i won’t hold people to the same standards i have on myself in terms of friendship bc everyone shows they care in different ways
#this is a part affirmation and part intro to a rant i need to unleash#but i’ll leave it in the tags here bc it feels safer lol#it’s abt my housemate the other day when we had our last class which is online but our previous classes were in person so as a class we#usually just pull it up on the main computer and broadcast the zoom in the classroom#but on this day the class before this zoom class got out early so lots of people went home early to just watch it on their own zoom or wtvr#so the row i sit in was pretty empty except for me my housemate and our two friends#and usually my housemate sits on my right but she got up and moved to sit on the other side next to our other friend and said nothing#and i didn’t want to say anything bc i was kinda sad/offended even though#her moving seats probably has nothing to do with me and much rather her personal preference i can’t help but think negatively abt myself#also one morning we were both off she went to the smoothie shop and coffee shop and just went to pick up her orders and i felt the same#reaction of like sad/offended bc she didn’t consider me at al like what if i wanted a smoothie too! TF#or coffee even though i don’t drink coffee anymore wtvr#my thoughts on her and my friendship are kinda rocky bc we feel so out of sync#i feel like she’s always in her own world and it’s hard to get through to her and become real friends#it’s whatever not all friendships can be deep and meaningful

#big long ramble about my day so far in the tags just cause i felt like sharing#i had a rheumatology appointment today but i was Way early#arrived when the doctors had broken for lunch. the receptionist told me there was a new nature path past the parking lot#and i was like hell why not. maybe i’ll find a cool bug#i did not find many bugs but hooo there were so many birds it was amazing#this fella was the highlight#i was trying to get a picture of it through a bush cause it looked cool#but then it flapped up In Front Of Me. like less than a meter away#and i just stared wide eyed at it for like three seconds#snapped a few pictures because it posed for me for a little#it also gave me a little gift :’) i didn’t catch the poop falling on camera lol#then it flitted off back the way it came#there was also a hummingbird (anna’s hummingbird i think)#and a few others i couldn’t identify. probably a few bushtits and i think two goldfinches at least#and also some really fucking loud geese(?) that i could not find#it was nice. talking a walk here and there is so nice#i did eventually find some bugs. there was a honeybee that was getting blown across the ground by the wind#literally tumbling all the way. i scooped it onto a leaf and put it somewhere a bit less windy#and there was another in a flower that seemed a bit stronger#also there were these little solitary bee home tubes!!! didn’t see any bees come out though#and there was a cat :D#hshshshshdh it’s been nice so far#my appointment went well too#mockingbird blessing :)#if i had a nickel for every time i happened to somehow be allowed within a meter of a bird to get a super clean picture of them#i would have two nickels#which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice /ref#the other instance was of hatchlings too :’D god they were so round and cute#i miss them i hope they had lots of babies

just worked my last shift 🥳 it’s very weird to be closing a six year chapter of my life
#doesn’t totally feel like i’m not going back#it’s a dumpster fire there but it’s still a little bittersweet#my coworkers got me two cakes and a card with nice messages and flowers and an octopus plushie 🥺#which is a reference to a particularly unhinged moment i was involved in lol#but my boss came in (he was supposed to be off) and gave me a project that kept me there an hour late 🙃#had to make my job stressful all the way up to the very end#yesterday he sent a message saying i was the rock they all depend on and it’ll be difficult if not impossible to fill my shoes#which is nice and all but why didn’t he SHOW his appreciation while i worked there lol#instead of overworking me and passing me over for promotions#i haven’t even gotten a raise in a year and i’m pretty sure the last one was nine cents#anyway#i’m freeeee#came home ready to celebrate but my dad’s mad at me so now i’m eating alone lol#also i see miles joined am for 505 ajsskdjej i’ll catch up on that momentarily#truly an emotional roller coaster of a day

my grandfather died and I’m deciding whether to go into work or not
#i don’t think it’s hit me yet#and I already cried over it before he died#part of me wants to go in to give me something to do and so I don’t sit around here all day thinking about it#but the other part of me is afraid it’ll hit me in the office and I’ll start getting emotional and possibly cry#but also I work in an office where I mostly sit and do nothing so it is possible for me to think about it there#plus I know my boss will probably send me home if she finds out#man that hospice nurse was right on the money when she said he’d probably be gone within a week cause it was literally a week exactly#I’m also only one of two people that work there and today is my designated day to work#like the other person would definitely cover for me if I asked her#its just that don’t know what to do#I’m going to try and go back to sleep because I’ve only gotten 3 hrs#personal

brain is screaming and running around like a toddler this week bc of all the changes happening
If I can make it through the end of exams without crying it will be a miracle
#roommates are moving out#which means two sets of parents in the house moving furniture and all that this weekend#next weekend I should say#this weekend is when my roommate’s cat goes home for the last time#this is the last week I have with him and I will miss him dearly#classes are ending so my routine is majorly upended#and a lot of the furniture I’ll be needing for my house after my roommates are gone won’t be here the first week#bc I’m going home to my parents’ house to pick it up over Mother’s Day#which also means I need to buy/make a gift for my mom for Mother’s Day#maybe I’ll do that in autism club today idk#she likes spring decor maybe I’ll paint her some flowers from the photos I’ve taken#and then there’s all the homework I still have to do and all the exams I still have to study for#and I still have to carry on and do my weekly tasks like job and grocery shopping and laundry#like nothing is wrong#AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA#I am not built to handle change well!!!!!!!

my ticket finally came!! 🩷
#i rarely have to use my full english name unless it’s stuff like this that i have to verify myself#and it always reminds me just how long it is ajshsbsjsk#like especially in korea but honestly even by like american standards#think it’s like 26 characters total including the two spaces since i have to do my first middle and last name 😅#long ass line blacking it out taking up half the ticket#diamond life#anyways story time!#no one knows the stress interpark has put me through in the process of actualy receiving this ticket….#was supposed to be mailed out like within a week of buying it#took forever to do that#Then they finally did like sometime last week and said expect it to come 3-5 days#and it came thru the post office and i was like okay probably next week because they don’t deliver on weekends#or so i thought#anyways that was like thursday i think? then i get a text like friday afternoon#saying oh we tried to call you to come deliver the ticket (bc i have to sign for it) but you didn’t answer so#even though i did not have a single call that wasn’t a saved number all day#so i immediately called the number that texted me and they were like well it’s too late to come today#(it was like 4pm)#and it’s about to be the weekend so we’ll come on monday just make sure you answer the phone this time#even though they literally never called me in the first place 🙄#pretty sure they were just pretending so they could go home early on a friday ahsjsks#but the thing was. i wasn’t even expecting it until this upcoming week so they could have just waited and i never would have known#ANYWAYS so i was like okay fine i’ll make sure someone is here to get it on monday#tell me why i slept in bc it’s sunday and i don’t have rehearsal and i was woken up by a call#they’re like i’ll be coming to deliver your ticket in about an hour!#like it is literally sunday and you said you couldn’t deliver on weekends…..but whatever i was like oh 네 감사합니다 you know#then dude came like. 5 mins later i’m still basically half asleep and look like a mess#but anyways none of that really matters now bc i finally have my ticket but#it put me through so much unnecessary stress bc i’m always paranoid about stuff like this until i have it physically in my hand#even though i knew it was gonna come and be okay
