12. How many WIPs do you have in your docs for next year?

A total of six! Seems manageable. I am hoping to finish one of them this December, but since I haven't yet decided which one, that might not end up happening.

30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?

Pretty much everything about the fairest stars. That thing was not meant to be this long. And I was not expecting it to be as popular as it is, which has made me so so happy!

3. Does their Echo function like it does in the MSQ? Or is there a twist to it?

it functions like it does in the MSQ! i think that's enough for Cori to handle already and i already gave them too much natural casting ability and intelligence, they can be a mid Echo user.

14. Of the Scions, who are they most worried for?

The twins. Both of them care so much and tend to wear their hearts on their sleeves, especially Alisaie, and Cori is a similar kind of person and knows how that can hurt. And they see them as their younger siblings, so even though the worry is definitely less necessary now than before--they are really proud of how the two of them have grown!--they're always going to be protective of the two of them.

that's such a hard question, but maaaybe hera? i'm hard working and determined to finish what i set out to do and i'm also the mom friend (gender neutral) in a lot of situations

13. if you could resurrect one dead character, or prevent them from dying, who would it be?

oh boy... maybe maul bc i find him really entertaining to watch, he's such a little shit that he should be in every single star wars project. (i'll also say tech but i refuse to believe he's actually dead as of right now)

i've been reading the high republic books and i've enjoyed all three i've read. but if i had to pick one i would say into the dark bc it has the funniest plot point of all time. also cohmac vitus and orla janeri my beloveds 💕

it's near impossible to choose a favorite but chopper has managed to steal my heart. he's unhinged and i love him for it. i need to mention bd-1 as well, my best buddy <3

the man is like……. goldilocks conundrum. he doesn’t like extremes - not too cold, not too hot. he likes cold until the snow gets slushy, he likes warmth until it’s too uncomfortably sweaty to be in. he might make a comment about his discomfort if he’s stuck in the weather and has to deal with it, but at that point it’s probably almost unbearable for him if he’s admitting that much.

🎧 HEADPHONES: do they like listening to music? do they prefer going to live shows or listening to stuff prerecorded? do they make playlists?

he loves listening to music!! him and his lil space music player and soft tunes and him <3 prob wouldn’t make playlists or anything but will put something on and just vibe while having his tea.

honestly just the process of getting ready for work or getting ready for bed sjdghsh he’s very habitual and efficient about his time. slower/calmer mornings will include some music with his tea, though, and every evening he also has tea with min before bed.

he would not want to admit to this but sentimental gifts either way. he doesn’t want meaningless things; he cares about the thought behind them, tenfold if he’s the one giving a gift.

Why did they become an adventurer? Glory? Money? …?

cori always wanted to travel. she spent the first 6 or so years of her life in dalmasca and then had to move to an isolationist village in the golmorre jungle, so pretty much her whole life she wanted to be able to go and see other things, but she never did because she would not be allowed back and did not want to leave her mom behind forever. eventually their mom told them they should go! because she knew they wouldn't be happy staying. and so cori went off to become an adventurer and see the world

5. Where were they during the Calamity? If they were in Carteneau, where did Louisoix’s spell teleport them?

i am not too sure about this yet, i do know the calamity happened around the time cori left their village to start traveling but i haven't yet decided if it was before or after! i'm thinking after, and i haven't really decided where exactly cori went after leaving lol

16. Tell us about the two major events from MSQ that left the deepest emotional scars on your WoL.

haurchefant's death is definitely one of them. he was the first romantic relationship cori ever had and also just. a huge comfort to them after the bloody banquet/through the first half of HW. they blamed themself for not being able to help him and they really retreated into themself afterward, throwing themself into their duties to avoid their grief. and when they couldn't avoid it anymore they thought about giving up being the wol (they wouldn't, but the idea appealed to them). he's the first one they think of when they think "for those we lost, for those we can yet save." and she only just stopped wearing the earrings with his shield's symbol on it after shb!

the second is i think a spoiler for you bc its at the end of the garlemald part of endwalker but i will add an emotional scar that has long since faded, which is when zenos said cori was just a weapon the others pointed at things. for a while she believed it! not that he truly knew that, but that maybe the others did treat her like a weapon. fortunately shb showed her how much they really care about her and saw her as more than that.
