Bugs, insects, flies — you do not know what these creatures are referred to as. You do not know of their origin, and you do not know if you are one of them taking a different form. They treat you as if you are one of them and protect you like you are their ruler.

The planet you reside on is dark. There is no other being except for these creatures that swarm you like you are their creator and their savior. You rarely move. Your cheek has grown accustomed to the cracked grounds of this wasteland as you slumber for periods of time you know not the length of. It is gray, yet you sometimes spot the colorful liquid that leaves their bodies as they succumb to the eternal slumber you sometimes seek.

There is no coldness and there is no hotness — you are always warm. They blanket you with their wings and speak to you in a language you have learned to understand.

"The followers of Qlipoth are coming!" they would say, and yet you did not know who they spoke of. The concept of beings existing that are not you or the insects that flutter about bringing you sustenance and company is foreign, and your young mind cannot comprehend it without physical proof. You assume they jest as they always do to try and humor you, and so you do not acknowledge their warnings.

"The followers of Qlipoth have come, you must leave!" And yet you chose to remain on the cracked grounds that have filled your sight for the many years you have lived. You chose to remain under their wings which shielded you as they fought against Qlipoth’s devout to keep them away from your form.

They are weak, you convince yourself, as you hear the shrieks of your swarm. They are weak, you convince yourself, as you hear the loud explosions which cause the frail floors to crack more and more. They are weak, you convince yourself, as you hold a baby bug in your arms like a toy to sooth the bubbling feeling of fear which is so foreign to you.

They are not weak, you realize, as you feel their hands pull at you from beneath the pile of dead creatures, doing their best to fight off the hallucinations from their wings.

These people — the followers of Qlipoth — are enemies. They do not deserve what the insects would call 'mercy'. The chains which cling to some of your joints barely hold you back as you scream at them in what sounds to them like gibberish. Your body is weak from the lack of movement, yet what you consider weakness is considered as strength that was once unattainable to them.

"If I didn’t know of the swarm I’d assume they were an abomination of the abundance," a woman speaks, yet her words mean nothing to you for you cannot understand them. You do not know who spoke, and you do not care. They are all enemies, and this 'Qlipoth' that they follow will be struck down by your own hands one day. They follow this being and therefor this being is the one to order them to do such horrendous acts.

You make an attempt to flutter the thin wings that decorate your back but they feel heavy. You look back and find them to be hidden away and chained. You do not feel the pain, but perhaps it is just the adrenaline rushing through you.

"Did you really have to cover them up like that?" "The workers said that they were hallucinating, we couldn’t risk it."

A gloved hand is placed in front of you. There is nothing in it. The golden rings shine under the lighting of the room you are in. The shimmer is new to your eyes and makes you squint from the reflecting light. You are used to the dullness of your 'home' planet, so when you look up to properly face the man who seems innocent enough, you recoil at the brightness off his appearance.

The many layers of clothes he adorns makes you curious. You do not wear much, only enough to properly cover you. The insects would keep you warm. Yet he wears so much — so many layers of attire made from materials you didn’t even know existed.

Your rage and hostility is pacified with curiosity, and that makes his smile a bit more genuine. He brings a hand to your head, and you’re ready to tear him to shreds should he try anything, but he only pets you gently. It reminds you of when the insects would nudge your head whenever they wanted you to wake up.

The sense of familiarity makes your eyes water but you do not shed the tears. You don’t like how they blind your sight and you blink rapidly to make them go away. The man clad in bright colors says something, but you once again can’t understand him.

But when the suffocating chains no longer cling to your tender skin, you understand that he is safe like those that cared for you and he is trying to comfort you. It works.

The man is named Aventurine — he repeated it constantly until you finally said it, albeit with the accent of a toddler. Still, he praised you. When he smiled and pat your head, you felt happy. It was a good thing.

You follow Aventurine around. He is the only one you have familiarized yourself with. He gets frightened by the swarm that follows you, so you scold them whenever they show themselves unannounced. You do not want him to leave you — you’ve noticed it happens a lot as you are exposed to human beings. He tells you he won’t leave you, how you’re his responsibility now.

You only understand a little bit of what he speaks, but you want to learn more to get more head pats and praise. The language they use is very foreign and requires much more effort to sound out the words as well as memorizing the symbols they write with. It is a lot of effort, but Aventurine is very encouraging.

Aventurine is nice. He is patient. He is understanding. He is helpful. You have been told that the one who has given you your strength was born from loneliness, but if that was the case, them shouldn’t your abilities be gone by now? Because with Aventurine, you do not feel lonely.

You want to tell him this, and one day you will. But for now, you’ll sit in his office, dressed in the nice clothing he has bought for you, and continue to practice your speech and writing.

You do not like leaving his office, because Qlipoth’s devout will then try to talk to you. You have tried many times to send your swarm after them, and you have succeeded many times, but Aventurine always scolds you. You do not like it when he scolds you. It’s a bad thing.

He tries to get you accustomed to human society. It is hard, especially because the human society he tries to make you interact with is filled with Qlipoth’s followers, but for him, you will try.

For him, you will listen to them as they order you to send your swarm to terrorize planets littered with precious material. For him, you will listen to them as blood stains your hands — blood which is not yours. For him, you will allow others to call you a monster which he reassures you that you aren’t.

For him, you will let yourself become the tool Qlipoth’s devout want you to become.

Something you have noticed and have been taught about human society is the concept that is family. You have heard the term many times, especially on this planet called Penacony. The main heads of this big hotel are called The Family. The head of The Family is the brother of his sister. You make sure to remember that.

Aventurine tells you to keep your features hidden as well as your little swarm bug which you brought with you, and you do not protest. The hotel is big, perfect for your insect friend to flutter about freely. Your hand clings to Aventurine’s coat, a habit you have picked up on. When you cling to him, people talk to him first. You don’t know why, but you do not care because it has yet to fail you.

You do not pay attention to the woman at the front desk. She speaks too fast for you to properly comprehend her words, anyways. You take note of the people around. There is nobody adorning the familiar uniform of Qlipoth’s followers, much to your relief. You tug on Aventurine’s coat, looking at him.

He hums, and looks at you while the woman looks the both of you up to check for the reservation. "Finish?" You ask quietly. "Almost. You can sit if you want," he replies, pinching your cheek playfully. You frown and shake your head.

"Alright, It seems you both have reservations. Here are the keys for your rooms. We hope you and your younger sibling enjoy your stay in penacony." The woman smiles and slides the cards on the counter. Aventurine thanks her and motions for you to follow, which you do without hesitance.

The walk is silent, and once the two of you are in the elevator, you decide to speak once more. "We are like Sunday and Robin."

Aventurine blinks at your declaration and turns so his body is facing you, leaning on the support bars of the elevator. "Is that a statement or a question?" He asks, but you don’t directly answer his question, only explaining your words.

"I am younger sibling, you are older sibling." It is then that Aventurine realizes you had paid attention to the woman’s words, or at least her send off ones. He didn’t think much of it, it wasn’t the first time people had assumed you both as siblings. Then again, you had yet to learn the concept of family and the various titles during those encounters.

Still, Aventurine smiles, chuckling lightly as the fuzzy feeling in his chest grows. "Yeah.. You’re the younger sibling, I’m older sibling." The elevator grows silent once more as you both wait for the doors to open.

He’ll need to finish those custody papers once this mission is over.

I didnt add any PPGxRRB ships for this post because i have a lot of shit that i want to say about PPGxRRB... i dont hate any of the ships on their own, i just dont like a lot of the popular interpretations of the ships.

Side Notes:

Blosick is the only PPGxRRB ship that i dont actually ship! I have ideas or HC's for all of the other ships. (vauge HC's albeit. I'm not a very passionate PPGxRRB shipper anymore)

I could see robin shipped with any of the PPG, i just prefer roblossom the most lol. Same thing goes for Princess and PrinBloss

I am pretty indifferent to ships with characters from other shows as long as the characters are similar in age. (Dexters lab, Billy and Mandy, Pibby, etc.)

- He saw his favorite character, you, the Crimson Reaper, come closer and closer towards his screen

- You came to a point where it looked like you were about to fall through

- Luffy’s chewing stopped, his jaw wide open just before he could take another bite

- If only someone could’ve taken a picture-

- “Hello- where am I?..” You asked him, confused as to why he was eating like that

- Luffy almost choked on the ginormous bite he had to swallow

- He rushed forward and gave you a big hug, tackling you and yelling about how cool your attacks are and demonstrating them as he clung onto you like a little monkey barnacle

- He thought of it as a little adventure with his favorite character in the world :D

- When you finally had to go back to your world, don’t expect Luffy to act mature and say goodbye like a normal person

- He’ll be clinging to you, shaking you up and down, side to side, bonking your head, you name it

- You had to reassure him that you’d never forget him, and that calmed him down enough to let you go back to your own world

- he studies a lot, and listens to one piece in the background as a source of music (although sometimes he gets distracted when he hears your voice lmao)

- He heard a fight scene going on, so he decided to take a break and stare at his phone where he was watching from

- Sure enough, you were fighting someone yet again, as perfect as usual

- He leaned on his hand, elbow resting on his wooden desk as he intently watched the fight go down

- You were slammed against his screen, almost making him jump backwards from the sudden movement

- He suddenly saw fingers poking through the screen, “He- Help!”

- That sounded like you!

- He grabbed your fingers almost instantaneously, struggling to pull you through before the enemy could grab hold

- Finally, you managed to squeeze through, falling on top of the tired man

- “Phew.. Thanks- uh.. But where am I now?”

- Law looked stunned, how the fuck were you real right now-??

- He poked you sides, making you jolt away, looking at him with a confused expression

- “You’re.. Alive and real-?” -law

- “.. why wouldn’t I be?”

- Law spent about 20 minutes explaining to you where you were, and exactly how the hell you came to be in his world

- “Ohhh so I’m supposed to be back there.. Gotcha. And what’s your name? I’m Y/n l/n but you probably already know that.”

- “Trafalgar, Law.”

- “That’s such a cool name!”

- You left him flustered with those words, leaving him speechless as you tried pressing your fingertips through the screen again, slowly falling inside

- You left law no time to even say a word before almost half your body started to fade inside of the screen again

- “Thanks Law, I’ll never forget you!”

- And just like that, you were gone. Those few moments were the best few of Law’s life, he was practically begging that he’d get to see you again somehow

- Today, Kid had to fix the frame of the Tv since it was peeling off (thanks to Luffy hugging it previously)

- the tv still worked, so he just had one piece running while he was fixing the back of it

- He didn’t even realize that hands were coming though the screen until an entire body came through

- He grabbed his hammer and was ready to strike, and he ended up hitting you straight in your arm

- “OW WHAT THE FU-?!” -you

- “FUCK WHAT-?!” -Kid

- Both of you were spooked

- Neither of you knew that another person was there

- you ended up hitting him back, and due to your abnormal strength, you sent him flying into his wall, the cracks spreading throughout the house

- “Whoops.” -you

- “The fuck?! How-?!” -Kid

- “Why’d you hit me?! That was uncalled for! And where am I?”

- “I didn’t mean to hit you, dumbass! You’re the one who was standing right in the way! You’re not in one piece that’s for sure.”

- “.. So then what’s this place?”

- “It’s this shithole called earth.”

- “Move.” Kid had to continue to fix the tv, but when it was finished, the tv stopped malfunctioning, meaning you could go back home

AAW THANK YOU! Tbh, I do believe that The Yan Adventurer (+ Yan Femme Fatale) Will be just little vignettes and scenarios that I write for when I'm in the mood BUT TYSM, OMG!? I also saw your last ask in my inbox but I still wouldn't mind writing this one since tbh, I did very heavily consider this idea when writing for my headcanons! This can be a scenario where the reader doesn't have feelings for him!

Tw. Manipulation, Character Death

When you told Jesse that you admired and respected him, HE WAS OVER THE MOON. The person who he ALSO admired and respected loved him back?! It had to be a dream come true! However, he was crushed when he found out that you admired and respected him the same way you'd respect a historical figure. Holding them in high regard but you wouldn't exactly think of dating them, nevermind, consider them being a romantic love interest. He'd joke about being too amazing to hide the pain and you'd roll your eyes and jokingly agree with him.

That didn't bother him, after all, he was a patient man. He'd try to be a bit more vulnerable with you, trying to show his insecurities and flaws more to make himself seem less like this extraordinary person and connect with you a little more.

However, when he comes back from his latest adventure and finds out about the new guy, he was very displeased. When Jesse starts to notice the shy glances you'd give him when he looked away, the way your smile would brighten when your hands would graze each other when you handed him his coffee, and he absolutely hated it when you were both about to reach for the same book and your hands touched, making you blush and apologize while the new guy teased you.

Jesse didn't like any of it.

"So, uh, what's going on with you and what's his face?" The blonde asked nonchalantly, crossing his arms on top of a pile of books and resting his head on it, watching you work intently. You seem to tense up at his question, not a good sign for him. You chuckle nervously and tell him it was nothing.

"Aw, c'mon, darlin! M'your bestest buddy!" He got up and leaned on you, his arm around your shoulder. You laugh and his heart flutters, because he made you happy.

Then you tell him that you love Richard whats-his-face and his heart breaks because he wasn't the one you loved.

Yet.

Richard is a Jesse fan too and Jesse will take advantage of that. Because his "fans" don't care about him, well, other than you. They want to be him, they want to romanticize his life, and Richard isn't any different. So Jesse'll take him under his wing for a bit, tell him he's got potential. Richard may seem like a sweet and nerdy guy now but give a man like him the confidence and he'll turn it into audacity. He starts to ignore you, favoring some "boy time" with Jesse, rolling his eyes when you talk about things and claiming he and Jesse are men of action (Jesse often having to force a smile but never really saying anything of him), and your heart begins to hurt as he becomes less and less like the man you fell in love with.

"Ugh, I think I made a monster." Jesse sighed, leaning against your desk. You frowned as you watch Richard trying to flirt with the cute student teachers, flaunting himself over them and talking about how he was gonna join his idol on his next adventure tommorrow.

"Yeah, you really did." You remarked bitterly, only to see Jesse give you a shocked yet hurt look on his face, "I mean- Ugh, Jesse, I'm sorry. I just...I don't know, I really liked him..."

"Aw, I know ya did, sweetheart. M'sorry, I just wanted to be friends with 'im, too! But don't worry, I'll try to make this right! Ya know, open his eyes that what I do ain't all its cracked up to be!" He assured. You chuckled softly at his enthusiasm and determination, "Don't get him killed, alright?"

"I'll try," He says, his eyes glinting dangerously but you don't notice it, "Long as he don't act a fool, everythin'll be peachy!"

He already knows Richard isn't gonna come back, he already knows that you'll be upset for a while, and he knows that he'll have to pick up the pieces. It won't be Jesse at fault, however, because he gave Richard that much confidence. That boy'll be manipulated into running into his own death because that's the kind of person Jesse is.

A lovable and unpredictable adventurer who can make people believe in the impossible.

Richard would die, thinking he had the chance to become something more than a boring old archivist at some hoity-toity University, and Jesse would live, relishing in the fact that even though you were mourning, it felt like heaven being in your arms♡

Out of curiosity, have you watched/read Demon Slayer?? Firstly, it's been really great and I think you might enjoy it, but secondly, I haven't seen much on the DoS forum about it which is surprising...! I've always thought a period with demons au like Demon Slayer or Inuyasha would be interesting for a character like Shikako. Plus, it's so full of characters like her overall who are wickedly competent and trying to survive but still maintain their humanity and loved ones. And I think the idea of her being a Slayer and developing her own Breath Style would be very very cool.

I've not consumed any Demon Slayer, unfortunately. There was a several years gap in my manga/anime consumption a while back and I think that's when Demon Slayer was first coming out/most popular and by the time I was back in other things were coming out so I just never circled back to it.

I did grow up on Inuyasha though and consider it one of my, like, foundational anime but I think because of that my brain forgets that it can play with it as more than just a ctrl find and replace type thing that I did so long ago in these tiny three sentence fic

There is something to be said about the different genres of DoS recursive fic and how more than the strict AU setting, the most defining factor is how easily Shikako can handle the main problems. Or, rather, what the problems that she can't wave away are more indicative of the genre than anything else. Maybe I'm using these terms incorrectly... maybe tone is more accurate.

Because I've read, for example, several "Shikako goes to the Warring Eras fic" that felt like different genres depending on if Shikako could feasibly beat Madara/Tobirama/Hashirama/etc in a fight. If she can't, then it becomes a high stakes horror/thriller where any wrong move could get her killed. Whereas if she can then it becomes a political drama.

I'm maybe getting too off topic. The reason why I brought it up is mostly because it would be interesting to see a recursive fic where Shikako's abilities only just allow her to keep up with the setting as opposed to her usual steamrolling. Don't get me wrong, I also love OP!Shikako enters a new world/dimension and runs around doing whatever she wants, bewildering everyone who witnesses her. But it's rarer to find her in a new world/dimension where she has access to her shinobi abilities but they aren't OP.

(As opposed to the fic where she reincarnates into a new world, but because that world doesn't have chakra she only has her memories/tactical experience. Which isn't nothing, but also isn't the impossibilities of sealing. I mostly am thinking of Leaf/Tavina's the world will hear us roar series in which Shikako is reborn as Tywin Lannister's twin which is fantastic)

So to see Shikako in a world where demons are definitely real and everything she's learned from the Naruto world is only just enough to survive would be very cool!

... I am now letting thoughts of a proper Inuyasha!AU percolate in my brain, lol...
