This has been sitting in my drafts for a long, long time, and I can’t wait to finally share it.

1 day post final movie scene. Everyone’s wounds are finally healed, and everything is back to normal. 

And then, Donnie wakes up. His head hurts like hell. It’s not a sensory overload, everything’s fine, it just... there’s an ache. So he gets up and out of his room and...

The lair is stained with purple splashes. Dark ones, not his fault, the Kraang. But... but they’d washed it all out, the lair looked fine now.

Mikey’s room opens. Out walks Donnie’s brother except... no. Mikey’s not wearing his mask, showing off the orange spots dotted around his eyes. Tied to his wrists are a green fabric, the one they all had to represent the loss of Karai, and on the other is... his own mask. And then, trailing down his arms, are two very familiar mask tails. Leo’s and Raph’s. And then, as if that wasn’t confusing enough, tied around Mikey’s waist is Donnie’s purple hoodie.

And when Mikey see’s Dee he doesn’t... he doesn’t say anything. Just sighs and pulls out his phone. Sticks some headphones in his ears and walks into the kitchen like- like Donnie wasn’t even there.
