Okay so, the world building. In tma au they are all human because I think it would be easier that way with meat and corruption being a factor. So they live in tma world with all the cults and institutes but the whole story takes place in the 80's and before the main story there was a large political or whatever organization like EU and it was called senate like in the IDW comics and decepticons protested against them and eventually destroyed them they are considered a terrorist organization but are more like league of super villains but it's way too cartoony for tma univers so terrorist it is. Autobots is organization that is sprout out as a reaction to decepticons and consist from anti terrorist squads all around the world merged into one new organization. Decepticon need to hide, so they're base is under water at the coasts of Mexico cuz I just think it's epic sigma and I'm leaning this reality more to 80's futurism then realism. So by the 80's war between Autobots and Decepticons began to combust and at one moment both Megatron and Optimus disappeared leaving Soundwave searching for Megatron while he has to make sure Decepticons won't turn in just a mess, Bumblebee and Hot Rod searching for Optimus while Ultra Magnus replacing Optimus. The main protagonist is Soundwave because he is so perfect for this role honestly and I'm just not that interested in autobots. He is marked by the eye but will transform into avatar, so he could find Megatron, but he would have to adjust to his new powers. Shockwave knows a lot about the entity's he was a fan of Lietners collection although found him kinda pathetic, he buried himself in the research of possible ways to use fears for decepticons and at one point isolated himself so much in research he became avatar of lonely. Part 1 of tma au Astrotrain and Blitzwing next, spoiler they are doomed.

Sentinel Prime from Transformers Animated is so interesting once you start to click in that like BlackArachnia and Optimus he’s also like, really traumatized from Archa-7. Like yes, he’s an asshole but a bunch of his issues link back to this moment. His Xenophobia and germophobia that cause him to assume every single organic is dangerous and aggressive until very much proven otherwise? It’s because Archa-7 didn’t have much information on it outside the details on the wreckage and then was revealed to be filled with aggressive local fauna that he likely assumes to have killed Elita-1 if the explosion didn’t get her. His beef with Optimus? Optimus pushed them to leave (so they wouldn’t die too) but that meant leaving behind not only the chance of finding Elita alive but also the chance of finding her body.
We can also argue that Optimus choosing to take the blame for the incident as a whole caused some problems because Sentinel knows he’s at fault, but also he’s majorly defensive and Optimus doing this accidentally has given Sentinel the perfect way to shove down and repress his guilt.
There’s also the fact that Optimus also doesn’t tell Sentinel about BA, likely because he’s trying to help them both (and keep her existence secret from the Autobots in case they do target her like she fears)—but this backfires spectacularly in Predacons Rising because Sentinel all at once encounters the information that not only did Elita survive and mutate into something that to him at very least resembles the creatures that attacked them, but also she converted to the Decepticons and appears to be doing unethical experiments—like considering his character, it’s no wonder he said what he did. After all, I’d bet he was likely going through the same stuff Optimus was in Along Came A Spider. It’s obviously what he says is horrible, but also with everything happening, and who Sentinel is? (And we do know this encounter eats at him, the way we focus on his expression as he walks off, and the fact that this episode resolves with Optimus choosing to speak to Sentinel alone and apologize to him? GODDD)
All and all, I LOVE the fact that his trauma responses are messy, because it feels very accurate to his character. Optimus is a character who’s open to change (and someone who does research—as we see him watching old history reels at the start of the show) but comparing him against BA (was accepted by the decepticons likely for her usefulness while still being considered a freak and likely isolated, both which aren’t going to help her view of herself and her new form) and Sentinel (likely hasn’t encountered another organic species since Archa-7 until arriving on Earth and hasn’t had anything to force him to confront his emotions about Archa and Elita) it’s one of the things that make him a great foil to Optimus. Optimus has been given more room to grow and wants to grow, but Sentinel doesn’t quite have much of either of those things.
Honestly I could probably also write a whole thing about Sentinel and Optimus’ on and off friendship and rivalry, especially regarding stuff like Ultra Magnus’ choice to give Optimus a ship (and thus make Optimus a prime anyway despite him being kicked from the academy due to his choice to take the fall for Sentinel) and the whole side plot that was in the plans for TFA season 4 where Optimus and Sentinel were going clashing over being Magnus. Because their dynamic (even outside of Senop!) is so fascinating.

Senator Shockwave — The Scientist with a Smile and a Shadow
Tumblr media
Shockwave was a brilliant yet deeply obsessive scientist, particularly fixated on the creation of life through experimental means—experiments that many would call disturbing or even monstrous.
Despite his fascination with the darker sides of science, Shockwave himself had a surprisingly friendly and cheerful personality. He was sociable, approachable, and oddly beloved by the public who saw him as charming and trustworthy.
His exceptional work drew the attention of Sentinel Prime, who admired his genius enough to appoint him to the position of Senator, assigning him the task of developing technologies and innovations to serve Sentinel’s grand plans.
His Own Transformation
Shockwave was extremely committed to his own ideals and vision of perfection. Dissatisfied with his original appearance, he willingly underwent Empurata—a radical procedure that altered both his body and mind. He emerged with the cold, imposing visage we know today, and he came to deeply love this new form.
Notable Works: The Protoform Project
One of Shockwave’s most infamous projects was the creation of Protoforms.
Though Protoforms could be mass-produced as instant citizens, they lacked any unique or inherent special abilities. Shockwave saw this as a minor inconvenience—and devised a horrifying workaround:
He ordered the abduction of Cybertronians with special abilities, extracted their powers, and transferred those abilities into Protoforms.
The original host was either released… or executed to cover it up—the latter being far more common.
The result? Beings like Jetfire and Jetstorm, two unfortunate twins who ended up as mere playthings for Sentinel Prime’s amusement. Shockwave deeply disapproved of this misuse of his creations.
The Rainmakers — Unethical Power Embodied
One of the most dangerous experiments born from Shockwave’s labs was the Rainmakers.
They were created by stealing powers from various Cybertronians and compressing that energy into new bodies. The outcome was a squad of ultra-powerful individuals—each cursed in their own way.
Members of the Rainmakers:
Nova Storm
* Power: Cataclysmic Explosions
* The most powerful in the group; wears permanent restraints to keep his strength in check.
* Too dangerous to be left alone, he was assigned to Skywarp—who could teleport him to safety if anything went wrong.
Acid Storm
* Power: Highly corrosive acid secretion
* Tragically, this power harms even himself—his body constantly leaks acid, making him a social pariah.
* As a result, he lives in isolation, avoided by most.
Sunstorm
* Power: Converts solar energy into devastating attacks
* Was taken in by Swindle, the crafty arms dealer
* However, Sunstorm became close friends with Toxitron, often sneaking out to enjoy adventures together—much to Swindle’s irritation.
Ion Storm
* Power: High-voltage electricity generation
* Unlike the others, she had a passion for music and eventually joined Soundblaster in forming a rock band.
Despite their dark origins, some Rainmakers continue to seek their own paths—searching for identity in a fractured world.
Shockwave’s Secret Projects: The Stunticons and the Commandos
While the war raged on Cybertron, Megatron began work on his own combiner team, the Stunticons.
The project took a long time and wasn’t completed until they arrived on Earth—with the ultimate goal of making Motormaster a walking fortress of destruction.
Simultaneously, Shockwave developed a side project of his own: the Commando Team.
This team also saw completion on Earth, but delays stemmed from two major issues:
1. Shockwave had to divide his time helping with the Stunticon program
2. He was missing one Spark to complete the combiner structure
Originally, he had five Sparks ready to be placed into Protoform bodies.
But after calculating the team’s dynamics, he realized one Spark had to serve as a Commander—unable to combine with the rest.
To solve this, he stole a Sparkling from the prototype team known as the Combaticons.
Disappeared in the Dark
Among the many victims lost to Shockwave’s experiments was Flame—older brother to Hot Rod and Atomizer.
He vanished after defecting to the Decepticons… and like many others, was never seen again.

god we really could've had it all. about to go on a rant about ultra magnus and starscream bc i have a disease.
i was talking in discord yesterday about how ultra magnus and starscream are two sides of the same coin bc they have a shitload of parallels but bc season 3 was cut short AND they introduced magnus so late they couldn't do anything with it.
both magnus and starscream react to sudden changes to plans with fury, by getting in people's faces, but it's how they proceed from there that differs. starscream isn't willing to look inward to see the problem, whereas ultra magnus realizes after a while that his behavior is a detriment to those around him and reaches out.
hell even them becoming disabled over the course of the series could've been handled really interestingly. starscream lost his t-cog while feeling isolated and alone, and the act thereof made him feel even more so. he had no one. so he then regressed and went back to someone that wasn't good for him -- because he believed he had no other choice. whereas magnus was feeling isolated and alone, loses his hand, and realizes that the people around him actually do care for him in more than an artificial way so long as he's willing to reach out and bridge the gap. THERES SO MUCH THEY COULDVE DONE TO LAYER THAT OUGH,,,,,,,,,,
we just had so little time with magnus to do anything thanks to how short season 3 was.
transformers prime would've been so good if it was good.

Werewolf Models
WEREWOLF IDENTIFICATION POP-QUIZ!
this is for all the werewolf fans out there (tumbleweed rolls by). i've long since memorised all their features by heart, but they're still hard to differentiate sometimes, so here are the isolated models for all the werewolves in the game!
i'll also have the names of each in the alt text so they can be read voluntarily (by clicking/tapping the 'alt' symbol), just in case you'd prefer to test yourself and guess :)

that's all of them! here are some things i'd like to note.
the older werewolves of the bunch (silas, caleb, and kaylee) are all noticeably different from the others. as they get older they appear more wolf-like, with longer snouts and more haphazardly-positioned teeth.
they also all look eerily like their human counterparts, no? some less than others of course, but werewolves like kaylee and dylan look very similar. i remember reading somewhere that they were made to fit the faces of the actors, though i may be making that up.
it's also worth noting that the fresher werewolves (nick, jacob, emma and laura) are also very similar to one another, particularly their teeth- at a guess, they all used the same base model which was then morphed to look more like the character they transformed from.

he's Stressed .... (i got a pc that can actually run tq at ultra with a good framerate isn't that fun??? hq freecam screenshots incoming)

*rubs hands together*
for clarification, "grounder" refers to bots with truck or heavy duty car alt modes, like optimus, bulkhead, or ultra magnus. i have separate hcs for speedsters like jazz and bumblebee.
GIANT ramble under the cut.
grounders, to me, are a lot like horses: big, powerful, and always on the move. they're nomadic by nature, and while they may have a home base and may stay in one place for a long time, they thrive on the open road, seeing everything they can and learning everything possible about their environment. as such, it's common for grounders to have meetup spots where they can swap information and give each other pointers on where to go next. these little spots tend to be scattered around cybertron, or, when transformers are introduced to humans, on earth.
every once in a while, though, massive congregations of grounders pop up, seemingly at random, heralding extravagant celebration and revelry.
bacchanaliae are the result of grounders from all over cybertron coming together in unbelievably giant parties. a bacchanalia can be as small as a hundred grounders, to as large as hundreds of thousands of them. since bacchanaliae aren't exclusive or private affairs, their size depends on how quickly the knowledge of it spreads. one grounder tells his friends, they tell their friends, and the knowledge spreads like wildfire. only three things are clear: the date, the location, usually somewhere in the middle of nowhere, far from any major cities, and the host or hosts. they may happen at any time, though they're more common near the end of the solar cycle. other frames are welcome to come, but due to the isolation of most bacchanaliae, they're usually almost entirely comprised of grounders.
bacchanaliae are communal affairs. this means that everyone is expected to bring something: food, high grade, cygars, products one may be selling, anything to make things more enjoyable for the others going there. this often means that grounders from across cybertron will bring their recipes or local delicacies from the regions they've been travelling through. grounders will frequently bring the best they can make, and they're always happy to share recipes and how-tos.
but bacchanaliae aren't just for wild merriment. one of the most central aspects of these parties is the storytelling aspect of it. grounders are cybertron's foremost storytellers, and each one has a myriad of stories they've either lived or heard while on the road. (why do you think optimus enjoyed his job as an archivist, surrounded by stories? or why do you think bulkhead has a near encyclopedic knowledge of wrecker stories, despite having left early in his career?)
as such, a bacchanalia can be a host to stories from across the planet, from personal anecdotes to war stories to tales of yore throughout cybertron. these stories aren't just for fun; they're meant to keep cybertron's history alive. historians seek out these gatherings to learn more about untold parts of history; if you're looking for information about the foundation of vos, the origins of the gladiator pits of kaon, or how the primes fell, chances are, there's a grounder there who can point you in the right direction.
bacchanaliae aren't just engex fueled ragers; they're how friends across the planet reunite, how knowledge of nearly forgotten cultures spreads, how grounders from all over cybertron can come together in peace. they may seem intimidating at first, but a closer look shows them to be massive hubs of community, endless knowledge, and history kept alive. they're a sight to behold, and being invited to one by a grounder friend is nothing short of an honor.

About Vegeta
Tumblr media
Name: Vegeta (IV) Title: Prince of All Saiyans Allegiance: Dragon Team / Z-Fighters Occupation: Martial Artist, Former Saiyan Elite Warrior Age: 45-55 Birthday: Unknown Race: Saiyan Morality Alignment: Chaotic Good Gender: Male Sexuality: Straight Handedness: Right-handed Height: 169 cm Eye Color: Onyx Hair Color: Black Misc: Does not have his tail.
Personality:
Vegeta embodies pride, resilience, and an unyielding drive to be the best. As the Prince of the Saiyan race, he carries a deep-seated pride in his heritage, which fuels his relentless ambition and fierce sense of honor. Unlike Goku, Vegeta’s pursuit of power comes from a complex blend of loyalty to his Saiyan roots and an intense desire to prove himself. His rivalries are born out of respect but also a deep-seated frustration that someone else, especially Goku, could surpass him. This has created a complex bond with Goku, where respect and rivalry intermingle in every battle and training session they share.
Beneath his stern exterior, Vegeta is surprisingly introspective and loyal. His journey has taken him from a ruthless warrior intent on domination to a family man with a strong sense of responsibility toward his loved ones and Earth. Despite his often gruff demeanor, he is fiercely protective of his family and will go to any lengths to keep them safe. Vegeta’s honor also prevents him from using underhanded tactics; he prefers to face opponents head-on, driven by a need to win on his own terms rather than through trickery.
Vegeta’s stoic front sometimes masks a deep vulnerability and a desire to find his place beyond his past sins and failures. His pride may be his strength, but it also isolates him, as he struggles to fully express his affection or admit his admiration for others. However, this stoicism slowly shifts with his growing bond with his family and the friends he once viewed as beneath him. In his quieter moments, he reflects on his journey, taking a subdued pride in the warrior and protector he has become.
Background:
As the Prince of the Saiyan race, Vegeta was raised with the belief that he would one day rule and restore his people to their former glory. His childhood under the oppressive rule of Frieza shaped him into a hardened, ruthless warrior, committed to fulfilling his father’s legacy. Following the destruction of Planet Vegeta, he became one of Frieza’s most powerful soldiers, working under him with a simmering hatred that fueled his desire to one day break free and defeat his master.
After coming to Earth and facing Goku, Vegeta’s perspective on strength began to change. His pursuit of Goku’s level of power gradually evolved from bitter rivalry to a grudging respect and an understanding of what it truly meant to be a warrior. This journey saw him through battles with enemies like Majin Buu, where he sacrificed himself for his family and the planet he’d come to care for. His redemption arc is marked by moments of self-reflection and growth, transforming him from an enemy to a staunch ally and protector.
By the time he encounters the God of Destruction Beerus and witnesses the depths of divine power, Vegeta’s journey has come full circle; he no longer seeks power purely for revenge or supremacy but for a sense of fulfillment and the desire to protect those he cherishes.
Trivia:
Vegeta’s hobbies include training intensively, bonding with his family in his own unique way, and occasionally indulging in Earthly customs that amuse him.
He has achieved Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, and his unique transformation known as Ultra Ego, which enhances his power through battle damage and getting lost in the lust of battle.
Unlike Goku, Vegeta often pushes himself to his limits from the start, relying on sheer intensity and power.
Vegeta’s fighting style is aggressive and unyielding, showcasing his powerful techniques like the Galick Gun, Final Flash, and Big Bang Attack.
While he rarely shows it, Vegeta is fiercely proud of his wife Bulma’s intellect and appreciates her unwavering confidence in him.
His Saiyan appetite is nearly as large as Goku’s, but he often enjoys meals in a more composed, almost regal manner.
Vegeta’s pride means he often declines help, preferring to face challenges alone if possible, though he has learned to accept assistance when absolutely necessary.

Morality in movement
Don’t be in such a hurry to condemn a person because he doesn’t do what you do, or think as you think or as fast. There was a time when you didn’t know what you know today.
—Malcolm X[158]
Liberal morality seeps into movements in the form of incessant regulation and pacification of struggles. It replaces the transformative power of dignity with moral indignation and its tendencies of shame and self-righteousness. It pathologizes anger, hatred, and destruction, turning non-violence into a moral imperative rather than a tactic. This is the morality of the cop who tells you to calm down with one hand on his gun; the sympathizer whose “support” for you evaporates as soon as things become “violent”; the citizen who says you had better vote or you can’t complain. People in struggle are constantly told about the “correct” way of conducting themselves if they want to be respected and heard. The liberal morality of whiteness converts racism and sexism into matters of individual prejudice. Conversations about violence and oppression are constantly derailed by individual emotions and the erasure of power relations where white feelings matter more than Black lives.
Under the stifling weight of liberal morality, anti-liberal morality has grown in reaction. The targets and the enemies change, but the structure remains, and radical morality can reach new heights of corrosive self-righteousness and punishment. From this perspective, things are always in danger of becoming infected or diluted by liberalism. Liberal or oppressive sentiments must be attacked wherever they are detected. Call-outs and radical take-downs proliferate. Indignation grows: everything is corrupt and tainted; nothing is as it should be. This “as it should be” is no longer determined by Christian priests, or politicians and good citizens, but by a radical certainty that one is on the right side of a moral drama between good and evil.
Like the old Christian morality, new forms of moralism subsist on the evils they decry: to remain pious, the priest must reveal new sins. This can surface as an incessant search for oppression and a ceaseless attack on anyone who is found guilty, including oneself, through new forms of confession, trials, and punishments. The new Other is the not-radical-enough, the liberal, the perpetrator, the oppressor.
A number of our interlocutors have pointed out how these moralistic tendencies toward punishment can end up excluding many of those who are supposed to be centered by anti-oppressive practices: poor people, people without formal education, and others who haven’t been exposed to the ever evolving language of radical communities. In a compassionate way, Kelsey Cham C. shares their experience with call-out culture and language policing upon being introduced to radical communities:
When I came out as queer in Montreal … I started to find accurate words to describe how I felt about the world. Even though this skill was my entry into more political communities, I still felt incredibly judged. It was like an ultra-heightened experience of not being allowed in the cool-kid club in high school — but with all new rules that I had not learned and that no one took the time to explain to me. The language I grew up with could no longer be applied and would sometimes get me kicked out of social settings. My entire experience of growing up was judged and I felt totally isolated in trying to figure out why. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve figured out the “right way” to navigate in these communities by learning language protocol and radical terminology while dropping the offensive and oppressive slang. I don’t disagree with changing language to support systems we care about. I do disagree with judging people for not knowing the rules—especially since radicals are often organizing in favor of marginalized communities who are generally not aware of these rules. If I wanted to fill out a form to describe my identity, I could check a bunch of boxes that would make my experience worth standing up for: Queer. Trans. Person of Color. Former Sex Trade Worker. Ironically, the biggest advocates for people like me—the people ready to throw down stats about harm reduction and youth, gender queer folks, and the vulnerable people in society—many of them had no patience for me. I came into their communities looking for support, friends, and direction. I came having left abusive and sexually manipulative partners. I came in hella lost, unaware, and not very educated. But I came in agreement with their political perspectives, because I knew society was fucked from the time I was twelve—maybe even younger. In high school, while other kids wrote about teen heartbreak, I wrote about injustices I saw everywhere. I came into these radical communities wanting to make change, but all my habits and the language I had learned to protect myself with got me in shit.[159]
Cham C.’s story gets at a common experience in radical milieus, in which language and conduct are intensely scrutinized, and those who fail are often forced out. Far from arbitrary, these rules are often earnest attempts to root out oppressive behaviors, with the aspiration of creating spaces where everyday habits and language are less laden with structural violence. In a world where white supremacy, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, and other forms of violence are incessant, the desire to create spaces that feel a little safer makes a lot of sense. Yet as Cham C. explains, they can become stifling and exclusionary in the enforcement of a “right” way of being.
What reinforces rigid radicalism, we think, is not the attempt to change language or behavior, but the way these attempts can be subsumed by moralism and reinforce shame, blame, punishment, and guilt. Morality is dangerous not only because it can reinforce oppression, but because it can divorce people from their own power. People are reduced to their statements, becoming symptoms or examples of violence, rather than complex and changing beings. Moral indignation can promote stagnation, encouraging complaints and condemnations that lead nowhere. The desire to be morally right can get in the way of here-and-now transformation.

Fandom : Transformers
Series : Transformers Prime
Topic : Love languages headcanons [Autobot edition]
Warning : No warnings, no smut, just family friendly.
Optimus prime 🚛
• While Optimus is often busy he seems to care for everyone, sometimes priorizing someone else's needs before his.
• This might result in him having many different love languages.
• However, I think he's love language is words of affirmation. He's not a power hungry leader, he knows when to be serious and when to be more calm and collected. Therefore he definitely knows how keep everyone's spirits up.
Ratchet 🩹
• While Ratchet is often a grumpy doctor who prefers working alone, but not entirely isolating himself, he does occasionally feel the need to help someone out.
• Even if he doesn't like them much.
• It isn't surprising because anyone working as a nurse or doctor definitelydoesn't want any harm to you.
• Usually busy but will do acts of service.
Bumblebee 🐝
• While Bumblebee can be childish at times, he is sure mature still.
• He seems to have this whole like "father and son" relationship with Optimus.
• Bee definitely learns a lot from Optimus mostly so it's no surprise he's just as kind and will try to be optimistic and encourage others.
Smokescreen 💨
• He's a lot like Bumblebee, but he can be downright rebelious at times.
• Despite his attitude he seems to like adventures a lot.
• Going on trips might sound like a cool quality time to him.
Wheeljack 🏎
• He is emotionally unavailable most of time and it's totally fine. His job isn't the easiest and it can be pretty demanding.
• Since he like to do engineering he might craft some cool gifts for others.
• If he does feel much more open about his feelings he might do some quality time or temporary acts of service.
Arcee 🏍
• Athletic female, who might sound sassy at times (she's just tired, that's it) but actually has quite a "older sister/mother" vibe to her.
• She is often busy because of her duties however she does love spending time with people she truly cares about.
• This might include actual gifts and meaningful conversations.
Bulkhead 🗡
• He might look threaten due to his size but he's quite peaceful and hard to enrage.
• Very grateful for his teammates, will fight for them.
• Since he's kind, he usually doesn't care if he likes or dislikes the activity he's doing with others, all that matters is that he can hang out with others and have fun once in a while.
Ultra Magnus 👮‍♂️
• Serious, by the book type of person.
• This made everyone hard to warm up to him, especially Wheeljack.
• Despite that he still is ready to serve someone, even if he doesn't like them back. Massive respect for his patience.
Cliffjumper 🍁
• Very carefree, as well as bold.
• Since he's extroverted, he likes to hang out with everyone.
• Can be teaseful (or playful) a bit and just make other people smile. He knows how to talk smooth.

STON.fi: Redefining DeFi on TON with Cross-Chain Power
Tumblr media
Decentralized Finance (DeFi) is transforming at an incredible pace, and STON.fi is right at the center of this revolution. Built on The Open Network (TON), this decentralized exchange (DEX) isn’t just keeping up—it’s setting the pace with unmatched trading efficiency, massive liquidity, and seamless cross-chain integrations.
While many DeFi projects struggle with scalability and interoperability, STON.fi has taken a bold step forward. Its integration with Symbiosis has unlocked cross-chain liquidity, allowing users to trade and transfer assets across multiple blockchains effortlessly. This is more than just an upgrade—it’s a major shift in how decentralized trading works.
Let’s dive into how STON.fi is reshaping DeFi and why it’s the go-to DEX for TON traders.
STON.fi’s Explosive Growth: The Numbers Speak
STON.fi isn’t just growing—it’s dominating. Here’s why:
Total Trading Volume: Over $5.2 billion, making it the leading DEX on TON.
User Base: 4 million+ unique wallets, representing 81% of all TON DEX users.
Active Traders: 25,800+ daily users, with 16,000+ multi-transaction users every day.
New User Growth: Over 8,000 new users joining daily.

The Supernova and the Ensemble of Energies: A Relational Understanding of Stellar Collapse
Renato Ferreira da Silva
Abstract
This article proposes a relational and multidimensional understanding of the supernova phenomenon, grounded in the idea that energy should be viewed as a functional network of interactive and emergent modes. Through the decomposition of total energy into gravitational, nuclear, thermal, kinetic, radiative, and neutrino components—and integrating aspects of quantum chromodynamics (QCD) and quantum degeneracy—the stellar explosion is revealed as the manifestation of a cosmic choreography of energetic transformations. The analysis incorporates fundamental physical mechanisms and proposes a relational model formalizable through systems of coupled equations.
1. Introduction: Beyond the Scalar
Einstein's equation, E=mc2, expresses an equivalence between mass and energy, but does not distinguish the multiple forms and dynamics energy can assume in complex systems. In the case of supernovae, total energy cannot be reduced to a scalar quantity, but must be understood as a system of interdependent energetic interactions. This article reinterprets stellar collapse as an expression of energetic networks, articulating astrophysical theory, quantum mechanics, and relational ontology.
2. Stellar Collapse and Fundamental Mechanisms
The collapse of a massive star occurs when nuclear fuel is depleted and thermal and radiation pressure are no longer sufficient to counteract gravity. Electron, and later neutron, degeneracy—sustained by the Pauli exclusion principle—temporarily halts the collapse. However, when the core mass exceeds the Chandrasekhar limit (~1.4 solar masses), these degenerate pressures are overcome, leading to gravitational implosion and the possible formation of a neutron star or black hole.
Additionally, quantum chromodynamics (QCD) effects, such as hadron-quark phase transitions, may occur, forming states of ultra-dense matter—such as strange stars—and altering the energetic profile of the event.
3. Energy Components in a Supernova
a) Gravitational Energy
The primary initial source is the contraction of the core, converting gravitational energy into heat and accelerating the collapse. This energy is partially converted into the following forms.
b) Thermal Energy
Temperatures above 1010 K trigger nuclear reactions and create an environment of extreme thermal excitation, influencing the subsequent energy forms.
c) Nuclear Energy and QCD
Fusion and fission of heavy nuclei release nuclear binding energy. Under extreme conditions, QCD transitions can convert nucleons into quark-gluon plasma, releasing additional energy and redefining the structure of the resulting compact matter.
d) Kinetic Energy
The outer layers are ejected at velocities up to 10% of the speed of light. This kinetic energy generates interstellar shockwaves that can induce the formation of new stars.
e) Electromagnetic Energy
Photon emission across various bands—from visible to gamma rays—is intensified by magnetic instabilities and nuclear recombination processes. The observed light curve of a supernova is dominated by this component.
f) Neutrino Energy
Over 90% of the explosion’s total energy is emitted in the form of neutrinos. The observation of Supernova 1987A confirmed this value. These particles interact very weakly with matter but carry essential information about the core collapse.
4. Relational Formalization: Ontology and Model
The total energy of a supernova should be understood as a coupled transformation function:Etotal(t)=∑i=1nEi(t)+∑j,kΦjk(Ej,Ek,t)
Where Ei(t) represents each form of energy as a function of time, and Όjk represents coupling terms (transformation, exchange, dissociation) between components.
This approach aligns with a relational ontology, in which energy results from transformation networks rather than isolated entities. This model may be linked to relational quantum mechanics (Rovelli) and relativistic hydrodynamic equations (such as TOV) that describe the dynamic equilibrium of ultra-dense matter.
5. Conclusion: The Supernova as a Relational Energy Choreography
A supernova is more than a stellar explosion: it is a choreography of interconnected energetic modes, mediated by fundamental physical mechanisms, from gravitational collapse to QCD transitions. The proposed relational view integrates philosophical ontology and astrophysical rigor, offering an interpretive and formal model capable of dialoguing with empirical observations and computational simulations. This approach can be extended to understanding black holes, neutron stars, and galactic dynamics.
