These are guys. my things. my fellas dare i say.

These two are from Underfracture, an AU where the core reactor malfunctioned so hard it nearly broke the world.

SO HERE ARE SOME THINGS ABOUT THEM

Sans

- He is blind and wears heavy boots that help him navigate through vibrations

- 5'3 KING

- Tilts his head whenever he's processing new information

- Doesn't rest but has a little nest of blankets and pillows where he just...sits. thinking. listening maybe

- His jacket was ripped during the Fracture and the mismatched colors on it are from Papyrus patching it up!

Papyrus

- He's mute and uses animated/exaggerated gestures and signs to communicate

- 6'6 but with a slight stoop from having to carry monster children out of debri post-Fracture

- He knitted his scarf! It's a little torn up though since it's initial making but he insists on keeping it that way to "KEEP ITS BATTLE SCARS!"

- Has a dry humor streak which consists of NASTY eye-rolls and mocking gestures

- Has practiced juggling bones to keep himself entertained in the fallout of the Fracture

Underfracture's Frisk and Chara !

For Frisk, there aren't any major changes to their character. Though, it is important to note that they're more expressive now and optimistic as away to try and lighten up the grim mood.

Chara is more aligned to chaotic good in this AU and is quite mischievous and petty all things considered.

A rough estimate of their heights would be 5'5-5'6 so they're a lot taller than Sans but shorter than Papyrus.

Frisk takes on a more fixer role, offering to patch up torn and tethered clothes or seal up wounds. They're also very well-versed in first aid and medicine!

Also Chara's gloves have knives in them. Works very similarly to Wolverine's claws in how they retract and extend

Before I go on a tangent on the Rainbow Quest leaders, I'd like to yap about Underfracture a little more!!

In summary, Underfracture is an AU where the core reactor malfunctioned so hard it nearly broke the world had it not been for the people inside the lab to take most of the blast that combusted from it.

Sans and Papyrus were scientists when it happened, and with all the flashing lights and blaring sirens, it was hard to tell what was happening other than shit is hitting the fan. When the cataclysm occured, Papyrus was one of the few people- alongside Alphys- who realized something was wrong. He tried to warn the others in the lab but it was three seconds too late and BANG. HE FUCKING DIED.

Just kidding, Sans saved him! By yanking him away from the core using blue mode and ushering him to safety. Unfortunately, this save came with a cost as by the time the Fracture happened, the lab began to collapse in on itself and Sans got crushed by the debri. In front of Papyrus to boot!

Pap, upon witnessing the death, screamed.

And he screamed loud.

So loud in fact, his vocal cords(I guess??) were permanently damaged and rendered him mute. How does it work? Idk lets js roll with it for now. He was escorted by other scientists who weren't caught in the blast and was brought to safety but at the expense of becoming non-verbal and his brother's life.

After the Fracture occurred, nearly everything was in shambles. No part of the Underground was left unaffected by the event, with some areas suffering more than others.

Parts of the void leaked into the Underground in thin slits. Snowflakes frozen in place, footprints that never left the coat of white on the ground no matter how fresh it was.

The Waterfall's river was split in half. The reflections did not show you, but the version of you IF you were in blast radius of the Fracture. The echo flowers screamed instead of repeating the last sounds they were exposed to.

The Hotland grew hotter yet dimmer, with its lava no longer bubbling yet hot to the touch despite being frozen in place mid-eruption. Machinery stutter and spark wildly. Glass panels paused mid-shatter with shards that really fucking hurt if you touch them.

And lastly, the core. Ground Zero of the Fracture. The air is stale and tense, poisonous to those with lungs and claustrophobic to everyone else. Gravity is unreliable here. Scaffolding stretch in directions that shouldn't be possible, light is absorbed by splotches of darkness that shouldn't be there.

Monsters who had been affected by the blast(anyone who was close to the explosion) either died on impact or completely ceased to exist.

After the worst of the blast, Papyrus left the safehouse the scientists were told to stay in and beelined to where his brother was— or, where the remaining bits of him were. Undyne was sent to fetch him and returned with a trembling Papyrus and cradled in his arms were the pieces of Sans he managed to collect. After a lot of pleading with Asgore and a little help from Alphys, they managed to bring back Sans, yay! Unfortunately, Papyrus was missing a few parts and as a result, Sans' right side and a bit of his left side stayed unfixed which rendered him blind.

I can't guarantee I'll make this visually since I'm limited to Gacha Club but let me know if you're interested!!
