Due to some medical issues I've been poked and prodded a lot lately and I'm slowly but surely collecting a suspicious amount of needle marks on my left arm and now I'm feeling really self conscious cause most of the people I'm really close with are aware that I have a history of addiction and now I feel like if I don't explain myself my friends are gonna assume I have track marks

#ive never really done any hard drugs because of many many reasons #mostly i struggled with alcoholism and other little things that i dont even think really count like painkillers #so it might be a bit of a bit of an irrational fear #i guess im just feeling self conscious and judged because last weekend i bought a beer to share with our new roomate and one of my #close friends looked at me weird and said 'i dont think thats a good idea. you know how you get'#and i felt really judged #im not even a mean or bad drunk im generally pretty chill #unless i drink while im already triggered then i get kinda messy but only one person has seen that in person and it wasnt him #idk man #sometimes im pissed that i dont get to need a beer or just casually drink w friends without at least a slight concern that i might relapse #personal #tw alcohol #tw alcoholism #tw addiction #tw drug mention
