I was fast asleep when the tempo driver woke me up and dropped me at my destination and left. It was snowing and as the first gush of icy cold wind hit my face I shivered a little and put my backpack up looking around.It took me a while to come to my senses and realise I was deserted in the middle of nowhere and there was not a soul on the road. With a little fear, sketchy network and blinking battery I started walking down hoping to find the way to my homestay safely. I remembered the tempo driver had told me, "thoda chalna padhega". And that 2km walk that day seemed like a neverending stretch. Until I realised this walk could be through one of the most beautiful roads! Wasn't I here for this?! To get away from crowd, to get the feel of fresh snow on my face, to walk on roads that lead nowhere, to hear the mountains breathe(oh they do...
