He placed his book on the table and adjusted his glasses as he looked back at the young girl in front of him. Right away he could tell she was very nervous about where this conversation was going, but he didn’t stop her. What seemed odd to Jinwook was the fact that she couldn’t bring herself to hold eye contact with him; her own brother of all people.

She paused for a moment to take in the expression her brother wore and to her surprise he wasn’t upset. Jinwook smiles brightly at the thought of his younger sister having a crush at her age, granted she is an adult now by law but nonetheless that same brotherly instinct kicked in. In all honesty he really was happy for her; throughout her life love had been hard to come by and she never took things lightly with guys. For her to find someone she genuinely enjoyed made Jinwook happier than when he’d debuted with his friends.

“That’s wonderful! My baby sister finally having an actual crush.”

He chuckled as he ruffled her hair slightly causing her to pout since she didn’t quite like having her hair messed up. Deep down, the two of them knew what this meant; Jinwook is very protective of her and she can handle herself, eventually things will get tough.

“So who’s this crush of yours? Don’t tell me it’s Sungjoon.”

Then came a knock on the door causing Jinwook to frown slightly; unsure of who could possibly be at the house. He stood up and made his way to look through the peephole only to find it was none other than the co-leader. After unlocking the door, he opened it to reveal the tall man who wore a warm smile and carrying flowers in his hand.

“Kuhn, what a nice surprise!”

“It’s good to see you both. I know it’s our short break home but I wanted to stop by.”

“Of course, come in.”

Stepping aside to let his friend in, Jinwook observed the man as he made his way to where his sister sat. She smiled politely at the other before offering him a seat and getting into conversation. It was then that Jinwook realized how much his sister really had grown up over the years. She may be the same age as the two youngest in the group but she’s got a lot of maturity underneath that seemingly soft exterior.

“Did you tell him?”

“I told him I have a crush but I didn’t tell him it’s you.”

While they whispered to each other Jinwook made his way back to the table to take his seat. He saw how Kuhn and his sister reacted to each other and a small knot of worry formed in his stomach but more than that it was his protectiveness kicking in. It’s not that he has anything against his friend and co-leader, but anything that involves his little sister suddenly makes him worry and his nerves go into overdrive.

“Jinhoo, there’s a reason why I came over today. I wanted to say hi but it’s also because I have a bit of a secret I’ve been keeping from you.”

“Do tell.”

“I like your sister and... I know you’re very protective of her, which is why I came over to ask if you’d be alright with her and I dating.”

While Sooils words didn’t shock him in the slightest, him asking for permission to date his younger sister was. Most people don’t realize how much of a gentleman Sooil is since his presence is goofier and uplifting during their promotions as Up10tion. Never in his life would Jinhoo have guessed that this man would ask for permission from him for something.

“Jinhoo?”

“Can I be frank?”

“I wouldn’t want you to be any other way.”

“Kuhn, I had no idea that you two liked each other but honestly speaking I’m glad my little sister likes you over a few of the other guys. With that being said I’m still just not so sure.”

Jinhoo’s sister frowned deeply as she sat in silence; one that neither of the boys could ignore. While she understood why her older brother was so protective, it bothered her that he was still going to be that way even after her found out that it was his own bandmate that wanted to date her. Kuhn held her hand as they waited for Jinhoo to say something; really anything at this point because he was silent as well. He glanced at his younger sister, saw the look of disappointment in her eyes and knew that if he said no then he would forever be the bad guy in her eyes. That was the last thing that Jinhoo wanted from his little sister, but he couldn’t just say yes immediately.

“Kuhn, you really want to date my sister?”

“Yes, very much so.”

He watched Kuhn’s free hand place itself on top of his sisters in such a way that made Jinhoo wonder if he really should let this happen. On a certain level, it would bring some relief and happiness to him if Kuhn was dating his sister and on another, it would bring him great concern. He knows that the co-leader isn’t going to hurt her, if he did then he would be in much more trouble than most might believe. A small sigh escaped Jinhoo as he leaned back in his seat to look up at the ceiling for a moment.

“Will you treat her with respect?”

“Of course.”

“If she’s upset will you do everything in your power to make her smile again?”

“Yes.”

“If you find that one day you’re growing apart from her, will you tell her like an adult and not just run away?”

Right there was the winning question that Jinhoo needed to know before he would let Kuhn date the light of his life: his little sister. Throughout their lives the two relied on each other the most, during good times and bad they were there for each other. Jinhoo placed his sister before anything else because they only have each other and anyone who hurts her will pay a price.

“I swear on my life Jinhoo, if I ever feel that way I will not run away and I will not avoid either of you.”

Don’t Cry - Wooshin

Wooseok puts his hand on your shoulder noticing the tears welling in the corners of your eyes. He stutters out things that are almost words his eyes darting around the empty driveway.

“It’s alright,” he says softly finally managing to speak, “it’s okay, I’m okay, don’t cry,” he pleads, his voice sounding like a whine close to the end.

You wrap your arms around his middle pulling yourself against his chest, Wooseok lets out a soft sigh wrapping one of his arms around your back, his other hand holding the back of your head comfortingly.

“Don’t cry, everything’s alright,” Wooseok assures in a soft voice, resting his head on your own.

I am making this Kpop Oneshot Request book for you guys to request or suggest one/twoshots for me to write! I stan a LOT of groups, as you can probably tell, and most of them are boy groups. A/N: A oneshot that came to mind today and that I just finished

“It’s been awhile since we last met. How have you been?”

“Depends on how you view the world really, though what can be easily discerned is that my life has been rather dull without you.”

I’ve missed him for so long; he is my best friend who I can’t imagine being without, none of us can. We’ve all gone through so much together and we’ve come a long way from where we began our journey. While the end isn’t in sight yet we know that as long as all of us are together we can face anything. That is, until around ten months ago when he needed to step back for a bit and we continued in the best way we could.

“That sounds about right for us as well. Since you’ve been gone the empty space beside us has been hard to fill.”

“I’m sorry for that. I hope you know that I never wanted to leave you all in such a way.”

“You needed time to rest and none of us were going to stop you from doing so. Believe it or not but you’re a big part of this team, the company family, and for the fans.”

He looked down at the coffee mug that sat in front of him, watching the hot steam rise up in slow curls then disappear in the sunlight. For a moment I saw what looked to be sadness etch into his features, but soon vanished as if he never felt that way. I could tell he was going to make his role in this less important than it really is, but I couldn’t stop him from saying those words until he did.

“I have no doubt that on a certain level that your words are true and many people must have missed me. You know, there was a split second before I decided to come back where I asked myself ‘Am I really ready? Do I have the strength to make it?’”

“Wooseok, if you didn’t have the strength to come back I don’t think you’d be sitting with me right now in a coffee shop. I’d like to think you’d be at home with your family relaxing and gaining back your strength. Though I know that this path, of being an idol, isn’t something you can do alone.”

There it was again, the stoney expression that I knew was full of regret and heartache for leaving. It was best that he left to take care of himself though because none of us could have predicted what would come next if he had stayed with us. We all knew he was going downhill for some time when he brought up taking a break to us, we just didn’t know it had gotten so bad.

“You don’t have to do it alone. Why do you think we’re here?”

We turned our heads to the others who stood in the door way of the shop, wearing slight sad but welcoming smiles. Minsoo was the first to approach us as the rest push another table over to ours so we could all talk. While I watched Wooseok and Minsoo I couldn’t help but feel a wave of relief and great strength wash over me. After months of being together as nine, we realized that without Wooseok our happiness wasn’t the same. We need him in our lives because he is a friend, but he is family and we must do what we can to protect each other in any situation.

“I’m sorry I left for so long, it was never my intention.”

“You don’t need to apologize to me, or to any of us. We just wanted to see you happy again.”

We took our seats once more and let ourselves settle into the comfortable feeling of being whole: being ten members again. It’s that day that still makes me the happiest out of all of them and is why I write this short entry now. Years from this moment in time I want to remember the day that made me the happies, the day that made me smile the most, and I want them to remember as well.

So, to my members, my friends, my family, you are wonderful people and you have made my life so much better. The first day we met each other seems so long ago now, so let’s never forget that we’ll always be together no matter where we end up in the future. Up10tion for now and until the end.
