2024 has been a rollercoaster year. From being in a really low place at the start of the year struggling to make ends meet, things mostly only went up.

My partner was finally able to land a full time work position after applying for over two years due to his disability. He has been treated so well and is THRIVING, which is honestly fantastic.

We were able to go see the DnD squad in the States! Glad I was able to go for the full trip this time. The Casino arc was GLORIOUS!

We were finally in a position to start clearing debts that had accrewed since covid. With the tech replacements needed on top, was able to shift almost 4k of the 9k owed, which is a breath of fresh air, but we still have a lot of work to go.

There was losses, both familial and a friend. Still processing the latter, and I will be participating in an event in the new year to honour their memory.

To end the year, me and @facemeandperish got engaged. We had been discussing this for years at this point, but to do so on Friday 13th? Very on brand for us.

2025 is going to be rough. I'm not looking forward to it. Just take one day at a time, and don't be hard on yourselves. Try to look after yourselves as best you can.

((It's always difficult for me to distinguish a Wildcard's canon from their fanon since they're more times than not they're presented and written to be a blank slate for the player. But from the bits of dialogue I've gotten out of playing through FemC's route, along with seeing some English translations of her character in the manga, there is a good amount of material I can work with to see how she is viewed in the canon space.

The thing I actually really love about Persona main protagonists is the fact that they are supposed to be blank slates for the player to mold into a character. If you provide the bare bones and a skeleton outline of how or where they grew up, their present timeline, and plot relevance, that's enough for me! I like getting to insert my own takes and headcanons that way, make them a little different from what's seen in their canon material and make it my own flavor.

But one thing I can say with complete confidence: FemC is not just a female counterpart to the Male Protagonist. She's not some carbon copy, or blatant waifu material. She's a separate character. Watch her route, look at her dialogue options, see the difference between her and the male protag for yourself.))

((A lot of what I've seen from fanon interpretations of FemC can be summed up as "a violent gremlin with a voracious appetite who isn't afraid to flirt with literally anyone and anything". But I also see a lot of "this girl has so much trauma and depression inside her but masks it behind smiles and laughter".

Which...a lot of that I see to be true. She feels like a polar opposite of the male protag, where he is more reserved and gloomy FemC is happy-go-lucky and upbeat. I have incorporated that into her character, however I try not to let a lot of fanon take over my interpretation of her. It becomes too predictable, and she becomes just another typical rendition of how fandom sees FemC. I like putting my own spin on things, and I don't want her to fall into the fanon hole.

So for fanon? It's a yes and no for me depending on the material.))

Ok so basically I have 2 people

Not 2 But like ok this one guy(person a) sits in front of me and one girl beside me(person s) And another Person beside her(person v). Idk if yall have read or not but person s has said some shit to me before like when she kinda compared our trauma and said she went through worse and she's fine but then when i asked her again she said she didnt mean that.

In front Person a and s have said somethings which make me feel useless and all Cause like They volunteer for stuff and l And I dont and are core team members too

Ok so backgound we have this subject called service learning Where we were supposed to volunteer and shit And we had first chosen ngo or government schools but in between we had mun thing here And both my team members were busy Cause Core members (Person s and Person v)

I was busy cause I had 2 re exams back to back for 100 marks So I had to study And then the mid sem this week

I tried to call places and all And that wasn't possible due to some reason or another And when I came to class on friday I said hi to S She replied in a rude way I left it off cause morning and all. Her and A were talking About some poem competition And I had known about it But I asked in cause there was another one cause stuff keeps happening Person A said you would know if you checked the group and all And i got a bit mad Cause this wasn't the first time he has said some shit like this And then person S and I didn't talk the entire period I didn't say much either cause again class was going on And then when the class ended I asked her if something happened So that I don't start overthinking She said And I quote "Me and person V were busy and you didn't do shit and now we are fucked" I said I did try to help Cause I genuinely did and then she said shut the fuck up And left off And we didn't speak the entire day

So yea

And then the next day(saturday) we come to class and I don't say anything to her And then she said I don't hate you I was just very angry at the moment blah blah and I said you were angry but it still hurt my feelings and stuff and then she said she won't apologise and we didn't speak the rest of the day

{: I've broken my pinkie before when I was little ( like 5-6 ) playing catch the saddle at horse camp...and if you have ever been around horses or rode one before, then you know how heavy saddles can be especially the western ones with horns.

I fuckin hate english saddles....no offense I just like the western ones, they're big, pretty, cool, and they have the horn to hold on which gives me added security.

I used to have a horse, she was an Arabian and her name was Kara. She died towards the beginning of 2020 at the age of 29 but she was a good girl, I rode her to school, my mom rode her to work and to go shopping or went to drive throughs with her. ( all in Florida ). She used to be a champion hunter jumper, but she got an injury and her owners saw her as useless because she couldn't perform anymore. So they wanted to get rid of her and told me if I could ride her to my farm that I could keep her, so I did and that's how I got Kara.

If I had another horse I would get a Gypse Vanner or a Friesian. But that's once I get land and stuff, I know my mom would get another Arabian.

What’s the lie your character says most often?

That they don't care. Taash cares so much about everything even the insignificant things that any time they answer that they don't care its usually a lie. The times it isn't its usually obvious and is about something minor like what they want to eat or where they want to go for a walk. But thoughts? Opinions? Someone being injured? They will wave around how little they care only to be having the worst regulated emotional storm inside that they work out to relieve.

7. What would you (mun) yell in the middle of a crowd to find them? What would their best friend and/or romantic partner yell?

I think this says a lot about me but i actually sign, as in sign language, to locate my friends in crowds which Taash would be very poorly receptive to. That being said for Taash I'd probably yell "Fucker!" as I do HC Taash has great hearing and can identify voices really well.

To get their attention as a best friend you could just keep mumbling their name until you summon them or whistle or just do a goofy "TAAAAASH WHERE ARE YOUUUU"

as a romantic partner I think the easiest way would be to mimic how they click their tongue/growl. That'd call em reaaaaallll fast. OR, because smells, get any bit panicked and they are there immediately.

Basically just be annoying and it'll get them to your ass ASAP or get worried.

17. What do they notice first in the mirror versus what most people first notice looking at them?

What they notice first is usually all the bits their mother picks at. Their piercings, their feminine features mostly centered on their face, how neat their under cut is, how their ropes are sitting, etc.

Alot of people firstly notice their height and then their body. How fit they are in combination with their manner of dress. Qunari all tall so the first things noticed are always the height and the horns imo. Taash is a fucking mountain and that in your face is...a sight to behold.

25.What subject / topic do they know a lot about that’s completely useless to the direct plot?

How to identify different metals and gems. I could see that very loosely being relevant to the plot but meh. as a member of the lords, and a notable one at that, Taash certainly can identify a variety of treasure with a simple look. There's also a bunch of qunari scholarly stuff that is a by product of their upbringing, old stories and texts, how to preserve books and scrolls, restoring these types of items etc. Taash would be absolutely killer at scrap booking or working in art restoration.

50. What belief / moral / personality trait do they stand by that you (mun) personally don’t agree with?

Oh boy this is hard because there is actually A LOT I agree with and stand by that Taash does. There's the big difference that I'm a pacifist and they aren't but that seems like a cop-out because most characters are not pacifists!

It is also very hard because a lot of the 'issues' I see in Taash I see in myself. Their just rushing in head first behavior I don't agree with because I'm a planner. From doing a quest to their romance they rushed head first in and had to deal with the consequences after. I did think that was neat because it showed Taash's growth in a messy way that really pushed the message that no one grows at the same rate and growth isn't just a "do this do that do this in this order." Outside of narratives and things I just really dislike people who just...do shit without thinking so I'll say that and call it a day lol.

Also I LOVE the entire everything of the mourn watch so there's that. Big death nerd.

7. What would you (mun) yell in the middle of a crowd to find them? What would their best friend and/or romantic partner yell?

I and anyone who knew Philip would all say the same thing - "I need someone to explain [how this combat drone works/mass effect theory/the difference between these omnitool makes/etc]". And Philip would excitedly come barreling over to join the discussion.

Philip is very much one of my nerd boys. XD

17. What do they notice first in the mirror versus what most people first notice looking at them?

Most people meeting Philip notice his smile first. Compared to the legend of "Commander Shepard", he's a lot more cheerful and friendly and personable than most people expect when they meet him, and he sets people at ease.

For his own part, though, when he looks in the mirror, I think he mostly just notices how tired he looks - especially getting on into ME3 and the war. :(

25. What subject / topic do they know a lot about that’s completely useless to the direct plot?

XD Soooooo many things. Mostly tech stuff, as mentioned above; he gets very excited about basically anything technological. He would take (and probably has taken) apart a microwave just to look at its insides.

He's also, of my three Sheps, the one by far who is most into the model shipbuilding and can definitely talk about that very knowledgeably like those hardcore LEGO fans. XD

The new storylines were EPIC and I just wanted to know how are Swears and Friend doing? Is Swears ok? I was SO shocked when he got shattered while in TIO… I didn’t even comprehend that that was possible… maybe something was wrong with the tree? As in, like how the tree’s triangles gave TIO their power? That’d explain why it looked so weird afterwards. But yeah. Please send them a hug. AAH HI!! i literally woke up today thinking about jsab (and ja&b especially) and im really excited to see this ask because despite how long its been i still love talking abt it

Swears is okay! they've still got a crack from being shattered, but that's about the worst of it and they're proud of it because "haha yeah that sucked but i SURVIVED >:D"! the original plan wasnt for Sovereign (powered-up Sovi) to be able to full-on shatter TIO: instead they would've forcibly depowered them and everyone would've had to split up again to find another way. except when i started drawing the panels i changed the plan on the fly and had to run with the consequences

the reason Sovereign was able to shatter TIO in the first place was a mix of "Sovi is using the entire treeangle to power themself" and "Swears stole a fraction of their power". so, enough to transform, but not the same as having two triangle pieces making them completely invincible against Annihilate's single piece.

Friend's happy to have Swears back and as themself again, although they've still got some stuff to work through - something that came up a couple of times and that i wanted to focus more on sometime as part of Friend's storyline was how they were more prone to temporary shattering (and got completely knocked out of the fight against Annihilate) and how they felt useless compared to Swears as a result. when Swears seemingly got perma-shattered again, Friend tried to take up their mantle as the reckless afraid-of-nothing one.. except that also fell flat.

the plan was for this to eventually pay off with Friend helping Cube's sister Anvil (who'd gotten teased a couple times) against the next big threat and holding their own without Swears's help! and Swears would've realized how they contributed to Friend's insecurity (eg the argument they had in Clash that caused Awoo to get dunked) and do the whole "you don't need to prove yourself to me, i already know you're awesome" thing and try to be more outwardly supportive

me and my co-muns had a LOT of plans for how justasksandbeats was gonna go, but constant tech issues + burnout + life issues + general strife with the fandom combined into me not being able to do it anymore. if the other muns are okay with it though i can probably scrape together a recap of what was gonna happen! or at least the broad strokes of it, i tried to keep things loose to account for anon intervention or my own tendency to write on the fly :p

thank you so much for enjoying it!! despite the difficulties (dear god, the difficulties.. my poor tablet and computer...) ja&b was a lot of fun to make and it means a lot to me whenever people bring it up. glad to hear people are still discovering it even today!!

Road Trip - AU of Sterling on the Witches' Road

So @billyktothemax and I have a random AU where Sterling got caught on The Witches Road with the cast of Agatha All Along and, for funsies, I rewatched the series and wrote Sterling into several scenes to see how that AU would play out, with Billy-mun's help. So here are some major points we came up with for your reading pleasure or just for my archives.

Billy-mun's notes are indented and only included (with their permission) to serve as valid points.

So in this AU Sterling had a strange encounter with Billy that made him believe he should follow him for a bit to both make sure he's ok and to see if there is something going on SHIELD should know about.

Sterling tailing Billy and getting a call from SHIELD HQ about activity in Westview again and Sterling is like "I know. I'm in Westview..." as the Salem seven show up and the weather goes crazy. They order him to leave but he knows Billy and other civilians are in the house so he goes in, guns blazing, and doesn't find anyone. He finds a glowing door.

ENTERING THE ROAD

He likely approaches them from behind, confused and thrown by suddenly finding a forest under the house and the witches are like Hold up, who is that? So Billy has to explain in loud teenage groans who he is.

I can see them all scoffing and giving him looks when he pulls out a gun like wtf you think you're gonna do with that? It's the witches road not the Rambo road gtfo of here.

"It's all I've got. I'm powerless here." "We all are." "Yeah, but you at least know what you're doing! This is not exactly my department!"

"Can we just leave him here? He's throwing off the whole vibe."

Sterling in the road with them as the straight man character who has no idea what's going on. Just the non witch Sharon of the group. Trying to get a grip on the situations because trained SHIELD agent and the witches are like "Aww, it's cute how he thinks he has any control over any of this" and he just barely survives each trial by the skin of his teeth.

It's a group of powerful, strong, beautiful, sarcastic women and one useless man with a hero complex. They're gonna tease him. With Sterling there I think he would be treated less than teen, and they called him pet and familiar and treated him as less than the witches in the beginning. He's not a witch. They probably try to ignore him or just shoot him sarcastic comments for most of the road.

They'd probably get real sick of Sterling's protective shit real fast because it's very much lawful good chivalrous righteous stuff. Like he would always try to make sure everyone else left a room first and he'd always try to shield everyone. I can see comments about savior complexes and big strong man trying to protect the ladies when it's clear they are far more powerful and protected than he is. 😂 He cannot help it. It's his job and it's so engrained in him to protect people. So he'd be stunned if Lilia managed to go last and shut him out.

But Sterling is still sworn to protect civilians and while he doesn't know the others he at least has to keep Billy safe. No matter what happened between them. He's their protector non-witch.

As for his shoes, I assume that Agatha's inputs about the road are influencing Billy's perception of it and therefore changing the rules of the road unconsciously as they go. So as Agatha took off her shoes and everyone followed suit he probably perceived it as a rule and something bad might happen if they don't. So I assume he followed Agatha's lead like they all did.

When Sharon steps off the path and starts getting sucked in I can see that as the first moment Sterling and Alice bond as the only two who jump in to save her, marking them both as the overly protective ones who will get their hands dirty to keep the group safe. He'll probably put his suit jacket over Sharon for comfort despite the mud she's now covered in.

TRIAL 1

"the road changes for the coven." "It changed us too." "It's giving middle-aged second chance at love vibes and I'm here for it." Adding in -- "And surprise surprise. G-man here didn't change at all." "Very funny."

I'm totally gonna say sterling's instinct is the riddle means Loki but he doesn't voice it because he knows that's not the answer. He just thought of Loki with the "my tricks are well known" and the rest of it happened to fit too.

witch, loki, wine, are these things truly different from each other?

We decided they would make Sterling drink the wine too, despite not being a witch. He'd have his reservations, of course assuming there was a trick or poison or something. In fact, he's a little confused as to why no one else considers this or why they are surprised when it's revealed it is.

While Billy and Jen have their aside about Agatha trading her son for the book Sterling is watching them but gets distracted when they pour him a glass. He's like wait what? No. I'm not part of this. There aren't even enough glasses for him. Then he realizes one glass would be for Billy and he reconsiders. He's underaged. Plus it might be poisoned. Now, the trial actually does provide them 5 glasses, excluding Billy. So if Sterling is there and there is a 6th glass he's meant to drink and he will so. 👍🏻

They can assume it doesn't go by witch because there's one for Sharon so it might be for the adults. Sterling has to drink.

Billy's asking if he can have some instead of Sterling cause 'he knows how to drink wine'... Sharon probably bopped him on the head

Sterling also has a protection tattoo. It was standard for agents to get them back in 2012 in our rp verse to get the anti possession tattoos from Supernatural because we had some supernatural rpers in SHIELD. So he too would have a tattoo that protects him from evil like Alice.

When Jen announced they've been poisoned Sterling just sighs like "yeah, I saw that coming. How long we got?" Because magic shit never goes well for him.

As soon as Jen mentions hallucinations as a side effect Sterling becomes visibly uncomfortable because he suffers from those already. Mostly auditory. So he's not excited about this but he is well versed in dealing with them.

Sterling stays with Jen because no one stays with her so he helps her locate what she needs and puts things together. Because he has no idea what any of these ingredients are.

When Jen runs the water in the sink it could start Sterling's hallucination before her starts, explaining why he didn't help her. Sterling is triggered by the sound of running water. He was waterboarded for days about a decade ago so that staticy sound could jumpstart it.

Jen doesn't even notice... She just goes to get the mustard seed and comes back to her hallucination. The sound of Jen being drowned in the background of his feeds into it as well...They both have a weird water themed trial in the same room.

And the fact that the trial ends in water rushing in will be... Bad. He's mostly gotten over it with therapy but he will visibly be shaken by the fear of it. The only time he might actually look totally afraid through the whole road. Next to when Billy is hurt.

When Alice yells for help with Sharon, sterling will hesitate because of the water sound. He's trying to ground himself, but he ends up swallowing it all, waving Agatha off, and helping Alice with her. He actually will go before Alice into the oven though because he's afraid if he goes last he will be overwhelmed by the sound of the water and not make it in time...He's gonna trust this woman who has been protecting them carefully with him the whole time, then thank her after he gets his wits.

They bury Sharon in his jacket. He wouldn't dare take it back off of her.

Billy and Alice seem to start and stop digging randomly to add in dialogue and such. Sterling is just back there digging consistently because he still has no idea what's happening and doesn't really have anything to contribute. Plus, no one wants him there. He doesn't know the ballad so he has no idea what the rules are. He just listens quietly and takes in all he can from their discussions. Gathering Intel is part of his job so he's sticking to what he knows and letting them do what they do. He's also proud of Billy for being so hard on them for not saving Sharon and that they should be looking out for each other. He might add a comment when Jen says Alice should have been protecting Sharon as the protection witch and yells "What was she supposed to protect her from? She was poisoned!" But they ignore him because he isn't part of this. Lol

It would be funny if when Rio popped out she looked at Sterling and was like "You look familiar." But doesn't ever elaborate. He's almost died a few times and if the blip counts as death...

"Can we trust her?" "We don't know anything about her." "We know Agatha hates her... That puts her in the pro column." Adding Sterling like "She's enjoying herself way too much for my liking."

TRIAL 2

When Alice refuses to go into the second trial and the others walk forward without her, Sterling puts a gentle hand on her arm, nods in encouragement, and walks with her.

Sterling ending up in this outfit for the second trial. Sterling groans and laments his suit change and Jen like "The road got jokes."

Jen walking up to the masks. Sterling is also drawn to them. As Jen looks he points out that they look like Hannya masks. Then goes on when she says nothing that they were Japanese masks of female demons. Dark red indicating that it's a very angry and vengeful demon. And then he shrugs and says his father in law is Japanese.

He's just eager to be helpful and knowledgeable but I can see her being like ew stop mansplaining to me with just a look. Lol

Sterling's wife also very suspiciously has burns on her back...

Rio: *sitting on the couch reading a newspaper* "that's the curse." Sterling: "... Are you KIDDING me right now?" Jen: "and we thought Suits was useless." Sterling: "thanks for that."

Sterling grabs sheet music for the ballad and tries to sing backup for Agatha to feel useful.

Lilia: "Well what do you know. Zils." Sterling: "What am I supposed to play? The triangle?" Lilia: "They have those." Sterling: "For fucks sake." But he reaches for them anyway.

He's pretty useless for this trial. He can't play any instruments, he doesn't know the words to the ballad or even the tune, so he probably fakes it as best he can with sheet music and when the demon is made visible he tries his best to knock it away with whatever he can find. When it lands on Alice and it's clear she has to face this curse to break it, he goes back to singing as best he can.

When Billy is hurt Sterling helps them carry him out and starts applying pressure while they try to figure out how to heal him. When Alice tries to take over he just yells "I know what I'm doing!" But calms down and adds calmly "It's ok. I've got him. Help Jennifer." Because he's had to do this a LOT.

Sterling sitting with the ladies around the fire, listening to their stories but stealing glances at Agatha and Billy to make sure she isn't doing anything to him. I was tailing [SIGIL] when all this went down. Making sure he was staying out of trouble." Looks around "I did -not- do a very good job." Group laughs.

After Agatha leaves Billy to join the group Sterling excuses himself and takes her place leading to this thread.

Also, Rio has a knife but it doesn't seem serrated. And they made Billy a lean-to structure to lay under. How did they cut the wood? 😂 Who brought an axe? In Sterling's case, he actually keeps a hacksaw blade in the inner lining of his wedding ring. Sounds weird but he's been bound enough times to need a way to escape ropes...

He's not gonna wanna leave the group when they ask Agatha her battle scars. He will hesitate. Because gathering Intel on Agatha Harkness for SHIELD would be big. But he needs to know Billy is ok.

Billy suggesting a hexenbesen, everyone scrambling for branches, and Sterling is like "So the broom thing is true? What? I speak German."

"We fly together or not at all." "Ok, but who gets the walking 3 piece?" "No way. If I feel his pencil pushing I'm shoving him off."

I think in the scramble to escape the Salem Seven Alice would be the most likely to just grab him and pull him on. He wouldn't have time to really choose and I don't see anyone else volunteering unless they had some ulterior motive. Sterling not knowing where to put his hands and awkwardly trying to grip the broom rather than Alice but being terrified of falling so he clings to her shoulders while she smirks and rolls her eyes.

Right after yeeting a witch off of Billy. Like, Alice was very underappreciated in that group most of the time. lol

TRIAL 3

Ok Sterling showing up at the slumber party trial in like striped blue and white pajamas looking like a damn banana in pajamas or in a robe. And everyone is like "... There's clothes on under that, right?" And he's like "honestly? At this point I'm afraid to look."

After impersonating Sharon Agatha: I thought that was pretty good. Sterling: a woman has DIED. 😠

On the bright side, he's got Billy on his side with that scolding

I'm wondering what sterling would do during Agatha's possessed crawling around thing. Everyone else is freaking out but while the supernatural isn't Sterling's department he's dealt with possessed people and creatures like that so I feel like he'd be quicker to react. Maybe he goes to pull Agatha off Jen when she's choking her but gets knocked back so Alice rushes in to take over trying to pull her off. I feel like Alice got some witchy bonuses to her strength. I'm not gonna lie. 😂

Sterling in the background of Evanora's scene just casually looking for salt.

Jen at some point: "We're not Winchesters, find something to tie her up with." Sterling: "I know the Winchesters. Rope wont work on a ghost."

Agatha starts to steal Alice's power. Sterling yells "What's happening?" When he sees Alice start to raisin he's like oh shit and looks around for a weapon. Probably demands Rio's knife but she refuses. I imagine if he attacked with something he might get knocked back by power because I can't take away from Billy and Nicky's moment. The point is Sterling is visibly trying to stop it. So I'm gonna go with he attacks with a chair and gets blasted back for the second time that trial and stays down til the end of it.

Sterling stands behind William as the others pass him by and he has a moment with Agatha. When Agatha calls him pet and he's visibly getting upset Sterling timidly says "William?" And the sparks start in his fingers. That actually scares him because he's been attacked by electricity welding enhanced individuals and almost killed by electricity several times. Then he throws off Lilia and Jen. Sterling runs to help but he's way too late and watches them disappear into the mud. Turns to Billy "What did you do??"

Sterling is alone on a road not meant for him with the son of the scarlet witch. 😂

Sterling. I'm sorry. But you need to give the son of the scarlet witch a pep talk and a hug, he's having a day.

Honestly? After they both calm down a bit he will. 😂 Sterling is a father and a mentor figure. He will adopt this boy if he has to.

Alright, but Billy and Agatha need that long talk alone. Agatha got a bit of power from Alice. Maybe Sterling tries to interject and get between them and Agatha, who has always sort of ignored Sterling because he's beneath her and an annoyance, maybe uses her magic to somehow mute or immobilize him. And Billy wants this moment with her too so he doesn't stop her as long as he sees Sterling is alive and unharmed?

Even after his display of power sterling would totally step in front of Agatha if she advanced on Billy. Especially in the state he's in.

If Billy asked or looked at Sterling after Agatha said she saw Wanda's body he would shake his head and if allowed to talk he would say he never saw one and as far as he knows, SHIELD believes her to be dead. He's seen no reports to suggest otherwise.

TRIAL 4

I'm going to say since Sterling isn't a witch the road wouldn't dress him as a witch, but maybe a witch adjacent? So I'm going with Wirt from Over the Garden Wall. He's a boy lost on a road trying to find his way home and he deals with the supernatural and deals with a few witches along the way.

Sterling looks mildly uncomfortable at the presence of tarot cards. Stopping Billy as he starts reading Agatha's cards like "Wait. Isn't she supposed to cut the cards if you're reading for her?" And then is super vague as to how he knows that.

He's been doing an investigation for about two years of a Hydra agent who carves tarot cards into the backs of his victims. So he's been doing surface level research on tarot.

I wonder what advice Lilia would give for sterling before he went into the iron maiden. Lol

"How did they even meet?" "Over corpses I imagine" "More proof that Agatha has feelings." Sterling: what? Jen: "that was your takeaway? I do not understand your loyalty to her." Billy: "it's not loyalty. It's analysis." Sterling: "I'm an analyst and I don't see it." Jen: "well look at that. G-man and I agree on something."

Agatha: "I have to be honest. I'm surprised you survived this long, kale. My money was on Lilia. And that one? Jeez, thought the road would have spit him out at trial one."

Agatha: "then how do we get OFF?" Sterling: "Shouldn't you know?"

FINAL TRIAL

In the last trial Sterling's personal effects bag has a blue origami crane he always keeps in his wallet.

Shortly after Jen vanishes and Agatha tells him the road gave her what she wanted so she's free, she tells Billy she needs power and he can juice her. Sterling objects as Billy does. Then she tells him to sit down and she's going to help him find his brother. Sterling objects again but Agatha looks at him and it startled him that it might have been the first time she ever really looked at him this entire time. She tells him to trust her with him. He stares at her for a moment before nodding. He then vanishes. Because all he wanted this whole time was to know Billy was safe. The road gave him what he wanted, reassurance that Agatha would protect him and he would be safe, and he was sent back. He was his charge. The reason he entered the road. No longer being Billy's protector freed him. Because I need Billy and Agatha to have this last trial alone so him being gone would do that. Then he climbs out of the ground, sighs heavily at the Westview sign... And trudges back down the street to get back to his car in front of Agatha's house. 😂

The neighbor's outside like "is it happening again?" And a breathless Sterling comes jogging by covered in dirt with no suit jacket waving them off like "Go back inside!"

And he spends the fight off screen calling it into SHIELD and keeping civilians back.

And calling his wife...

He... Won't report that to HQ. He will report that Agatha seems to be dead but not Billy's involvement. Just yet.

He needs to get his head around what the hell just happened to him first. Maybe talk to Billy after.

As Billy leaves Sterling probably calls out to him but it's one of those muffled sound, all music, scenes so it's probably muted because he's processing trauma and not really hearing anything. But Sterling doesn't want to give away who he actually is just in case in front or civilians so he'd probably be yelling "Teen! Are you alright?!" But Billy just isn't hearing him and he just gets in his car and drives away.

Everything? Ok, hmm, there's so much I like about him, but I think one thing I really like with him is that I get to be "useless". I get to rp being weak, pathetic and good-for-nothing and none of my other muses have ever been like that. Huaisang isn't really like that, but he also is, if you get what I mean and he doesn't mind it either. I love how he's like "yes, I'm not a fighter or cultivator, so what?" He could actually be a good cultivator and a good fighter if he wanted to, but he doesn't and that's one of my favourite things with him. He could be what his society prefers, but he says "fuck that" because he doesn't like those things, even if his society does, so he's not going to do it.

In other words, my favourite things with Huaisang is that he could do what is preferred, but he doesn't because he lacks interest in that and rather do the stuff he wants.
