how john and paul referred to their music as "their children" - last night i was watching some old interviews on youtube and john referred to eleanor rigby as "paul's baby but i provided the education"
like the way they cleverly rigged the legal system into marrying them as Lennon/McCartney via business & the way they referred to their music as their children (and the breakup of their legal musical partnership as a literal Divorce) ~~
it's just so big 1960s vindictive queer galaxy brain and deserves an award

they weren't meant for this purpose exactly, but i do have countless "fluffy sticks" loose in my notes and homework sheets from the school years.
papery critter.
even when i wasn't confident in fur or feathers, they helped me practice posing and create some satisfying gradients/flowing poses.

no change in the movies pisses me off more than them having peeta just scream "ur all gonna die!!!1!1" at the camera with the hard cut to haymitch going "that was a warning (empath)" when in the book it was peeta struggling to even get the warning out and literally everyone in 13 expect haymitch and katniss going "wtf did he mean by that he can't be trusted" to which haymitch had to desperately plead with coin to listen to the warning, because that's obviously what is was, and none of them know peeta except for him and katniss
Like as unintentionally funny as the scene in the movie is it wasn't even a moment in the books that makes haymitch seem all that clever, like they try to spin in it the movie, it was just him knowing and trusting peeta. It was a testiment to his love for the kid, not anything else ughhfhfjkdkdkf

My boss is like, heavily encouraging (encouraging- not pressuring ^^) me to go for this grant (7000 dollars so long as I go for a diploma cert) cuz she apparently thinks I'm capable and smart?? A hardworker?? No one has ever thought I was smart (sweet, generous, creative are all things people have called me a lot but no adult in my life has ever called me smart)!! I dunno if she's just being nice or what but it's good to hear 😅 XD

It was a strange sound. Wood against wood, a subtle tapping whose rhythm felt unnatural but ( at this point ) wholly familiar. To others it might seem a nuisance, but Sanji had learned to find a great deal of comfort in knowing that Bambo and her beloved puppet were hard at work, perfecting their act.
"You've been at it since this morning, Bambo-chan. Don't you think you should rest and have some lunch?"

"you're not funny" from laura
@retrograderesemblance
Ben held a hand over his chest, feigning innocence as he blinked up at Laura's peevish scowl. With a grin, he finally relented, "I think I'm a little funny... You said so yourself that you were sick of Larry in accounting, so I obliged. Is this any way to show your gratitude?"
In Laura's hand, she held the fated jar from the fridge -- the one he'd used for what he believed to be a very clever prank -- before he turned back to his laptop with a snort. "I couldn't very well put your keys in Jell-O again. I have matured as an 'ar-teest.'"
In truth, Ben wasn't usually the type to disrupt the workplace, but Laura had been unbearable as of late -- the stress of their latest case had her constantly on edge -- and if he'd been able to deviate some of that tension? Well...he wasn't expecting a medal or anything, but a "thank you" would suffice.
"I need your surveillance findings on the Whitman case," he said, not bothering to look up. "Are you going to keep standing around holding that fake head, or will you stop horsing around and join me?"
All right. So perhaps he was baiting her just a little.
