Thor's been back in New Asgard for a short spell now as the winter closes in. It serves twofold purpose: not only does he get to lend his assistance to his people and reconnect, but the stability offers Kjæra some quality time with youngsters her own age. He suspects, this year, that they will linger until the spring.

He has only just finished work for the day on some repairs at the docks when he finds himself offered a thermos and, smiling, takes it gratefully. "Your majesty," he greets with a bob of the head as much deferential as it is in good humour.

Deft hands open the thermos and, turning his gaze briefly to the sea, Thor takes a long sip. The hot, rich liquid blooms a comforting warmth in his chest and, energised, his smile returns. "Thank you. To what do I owe such a visit? I thought you still had work of your own for a few hours yet."

Random headcanon question! For your ThunderFitness verse, what sort of exercises does he do or music does he listen to in order to get pumped for a boxing match? Does he had rituals or a system he follows? What does he do to cool down from a match?

before matches he might do simple exercises to get ready but nothing that will take any energy away from him . sit ups or pushups to get going. his music tastes range but right before a match its pretty much hard rock or heavy metal. something like VOLBEAT that just screams battle music .

he does have rituals that he does before EVERY match. he starts out with the same meal before each match. something light . he prays in a quiet room , his chin tilted with his dog tags gripped in his fist. music is also part of his pre fight ritual . during that meal it’ll start out as battle music but then transition to something soft so he can FOCUS . 

after the fights , he’s definitely all about taking care of himself. its all about ice, meds, hydration , and rest . baths and lounging. he’s also had to maintain weight for the weigh so he’s probably just eating whatever he wants .

I know you are mutuals only blog so I’m sorry if I shouldn’t have sent this, but I just wanted you to know that it meant a lot to see your offering to help people tonight. It’s been a rough one. Getting through this with people just as devastated and upset is truly healing and helpful 💜

mutuals or not. it doesn’t matter when it comes to wanting to help others. my offer literally extends to ANYONE who may need it.  i’ll be here for anyone anytime of day should they need. offering help doesn’t just limit to mutuals only. we’re all human and we all have feelings so you’re completely valid in sending this. i appreciate this very much and i hope all that are affected by this find the peace and comfort that they need during this difficult time.

           peter didn’t have a specific favorite.  they didn’t have a console in the house since it was too expensive.  but, he did visit the arcade every chance he got.  sometimes his mother drove him and sometimes he walked after classes.  

          by the time he’d been abducted at eight years old the idea of video games was cathartic.  he didn’t have a dad. his mother had been sick.  being able to escape into different worlds was a pass time he had a hard time refusing.

          of the games out at the time he gravitated towards tron.  just like playing video games, tron provided an incredibly imaginary world that he wanted to engross himself in.  disney tie ins helped with the fantasy.  he also played a lot of zaxxon ( sci-fi shooter ) and robotron: 2084 ( another sci-fi shooter ).  the later would be mildly amusing once he got on yondu’s ship and realized he wasn’t dreaming.  his interest in science fiction based media was due to his father ( unlike most other likes which is guided by what his mother enjoyed ).  even if the guy didn’t want to be around, peter always figured his mother wouldn’t lie when she said his father was from the stars.  why would she lie?

The distracted hum on his lips at once hits a cease when Valkyrie speaks, jerking Thor back to the moment with a blink and apology in their native tongue. There’s been much on his mind of late – far too much – and though the braiding helps to ground him in the present he realises he hasn’t been paying enough attention.

“It seems I’ve become rather restless of late, my apologies.” A roll of broad shoulders and Thor sets himself still, planted like a solid oak, and closes his eyes once again. Conversation, he knows, is something far better for the soul than introspection.

He’s also aware, deeply, that he cannot be the only one with too many thoughts coursing through their mind. It’s as good an opportunity as any for some shared vulnerability. “I’ve been as stoic as the royal family was expected to be for years and still that was far from perfect: I cannot imagine how the Valkyrie managed.”
