What a great shot! Vaccination selfies become the latest social media hit

The latest social media development involves no ice buckets, no filters and no sea shanties. Now famous people and politicians around the world are usually vying to post the best “vaxxies” – selfies of the instant they receive their Covid-19 vaccination.

While vaxxies send out a powerful message that the vaccines secure, they are also an undeniable picture opportunity. The image of Ancient greek prime minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis being vaccinated with his clothing off went viral a week ago. With its unreconstructed masculinity, a few compared it to pictures of a bare-chested Vladimir Putin bare chested out searching. Mitsotakis became something of the Twitter heartthrob as a result, along with one user writing “Greek excellent minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis carrying out whatever it takes to sell his individuals on the #COVID19 vaccine. ” Others fretted about the prospect of Boris Johnson, who might have their vaccine live on TV, doing it same.

The shirt-off vaxxie development continued with MP Brendan Clarke, who received the particular jab because of his you are not selected work at Retford hospital, publishing one to Facebook. Other notables have been a little more clothed. Expenses Gates posted an image of himself on Tweets, wearing that great leveller, the polo shirt. Floella Benjamin, meanwhile, used a good picture of herself keeping the vial of shot.

Celebrities – most of a particular age – have published vaxxies too. Names consist of Ian McKellen, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Joan Collins. Schwarzenegger submitted a video in which he encouraged viewers to get vaccinated – “come with me if you need to live, ” he mentioned, reprising a line in the Terminator films. Collins has been keen to point out that the lady was vaccinated on the same time as the Queen. While the Structure has yet to show a vaxxie, protocol – which traditionally refrains through commenting on the Windsors’ wellness appointments – has been damaged with a statement earlier this particular month confirming that the Princess or queen and Prince Philip acquired had their vaccines.

For political figures there is a serious message at the rear of the social media trend – it’s a way to encourage other people to get vaccinated. Other significant statesmen and women possess posted their vaxxie upon social media, including Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in america. Biden, 78, posted his vaxxie in December using the caption “to the United states people – know that can compare with to worry about. When the vaccine can be obtained, I urge you to carry it. ” Ocasio-Cortez filmed the girl vaccination, broadcasting it upon Instagram Live and wondering followers to send in queries. “Just like wearing a face mask, I’d never advise you to try and do something I wasn’t prepared to do myself, ” the girl wrote.

It’s not a completely new development. Elvis Presley was photographed getting the polio vaccine backstage upon The Male impotence Sullivan Show in 1956.

Thinking about Vax'ildan as a dad once again.... 🥺🫠😭

He'd be so gentle and caring, getting down on their level and listening to what they say...

He would teach them how to braid hair, braiding their hair, making daisy chains with them, making cute little friendship bracelets with them...

He'd teach them how to paint and how to draw...

He'd teach them how to cook and how to bake...

He probably plays tag with them, hide & seek, catch and similar games to those...

He would love carrying his baby everywhere as he talks to them and kisses all over their face, he'd hug and tickle them...

He'd make/fix/tailor their clothes for them, he'd help do their makeup, he'd cut their hair and help them style it...

I head canon Vax as being dyscalculiac and dyslexic, so he'd struggle to help with maths or language/literature homework, but he'd try...

I also headcanon Vax as trans, so pregnant Vax getting excited about his baby and trying to get everyone to feel his bump when baby kicks...

Vax and Vex'ahlia sharing parenting tips and stories, taking care of each other when the other is pregnant...

And I headcanon Vax as someone who loves wood working, so he'd build his own furniture, make his own toys for the kids, build his own house, make gifts for people...

Just... Vax'ildan as a dad...

Writing Update!

Okay, so still struggling to write anything but making progress.

For the past 2 weeks, I have worked on the following stories;

Soul Drunk - requested (only request I'm doing!) - An alternative ending to episode 9 of The Legend of Vox Machina season 3, where Vax faces the consequences of his deal with the Matron when he's overwhelmed by the souls of the dead after killing the dragon who killed his mother when he was young.

Separation Burns - An alternative universe where Vex'ahlia and Vax'ildan didn't find each other again when Vex abandoned Vax after they ran away from Syngorn, as seen in flashbacks from episode 3 of The Legend of Vox Machina season 2, and Vax falls into the hands of Byron Anders and, in time, the Briarwoods while Vex finds herself in New Byroden.

The Cost Of One Soul - An alternative ending to episode 12 of The Legend of Vox Machina season 3, where Vax pays the ultimate price to save Percy from Orthax and unintentionally gives the demon his soul instead.

Growing Pains - In an alternative universe where the Chroma Conclave don't attack until later on, Vox Machina start hunting down Delilah's cult when Vax is captured by cultists and is used in a ritual meant to make Delilah a new vessel to return in that ends up turning Vax into an infant. Vox Machina find themselves working against the clock to protect Vax while stopping the cult from bringing back the Briarwoods, while Vax has to grow up all over again.

Not My Mark - An alternative universe with a/b/o themes, where Vax is an omega who is forced to pretend he is an alpha by his father until he is caught during heat by the Briarwoods and falls pregnant as a result. How does Vax handle this new trauma? How does Percy react? And could Vax really bring Sylas' kids into the world and raise them as his own? What changes?

And We All Fall Down - An alternative ending to season one of The Legend of Vox Machina where Vox Machina are defeated and taken captive by the Briarwoods after the fight at the ziggurat. Very dark, no good. Just angst, evilness and suffering.

DISCLAIMER - While I am still actively working on these fics at current, there is no guarantee I will finish them as my mental health is ever swinging back and forth like a pendulum, and my motivation is the same.

Hello everyone, it's that time again! Hope you're all well!

5,665 WORDS!

Last week was surprisingly really productive??? What???

I will not complain about that!

After 2 weeks of struggling to write anything at all, I will happily take 5000 words.

I think from here onwards I'll stick to a weekly goal of just 3000 words for my own sanity, because aiming for 6000 kinda ruined my headspace ngl.

As for story goals, I have sadly failed to meet one I had been really hoping to meet...

Snowdrops was supposed to go out today (July 1st, 2024) before AO3 went down for server maintenance, but the writer's block hit me hard.

But I'm hoping to have it finished before the week is over, I wanted it done for today for an important reason.

Spider Lilies - a story that explores Laudna and her trauma, her feelings towards Vox Machina and her relationships with the different people in her life
