Inspired by lilsimsie and alwaysimming's not-so-berry challenge and sims-himbo's Barbie Legacy Challenge, I give you the K-pop collaboration idea that comes from combining the large numbered group NCT and our beloved Sims 4 Legacy gameplay.

Welcome! To the 25 generations of a legacy challenge inspired by the 25 members of NCT!

Here are some of the basic rules of the challenge:

Play on a short lifespan this is to make sure that we get through all 25 generations of this let’s play.

But if you want to play on a normal life span please refer to the normal life span rules [to be updated!]

This legacy is patriarchal, meaning only male sims can be the heirs of this let’s play.

The firstborn son would be the recognized heir.

All skills and careers should reach level 7

Unless stated otherwise 

All aspirations must finish the third level

Unless stated otherwise.

All generations should start with 2,500 Simoleons

Unless they are set to inherit the previous sim’s wealth.

Auto aging should be on even for townies.

You may opt to, but are not required to:

Edit your sims to look like the NCT members

Edit their names to be the same as the generation

Live in different lots per generation (if moving is not a requirement)

Follow with a mid-life crisis situation and change paths as long as you've reached level 7 of your career.

Before we continue, I want to apologize with the fact that I used a lot of packs for this legacy challenge.

Also, this challenge doesn't reflect real life personalities of the members. It is simply inspired by SOME aspects of their personalities and what they show to us as idols. I also do not own NCT, nor is this challenge affiliated with them.

MUCC to release 'Timeless': A 25-Year Musical Legacy Compilation

MUCC, a trailblazer in the Japanese music scene, is set to captivate fans with the release of their new album "Timeless" on December 28th. This eagerly anticipated album is a culmination of their profound musical journey, featuring an eclectic mix of 12 tracks. These include six songs from the exclusive singles of their album replication tour, "MUCC 25th Anniversary TOUR 'Timeless'", four re-recorded versions selected from the albums performed during the tour, a track from their split single with deadman, and their latest song "Timeless". Season 3 Part of: The SiIvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis

Five years. It's been five whole years since the third season of SiIvaGunner came to an end. Five whole years since, in some ways, the channel began charting a course that would change it's direction forever. Season 4 Episode 1's mission statement was incredibly concise - to return the channel's chaotic, unpredictable nature of the Season 1 days, and to deliver on the absolute titan of an event that was the King for Another Day Tournament. After various production woes in the Christmas Comeback Crisis' main storyline and a newfound interest in other ventures through the King for a Day Tournament, it became evident that there simply wouldn't be much room left over in the itinerary for the channel's ongoing storyline in 2019. And so, in a way, Season 3's finale marked the day that the channel's storyline bowed out to a backseat position - yet with The Life and Times of Wade L.D., they did so with utmost splendor.

I've said before on here, at least way back on 時の回廊 ＜ver. CCC＞, that I don't wish to get too hung up on dissecting the Christmas Comeback Crisis storyline in particular - compared to most other lore on the channel, the form it takes is one that any average viewer is well able to dissect and watch on their own without much added context needed. I adore the series and wish to celebrate it - particularly its later endeavours - with my whole heart, but if I did I feel as if I'd inevitably be writing up to pages in the triple digits. Yet even if you're not all too familiar with the Christmas Comeback Crisis, be it as a newer fan or just plainly someone uninterested in the lore, it's pretty immediately noticeable that The Life and Times of Wade L.D. has a far different feel to it than other endeavors in the series. For one, the story told doesn't follow a character like Wood Man or Smol Nozomi or Haltmann, but an entirely new character - one who is created and (seemingly) ceases to exist entirely within this storyline. It is in some ways a standalone story - one that, perhaps more noticeably, is presented in an incredibly unique fashion - through an chronological archive of various recordings, emails, receipts, logs and photographs all centered around the titular Wade L.D. character. A character who, for the first time in the Christmas Comeback Crisis story, depicts the life of the everyman in Grandiose City - those who are not heroes nor villains, but are simply trying to exist within this strife-filled world that The Voice Inside Your Head unleashed at the series' beginning. Three years deep into this storyline, and it's officially become so much more than just the fun Kirby: Planet Robobot spoof that Patched Plains Fusion Collab, Mother's・Caption (We Paused The Channel For HOW Long?! Mix), The Noble Haltmann and so many more rips were all themed around. With Season 3 in particular, we'd gotten so many deeper insights into how this universe's world and operations were undergoing, small little peeks behind the curtain - it only makes it all the more befitting for the season to end with a full-on investigation of the truth. "Trust Nobody. Doubt Everything."

I believe its fair to say that The Life and Times of Wade L.D. was one of the most ambitious individual videos the team had made at the point of its release. Throughout its entire, gargantuan 30-minute runtime, we're spoiled with quality in so many different areas, from the fantastic artwork that maintains the story's mysterious atmosphere perfectly, to Smoky's remarkable writing being able to effortlessly ping-pong between seriousness and sly comedic jabs and references, to the soundtrack done entirely by the CCC series' sound director and certified GOAT, dante. Before the King for Another Day Tournament had the world floored, it was The Life and Times of Wade L.D. that kept impressing me with every turn - the commitment the team still had to this story, despite the clear signs to move on from it that they would eventually take in the years to come, was awe inspiring.

All of this is punctuated by what perhaps sets the story apart the most from other CCC productions - the full voice acting of all spoken and/or recorded dialogue. Season 3 was still a time where the voice acting the channel would have was typically in jest, either through sentence-mixing, text-to-speech, or through jokey rips altogether such as Haltmanna feat. Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20. Before Season 4 Episode 1 and onward would bring proper voice-acted performances for characters like John NotWoodman, DJ Professor K, and Joke-Explainer 7000, we had this. And perhaps unsurprisingly, it is that titular character, Wade L.D. himself, voiced by ripper CaptainComedy, who through my every rewatch still impresses me most in his performance. At once, CaptainComedy's performance feels tired, fed up, exhausted, yet also like someone no more different than you or I - a true everyman, a cog in the machine, yet one with pent-up anger and frustration building up inside of him, anger that comes out as events unfold.

Its hard to not get excited, as a big lorehead, to have the narrative in question focus so much on loose ends set up by prior CCC events and Haltmann's Archives videos. The presence of 2B from Nier Automata as a prominent character, the direct callbacks to the first-ever side story in Waluigi's Tacostand and establishing its bizarrely critical plot importance, the building drama between Haltmann and The Voice, the investigation onto SiIvaGunner's empty house and the traces of Woodman's presence there from the very start of Season 2...there is such an overarching feeling of satisfaction throughout all of The Life and Times of Wade L.D., as if I'm being genuinely rewarded for having paid attention to all of the channel's workings ever so extensively. All capped off by a genuinely touching narrative about the gradual collapse of a man's life.

Yet more than that satisfaction, what I love most about The Life and Times of Wade L.D. - above the music, the story, the artwork, the lore, or whatever else - is how much it still truly feels like a SiIvaGunner production. CaptainComedy's performance is incredible, yes - but right alongside him, you have channel founder Chaze the Chat playing a literal self-insert of himself, dubbed by only the most modest amount of investment into the role, althewhile making references to Maroon 5 and Kara's Flowers. There's references and nods to prior CCC episodes, an ongoing bait-and-switch joke that sees "Dr. P", set up to be a reference to the Dr. Piccolo meme, actually turn out to be referencing Dr. Pavel of Baneposting (Maskettaman - Dr. Pavel's Fly​-​So​-​Good) fame. There's just this subtle cheekiness to it all - never any sign that the episode and the storyline aren't being sincere, yet with countless signs to remind you of just how much fun the team are having in producing this story. A beating heart. A passion.

There are so many readings one could make of the storyline, that I don't know where to - or even if I should - begin. In our real world, the SiIvaGunner channel is a passion project driven entirely by voluntary contributors, a group of people contributing to a greater whole as a hobby out of love for the channel, their craft, and one another. It stands in stark contrast to the version of SiIvaGunner that The Voice Inside Your Head seeks to create, a symbol of the whiniest of fans of the channel's early days, and it stands in even starker contrast to what Haltmann further wishes for it to be - to produce rips as content, as products, as a job to attend just like Wade L.D. himself does. Wade's journey is one of excessive overwork, of burnout - perhaps not of making rips, yet with work pertaining to SiIvaGunner itself althesame. The environment Haltmann has created necessitates that Wade finds escapes from his job in order to feel relieved from it, that his work offers him no relief or fun - that the act of contributing to SiIvaGunner's growth is, at this stage, no longer something done out of passion. The Christmas Comeback Crisis, as meme-filled as it and the entire channel its hosted on is, is a form of a dystopia, if a subtle one, and the insight we get into Wade's life shows just how dire a project like SiIvaGunner could, in a far-worse world, be.

I could, really, as I said before, go on forever about this, about any Christmas Comeback Crisis episode. The series means the world to me, the CHANNEL of SiIvaGunner of course means the world to me as well - but it was, as I've said many a time before, through Season 2 that I unabashedly fell in love with the project. The Life and Times of Wade L.D. was everything I could have ever wanted a side story of the Christmas Comeback Crisis to be, and it warms my heart to see so many people from the team still cherish it. Be it dante reminiscing on how important of a project it was for him as a composer, or indeed this post's requestee, Jiko Music, arranging the episode's main theme for RIP^2 just last year with the beautiful LD. Its clear that it's so much more than just another piece to the SiIvaGunner lore - as perhaps SiIvaGunner's best Season finale second only to the one Season 7 just provided us, The Life and Times of Wade L.D. is downright incredible.

           july 2016 marks the graduation of claudia madeira and her friends. the group of teenagers was known around the small town of harbor springs for their constant loud celebrations, rebellious ideas and even more, for having dreams that became too big for the city limits. it was a known fact, by their parents and anyone who could hear them daydreaming at the coffee shop, that they would leave town eventually. or at the very least, they would try to. so when the time came, the night after graduation, they followed their own paths and promised to never forget the memories they created in that small magical town from connecticut. 

            seven years later, things haven’t been good, for anyone. those who left, somehow ended up sucked back into town; by a relative who became ill, after losing their perfect job one day, after a break up completely broke them down.. the reasons are endless. and, of course, there are always those who never managed to escape, whose dreams were tucked into under their bed and plans stayed as just that, plans. 

            mrs. dolevan said it best, the town shifted the day the last one of them stepped foot into town. something was in the air, things weren’t working as well as they once did anymore. the town had grown old, there was no big group of teenagers running around and celebrating the life they were about to have. most kids had ended up finishing high school in the neighboring town, which made their parents move down there eventually. harbor springs was now a ghost town. with only the memories and echoes, family they left behind and childhood rooms that still held pictures of people they haven’t seen in years. 

            and claudia, of course. holding the promise she made to never leave harbor springs, and hiding the truth of her autoimmune disease from her best friends as they toasted to the last night together. she held the fort and kept their memory alive. and then, she saw each and every single one of them crawl back into town. 

              the doctors said it was bound to happen any day, the gossipers said she couldn’t handle another day of living with the fact they had all failed.

summary: a skeleton discord group verse based on the life of teenagers that were born in a very small town called harbor springs and grew up close experiencing traumatic things together but promised to get out of town (or at least try) once they graduated high school. seven years later, they’re all back to town for different reasons and one week after the last one of them arrives, claudia madeira, class president and their valedictorian, passes away from unknown reasons, causing them all to sit in a room together for her funeral. check out the pinterest board.

4. this won’t be first come first serve, each mun can apply for ONE MUSE. i know there’s no way i can know for sure so this is basically based on trust and a suggestion but i’d love if we could bring new/undeveloped muses to the verse. the plot is heavy on development and in character building to i feel muses that haven’t been completely fleshed yet would benefit more from this setting.

A round up of all the TIGER & BUNNY 2 related news that was released today! First, the most important news, we have a new trailer for cour 2! A reminder that the final set of episodes (14-25), will be releasing on October 7th (yes just 1 week away!) @ 4pm JST - worldwide over on Netflix.

If you haven't seen the trailer already, check it out here:

Next, the cast watch parties, hosted by the troublesome buddy duo - series' seiyuu Hiroaki Hirata (Kotetsu) and Masakazu Morita (Barnaby), will be making its return, with hopefully more cast/staff guests!

The first watch party will be streamed live on the 7th October at 21:00 JST over on the BNPictures Youtube (note - this is most likely to be region locked again). This will then follow with weekly Saturday streams for episodes 15 - 24 at the regular time of 21:00 JST, from the 15th October onward. The final watch party for episode 25 will be hosted on Christmas Eve (also known in the fandom as BUDDY REUNION DAY) on the 24th December!

We hope that Anime Netflix will continue to translate these episodes for us and release them a week after they air, like the 1st batch of episodes.

Moving on, the 2nd Blu-Ray cover art and slip case box art has been released, featuring Rock Bison and Origami Cyclone! The art on the left was drawn by series' main character designer, Masakazu Katsura, whilst the art on the right is by one of the series' main key animators, Mika Yamamoto!

a/n: I am proud to present my first fic for my 25 follower celebration! This one features an autistic Ianto struggling to identify and process emotions and comes from the first prompt from this post from @bookwermthings. The title and the concept is alexithymia, a trait of autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. WC: 996

It was easy, easier than anything, to say that Ianto would die for Lisa. For Yvonne.

A year later, he would die for Jack. For Gwen. For Owen. For Tosh.

And then two years after that, for Jack. For Gwen. For Rhys.

“I love you,” said Lisa. It was their six month anniversary, and the first time she’d said those three words. They were in a gorgeous French place, and she was wearing a fitted red dress, and Ianto thought she was the most beautiful person he had ever seen.

“I love you,” said Lisa, and he froze.

“I love you,” said Lisa, and he said, “Good,” and they drove home in silence. It took three days, several apologies, a bouquet of flowers, and a handwritten I love you Ianto wasn’t sure he even understood for Lisa to speak to him properly outside of work after that.

“I need you,” said Yvonne. They were being marched away from the Breach by Cybermen and she tugged him to the side and looked him in the eye and gave him the chance to run away, to try to fight the Cybermen, to try to fight the Daleks. To lead Torchwood One in her absence, even if it meant he only prolonged his own inevitable death.

“I need you,” said Yvonne, and he nodded sharply, and he ran.

“I need you,” said Yvonne, and he ran, and he never saw her again.

“I came back for you,” said Jack. He had been gone for months (Ianto would later learn it was over a year from Jack’s perspective), and then he came back and Gwen railed on him and Ianto thought he deserved it, because he left them. He left Ianto, and Jack couldn’t leave Ianto. It threw the universe out of balance.

“I came back for you,” said Jack, and Ianto said nothing.

“I came back for you,” said Jack, and “Dinner? A movie?” and Ianto said yes even though his heart ached just as much now that Jack was home as it did when Jack was gone.

“Sweetheart,” said Gwen. His mother had died, and he didn’t know who to talk to, who to tell. He couldn’t even talk to Rhiannon, because she was busy with the kids and with Johnny and heaven knew they hardly got along anyway. He told Gwen, because Gwen got along with him better than Rhi ever had.

“Sweetheart,” said Gwen, and Ianto lied and said he needed the loo.

“Sweetheart,” said Gwen, and Ianto went to the loo, and when he came back, his face splotchy and red and the edges of his hair and collar damp from tap water, he picked up his keys and walked out the door and thanked Gwen for letting him visit with her.

“Careful, Tea Boy,” said Owen. Ianto had damaged his chest tissue and bruised his ribs from binding too tight, and from exercising while binding, but in his defense he couldn’t just take off his binder at a moment’s notice to chase after a Weevil or fistfight a Blowfish. Still, Owen’s hand was gentle on his shoulder, and he looked down at Ianto and promised to buy him three new binders that fit better if only Ianto would promise to bind safely.

“Careful, Tea Boy,” said Owen, and Ianto shrugged him off.

“Careful, Tea Boy,” said Owen, and Ianto gathered up his clothes and winced at the pain in his ribs and made sure Owen’s coffee was exactly as he liked it until he saw the pristine package on his desk in the archives. He opened it, and there were three new binders, all different colors, and they fit like a glove.

“I hope I did good,” said Tosh. It was her video, though, and it was wrong. It didn’t have Tosh’s warmth or softness, or the gentle smell of her shampoo, because Tosh was dead. Gray had killed her, killed Owen, killed Jack a hundred million times over. Tosh was dead, and outside of this damned video, Ianto would never see her again.

“I hope I did good,” said Tosh, and a tear slipped unbidden down Ianto’s cheek.

“I hope I did good,” said Tosh, and Ianto walked away, because there was a gaping hole in his chest that seemed the size and shape of Tosh and Owen and Lisa and Yvonne and Mum and Dad and everyone he had ever been willing to die for. There was a gaping hole in his chest that belonged to Tosh, because she did so good, and he wasn’t sure he could ever be happy again.

“Thank you,” said Rhys. Ianto thought he had embarrassed himself, with the croquet set and the carrot sticks, losing his tie to a stranger’s pet. But here Rhys was, tears in his eyes, staining his cheeks, wrapped in the arms of his friends and holding a hand out to Ianto.

“Thank you,” said Rhys, and Ianto inched closer, awkward and anxious.

“Thank you,” said Rhys, but Ianto only did what any friend would do, didn’t he? He reminded Rhys that it was okay to grieve, it was okay to lose, it was okay to be sad, it was okay to grieve, it was okay to love. Even if it was hard to understand love, it was okay to love.

For Lisa, his heart pounded in his chest.

For Yvonne, he would tear apart the planet.

For Jack, he would listen and embrace and kiss until he no longer could.

For Gwen, he would talk.

For Owen, he would keep himself safe.

For Tosh, his heart was torn in two.

For Rhys, he would push himself out of his comfort zone.

Ianto didn’t know what to call these feelings, or how they were different from each other, or how they were the same, but he kept them and cherished them and grew them when he could and mourned them when he had to, and even when he ached, he was warm.

Music Videos

태풍 (The Eye) was released on November 25, 2014 at noon, marking it as the group’s official debut. The album was released the following day, and the dance practice was released on the twenty-ninth.

Bad made its release on December 12, 2014, a full music video much like The Eye, as a continuance of the cinematic storyline brought along by previous releases. Despite having choreography of its own, Bad was only performed once during the group’s promotional period, as companion to The Eye’s goodbye stage.

Pretty U (예쁘다) was released after the promotional period made its conclusion, on December 30th, with three following dance practices serving as gifts to the fans of the blooming group all labeled ‘love ver’, ‘letter ver’, and ‘dear cipher ver’.

Concept ⤻ Virus

While Pretty U has a vibe that matches along with Vision, the title track and Bad are nestled within the Virus concept. In both songs, the lyrics suggest chasing after a bad girl, and in the other, finding the courage to leave a poor relationship despite having lovelorn feelings. 

Code  ⤻ Story

[ The Eye ] ‘ We are met again with Kiha, the previous last man standing in the Error music video. His body is whole, so it assumed the ending of the prior music video was instead a deconstruction on something unseen by the human eye. While standing alone, Kiha appears to be in reflection of a night previous, where he’d been unwillingly dragged across a dirt path, kicking and screaming until being left abandoned amongst nothing but rubble and a packaged box, his clothes grimy and bloody from an unseen ordeal. He pulls a paper bag over his head and returns to the ground, falling unconscious.

In the next few scenes, we see an abandoned structure, in great detail—filled with furniture, though ragged, a sign of life. The package is brought into focus, and the members are found together at a table as the lyrics bring up forgetting about someone, letting go of their memory. The lyrics suggest that thinking of the memories with this unseen loved one brings them great agony, with Ezra seeking to cover Jin’s eyes in one shot, and Jaebeom fighting with Leishen in another, showing that with one duo, they want to hide from these painful memories and run from them, and Jaebeom seeks to fight against them. Realizing that he is instead hurting his fellows by fighting it, Jaebeom backs away, fear chilling at him, as he is pulled into a closet labeled as such by another member, Ace, who has already succumbed to this fear. From there, they watch Kiha stagger from where he had been attacked, as if he was the source of this terror.

The following scenes show each member in small groups going separate directions, always wanting to stay together, but going their separate ways regardless. We’re brought back to Kiha alone, the loss of his members a terrible shock to him, leaving him isolated in the large structure, looking back on the events that unfolded and only being able to shed tears when thinking of their departure. As much as he would like to, he can not to stand on his own and move forward by himself. He’s alone, and he feels trapped. 

We find the other members elsewhere, together, yet still in the same building. Jin is at the forefront, holding a device that appears akin to a light. The members are all huddled together, as if they cannot meet up with Kiha. The light switches on, and from outside the stone building, in the midst of a storm, we see the floor from where the golden glow was unleashed. At the very same time, we return to the Kiha who lay unconscious. As soon as the light-switch is sounded, awakens, face to face with a street-light overhead. He pulls the paper bag off his head, as if he’s dumbfounded by the ‘dream’ he’d awoken from. Near his body, the final shot is a wallet, assuming to belong to him, with a picture jutting out with nine boys present in the picture.

[ Bad ] ‘ From the start of the MV, we see Jin sprinting from an unseen individual. In some shots, they appear to be gaining on him, but with each step, we only see colored fog, and no person behind him, hinting that the one chasing him cannot be seen by the naked eye, or possibly, that they are shrouded in the fog and darkness of the scenery around him. We’re then cut to a shot of a blonde woman, standing alone in a colored room, a clue that this may be who Jin runs from. 

Each of the other members appear to be alone in a room including a mirror. One of which room we see is mostly made up of tiles, including a sink and the mirror is shattered but we still eye their reflection. The room is dirty, and the members have a hand wrapped up as if each one of them had tried to punch through the mirror and shatter it completely. The first difference in each mirrored room is with Jem, sitting in a purple-colored room on a chair, surrounded sparsely by plants and mirrors in different sizes, sitting in front of a mirror where he is staring at his own reflection. The next different scene we find Sol sitting in a bedroom under swinging lights, again, in front of a mirror. He looks to his right into his reflection, and the member looking back at him is Leishen. 

Throughout, we see Jin running away in darkness, and the woman making chase by way of going through the mirrors, making the allusion that these reflectors are actually portals, or doorways, to different areas. There is a pink hallway full of them however, covered up by paper, thus she cannot seem to gain access. Ezra and Ace appear in two matching rooms, with the looking glass all over the walls, ceiling and floors, to which they sit, trapped, and hiding from the woman who tries to enter. 

Jin finally stops running, and the person chasing him catches up with him. He turns to face them, but he is not met with the blonde woman seen before, but instead, a vision of himself. Turns out, what had been behind him the entire time, was a mirror, and looking back at him was his own face. He takes slow strides from the object to which he had run from, finally braving the courage to face this truth, and closed the gap between himself and the mirror. The Jin looking back at him smiles, we see a glitch, and it’s suddenly Kiha looking back at him, and stepping away, out of focus. The other members inch closer to their own mirrors, as if to check their reflection for its’ audacity, and disappear from where they had been sitting or standing, being pulled inside, and through the mirror to an unknown place. The video ends with Jin, staring into an empty doorway, reflecting everything around him but himself.

[ Pretty U ] ‘ Welcome to Vision! A dark, very sizeable brick building is met with light as Leishen and Eli pull open the doors allowing sunlight to stream through the brick building, and immediately upon the light reaching the ground, a packed vehicle spills inside, driven by Jin. Immediately, Jem and Ezra are found inside a building similar to that of a school with spray paint and posters. While Jin, Leishen and Eli unpack the car and prep the dark building, Ace, Kiha, Jaebeom and Sol are found at a restaurant, eating lunch. This shows each member in a lighter setting than previous MVs, so it stands to reason, they are in a similar world to that of Adore U, untouched by the pain and misery of the Virus. 

A food fight is brought on by Jem between his group and Ace’s, and the members engage in a very messy battle, unbothered by the other residents of the restaurant—and of course, why would they be, when this is a world where anything goes, and any broken rules from joy and well-good fun are not to be looked upon with disgrace. Noting the mess they started, Ezra and Jem make a run for it, and their members coated with table condiments give chase. Chaos ensues throughout the city, with Ezra and Kiha spray-painting an abandoned structure, and the others of the two groups going to a bowling alley and playing in the absence of all over-head lights. 

The following morning, the members continue their train of chaos by vandalizing public properties with their own made stickers, even taking a mostly empty bus around town while the other half of the group decorates the brick building in preparation for a great party. Another day well-wasted, the boys can be seen running and jumping in joy and glee under a night of celebration with fireworks lighting up the sky. Finally, the party starts with Jaebeom and Sol running through the sliding wooden door of the brick building with their car, and the members hold their party all in good fun, blissfully ignorant of their Virus side and what terror may come with the truth of it.

Starting on the evening of November 27th, stages can be seen throughout three weeks of the following month, complete with three presences on stage, once each week. Unfortunately, through three weeks and three stages, Error has not recieved their first win with The Eye.

𝄞 For this era, each member stayed with their natural hair-color and style, though Sol was the first to mention in a VLive after their official debut that he wouldn’t mind dyeing his hair next time around, curious about what color would fit him the best.

𝄞 Pretty U was originally filmed in the late summer, shortly after the release of Adore U, but its release was initially delayed until December because Jin and Sol agreed it would make a precious gift to fans during the cold holiday season.

𝄞 Ribbon in the Sky saw the birth of song-writer Jaebeom. Working closely with Sol, Kiha and the company’s staff, Jaebeom wanted to bring forth a song calling out corruption in day to day life with the relation of the social system and media.

𝄞 Boxer was originally talked about to be the group’s title track, but after much discussion, The Eye ended up being chosen.

𝄞 There weren’t very many solo lives during this era, however, members Kiha and Sol often had duo lives, talking about working on the music videos and the interpretations of the lyrics and storyline. Starting out as awkward as one would expect, the two grew very confident in front of the camera that separated them from fans very quickly over time, showcasing bright and giddy personalities on screen as the direct result of finally debuting. 

𝄞 Unexpectedly, Jin was the member with the most solo lives through the group’s promotional period, and after the goodbye stage. Often joined for a short time by Jaebeom and Leishen, the oldest member of Error spent a lot of time talking with fans about working towards their debut and everything in between.

Scroll if you want to learn who these guys are and what they did. You will also read about a Lord, a henna user, who had best haircut and Queen’s favorite food. (I wrote in bold letters the parts about Queen members and some funny facts.)

1. a"rigger". They assemble the stage (all 6000 square feet of it). Sometimes this can take two days, so there are two stages on this European tour. While one is being taken down at one venue, the other is being assembled at the next.

3 John "Tumbridge" Wells, one of the security men responsible for looking after the members of Queen. "Tumbridge" looks after Brian May, escorts him wherever he goes and keeps the fans from getting too close.

5 Alex Alexandrou, carpenter. There's two of us, and we put up all the stage scenery. I put up the walkways around the back and sides of the stage wich Freddie runs along. He likes to run on carpet, so I have to lay that down everywhere.

6. Chris "Crystal" Taylor, group coordinator. He organises all of the personal Queen crew, roadies, the security men. He makes sure they all know what they have to do and when they have to do it.

7. Jim Deveney, monitor engineer. "I sit out of sight on stage. I have to make things sound good so that the band can hear what they're doing. The sound comes through these speakers called "monitors" wich face onto the stage. The worst act I ever worked for was Rod Stewart. He was really miserable.

8. Joe Fanelli, Freddie's main personal assistant, who cooks for him at his London Home. "He likes anything really exotic, North African food, curries, good French cooking. He hates veal and doesn't eat carrots. Lambs is a bit iffy too. Brian's vegetarian but he eats fish. John likes very simple food, pie and mash and Roger likes anything but lamb.

9. Tony Williams, in charge of Queen's wardrobe. "I have to look after all of the band's stage clothes. That includes lots of details like making sure all the changes of clothes they need are backstage (Freddie changes about three times each performance), labelling the band's stage shoes (because they all wear the same stripey Adidas), and looking after Freddie's special moustache scissors. Also I have to wash all of their clothes in my hotel bedroom. My bath is always full. And Brian May has been using all this red henna do dye his hair and it comes out all over his shirts. It's very hectic".

"I have to look after John Deacon's bass guitars and Freddie's guitar and special radio microphones (the one that don't have a fead) and keyboard instruments. He's very particular about things being just right. Personally I don't enjoy these tour as much as the old ones. Nowadays ther's too much equipment, too many hangers-on, and everybody's trying to be important."

Do you know I got married yesterday! I celebrated the wedding with the band and crew. It had to be squeezed in during the tour.

There are 15 "truckers" on this tour, plus the bus wich takes the road crew and sometimes the band. The worst thing about this job is being away from home for a long time when you're on tour. And the best thing is...erm maybe that should be a secret".

40. Spike Edney, keybordist and second guitar player: " My biggest fear is that it might get too damp, which makes the synthesisers cut out. I just pray that I'm out of clouting range of Freddie if that happens. He might not realise why I'm not playing and he'd be very upset if he thought I was daydreaming of something. But Queen on the whole are great to work with and they get drunk a lot too. Champagne every night, it's great!

41. Simon tutchener, lighting director. "I operate the main lighting console during the concert. It took three weeks to rehearse. I have a crew who set all the lights up, and 14 spotlights operators who I control through an intercom system and one man on a "Ver-lite", plus a man on the colour changer computer, plus a man on a computer which controls the up and down movement of the whole lighting rig, and then there are a few bits on stage, including Brian May special spaceship thing which comes down during his solo spot with all the flashing lights and..." (that's quite enought about lighting. Ed)

46. "Phoebe", one of Freddie's personal assistants. These people help to arrange Sir Frederick's day, making sure he gets to appointments on time, and taking care of all those little details, which keep him happy.

48. Lyndsey Beckingham, caterer. One of a team of five who feed the crew and the group. The caterers have their own van to transport all the food, cookers and fridges necessary to feed up to 60 people three times a day.

One of the assistants to the chief sound engineer, who sets up the massive sound system making sure it works perfectly, and run around while Queen are on stage, putting things right ( like tangled wiring) and making sure that there are no problems which could cause any deterioration of the sound quality.

50. Dave Mills, head of backstage and front of stage security. "My job is to stop any skirmishes or fights by pulling people out, people who faint, and putting in the hands of the first aid people. Earlier on this tour, in Dublin, I pulled out a young man whose ear was barely hanging on by a thread, probably because some idiot threw a glass."

51 Gerry Stickells, tout manager. The most important poeple on the tour. He looks after the road crew, from the lighting team to caterers; hiring them, making sure that they're paid and that everyone's alright. (he even remembers every crew member's birthday, making a fuss of them so they get too miserable). The other important thing he does is to go out months before the tour to look at the planned concert sites and to make all the thousands of arrangements that need to be made in advance. He's been working with acts like Rod Steward and Elton John and has organised Queen's road tour for 11 years. "They have to be highly-strung crazy people, they have to in order to ware themselves up to perform. So I admire them, yes. But I wouldn't want to socialise with them. Soon as this tour is over I'll go home and watch television."

52 Mike Weisman, production and stage manager. "I'm in charge of seeing that the stage and scenery is all but together properly. We work all day to get everything right. I have to coordinate all the work of the riggers and carpenters."

Coping

a/n: Presenting the third fic for my 25-follower celebration!  Minor content warning for nightmares.  WC: 906

The sound of yelling from upstairs in the Hub startled Ianto.

No.  Not again.  He sprinted up three flights from the archives to the main Hub, taking the steps two at a time, and followed the sound of the shouting without noticing where he was or where it was actually coming from.

It was Gwen’s voice, he processed through the adrenaline that set his heart to racing and his blood to pounding in his ears, and that was worse, because if Gray was somehow awake like Beth had been or if John was back, Jack could deal with them--he shouldn’t have to, but he could, and Ianto hated himself for thinking it--but Gwen was just as mortal as Tosh and Owen, and he couldn’t lose her.

He found himself in the rest and recreation room, where the couch was--where Gwen was asleep on the couch, yelling nonsensically, and Jack was standing over her, pleading with her to just wake up and breathe and calm down.

Ianto paused, breathing slowly and deeply for a moment and trying to focus past Gwen’s outward reaction to her nightmare.  When he was shaking a little less from the adrenaline crash, he came up to the arm of her couch, behind her head, and stroked her hair gently, carding his hand through it near the roots where she could feel it.  It was soft--a little oily, but then none of them had been doing much outside of the Hub since Gray, so if she wasn’t getting a chance to wash her hair as often as she needed Ianto certainly wasn’t going to judge.

Jack gave Ianto a grateful look, but Gwen still slept, still yelled.  She must be exhausted, Ianto thought, and continued his gentle smoothing down of her hair.

Eventually, Gwen began to calm under his ministrations, and Jack folded himself into the narrow space on the couch behind her where he could barely fit to wrap himself around her and hold her close, providing the comfort he could.  Gwen and Jack were both so tactile, and had only become more so after Gray.

Her yelling calmed to murmuring, to snuffling, and to snoring, until she was peacefully asleep again.  Ianto continued to caress the top of her head anyway, because he wasn’t sure how else to help.  He was still shaking a bit, though, and didn’t want to go back down into the archives alone, especially if Gwen was at risk for further nightmares.

Jack’s face was buried in the crook between Gwen’s neck and shoulder, but he looked up at Ianto.  “You two need to go home,” he said, softly, so as not to wake her (though if her shouting and her nightmare hadn’t, she was probably still fast asleep).

“You know we can’t,” Ianto replied, voice just as low.  “There’s too much--”

“I know.  There’s too much to do around here.”  Jack sighed, and Ianto watched the air of it stir some of Gwen’s stray hairs.  “You can’t keep going like this.”

“Neither can you, Jack,” Ianto reminded him.  Just because he couldn’t stay dead didn’t mean he couldn’t die, and he was not about to succumb to sheer exhaustion on Ianto’s watch.  “Have you talked to Martha?”

Jack’s lips pursed.

It was Ianto’s turn to sigh, though he found that despite his mild discontent, talking with Jack was calming.  The trembling in his hands slowed and stalled as they spoke in low tones.

Eventually, Gwen stirred in Jack’s arms, under Ianto’s hand.

“Good morning, Rhys,” she said blearily.

Jack chuckled, and Ianto flushed.

“Actually, you’re still at the Hub,” Jack told her.

Gwen grumbled.  “Of course it’s you.  Bloody Jack Harkness.”

Jack’s chuckles grew into a full belly laugh.  “Now that you’re awake from your nap, I’m afraid I’m sending you home to get some real sleep.  I don’t want you back here for at least twelve hours.”

Gwen’s eyes flew open at that.  “We can’t leave the Rift unattended for that long--” she began.

“I know,” Jack said, and at least his tone was more solemn.  “The Rift isn’t as important as you and Ianto, and you’re working yourselves to exhaustion.”

“Not as important?” Gwen asked, incredulous.  “If the wrong thing, or god forbid, person, comes through the Rift, it could be a matter of life or death for the entire city!”

“I know and I don’t care,” Jack replied, with just the hint of a defensive growl in his tone.  “You and Ianto are more important than the entire city.  Do you understand me?”

Ianto’s brow furrowed when he looked at Jack.  What a difference, what a remarkable change loss could make even in a person who had lived well over two millennia.

“Go home, Gwen Cooper.  Don’t let it drift.”  Jack kissed her on the cheek and urged her to get up.  “You too, Ianto.”

Ianto leveled a look at Jack as Gwen stood, rolled her shoulders a few times, and went to find her coat.

“You’re the only thing I have to let drift,” Ianto said when she was out of earshot.  “If I’m going home, you’re coming with me.”

Jack’s expression softened.  “We really can’t leave the Rift unattended--”

“We get notifications from Tosh’s Rift monitoring program,” Ianto said, and the timing of the wrench in his gut and Jack’s flinch was impeccable and painful.  Oh, how he missed her.  “We won’t be leaving the Rift unattended.  Come home, Jack.  Sleep.”

AUGUST 2020 GOLD STAR MEDIA SCHEDULES & REVIEW

Members may earn 3 points each (up to 6 points) for writing, by the end of September 7 KST:

A solo para of 400+ words based on their monthly schedule (does not count toward your monthly total).

A thread of six posts (three per participant, including the starter) based on their monthly schedule.

OVERALL COMPANY

Last month’s photo sessions for the base Culture Complex were a success and it seems like the project is off to a solid start, although some idols may be called back in for reshoots, especially for the 3D imaging, as necessary this month. All of the idols under BC, Dimensions, and Gold Star have been tasked with a new duty for the building this month: filming videos that will accompany some of the museum exhibits. The videos will be once again filmed in a studio, this time in front of a green screen, and the idols will be asked to talk about their feelings about important career events like their trainee days, debut, song releases, and major achievements. They will be given all of the subjects they are expected to talk about beforehand to rehearse their answers, and the director may request different wording or delivery of their answers as seen fit. (admin note: Muns have freedom about the specific topics muses are asked to talk about here within the guidelines given above, but any talk about scandalous or negative occurrences will be avoided.)

GOLD STAR SOLOIST 1

She continues to have rehearsals for her upcoming concert tour throughout the month, as well as meetings on things like the tour concept and any updates about the concerts management may have for her. Around mid-month, she’ll go in to have her fittings for her tour wardrobe to ensure all outfits are fit for moving on stage and to narrow down the selections to the final wardrobe set.

GOLD STAR SOLOIST 2

At the end of the month, she’s returning to KCON, this time on the west coast of the US instead of the east in Los Angeles. She’ll be in the city from August 25 to August 30, with some extra time before the night she performs as Gold Star has set her and her team up to meet with some producers and potential business connections within Hollywood.

GOLD STAR SOLOIST 3

It’s the last full month before he releases his first English album and makes his comeback, so he’s tasked with fittings mid-month to prepare to shoot his album photos and teasers a week later. At the end of the month, he’s headed out of Seoul to Los Angeles to once again perform at KCON, this time on the west coast. The release date of his album will be announced by then, so he’s expected by Gold Star to promote it as much as he can during the event to let any new US fans he may gain know about it.

SILHOUETTE

Gold Star is very pleased with Silhouette’s comeback results. They got a weekly number one, earned themselves music show wins, and earned critical praise for both the concept of their comeback and the stage presence and talent it allowed them to show, returning to them some of the glory of their rookie days. A repackage in the form of a special edition album was up for debate a few months ago, but has easily been given the go ahead now and the members will record the additional song and single for the repackage this month. “Cleansing Cream” is a turn in concept from ‘Sixth Sense” as a vulnerable ballad, but Gold Star is putting trust in Silhouette as their most experienced group to pull it off.

ARIA

Aria is dedicating all of their attention to Queendom this month. They’ll be covering their labelmate senior Silhouette’s latest release “Sixth Sense”, which is a big risk fresh off of the public seeing the original performers make the song a hit, and even with their maturing image over the years, the concept is far from what anyone expects from Aria. ORIGIN

Origin makes their comeback with their single on August 14 and they’ll continue to promote the song up until a few days before the release of their album and a new single that will send them through the routine of music show promotions all over again. Origin will be in the US from August 22 to August 26 in order to do some promotions in Los Angeles, including a live radio interview with an audience and content for an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, including filming for a Carpool Karaoke video that will be released during “On” promotions next month.

August is spent promoting their latest comeback with music show appearances and fan signs, along with an appearance on Weekly Idol. As expected from a group whose fanbase has only grown since debut, their album outsells their last, which is enough to make Gold Star happy, even if they fall victim to the less impressive digital performance of most boy groups.

The leader and the maknae are called into a meeting with management on August 3 and are told they’ve been officially confirmed as Impulse’s first sub-unit, which will promote under the name PULS2 (’pulse’, with the S2 stylized as a heart in their logo). It’s possible it doesn’t come as much of a surprise from all of the whispers around Gold Star for the past several months, and the fact both members have been suggested in particular to work on songs together with Gold Star’s producers in the past few months if they wanted to, but the official announcement means they get to know the final track list decided for the album and will get to recording the final vocals for all of the tracks this month.

FUSE

Gold Star doesn’t arrange anything to officially celebrate Fuse’s anniversary, but it passes with plenty of fanfare from the fans nonetheless. Leading up to the end of the month, the girls are kept busy with rehearsals for their comeback and for two festival performances they’re booked to perform at in the days leading up to their comeback. They make their comeback on the 31st and earn praise for their release this time around, as it seems to be favored by the broader public over “Zimzalabim” and “Umpah Umpah”.

ELEMENT

After passing their third anniversary, this month, the members of Element are granted a gift in the form of their first official extended vacation since debut from August 2 to August 15. During this time, the members will be freed from any group schedules (any solo schedules will still need to be attended) and they will be permitted to travel abroad if they wish as long as they are accompanied by a manager.

Their Japanese album releases this month, but with a break in their touring schedule, the Femme Fatale members are thrown into rehearsals and other preparations for a different stage: their first ever fan meeting that they’ll be holding in October.
