9 hours of music from shops in video games, 300 songs from 35 years' worth of releases. It's my magnum opus, the product of multiple years of work, the most elaborate joke I have ever made (so far). It's also a genuinely good listen. You can throw it on shuffle and see what you get, or you can play it from start to finish for a more controlled experience.
It's provided as a download only, no streaming, because it's 9 hours of music from sources ranging from 'mainline Pokemon' to '80s Japan-exclusive PC RPG' and I have no idea how to make that streamable. I've also provided a tracklist in two different places, so if you want to put together your own Youtube playlist or attempt to insult my taste in music without having to listen to it first (sidenote: you can't, my music taste is great), you can do that too!
DREAMWIDTH LINK: Dreamwidth has a text tracklist; somewhat harder to read but easier to copy. It also has previews of the eight (!!!) different album cover options for the playlist.
GOOGLE SHEETS LINK: Sheets has a spreadsheet tracklist with additional info; it's easier to read, plus you can sort by different options if you want to look more closely at my choices.
DOWNLOAD LINK: If you just want to go straight to the goods. This has the music, properly tagged, plus all the album cover options.
you know learning that executive dysfunction has a lot to do with understimulation and that intense agonizing Boredom feeling I've had my whole life is actually the equivalent of my brain's Battery Empty alarm has helped me A LOT with self-management and actually getting myself to function when I need to.
I NEVER struggled this much pre-pandemic (which is probably why I went this long without being diagnosed with anything or even thinking there was a problem but I digress) and it really freaked me out at first, but now I know it's literally because I now sit in my room and do only this. all the time. lol.
Like right now I woke up feeling really good and rested and I have like...A LOT I need to do this weekend cause not only did I get a fuckton of assignment work, but I've also taken WAY too long to finish this application for the mentorship, so I really had to get working but my brain was still like 'Sorry. Must have This Much Dopamine to Ride This Ride' and I have a System now so I was like 'Okay. Do you wanna check the morning tumblr for awhile?"
'Sorry. Must have This Much Dopamine to Ride This Ride'
'Do you wanna have a streamer in the background?'
'Sorry--'
'What about music? LOUD music. AND a streamer in the background very quietly.'
'....'
But of course it's not gonna tell me specifically what music it wants so I literally went through my Youtube playlists until it made the '!!!!!!!!!! OPTIMAL DOPAMINE LEVELS ACHIEVED!!!!' feeling
And then lo and behold I could focus immediately and now I'm halfway done lol
