I pointlessly crunched some numbers like a total nerd.

I factored: albums, Festa photoshoots, Winter and Summer Package photoshoots.

I defined a subunit photoshoot as a non-candid photoshoot where other subunits are clearly defined, usually in a 4 & 3 or 2, 2 & 3 configuration.

✌ Based on above, there were a total of 79 seperate official company photoshoots featuring a duo.

✌ There were 59 other photoshoots where the groupings are trios or quartets. I could analyse these and might still do that but just for transparency, Taekook were in 9 of these bigger groupings together.

✌ There is one instance of a 5 and 2 arrangement. The quintet was all but Namkook who did their own shoot. That made me giggle.

✌ The most photographed subunit is Vmin with six instances.

✌ Jikook, Taegi, Namkook and Vhope following with five each.

✌ Taejoon, Yoonmin, Taejin, Namgi and Jinkook all had four.

✌ Hopekook, Sope and Namjin had three.

✌ Taekook have two. They were in 2015 and 2016. They are tied with Jin and Yoongi.

✌ The least photographed are 2seok, Yoonkook, Namseok, Minimoni and Jinmin with only one instance each.

✌ The rapline don't have any official subunit photos in this selection. Nor do the Maknae line or the hyung line.

Interesting! I think I expected Taegi to be all my imagination so that's a nice surprise, I love them as a duo.

If you can think of another source of company content photos that I haven't included, I'd be really interested to know so I can add it. Or if you want to know something specific, I can do my best to pull it out of my spreadsheet. YEAH I DID A SPREADSHEET!

Edit: Thank you @stupendousfoxthing for pointing out BTS World in 2019. I missed this but I can't seem to find a full list of photos to be able to pull numbers from it unless I search by pairing. But I know from a quick google that you can add one to Taekook, Jikook and Vmin at least.

Jin's weverse post has me feeling some things. It makes is all seem more real. I cannot wait for the chaos of Jin being left alone with us and beginning the start of the welcome backs. As much as I miss them, I feel grateful for how this has all been planned out by them. We've got Tae's song and Hope on the street coming, whatever Namjoon's project is and any other surprises. I know it's still a long while to go before they are all back, but just having Jin back and then Hobi joining not long after, it feels like we're finally starting the home stretch.

I feel when Jin returns things will be calm at first. He’ll be back around Festa so I imagine some emotions will feel a bit raw. It’s going to take time for everybody to adjust, rally for his album and then for Hobi returning in October. And in the meantime we’ve got Vhope’s releases and Yoongi’s birthday to keep us busy before Joon drops his own project.

BigHit and the boys have planned it all very well, as you said, and made what could’ve easily been a much drier hiatus feel less so. I’m thankful too.

But don't go anywhere, I'm not done yet. I have questions too. My question is why you are so bothered by me believing in Jikook dating? I know many people out there believing in the most crazy stupid things, and I can't give a shit about it. Why can't you be the same? Or is it because you wake up every morning and monitor all the activities of Jimin and JK to see if you can find an evidence that is slightly not aligned with the idea of them dating? And then you come to your fake tmblr accout with 2 following and spam the blogs who turned off anonymous asks? This is a very obsessive and pathetic behavior if you ask me. Anyways I'm going to ignore you for the rest of this post because this is not about you, and your ask was just an excuse for me to write my thoughts.

Based on VHopeKook live last night, JK decided to invite members to "his place" to talk and have dinner together, and only Jhope and Taehyung accepted his invitation. So, Jimin not being there means that Jikook is not a thing? Okay, let's imagine if Jimin was one of members who responded JK's invitation. Wouldn't they repeat the same thing, saying that this proves they don't live together? The same people said that Jikook haven't seen each other in months, and it was only a matter of time to be proven wrong.

The story these people are trying to make is some type of a mutual pining. We see Jikook talking about each other, watching each others' videos and lives, JK invites jimin for food, Jimin invites JK for dance practice, JK invites Jimin to do boxing, Jimin wants JK to make him noodles and JK wants to watch his performance at music shows. They should take Yoongi's advice for that ARMY and just date. Lol

It's funny how people were getting hit tweets by making fun of JK building a mansion in Itaewon saying he doesn't need a mansion when his house has no decoration and he uses secondhand furniture. These people completely ignore the possibility of Brunnen actually not being his (only) place to live, since we already know JK is a very neat and perfectionist person. Apparently making fun of JK is more acceptable than that.

Wherever JK lives, he simply can not play loud music there, he can't do karaoke at 4am and not having neighbours on his door complaining. There is only one place that has no other residents and it is Brunnen building because it's all rented by Hybe entertainment, and as we can see JK uses that place for doing his special lives (which always include midnight loud music and karaoke) and other activities. Yes, he has clothes, kitchenware, a pethouse and other personal things in that place, and we can tell he has spent many nights there. But don't forget that JK is a millionaire, he can afford many things. He can afford things in double, he can buy more than one pethouse, and he can have more than one place to stay. It's not that hard to understand.

So let me give you a scenario; JK is leaving for LA (in a few hours the time I'm writing this post), he needed to pack some stuff, and since some of his clothes were in Brunnen, he stopped by to do the laundry and finish his packing. Since he was alone he invited the member in their group chat. Jhope came by because he loves to spend more time with members right before his enlistment, and Tae also came because he was alone. Jimin didn't come because he was tired or unavailable. VHopeKook had a great time together and shared some minutes of it with us, then VHope left, and JK kept getting ready for his business travel. And again, none of this had nothing to do with Jikook being a couple and living together.

The thing that's always bothered me the most about that kind of theories is that shippers don't need to do that with BTS of all people. I mean, when have they ever shied away from travelling together publicly, or meeting while they were on holidays (like vhope in Hawaii that time). Even when they've travelled with real-life, non celeb friends or other celeb friends, we've known about it. So it's like on top of the fantasy, they're also making up new personality traits about the members like "oh this is something that happens all the time - they travel together but they hide". No, it literally never happened, that is not a fact. There's no basis to be saying they do all that, so it really is just people coming to socmed and typing out whatever goes on in their imagination.

I always thought it wasn’t so much a not showing taekook thing, as it was a not showing Tae thing. Like I was around when KTHs were jobless enough to count how much screentime he had in memories and BBs and he always came in last. But it begs the question of why they didn’t put Tae (and consequently taekook) forward more considering his fanbases’ buying power? Like it’s genuinely weird from a commercial standpoint, unless it’s some sort of strategy to get fans to feel sorry for him, so they become more defensive of him, but why even complicate it like that Lol

And this isn’t to victimise, the guy’s a millionaire, he’s fine.

I agree, Tae generally doesn't get as much screen time but we were talking about the narrative around Taekook too, which has been negative unlike Vmin, Taejoon or Vhope, for example. Not showing is one thing but fan-disservice(lol)-"we're awkward", "we drifted apart", "we don't see each other during vacations unlike the others" "get out of your imagination"? - is another. And they only focus on Taekook when they want to make points like this. Just stick them with a fluffy, story like they do with other ships. Taekook don't even need to do anything, just spread the word with those PR-sounding fanaccounts or in that autobiography, like anon said. We don't need to know about Taekook's trials and tribulations lol. Even staying silent on the whole Taekook thing makes more commercial sense than what they did. Yeah, it never needed to be that deep.

“Be a good boy for Hobi-hyung,” were Jimin’s last words before going to visit his family for the week.
