———
Well that fucking sucked.
Soap thought, he really, really thought that he had a beautiful, sinful, delicious night ahead of him. Apparently not. Granted, the “no head” joke was a little tasteless given the context, but the opportunity had presented itself and he was nothing if not one to live each moment to the fullest. Also, if it landed, it would’ve been one hell of a laugh.
Sadly, it did not. Absolutely murdered the vibe, if anything
In fact, just about nothing landed. After the whole no-bottom revelation, Ghost more or less checked out of the whole situation.
“No, but really. There are plenty of other ways to fool around,” Soap offered, trying his damndest to claw the evening back in his favor. No, their favor. He made a show of thinking (but in a sexy, seductive sort of way). He tried again, “You’re always telling me to shut my mouth, yeah? How about you make me put it to good use instead?”
Oh, son of a gun, if that wasn’t the look of a starved man that flashed across Ghost’s eyes. Progress. Nevertheless, Ghost forced a disapproving exhale through his nose. “Johnny,” he warned.
Soap wasn’t stepping down with victory within reach like this, so he pushed his luck, closing the space between them with deliberate, swaggering steps. “I’m also very good with my hands,” he said, now separated from Ghost by a lean few inches. Fuck, this was actually working. Ghost’s chest rose and fell with labored breaths—dubious but potentially promising—and his jaw strained to mash his molars into each other—similarly dubious but potentially promising. The real tell was how he leaned forward ever so slightly despite the conflict wrinkling the corners of his eyes. This was a workable situation. This could be saved. “I’d love to show you.”
Or maybe it wasn’t!
Ghost retreated, the tension shattering into glittering shards that fell to the ground, very coincidentally spelling the words “John MacTavish, you are an idiot.” Crazy coincidence, that.
“Johnny, this isn’t going to work,” Ghost said with finality. As consolation, he didn’t sound particularly happy about it. Tenacious though he was, Soap knew to take the L when it was presented to him on a silver platter. It just fucking blew that the man delivering the L was tall, brooding, handsome, and dangerous beyond all belief.
“Right,” he said with a tight nod, “Well. I’ll leave you to it, then.” With that, he turned to the door and walked through it, nearly tripping on the tail between his legs.
He didn’t look back as he left. The shit show was sufficiently shit without seeing the unspecified negative emotion plastered over Ghost’s masked visage. That would’ve added insult to injury, and more than that, it would make the embarrassment exponentially more potent. No thank you.
The sound of the door closing echoed throughout the hallway, the final “boo” to convince him to retreat off the stage. Every minute he spent walking to his own room was spent considering the moments before his ultimate failure. That was the thing, though. He didn’t know why he failed. Ghost seemed to have been enticed. But then it went off with the unanticipated immediacy of a blown fuse. Weird.
Weird, but also promising. The words “down but not out” danced in Soap’s mind as he undressed for the shower, kept dancing as he scrubbed through his hair, as he lathered his body with soap (ha). The truth of the matter, despite the earlier fiasco, remained: he wanted Ghost. He wanted him more than he’d wanted anyone.
Don’t get it twisted. He’d never suffered for lack of tail, which statistically made sense given his propensity for batting in all directions. Those different flavors tickled his fancy in a variety of pleasant ways, but none burned as hot before, during, or after than whatever it was he felt for Ghost. The man got him excited. A blushing, giggling schoolgirl kind of thing. Sure, he wanted Ghost to cover him like a Snuggie and ride his dick into the sunset, but he also plain old liked hanging out with the lad. That was different, that was new, and Soap decided that was something worth fighting for.
The litany of “down but not out” reached a crescendo then, and it was with the sort of bravery known only by trailblazers such as Neil Armstrong and the like that Soap let his touch linger just a bit longer as he went through the motions of cleaning his ass.
He eked out a dubious little hum accompanied by a similarly-dubious grimace. Maybe it was the newness that put him off. “ Once more, man ,” he told himself, and circled his hole deliberately, this time with feeling.
“No,” he decided with a resolute shake of his head, shutting off the water before it ran completely cold. He toweled himself off, dressed, and climbed into bed, all the while mourning the failure of his little experiment. His bed pressed into his back, cold and unyielding, much unlike the delicious heat of Ghost’s body. Presumably, at least. He didn’t get to feel it, but following the path of reason, Ghost probably was a warm-blooded creature. A warm-blooded, virulent man with strong, capable hands. And those lips—god, remember those? Who knew the man was hiding such perfect lips under that mask? Soft, plush, the prettiest little pink. Soap groaned happily at the memory, rolling his hips.
Kissing them was a damn good time; imagine how they’d feel stretched around his dick. That tongue was awfully wicked, too, now that he thought about it. And he did. Oh, he did. The hard-on that had haunted him all day like some horny intermittent rain shower came back with a hot, aching vengeance. Soap palmed himself over his bedsheets and reconsidered his decision to throw in the towel.
Perhaps it wasn’t the newness that put him off. Maybe it was the himness. Or maybe it was both, but maybe just maybe Ghost was the gateway drug he needed to fully enter this exciting new world of bottoming. He wouldn’t do this for anyone, but Ghost wasn’t just anyone.
Blazing with the singular determination of a man looking to get laid, he threw the bedsheets off his body and marched to the bathroom in search of unscented face lotion. It was with the same determination that he marched back to bed and threw his body down, letting his legs splay open wide to the edges of the mattress.
He tried to remember what his partners of the past had done as he emptied a few pumps of CeraVe into his palm. It wouldn’t hurt to start with something familiar, he reasoned, use it as a way to sink into the scene. Right, okay then. Jerking off. It was something he knew well.
The lotion was nearing on body temperature by the time he spread it with shaking hands over the length of himself, twisting his grip around the head just so. Fuck, that was nice. Sure, it wasn’t in the way he’d been fantasizing about all day, but having something, anything, touching him like that was undeniably good. So good, in fact, he couldn’t help the upward buck of his hips, fucking into his hand and imagining for a split second that he was fucking into Ghost.
Pause.
That was the exact train of thought he was trying to hop off of.
Start again.
He took it slow, drawing his fist up and down his cock deliberately, pleasure burning white hot when a stroke produced the slick sound of sex. The slick sound of sex with Ghost—he could get that somehow, he would get that somehow. A groan fought its way out his chest and he thought back to the sounds Ghost made, how even hearing him breathe was like adrenaline to the heart. Like always, his thoughts went back to Ghost. This time, however, he had source material to work with. Like how his hands formed vices around his wrist, then his neck. Fuck, imagine them here,
It didn’t take long before he was painfully hard, precum hot and sloppy spilling over his fist. “Sack the fuck up,” he muttered to himself in a voice that was predictably fucking wrecked. Right hand still working his cock, he brought the middle finger of his left, drawing it slow and rhythmic over the head. He keened. Fuck, that was sensitive. Felt too fucking delicious to continue if he wanted to make this last long enough to. To fuck himself.
The concept lit a jolt of apprehension through his core. He was going to fuck himself on his own fingers, and he was doing it so he could fuck Ghost.
Ghost.
Ghost.
Just thinking of his name twisted the knot tighter, so he tested it on his tongue.
“Ghost,” he sighed, quieter than he’d like, but y’know. Thin walls. He repeated it again, coming out more as a moan this time.
It felt terribly naughty, almost like a perverted invasion of privacy. So did all of this, taking the idea of Ghost, a real human man, and using him willingly or not as a participant in fantasy. Using the fog of arousal to trick himself into believing that his hands weren’t his own, that instead, they belonged to the one person he wanted more than anything. Pass your judgments at will, but it turned him on. Severely. He’s gotten hard, gotten wet, but never like this.
At this point, he was fucking delirious with it. Maybe that’s what allowed him to draw that slick finger down, pressed the pad of it against his hole.
“Oh, fuck,” he ground out. Genuinely, truly, it was good, so very good. He stroked there in time with his fist, the dual sensations amplifying each other, leading to the conclusion of more. It made his body greedy. He begged in a tight whisper, “God, Ghost, more. Fuck. Please.”
Thoughtlessly, because he was hardly able to think, he rolled his hips against the low touch, pressing all the more insistently to take the finger in. The friction was too much. He cursed, “Damn it all.” Frenzied, he pulled away to pump lotion, falling thick and white like spill over his hand. The finger slipped in this time.
“Bleeding fucking Jesus.”
Okay, it made sense. It all made sense now. The dirty slide fucking into him, the feeling of his own slick insides, something he’d only felt in others. He wanted to give this Ghost. Wanted to see hot lust blow his pupils wide as he pistoned his fingers into the body that would only yield itself like this to him.
His forearm ached, but he couldn’t be arsed, not when his whole body was roiling with aching need, so close. And it wasn’t enough. He withdrew his middle finger just enough to add the pointer, slick them both, and bury them in his guts. All done maybe too fast, stinging on the bad side of pain, but only for a short moment. Not once did his cock soften within his grasp, disjointed and near-forgotten as his strokes were.
The sounds were incredible, so fucking filthy, and he knew this is what fucking Ghost would sound like. Half-stifled moans rolling out over panting breaths, sweat-glistening skin smacking against sweat-glistening skin. He pressed his touch up as if to drive them through the flesh his stomach and keened, “Fuck yes, Ghost. Right there. Right there, please.” He added another finger to make it ever easier to bully into that spot. It burned again, but he expected it this time and found he almost liked it.
Who was this man? Grinding his hips like a bitch in heat onto his own hand, needy, pathetic little sobs spilling down his face, merging with the tear tracks from his eyes. Soap did not know this man. Fuck that, though, he’d make friends with him because he was right there . Pressure, heat, everything soft and wet converging into an endless singularity that was seconds away from drawing in that last inch to collapse and then explode.
When it did, he was beside him—almost literally—simultaneously blacked out yet watching, feeling himself out of body writhe and weep around the ecstasy. If he screamed, it registered only half-way, plausibly a hallucination. Nothing was real, everything was nothing. Nothing was everything.
An indeterminate period of time passed as before his soul returned home, and when it did, it found him covered in sweat, panting, body still clenching around quaking fingers.
“Fuck,” Soap said around a desperate exhale. He gingerly extracted his hands, rubbing the digits together and studying their wetness.
“I need to talk to Ghost.”

She has had an interest in the unexplainable ever since and learned how to keep track of such things via the internet at a very young age. After running away from a bad home situation, finding Sideswipe, and with him finding Ironhide, she has since been adopted, for a lack of a better term, by the little Cybertronian family.

Star Trek Recovery novel part 2
The admiral, science officer and doctor direly miss each other.  💛💔💙
"The screen changed to show the bridge of the Paladin. McCoy felt the breath leave him in a gasp as an all-too familiar figure came to stand beside the captain's chair. Jim Kirk [...]. The doctor's eyes widened as he stared unbelievingly as Kirk grinned broadly at the viewscreen. [...] The sight caused a wave of homesickness to wash over him; for the first time in over a year, he realized how badly he missed his old friend, and being aboard the Enterprise. [...] "What's he doing here?" McCoy whispered, aghast. [...] For once in his life, McCoy was at complete loss for words. He watched his old mentor as she examined his stricken face and knew he didn't have to say a single word, that she knew and understood everything. Her dark eyes softened with sympathy. "I didn't realize things were that way between you. I'm sorry Leonard [...]." He couldn't answer her, so merely swallowed and turned away, unable to keep his eyes off of Kirk's amiable, relaxed visage. No wonder why you're smiling Jim. He thought bitterly. Being on a bridge was the only thing that ever made you happy... [...] Then McCoy blinked incredulously as he realized that a Vulcan sat at the science station, and fought back a dizzying rush of déjà vu. "
"McCoy forced his gaze away from Kirk's face."
"Then Jim turned to speak to the Vulcan behind him, and that simple act brought back too many memories for the doctor. There seemed no point in suffering through any more auld-lang-syne fantasies; McCoy rose and headed for the rear exit [...]."
"How Spock would have agreed."
"The Enterprise had been nearly torn apart that day. If it hadn't been for Spock..."
""Excuse me." McCoy angrily said. [...] "But to paraphrase a former associate of mine, you're not being very logical!""
"McCoy could almost hear Spock coming up with an accurate estimate of where [...] and when they would get there, without ever using the computer. But then Spock wasn't with Jim, was he? How did they ever come to this, scattered to the solar winds? The thought intensified his sense of bitter loss."
"Spock woke abruptly [...]. For a fleeting instant, an image from a dream glimmered in the darkness before him. It was Dr McCoy, standing upon the deck of an unfamiliar ship, his pale blue eyes wide with fear. This is Leonard McCoy. We need help. Help us, Spock... So urgent, so convincing [...] Spock was catapulted into consciousness; he drew a deep, calming breath and dissolved the impulse to rise, to rush to McCoy's aid. [...] It was a dream, no more. Yet the sense that McCoy was in danger did not ease. He had struggled the previous evening to rid himself of the sense that Kirk was in danger. Yet the feeling persisted [...]. Now, this overwhelming sense that McCoy too was in danger... [...] His image triggered another; one from Spock's recent memory, that of Jim Kirk trapped in an interstitial rift, floating ghostlike in his spacesuit on the Enterprise bridge. [...] The memory had evoked such strong emotion he was unwilling to sit still. [...] He had been unable to accept his friend's death. Indeed he had felt, with the inexplicable, irrational certainty of intuition, that Jim was still alive. Perhaps it had been a bond formed by friendship [...], perhaps it was something far more human. [...] Whatever the sensation's cause, Spock experienced the same certainty that now both Jim and McCoy, were in mortal danger."
"McCoy hadn't allowed himself to think of the Enterprise or his former crewmates in months; now everything conspired to remind him of them. The feeling of camaraderie he felt towards Riley [...] evoked fond yet painful memories of Jim and Spock. How many times had the three of them battled impossible odds in impossible situations and won?"
"The doctor hesitated as he tried to imagine what Jim and Spock might do."
I swear, that novel screams "Spones rights!" a thousand times louder than The Lost Years, and it already is a die-hard Spones relics.
""If Spock was there..." McCoy faltered for a moment, remembering the last time he'd seen the Vulcan. [...] “We shall not see each other again, Leonard McCoy. Live long and prosper."
"For a moment, the image of the Vulcan staring at his viewscreen [...] filled McCoy's mind. You know what it is, don't you Spock? If only you could help us now... McCoy brushed his fingertips reverently over the strange scrawl, as though by touching it, he could reach across time and space to Spock. And for an instant, no more, it seemed to McCoy that it was not a painfully young human that sat beside him, but his Vulcan friend. He could almost hear Spock's voice. [...] Then he looked down to see Josiah gazing curiously at him. He shook his head to clear it."
“As though by touching it, he could reach across time and space to Spock.”
Isn't this the mushiest, most clichèdly romantic syrup?? But the best is that it is followed further by THIS:
"Soon, Spock no longer stood [...] in a sanctuary [...] but instead sat in the captain's chair aboard the Enterprise. [...] A fresh image overlaid the other: the moment when he had turned to McCoy and said "[...] Forget it, Bones." And McCoy falling into his arms. Into his arms... Sekhet and Gol were forgotten; Spock could see the doctor before him, feel his cool human flesh in his hands. It was as though he had reached across time and space to physically touch his friend."
apqizfvbjnkqbkvnkkq!! I can't- TAT
I mean, they hadn't even shared Spock's katra yet at that time! And they already could touch each other despite being countless light-years apart?? You know what it means: the power of love. ♥
What’s MORE, the novel is mostly inspired from the most Spones and most Mcspirk episode of all: The Tholian Web.
"Jim stared, once more startled by the image of his oldest and best friend staring at his from the Paladin's viewscreen. [...] McCoy seemed to look straight at his old friend with his piercing sky-blue eyes. Kirk's gaze never left the screen. "Can he hear me? See me?" -"No, sir." Diksen said behind him, her tone regretful. [...] -"Once we get over there... "McCoy's expression warmed, and his tone grew faintly apologetic. "I figured you and I can share a little Saurian brandy and talk over some things. I'm... looking forward to that."
Jim, Jim, Jim... you really are obsessed with Bones-chan's beautiful blue eyes in this book-series. ;) First in The Lost Years, explicitely verbalizing it to your fav doctor, and now in there.

Upcoming Movies in September 2020: Theaters, Streaming, and VOD
https://ift.tt/2CUVT60
Movies are back! Granted they never really left either, with Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, and others keeping us satiated with content these past five months. Still, the streamers are about to be reinforced for those willing to return to movie theaters: Major Hollywood blockbuster releases are coming, and limited rollouts are slowly making their way back into cinemas around the world.
For that reason, we’ve assembled a list of potential moviegoing experiences in September, whether on the big screen (please consider the risks of attending a theatrical screening) or at home via video on demand. It’s time for the popcorn to get popping.
Bill & Ted Face the Music
Now playing in theaters and VOD in the US (September 23 in the UK)
One of the biggest movies yet to eschew its intended theatrical window for a premium video on demand (PVOD) release is this most excellent adventure. It’s been 29 years since we last saw Alex Winter’s far out Ted or Keanu Reeves’ perpetually astonished Bill, yet it’s good to have both back in their legendary stoner roles.
The fact they’re middle-aged and still having adventures through time and space, and against the visage of Death—he’s still cheating!—is pretty sweet. As is Keanu coming back to this role one Speed, three Matrixes, and nearly five John Wick chapters later. But this time they’ve got daughters (played by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine)… but rest assured, the children are as amused as their dads.
Tenet
Now playing in the UK (September 3 in the US)
Already playing in the UK, Tenet will be making its much vaunted North American debut in “select U.S. cities” in September. We’re still not entirely clear what that will look like, but hopefully it will be worth it for this mysterious and visually dazzling Christopher Nolan epic.
Early reviews are in, and the majority promise Nolan’s most exciting use of IMAX spectacle to date, though even without spoilers, this one might be too big for its own good. Our own Rosie Fletcher describes it as Nolan’s long-whispered about James Bond movie meets Doctor Who…
The New Mutants
Now playing in the U.S. (September 4 UK)
Josh Boone’s journey into the X-Men universe has been pushed back so many times it almost feels like a mythical lost movie. So when it finally arrives in UK cinemas on Sept. 4 (it landed in the U.S. at the end of August) it might feel like a bizarre flashback to another era – namely that of 2017 when the main shoot took place.
Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Blu Hunt, and Henry Zaga star as five young mutants held in a sinister facility against their will. It’s been positioned as an action horror which in theory sounds pretty cool, though what the final cut will look like is anyone’s guess.
Mulan
September 4 (Disney+ with premium)
One day after Tenet makes its U.S. debut, Disney, and more specifically Disney+, offers a starkly different vision for the future of cinema with Mulan. Whereas Tenet will attempt to jumpstart moviegoing, Disney has pushed one of their biggest 2020 blockbusters exclusively to streaming in all markets featuring Disney+, including the U.S. and UK. That means if you want to see Niki Caro’s anticipated reimagining of the 1998 animated Disney movie, you are going to have to pay $30 on top of your Disney+ subscription to get a load of this bad boy on a new PVOD model.

Even so, the film’s need to step away from the 1998 version’s iconography—Chinese moviegoers generally dislike musicals—appears to offer an opportunity to make a modern 2020 epic that can stand on its own two feet.
I’m Thinking of Ending Things
September 4 (Netflix)
Charlie Kaufman does horror? Well, uh, maybe?! For his first Netflix original production, the idiosyncratic writer-director behind Synecdoche, New York, and the Being John Malkovich screenplay is adapting Iain Reid’s thriller novel, I’m Thinking of Ending Things. But Kaufman is expected to come at it from his singularly off-center perspective.
With a somber setup about a young woman (played by Wild Rose’s talented Jessie Buckley) going to meet the parents of her boyfriend (Jesse Plemons), the movie is actually about an unhappy lover planning to terminate her relationship. Yet when she meets Mom and Dad (Toni Collette and David Thewlis), things are going to get weirder, if not necessarily better for the relationship…
The Roads Not Taken
September 11 (UK)
Sally Potter’s wistful drama was nominated for the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival earlier in the year before the world went into lockdown. It follows Leo (Javier Bardem), a man with dementia, as he imagines different paths in life he might have taken, while his daughter Mollie tries to help him keep various appointments and struggles with decisions about her own future. A very personal study of mental illness, grief, and regret.
The Devil All the Time
September 16 (Netflix)
Southern fried noir might be the creepiest noir. With its rural and sunny backdrops, and a smiling Christian face, its pleasantries belie an evil heart. And Tom Holland of all people will be driving right to the dark center of it in The Devil All the Time, a new thriller by writer-director Antonio Campos.
Ready to bow on Netflix this month, the all-star cast, which also includes Bill Skarsgård, Riley Keough, Sebastian Stan, and Robert Pattinson, as a fire and brimstone preacher no less, The Devil All the Time reimagines post-WWII Tennessee backwoods as a hotbed of corruption, hypocrisy, and murder. Sounds about right.
Antebellum
September 18 (U.S. Only)
Co-writers and directors Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz appear to have cracked the code in making one of fiction’s favorite fantasies terrifying. You know the type: From Mark Twain’s A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court to Midnight in Paris, some congenial fellow travels back to a point in history he loves and has an all-around splendid time. Now imagine that same scenario except the protagonist is a Black woman. And she’s sent to the Antebellum South on the eve of the Civil War. Scared yet?
It’s a disturbing premise that aims to put Antebellum in the same wheelhouse as recent horror movies that have tackled American racism head on, including Jordan Peele’s Get Out and Us. The movie stars the ever compelling Janelle Monáe as a 21st century author trapped inside a 19th century nightmare, and it’s one of the most intriguing setups of the year. It also will be available on VOD and in select theaters.
The King’s Man
September 18 (September 16 in the UK)
Kingsman: The Secret Service was one of the nicer surprises of 2015. A better Bond movie than that year’s Bond film, this Matthew Vaughn directed and Jane Goldman co-written spy adventure was both a satire and loving homage to 007 movies of the 1960s and ‘70s, with excessive swagger and style to boot. Unfortunately, Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) didn’t live up to its predecessor. It did, however, make enough money to spawn a prequel. Which brings us to The King’s Man.
As Disney/20th Century Studios’ latest release, this movie sees Vaughn return to the director’s chair as he travels back in time to World War I and the origins of the Kingsman secret service. With the same daffy style but now in period garb (it worked for Vaughn in X-Men: First Class), the prequel hopes to recapture the charm of the original. It certainly has a winning cast that includes Ralph Fiennes, Daniel Bruhl, Djimon Hounsou, and Gemma Arterton.
Kajillionaire
September 18 (October 9 in the UK)
One of the happy discoveries out of this year’s Sundance Film Festival, Focus Features’ Kajillionaire is a movie we’ve had our eye on for a while. The picture is writer-director Miranda July’s pleasant vision of criminality and heists being the stuff of family team-building. Take Evan Rachel Wood as Old Dolio. She’s an adult daughter whose depression has forced her to live at home with her small time crook parents. But Mom and Pop (Debra Winger and Richard Jenkins) have a plan; they’ll incorporate their daughter in the next heist and bring her out of her funk. It’s a charming premise that won over almost every critic who saw it back in January.
The Nest
September 18 (U.S. Only)
Another apparent highlight out of Sundance this year, Sean Durkin’s The Nest presents itself as a foreboding drama. As the follow-up feature from the director of Martha Marcy May Marlene, the film intends to be an unsettling account of a wealthy marriage descending into Gaslight levels of manipulation. With Jude Law as the rich patriarch and Carrie Coon as his quietly suffering wife, a sudden move to the country reveals dark dimensions to their relationship and the brittleness of domesticity. If the buzz is to be believed, the wound up WASPy tension in this could strangle an elephant.
Enola Holmes
September 23 (Netflix)
Did you know Sherlock Holmes had a little sister? You’re about to thanks to some strong synergetic mojo going on at Netflix with Enola Holmes, a new mystery/adventure that stars The Witcher’s Henry Cavill as Sherlock, The Crown’s Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Holmes, and Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown as the eponymous Enola. That’s right, Eleven’s going to use her own English accent and play Sherlock’s kid sister.
Often kept in her famous brother’s shadow, it is up to Enola to do him one better when she sets off to find their mysteriously vanished mother. In the process, she proves she’s a super-sleuth in her own right and brings to light a deadly conspiracy. The game’s afoot!
Misbehaviour
September 25 (Open in the UK)
A crowd-pleaser that debuted earlier in the year in the UK, Misbehaviour has all the markers of a charming dramedy with real world ramifications. In fact, it’s set during the events of the Miss World competition in 1970, a televised beauty pageant in London that was then the most-watched event on the planet. In this context, the Women’s Liberation Movement reached international acclaim by disrupting the proceedings, and a Woman of Color from Grenada became a contender for the Miss World title.
Director Philippa Lowthorpe (The Crown) reportedly explores these events to winning results with an ensemble of players that Keira Knightley and Jessie Buckley as lead activists, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Jennifer Hosten (aka Miss Grenada), and Greg Kinnear at his greasiest as an aging Bob Hope.
Greenland
September 25 (U.S. Only)
Imagine this: A comet that is supposed to gently pass Earth by was misjudged by the science community, and instead a cataclysmic extinction level event occurs with comet fragments destroying parts of the world one action scene at a time! Yeah, in 2020 that sounds about right. It’s also the plot of Greenland, a new high-concept survivalist action movie starring Gerard Butler as a family man who, realizing Florida is gone and his home state is next, tries to save his wife (Morena Baccarin) and child by getting his family to the last place that may be spared: military bunkers in Greenland!
And you thought U.S. leadership was being ridiculous when it tried to buy the country a few years ago…

Tale As Old As Time: Prologue
Blame @sherlollysmooch. Dedicated to everyone who’s ever wanted to turn John Watson into a candlestick.
Once upon a time there lived a prince, at once both terrifying and beautiful in his brilliance. Rumors spread amongst his subjects of his extraordinary ability to deduce all a person’s secrets with nary more than a single glance.
Prince Sherlock (for of course, a man with such astonishing talents would have a name equally as extraordinary) spent most of his days locked away in his laboratory, preferring the solitude his experiments offered to the mindless chatter of those he found inferior.
Indeed, his only companions were a select group who had known the prince for most of his twenty-two years, who understood the idiosyncrasies of their employer and when it was best to leave him be.
The household was run by Sherlock’s older brother, who had relinquished his claim to the throne in favor of a role behind the scenes in which he felt more comfortable. Mycroft could always be found hovering around his brother, one eye always on his watch to ensure that they were never behind schedule.
Sherlock’s closest friend (although the prince would never deign to call him such) was his bouteiller John, a man a few years Sherlock’s senior. His family had served Sherlock’s for generations, and the two boys had grown up together in the Holmes family’s vast palace.
The castle’s other inhabitants often wondered about John’s strange bond with the enigmatic Sherlock, for surely there could be no two men more dissimilar in both appearance and personality. Whereas Sherlock was dark-haired and temperamental, John was fair and personable. He could often be found flirting with the maids (although a particular blonde beauty named Mary seemed to hold his attention with increasing regularity).
Sherlock would have preferred to stay locked in his castle with only his servants indefinitely; however, the demands of his position required him to mingle with common citizens more frequently than he liked. He often held elaborate balls at his palace, where the most stunning and powerful of his subjects could interact with him in the hopes of influencing his opinion. The prince would listen to them drone on, silently cataloguing every little detail about them and trying not to roll his eyes at their inanity.
It was on one such occasion that Sherlock’s life, and the lives of all his servants, would be irrevocably changed.
XXXXX
The evening was winding down, and Sherlock’s patience was waning. He was currently engaged in conversation with Lady Katherine Riley (well, she was engaged in conversation; he was merely pretending to pay attention). Lady Katherine was an acquaintance of the guest of honor, renowned opera singer Janine de Garderobe, and had been invited to the party based on that association alone. Even Janine’s husband, court composer Maestro Lestrade, found the woman irritating beyond compare.
Lady Katherine’s diatribe on the horrid manners exhibited by those in the lower classes was cut short when they were interrupted. Wiggins, one of Sherlock’s footmen, murmured something to the prince that had the latter man rushing off without even excusing himself from the lady’s presence. Wiggins winked at her before following his master. Lady Katherine’s shocked gasp at the indecency was drowned out by the din of the crowded ballroom.
Sherlock paid the affronted woman no further heed as his mind was suddenly preoccupied with a much more interesting conundrum. A thief had been caught attempting to steal food from the kitchen downstairs, and was currently being detained in the front hall.
When he arrived in the hall, his eyes scanned over a small, unremarkable old woman. Her greasy hair had seen better days, and hung around her shriveled face in lifeless curls. He was taken aback for a moment; surely someone daring enough to steal from a prince would be more noteworthy than this graying, wizened slip of a creature. She trembled under the watchful gazes of his guards and stared resolutely at the floor beneath her feet.
He cleared his throat, and the woman’s head shot up. Her eyes widened when she saw him standing over her; she knelt in front of him, gripping the ends of his coat in her grimy hands.
“Please, sire, have mercy!” she wept. “Would you spare a loaf of bread for a starving old woman? I can offer you this rose as compensation.”
She held out the blood-red flower.
The prince stared at her for a moment. Perhaps it was because he had just spent countless hours biting his tongue, or maybe it was because he wanted to show off for the crowd that had amassed behind him as partygoers learned of the disturbance in the hall. Whichever it was, he began deducing the woman, detailing every one of her secrets for all to hear.
His observations were cruel and senseless. The protestations of the thief went ignored as he continued to taunt her, laughing as his remarks became increasingly personal and unkind. The tittering of the crowd urged him on.
He did not spare the woman another glance until he noticed something odd about her countenance. Where before her expression had been helpless and downtrodden, she now appeared furious. The lines on her face smoothed themselves out. Her hair straightened and lengthened. She stood up, the cane she had been holding forgotten by her side.
Sherlock took a step back and stared in horror as she transformed into an enchantress right before his eyes. Realizing his mistake, he tried to apologize for his earlier actions, but the damage had already been done.
The Enchantress smirked as she looked down upon the prince.
“Your arrogance is your undoing,” she whispered, but everyone in attendance understood as though she had spoken directly into their ears. “You have no compassion or love in your heart.”
Frightened villagers rushed out of the castle, though the prince and his servants remained frozen in fear and shame.
The Enchantress cursed the prince and changed him into a monstrous beast. The visages of his servants were altered as well, their punishment for standing idly by as their master humiliated a defenseless woman. All memory of them was removed from the minds of those they held dear. An never-ending winter plagued the palace and it’s grounds, a reflection of its master’s icy heart.
Before she disappeared, The Enchantress gave the prince the rejected red rose as a gift. If he could learn to love another before the last petal fell, and that person loved him in return, he and his servants would be returned to their human forms. But if he failed, they would remain in their cursed forms forevermore.
What do you think? I’ll probably post on AO3 tomorrow sometime! Sorry for no Molly yet.

This post is a wip!
Riley is a ‘semi OC’ based off of the little girl character in Transformers (2007) that saw Ironhide climb out of her family’s pool after the weaponsmith crash-landed. She has had an interest in the unexplainable ever since and learned how to keep track of such things via the internet at a very young age. After running away from a bad home situation, finding Sideswipe, and with him finding Ironhide, she has since been adopted, for a lack of a better term, by the little Cybertronian family.
