Mastering Language Models: AI Conversation Building Block
Tumblr media
What are language Models?
One kind of machine learning model that has been taught to perform a probability distribution over words is called a language models. In short, a model uses the context of the provided text to forecast the next best word to fill in a blank space in a sentence or phrase.
Since language models enable computers to comprehend, produce, and analyze human language, they are an essential part of natural language processing (NLP). A large text dataset, such a library of books or articles, is mostly used to train them. The next word in a phrase or the creation of fresh, grammatically and semantically coherent material are then predicted by models using the patterns they have learned from this training data.
The Capabilities of language models
Have you ever noticed how the Microsoft SwiftKey and Google Gboard keyboards have clever capabilities that automatically suggest whole phrases while you’re composing text messages? Among the many applications of language models is this one.
Many NLP activities, including text summarization, machine translation, and voice recognition, require it.
Creation of content: Content creation is one of the domains where language models excel. This involves using the information and terms supplied by people to generate whole texts or portions of them. Press releases, blog entries, product descriptions for online stores, poetry, and guitar tabs are just a few examples of the kind of content that may be found there.
POS (part-of-speech) labeling: World-class POS tagging performance is achieved by extensive use of this model. POS tagging assigns a noun, verb, adjective, or other part of speech to each document word. The models can estimate a word’s POS based on its context and the words that surround it in a phrase since they have been trained on vast volumes of annotated text data.
Addressing questions: It is possible to train language models to comprehend and respond to queries both with and without the provided context. They may respond in a variety of ways, such by selecting from a list of possibilities, paraphrasing the response, or extracting certain words.
Summary of a text: Documents, articles, podcasts, movies, and more may all be automatically condensed into their most essential chunks using language models. Models may be used to either summarize the material without using the original language or to extract the most significant information from the original text.
Examination of sentiment: Because it can capture the tone of voice and semantic orientation of texts, the language modeling technique is a strong choice for sentiment analysis applications.
AI that can converse: Voice-enabled apps that need to translate voice to text and voice versa inevitably include language models. This may respond to inputs with relevant text as part of conversational AI systems.
Translation by machine: Machine translation has been improved by ML-powered language models’ capacity to generalize well to lengthy contexts. It may learn the representations of input and output sequences and provide reliable results rather than translating text word for word.
Finishing the code: The capacity of recent large-scale language models to produce, modify, and explain code has been outstanding. They can only, however, translate instructions into code and verify it for mistakes to finish basic programming jobs.
Key aspects of language models
1. Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Language models use NLP approaches to analyze human language and extract meaningful components from words, phrases, and paragraphs.
2. Training
The models are trained on large datasets of text sources such as books, webpages, papers, and more. Training helps them anticipate the next word in a phrase and write like humans by teaching grammar, context, and word connections.
3. Deep Learning
Most recent language models, such as GPT and BERT, rely on deep learning, particularly transformer topologies, to effectively interpret language patterns. Transformers are effective at addressing long-term text dependencies.
4. Applications
It may be used for different activities, such as:
Text creation: Writing tales, poetry, and essays.
Translation: Language translation.
Natural discussion with chatbots.
Summarization: Shortening lengthy articles.
Answering questions with knowledge.
5. Examples
Famous language models include:
GPT-3 by OpenAI generates human-like writing and powers AI apps.
BERT by Google: Useful for search and sentiment analysis, optimized for linguistic context.
The Text-to-Text Transfer Transformer (T5) treats all NLP issues as text production problems and is used for many purposes.
It can allow robots to read, write, and speak like humans.
The Future of language models
Historically, AI business applications concentrated on predictive activities including forecasting, fraud detection, click-through rates, conversions, and low-skill job automation. These restricted uses took great effort to execute and interpret, and were only practical at large scale. However, massive language models altered this.
Large language models like GPT-3 and generative models like Midjouney and DALL-E are transforming the sector, and AI will likely touch practically every part of business in the next years.
Top language model trends are listed below.
Scale and intricacy: The quantity of data and parameters learned on language models will certainly scale.
Multimodality: Integration of language models with visuals, video, and music is intended to enhance their worldview and allow new applications.
Explaining and showing: With more AI in decision-making, ML models must be explainable and transparent. Researchers are trying to make language models more understandable and explain their predictions.
Conversation: It will be utilized increasingly in chatbots, virtual assistants, and customer service to interpret and react to user inputs more naturally.
Language models are projected to improve and be utilized in more applications across fields.

Disability Services and Support
Organizations that provide disability services and support organization can help people with disabilities live independently. They can also help them find jobs and develop relationships in their community. These organizations offer low-cost or free resources and guidance.
AHEAD is the professional membership association for individuals who make policy and/or coordinate disability services at degree-granting institutions of higher education. It disseminates knowledge, provides consultation and training, and promotes equity for students with disabilities in postsecondary education.
Learning Ally
Students with disabilities often face a variety of challenges when it comes to reading. However, many organizations and services are available to help them succeed. Learning Ally, for example, provides audio books to students with visual impairments and dyslexia. They also offer a wide range of professional development programs and resources for teachers.
The organization was founded in 1948 and is a national non-profit that serves the print disabled community in the US. Its library of accessible formats includes textbooks and fiction. Its audiobooks are read by real human readers, and they have VOICEtext, which highlights synchronized text to accompany the human voice.
Students can sign up for Learning Ally through their college or university. They must provide documentation to show that they have a disability and can’t read standard print. Once the document is verified, they can access the book in the AccessText Network. The organization also has a partnership with the publisher Bookshare, which offers digital accessible books for students.
Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA)
Since its beginning in 1963, LDA has provided support to people with learning disabilities, their parents and teachers at national, state and local levels. This support comes in the form of cutting edge information on learning disabilities, practical solutions and a comprehensive network of resources.
Parent Support - LDA knows that the initial discovery of a learning disability can leave parents feeling overwhelmed, confused and discouraged. LDA affiliates work with parents to help them navigate the maze of schools, services and professionals.
LDA also promotes education on learning disabilities and assists parents in developing effective parenting skills to nurture their children's talents and to address their challenges. LDA also provides advocacy at the state and local level.
LDA hosts an annual international conference, workshops and symposiums that attract tens of thousands of participants each year from parents and teachers. It publishes a professional journal and offers membership and individual services. Local and state LDA affiliates also organize seminars and meetings.
National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS)
The National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS) represents the nation’s agencies in 50 states and the District of Columbia providing services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. NASDDDS promotes visionary leadership, systems innovation, and the development of national policies that support home and community-based services for individuals with disabilities.
Thom DeLilla has worked for the past 11 years in the disability field focusing on program planning and policy development, including developing and overseeing a person-centered funding model, as well as implementing a state-wide Medicaid HCBS waiver focusing on consumer self-direction. He is a member of the New York State Self Advocacy Association and an AmeriCorps*VISTA, giving presentations on disability awareness and outcomes.
The American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) is the oldest and largest interdisciplinary professional organization concerned with intellectual and developmental disabilities. AAIDD publishes peer-reviewed journals and books, holds conferences and meetings, and conducts research.
New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)
The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities is responsible for coordinating services to 126,000 New Yorkers who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. These disabilities include cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and autism spectrum disorders. The agency is funded by Medicaid and operates a network of voluntary service providers. The agency also conducts research on the causes of and prevention of developmental disabilities.
OPWDD offers many different services and supports to help individuals live their best life. These can include respite care, adult day programs, home and community based services, behavioral support, and residential services. It also provides funding for specialized equipment and support groups.
OPWDD has 13 district offices called Developmental Disabilities Service Offices (DDSO) that serve people with developmental disabilities throughout the state. Contacting the DDSO in your area is the first step to receiving the services you need. To find your local DDSO, visit OPWDD’s website and enter your address or zip code. You will be given a list of OPWDD service providers in your area.

It's an odd thing, to regret the very words you speak, even as they leave your mouth. It isn't the first time Hughie's experienced it and he finds the awful hot feeling flushing over him as he confesses to murder, the sinking realisation that he has fucked up entirely. Homelander calls it an accomplishment, but there is danger in every single utterance and Hughie is convinced that he has made things exponentially worse.
Hughie doesn't know what Homelander's disappointment looks like, and he's not sure if that would be worse than whatever emotion he's currently experiencing. Hughie can't figure it out for the life of him and the visceral fear that's pumping out of his heart where blood used to flow isn't helping his ability to think.
Homelander's already rapt attention morphs into something even more intense. He begins to circle him and it might have been comical if he wasn't so deadly serious. Hughie doesn't move. He's barely daring to breathe and it becomes significantly more difficult when Homelander starts talking about the body he found. He stops behind him and Hughie wants to turn around, he wants to know if Homelander's eyes are burning red, if he's about to blow off his head and is sparing him the terror of watching it happen.
Hughie is fully expecting violence; instead, he gets a gentle touch. It makes him jump, an embarrassingly violent flinch. He's overcome with the desperate urge to snatch his hand away, but he doesn't dare. He holds his breath as Homelander presses his thumb between his knuckles, waiting for him to push his thumb all the way through because it would truly be that easy to cripple him.
He doesn't expect Homelander to muse aloud about Hughie having powers and he realises before he says as much that he's testing to see if claws will shoot out from between his knuckles. He can't help but agree, it would absolutely be hysterical and he isn't the type.
Hughie's hand is let go and he isn't given the opportunity to fully experience the relief that evokes. As soon as it's free, Homelander's hands rest heavily on Hughie's shoulders. Squeezing. Fingertips prodding into flesh. Breathing comes entirely to a halt. Homelander's voice is s quiet, but Hughie hears every single word and it is all drowned scarcely contained hatred.
A member of my family god, he is dead, he is so fucking dead, he murdered Homelander's family, he is absolutely about to be fucking murdered. He squeezes his eyes shut, quivering hands curled into fists by his sides. Every muscle in his body tenses when Homelander’s hands squeeze, gripping tighter into his shoulders. It takes him a moment before he can speak, he’s so absolutely certain that he’s going to be murdered any second.
Hughie swallows, tries to breathe and then he begins.
“I guess it was kind of a team effort. I-I didn’t figure out how to kill him, I was just… I just pulled the trigger. Uh, I um-“
Hughie tried rolling his shoulders back, desperate to shrug off those hands. “I figured out that y-you could knock him out with electricity. I-I saw it on Jimmy Fallon his skin’s carbon, it-its highly conductive. We couldn’t- we couldn’t get through it though, his skin, so we… we um…”
Hughie grimaced. If he wasn’t going to die before, he certainly would now. “It was only his skin that was carbon, his insides weren’t so- so- so we shoved a bomb up his ass." Hughie explained in a babbled rush. "And… and when he… got out… I… I flicked the switch. I killed him.”
Homelander doesn't expect real answers.
The more Hugh talks, though, the more his curiosity rises. Blackmail is boring, and he's more than aware of Hugh's presence in the Tower, but all this talk about Popclaw, about Compound V, about--
"Oh?"
--killing Translucent...
"Now that's an accomplishment."
There's a strange feeling in his chest-- something close to betrayal, perhaps, but without nearly as much emotional distress. All this time he'd thought it was William who killed Translucent, considering the games that man liked to play, and he's not sure yet if he's impressed or disappointed that it was this little boy that did it.
"I found his body," he says, circling Hugh as he evaluates him from head to toe. "Or what was left of it, anyway."
Homelander stops once he's stood behind him, and with a gentle touch he takes Hugh's right hand to brush his thumb down the back of his palm.
"He was in pieces, Hugh. And though a part of me thinks it would be hysterical if it turned out you had powers" -- his thumb digs gently in the space between Hugh's index and middle knuckles -- "you don't seem the type for it.
"There's no way you have claws. And if you could just make things explode with your mind, well, I'm sure this'd be a much bloodier meeting."
It frustrates him that he has to levitate an inch off the ground to do it, but Homelander's hands take both Hugh's shoulders to give them a squeeze.
"So tell me how you did it," he murmurs. "Tell me how you killed a member of my family-- how you turned him to a fucking pile of mush with your nervous little twitches and your sweaty fucking hands.
"And spare no details." The squeeze gets tighter. "I want to hear everything."

Lana imagine Joseph is in another country to film and you couldn’t join him because of your work. he messages you if you are awake (it’s midnight in your timezone and early in the morning in his timezone) you still awake so you answer him, he immediately sends you a picture of his morning erecting. You were a little horny yourself so you’ve send him a voicetext where you moan his name with little groans followed by a few texts you are touching yourself thinking about him. He respons to the texts, asking where you are touching yourself and when you tell him you are about to cum he facetimes you because “i wanna see your face when you’re cumming while I say some filthy things to you”
Ellen 😵‍💫
These are his favourite little surprises, he loves to know what you’re up too even if it is the early hours of the morning. If you’ve got something to tell him generally that happened throughout your day that you forgot to mention, he wants to know about it. If you’re feeling a bit lovey dovey, he wants to hear that romantic rambling. If you’re a horny mess and all you need is him, you bet your bottom dollar he’ll be assisting you in every way he can - purely because you’ll have him touching himself at the first signal.
You know the moment that he FaceTimes you that you’re a goner. That the second the camera comes into play and your lips are parted and the moaning echos from his phone that you’re putty in his hands. His low gravelly tone of voice and the squelching noises you can hear that is evidently is fist working his length, messy and sodden from a mix of his own salvia and precum. He’s wishing deeply that it was your walls clenched around it, especially after you move the camera down to show your own two fingers fucking into your hole.
Joe’s breathless by this point but is finding it somewhere in him to tell you that you’re his good girl, that he wishes he could be the one making you feel good and that he has no choice but to watch your slick seep out of your cunt until you’re finished. The minute you reach your climax, Joe’s moaning your name right back at you the way you were previously squealing his, singing it in the highest of praises in fact; especially when he cums hard over watching you do the same.
The smile you receive afterwards is uncanny, it’s both beautiful yet thankful. An unspoken fact from the rosy dimples in his cheeks and the panting from his breath that he’s missing you and that he needed this filthy and somewhat extremely intimate moment to start his day right.

new fun pasttime ive discovered: when friends text me to "say hello to lucy" for them, i directly start recording a voicetext and say to the cat "lucy, [name] says hello to you. would you like to say something back?" and then offer her the phone like a microphone that she at best sniffs at, at worst doesn't even open her eyes for for an appropriate amount of time and then take it back to me to answer my own question "no <3" and end it there >:) idk it's so stupid and silly but it still gives me great joy :')

Google Translate for Speech-to-text
Use Google translate for speech to text
https://youtu.be/aLXMr4Qs_Qg Google translate provides a great speech-to-text functionality that I think you will find to be a writing game-changer. In a previous blog post, I wrote about how to be able to voice text information. Well, here you will see me using my phone, and Google Translate in action. I made this quick little video to show you just how simple it is to get what’s in your head out into a written format. I can’t even begin to tell you what a game-changer it has been.
Google Translate isn't the only Speech-to-Text
You can use Siri, your computer, or other speech-to-text options, however, I’ve found that Google’s transcription algorithm best transcribes my speech. The speech to text technology is insane at this point with so many devices such as Alexa, google home, and other smart voice technologies in place. What is even crazier is the text to text-to-speech technology that is becoming more and more popular. That is why companies such as Amazon have created services such as Amazon Polly to allow individuals for a meager cost convert written text into actual speech! Now that is another blog post all in its self!

The more we meet with clients the less we work.  Simply use our scheduling link and choose either phone or virtual meeting. If you choose virtual meeting we use Zoom to meet with clients. Why Zoom? Because it works with all smart-phones and is web based which means no need to download crazy software or install anything on your computer. WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT MEETING WITH ANYONE FACE-TO-FACE. ALL MEETINGS ARE DONE VIRTUALLY In person meetings are harder for us however, there are always times where we will need to meet in person. Initial consultations will not be held in person. However, once we have been hired for a job and need to be on location we will be more than happy to come to you. If you are wanting to meet in person for project updates (that have been bid into the job) we ask that you come to us. That way we can ensure internet connection & software availablity incase we need to show you things. On location meetings will be scheduled by us if need to capture footage or things needed for your project. Our physical address will appear once you schedule an appointment.
