Introducing: My Basiliadean Headcanons II
Ok... this is part II of my overthinking... (part I) it is so long, it is only for the strong with the brainrot
I gave some issues too much thought when writing my fics
5. Basiliade and romantic love This is quite an issue, when you dive into Basiliade for the ships lol.. so I thought about it damn lot So.. we see Orube is surprised at the huge role of romantic love in the lives of Earthlings.
Tumblr media
We also know that Basiliade, at least in elite classes, is quite a strict society based on firm hierarchies, not very prone to attachment – as is seen in the memory of Orube's father (the guy is hot tho)
Tumblr media
although the society might clearly favour other kinds of attachment and love – like that between master and apprentice (and Orube is also surprised the girls seem to put love before friendship sometimes). It is possible that romantic love is just not as important in the society - even on Earth it had a lesser role at times, than the extreme one it has now in the Western media. It can also be looked down upon, as drawing a person from more important spheres of life. When I wrote H/Y, I presumed their relationship would be secret - I joked on everyone actually having an inkling in the Garden, cause I thought the reality of such society is always different than the ideal - but generally I kept love as something you are not open about. Of course, H/Y are two males, so it might have appeared as an issue of homophobia - as it is common to presume homophobic tendencies for any made up world. My reasons for their secrecy and restraint were actually more complex, but I regrettably might not have made it very clear - although I have some, eh, WIPs mentioning hetero relations of warriors as problematic, too. Still, to add some self-reflection, I suppose including the secrecy might’ve felt natural to me, because I have the homophobic trope internalized like most people. But my reasons were 1) The society viewed as strict, non-individualistic and focusing on other spheres. Basiliade comes from the comics’s orientalistic tropes, so I think it is based on these classic patterns emphasized in Western portrayal of the Far East. Still, I keep thinking of a 17th century Chinese play that I have seen years ago, a story of two lovers divided by dramatic events and seeking each other - then meeting with all the drama, then a monk tells them their love means nothing - and they realize she is right and stop feeling the love. As a then ca. 15 yo European, I was shocked. Still I felt like - oh, yeah, the Far East, classic - bc I am a Westerner, like the authors of the comics. 2) Warrior lifestyle - I see masters as an icon of the strict society - they live for a task and they subordinate their personal desires to it. Note e.g. the hints of Orube's difficult and humbling training, her painful parting from her family, which refuses to acknowledge her pain, Yarr's self-diminishing after an apparent mistake etc. I mean, there's this:
Tumblr media
but I think this refers to a bit of a different level - keeping your values, your identity, but not being self-centered. In a fic I also followed Orube's unfamiliarity with love and made Yarr a bit confused about his crush, although now I think that at his age (ca. 39 then), he might have had a better idea... but I also made it specific to his warrior life, that he is just not used to love, although he does know it from theatre - cause I think it might have a role, but it is problematic, unofficial, left for art, fringe culture, stories of old times and not the present. And definitely not for the daily life of masters. 3) For masters also the rank must play a role - and this could be extended to class in the general society. Strong hierarchies commonly build great barriers between people. Specifically H & Y in my story are divided by several years in duty, but much more by those two cursed years of them being master and apprentice, which, apparently, might connect and divide you at once, for life. Even in canon, it is interesting, how Y. keeps the custom of respect, when they meet, even though by now he may just as well have a rank much higher than H had, when he had left. Y. keeps this mostly formally, while they seem to speak quite equally at times, but it is there. H. was once his superior, and so he is forever. I hc that, generally, in such society, love over the borders of class would not be favoured, and for masters difference of rank would make the situation even more problematic, than it already is.
Still this all is based on the orientalistic trope - it is not impossible that some masters were quite unhinged and nobody cared.. or that, as I mentioned, the society had a certain facade, but inside everything was very different - I think I was using the latter idea mostly
Well but... these were my thoughts.. yours?

If I had a nickel for every time one of Orube's loved ones unleashed a dangerous enemy by trying to harm the W.i.t.c.h. and subsequently sacrificed themselves in a fight against said enemy to save someone else's life, I'd have two nickels. Which is not a lot, but it's really weird that it happened twice to Orube specifically.

"Heartbroken" - Excerpt 👀
Maybe nobody cares about what Orube was doing in Kandrakar after Cedric’s death, but I do - so I’m going to share the first scene of this one-shot 💔
Relationships: Luba/Endarno; Orube/Cedric; mention of past Orube/Original unnamed characters; Orube/Original male character
Link to the full story: here
(It can be read without knowing the rest of the series)
Luba had learned to accept a variety of feelings over the many, many years she’d been alive - and even later, in the afterlife.
She had learned to accept rage, sadness, frustration, homesickness, and then, when she’d had her apprentice, worry, apprehension, and unconditional love. She had learned to put her girl always first, always at the top of her priorities. She didn’t even have to learn that skill - it just came naturally. From the day Orube, back then just a scared child looking at her with wide eyes, had been brought in front of her and Luba had been told ‘this is your apprentice - Orube Arsinoe Sati’, something had immediately clicked inside Luba’s chest. From that moment, she knew that that little girl would become her whole world.
There was only one feeling that Luba could not stand.
Feeling helpless.
As she watched the image of her girl reflected in the water basin, she felt helpless. Orube was suffering like she’d never suffered before. Admittedly, it stung a little, that she was suffering more now because of that Metamoor scum than when she’d lost her Master. But Orube was in pain now, and Luba could do nothing to help her. Himerish didn’t want her to go and show herself to her apprentice, and Luba knew it was the right decision. This was a key moment in Orube’s adulthood, and one she’d have to find a way out of without her Master.
It was certainly not the first time Luba had witnessed her apprentice while she was having problems with men. Orube had started taking part in deals fairly early, since they were still training in Basiliade, and had continued to have encounters with other warriors later in Kandrakar as well. Sometimes, these deals ended up in feelings, and they hurt. Most of the time, they would rather hurt the other side, and Orube’s struggles were how to get rid of this or the other warrior who had fallen for her, while she was only looking for a distraction. Occasionally, it had been the other way around.
The Metamoor shapeshifter was a different beast.
What made Luba so angry was that she’d known for years that this was going to happen. Yet she could do nothing to prevent it.
When she was a Wise in Kandrakar, she had visions sometimes. One of these visions came to her the day when that criminal had been brought to Kandrakar, together with the other disgrace that was the Prince of Meridian. It was a brief vision, but long enough to make Luba’s blood boil with rage. She saw the two of them - Orube and the shapeshifter - wearing terrestrial clothes, sitting on the floor of what looked like a dark and dusty bookstore on Earth - the bookstore that Queen Weira thought Kandrakar didn’t know about, and that she’d used for years as the operational base for Cedric’s investigation on the planet.
And then, the vision showed her Cedric’s death, and Orube crying for that scoundrel.
Luba knew, back then, that what Orube was going to feel for Cedric was not the same infatuation she’d experienced for a few warriors before. She knew that Cedric and Orube were going to spend only a short time together, but that even such a short time was enough for Orube to believe that there was something more than deals, and that there was someone who could understand her, desire her, and love her - all at the same time.
Luba was convinced that the shapeshifter was nothing but a scam, and yet could do nothing to prevent Orube from believing that he was the one.
“And now, here we are...” she murmured, her heart squeezing as she kept looking into the basin.
“Don’t beat yourself up,” Endarno said calmly, standing tall next to her. “There was no way to prevent this.”
“Well, if someone didn’t let the Prince escape…” Luba blurted and immediately regretted her words.
Endarno sighed and walked away from the basin. “Luba… we already talked about that.”
“I know - I’m sorry,” said Luba, and with an effort of will, she turned away from the basin, following Endarno. She reached for his shoulder to make him turn and look at her, and the familiar frustration clenched her stomach - or where she was supposed to have a stomach - when her hand passed through his body.
He turned, nevertheless, as if he’d anticipated her move.
They looked at each other in silence, as they often did, detaching from reality and telling each other how they felt, without the need for words. They’d known each other for many years, many more than a mortal mind could ever count, but it was certainly not love at first sight. Time was a strange concept in Kandrakar. In Basiliade, their paths never crossed, even though they shared some common years on the planet, because Luba grew up in the lands beyond the pyramids, while Endarno was the son of a General of the Citadel. Then, Endarno was called to join Kandrakar about ten years before Luba received her call, and yet, when she arrived in Kandrakar, he’d been there for a hundred years already.
At the beginning, their dislike for each other was mutual. All the other Adepts were constantly looking at the legendary warrior with wonder in their eyes, and many found him incredibly attractive, too. Luba, on the other hand, did not understand what was so special about that man, who always seemed to have something to be disappointed in. Endarno was no less sceptical about her than she was about him, and claimed that she was too arrogant for being an Adept, and that she certainly should not be trusted with the task of controlling the Aurameres.
But then, there was that mission - the one that brought them both back to Basiliade during one of the many battles of the long war with Histea. Still today, they did not know what pushed Himerish to send the two of them to the planet, but that was when they unwillingly, slowly, and painfully fell in love, and never left each other’s side since then.
“Why did she have to fall for that moron…” Luba sighed after a while.
Endarno smiled at her and lifted his hand to cup her cheek, even though he could not touch her. “Could have been worse. It could have been the other moron. After all, they were just one prison cell apart…”
“You are not taking this seriously, Endarno!” she burst, and whirled to float back to the basin.
“I am!” he protested behind her. She heard his steps following her. “But what am I supposed to do? She doesn’t let me in. I’m not her Master - you are. I tried, but I’m not you. Nobody can take your place. If only-”
She turned, glaring at him with defiance. “If only what?”
He lowered his gaze. “Nothing.”
It was not nothing. Sometimes Luba resented him for having let Phobos play him, taking advantage of his good heart so he could take his place, leading to the cascade of events that brought Cedric to Earth and Orube back to Kandrakar, mourning the man she’d been falling for. But this was nothing compared to what Luba had done to Endarno, and she knew it. “You still think I had a choice… You think I chose to leave you… to leave her.”
“You didn’t even tell me!” Endarno protested, as he always did when this argument came up. “Or give me a chance to say goodbye.”
“But I came back. Somehow…”
“And what if Himerish said no?” he asked, worry glazing his eyes as if he was scared that Himerish could take back his permission to let Luba stay as a spirit without warning. “I would have lost you forever.”
She shook her head. “No… never. I will always be with you.”
Silence followed again. Endarno lifted both hands, going to take her face between them again. This time, a glimmering halo surrounded his palms. His eyebrows furrowed in concentration and pain, like every time he pulled the strings of that intricate Kandrakar magic that allowed Luba to come back and speak with him. When his hands reached her face, this time, Luba could feel them. She let him take her face between his palms and press a kiss on her forehead. The contact was brief, as Endarno could control those strings of magic only for short moments, but it was always long enough to make her eyes sting with tears.
Even after the contact was gone and she was again a semitransparent ghost, she leaned towards him and rested her head against his chest, letting him envelop her in his arms - or at least, he enveloped the air occupied by her image.
“Please, do something for my child,” she said, listening to his heartbeat. “Do not give up on her.”
“I won’t. I promise.”

W.I.T.C.H. (Fanfic)
This screenplay was written by Hisparus, and is a non-profit fan work based on the W.I.T.C.H. universe. All rights to the original universe belong to their respective owners. This adaptation is not affiliated with Disney and is not intended to generate revenue. Please do not repost without credit or use excerpts without permission. This is a project made with love and respect for the original material. 💫
KANDRAKAR: The screen begins with a blinding glow, transitioning into a misty place full of clouds.
YAN LIN (V.O.): In a distant and infinite place, a temple rises, brimming with light and magnificence.
A massive white building is revealed, filled with arches and ornamental details.
YAN LIN (V.O.): Kandrakar. A place beyond time and space.
As she speaks, the image of the fortress draws closer.
YAN LIN (V.O.): An immense void from which the temple of the Congregation emerges.
The temple's interior is shown, revealing its ornate structure with white vaults and columns, highlighting every detail.
YAN LIN (V.O.): Let its radiance dazzle you. (PAUSE) Come closer, but do so in silence.
The Congregation Assembly is shown—an enormous hall with a wide arched seating arrangement, similar to the ancient stone benches used by the Roman Senate.
All members seated on the stone benches appear humanoid and wear long sky-blue robes.
At the center of the hall, the colored spheres representing each of the elements form a pentagon. The colors are pink, blue, gray, orange, and green.
Next to the elemental spheres stands THE ORACLE, a hairless humanoid being with pale skin. He is kneeling beside TIBOR, an elderly humanoid being with a long white beard. Unlike THE ORACLE, TIBOR stands upright.
YAN LIN (V.O.): The Oracle is about to speak.
THE ORACLE: There is no more time, brothers and sisters! The Veil is in danger once more.
Everyone listens attentively to the ORACLE's words.
THE ORACLE: It is time for the Guardians to defend the order of things!
All begin murmuring among themselves.
ALTHOR, a plump, pointy-eared elder with a long white beard, stands from his seat to ask:
ALTHOR: Who will be chosen this time, my Lord?
THE ORACLE: Five humans, Althor.
LUBA, a slender woman with feline features, rises to speak, showing clear disapproval on her face.
LUBA: (DISPLEASED) Five girls, to be more precise.
THE ORACLE: They are more than that, Luba. They are magical beings. Nature will be their friend. The Earth, their mother.
As THE ORACLE speaks, the elemental spheres begin to float toward him, forming a line.
THE ORACLE: And the elements, their allies.
The spheres merge and emit a glow that fades the scene into black. * * *
WILL'S DREAM: The scene begins with a black screen. Slowly, an object appears, glowing with a pink flash.
WILL is present—a girl with short red hair and brown eyes.
She is dazzled by the object, which is revealed to be the Heart of Kandrakar, a pink orb with metallic ornamentation.
FEMALE VOICE: Will…
WILL tries to reach the Heart with her hand, causing it to shine even more brightly. The girl reacts by shielding her eyes from the light.
WILL: (SCARED) What is that?
WILL is pulled inside the Heart as she screams in fear.
FEMALE VOICE: Will…
After closing her eyes for a moment, WILL slowly opens them wide, finding herself in a dark world where nothing else seems to exist.
Thunder roars, and raindrops begin to fall on her.
Unable to do anything, WILL falls to her knees, crying under the rain, which grows heavier.
FEMALE VOICE: (INSISTENT) Will… Will… Will!
* * *
VANDOM FAMILY CAR: WILL wakes up startled, sitting in her mother's car, in the passenger seat. Driving beside her is SUSAN, a tall, slender woman with wavy dark hair and brown eyes.
SUSAN: About time. Were you having a nightmare, honey?
WILL places her hand on her head, letting out a faint groan.
WILL: (ANNOYED) A terrible one. There was an awful storm.
The Vandom family car slowly moves along the road, packed with cars, approaching a bridge. The sound of traffic blends with the sound of rain falling.
SUSAN: Nothing to envy over here.
Above the bridge entrance, a green illuminated sign reads “HEATHERFIELD.” WILL sees the glowing sign through the windshield.
WILL: Heatherfield.
SUSAN: Yes, we've finally arrived at the long-awaited Heatherfield. I admit, it doesn't make a good first impression because of the weather…
A motorbike roars past the vehicle at high speed, startling both SUSAN and WILL. SUSAN frowns and honks several times. Then she turns to WILL with a smile.
SUSAN: (PRETENDING TO BE CALM) But you'll see, tomorrow you'll feel right at home.
WILL's face turns serious.
WILL: Mom, tomorrow's my first day at school.
SUSAN: (SMILING) Then the day after tomorrow—it’s Saturday.
WILL rolls her eyes and slumps back in the seat.
WILL: (GRUMBLING) We could’ve just waited until Monday to start.
SUSAN: You’ll see, the day will fly by.
* * *
VANDOM RESIDENCE BUILDING / OPPOSITE SIDEWALK: A three-story building is shown under a heavy rainfall. This is where the Vandom family will live. WILL and SUSAN unload boxes from the car trunk, parked near the main entrance. SUSAN hands a box to WILL.
SUSAN: (HANDING THE BOX) Here, take this upstairs. (TURNS AROUND TO GRAB ANOTHER BOX) A lot of rain is falling.
WILL’s box breaks open from the bottom, spilling its contents. SUSAN turns back to see what happened. WILL looks down at the items scattered across the wet sidewalk, then quickly begins picking them up.
SUSAN approaches her daughter.
SUSAN: (SOFTLY) Will…
SUSAN hugs WILL.
SUSAN: I know this isn’t easy. But you’ll see—it’ll get better.
WILL has a serious, unconvinced look.
WILL: Sure. I bet it will.
SUSAN breaks the hug and speaks to WILL face-to-face.
SUSAN: That’s the spirit, Will.
SUSAN moves a lock of hair from WILL’s eyes to the side of her face.
SUSAN: (CHEERFUL) Come on, let’s finish this—I’m getting soaked.
WILL heads into the building. SUSAN grabs a package to carry in. WILL’s lock of hair falls back into place.
WILL: (MUTTERING) Yeah, sure. Like it’ll be easy for things not to get worse.

Some of my favorite W.I.T.C.H. moments are when the guardians abuse their powers. Cornelia getting all fed up and imprisoning Luba in tree branches that she grows in the middle of her room. Taranee setting random shit on fire and almost incinerating a human at one point. Will using her powers to sabotage people that she sees as threats to her personal happiness.
They are young girls who still are still trying to figure themselves out, but they are also practically goddesses. With their elemental powers, they are as beneficial as dangerous, and I appreciate every scene where we are reminded of this.

W.I.T.C.H. reboot, questions about the Guardians' families:
Will: what about her father? Also, will she get a younger brother here too?
Irma: is Anna her adopted mother as in the comic? If yes, will you address the mistery of Irma's birth mother?
Taranee: so... In the New Power arc it turned out she was adopted too, Fire came from the sky when Dark Mother's plants tried to murder her in the crib and the house was collateral damage so her parents had to give her up for adoption. Is she adopted here too? If yes and the circumstances are the same, will her birth parents appear? After all, Theresa kept tabs on them to let Taranee decide when the time came (she threw the information in the fire).
Cornelia: is her sister a magical Keeper here too?
Hay Lin: What's her relationship with her rich grandfather in Hong Kong?
Oh boy oh boy do the girls have a LOT of family drama in the comics!
Will - I think I lean toward liking her father in the Cartoon better than the Comic. Compared to the Comic's deadbeat with debts thing, I find the dynamic more interesting where he /does/ care about Will (and still cares about Susan as a person even if they're no longer in love), but he's just...... not really a Father.
Her getting a little brother may be in the stars, but it'll happen later. I /do/ have the opportunity to go past the cartoon's two seasons and adapt later Comic arcs, so I can have there be enough time pass where the little brother would appear. He is getting a different name though because the Will vs Will thing is going to drive me insane.
Irma - The fact that Anna is not her birth mother is sending me because they look EXACTLY alike. I'm not opposed to her being Irma's stepmom, but I might redesign her if I keep that plot. But yeah it wouldn't be a mystery, just that her birth mother died when Irma was little and her dad has since moved on and remarried.
Taranee - OH BOY. Okay so I'm liking the idea of her being adopted, but the Everything Else is a lot of drama. And the fact that her birth parents are actually confirmed alive in Canon but she doesn't want to meet them is interesting, especially with the whole fire thing being a magical cause.
While I won't keep the cause of the fire the same, having it be something mundane instead of connecting back.... would it be mean of me to kill off her birth parents? Just have the baby survive a fire. But we'd have Taranee finding out that her birth parents died in a fire and she has a breakdown wondering if her powers caused it. (in the end no, she didn't cause the fire. It was just one of the many normal ways a housefire can happen. Though perhaps her Magic is why she survived).
Cornelia - Lilian being the Heart of Earth is fucking hilarious to me so yeah I'm keeping it. Although this is entirely coincidence and not why Cornelia was chosen to be a Guardian because FUCK you Luba Corny's great actually!
Hay Lin - I actually don't know shit about the connection with the grandfather. I could roll in any direction with it.

Pain and suffering. I'm very glad I'm not the only one who plays "Find all the things that are currently dealing horrible damage to Orube's psyche" when reading the Nerissa arc.
If I've learnt anything from xianxia webnovels, it's that this kind of mentorship/teacher-disciple relationship very easily can have a parental component. There's some lovely meta on the whole "一日為師,終身為父"/"Teacher for one day, father for a lifetime" thing in cnovel fandom (and probably, uh, academia and also just the internet), and I think it fits these two very well. That is to say, agreed 100%, for Orube, Luba is probably a closer equivalent to what a parent is in Heatherfield than Orube's parents are. (As an aside, Basiliade ends up having massive xianxia/wuxia vibes due to being based on the same/similar culture(s). Someone draw my girl flying on a sword)
In any case, Luba is one of the most, if not the most important and influential person in Orube's life! That's her mentor, her teacher, her master, the person who took her as a student and shaped who she is, quite possibly the only person she's close to! That's Orube's shizun and she was put on trial and ousted from Kandrakar, and then she died!
How do you deal with this? Your mentor broke the ancient laws - do you accept that she made a mistake and disgraced herself (dishonour that might reflect on you as well), or do you cling to believing she had a point? Your and your mentor's near-divine master mourns with you, but disagrees wholly with your mentor's actions - you cannot disobey and go against him (you are loyal, you do not ask questions like those little girls do, you are the perfect warrior your father wanted you to be), but you cannot agree either; what do you do? Your mentor died to make up for her mistakes - can you accept this and live with your grief, or do you need someone to blame, someone who is not her and not the master you cannot question (who knows everything, who knew what would happen to her, who let it happen) but someone who's easier to criticise? I indeed don't think Orube's thinking clearly at all when we first meet her!! And I can't really blame her!
The whole Orube character arc meta that's attached to all this is probably its own post, but there's really just so much stuff to think about here. No wonder Orube is the way she is when she first joins the W.i.t.c.h.
Also I love the thought of Luba thinking about Orube while she sacrifices herself. There seems to be a sense of honour and responsibility at play here that isn't necessarily one our main characters or we as readers would agree with, what with Luba essentially dying for her mistakes and the Oracle essentially agreeing that this is what saved her soul, so I guess Luba is of the opinion that she has to die. She's taking responsibility for what she did. Maybe part of what she mourns and regrets is that due to her actions, she has to leave her student behind, without the weight of her teacher's disgrace but also without a teacher. I have brain rot
Do you ever think about how Orube must've had the worst time of her life during the Nerissa arc

30 Days of Witchversary-  Day 10 and 11
Favorite villain HQ
This week was my first in uni without internet so I’m here to catch up!
Tumblr media
Totally ethereal
A Kandrakarian elder
Let me take this chance to talk about Luba. I find this character so interesting for one main reason she had the balls to doubt Oracle! Good for her! Or not since it led to her death 😬
Anyways, I agree with her being against the Oracle's decision of giving the role of the Guardians to Earth teenagers but for different reasons, Luba thinks they shouldn't because they’re young and inexperienced but my reasoning is because teenagehood is already an age full of angst with enough worries and naivety, unprepared for this kind of responsability, so someone older, more experienced and trained would be way better like for example Orube.

30 Days of WITCHversary - 19-27
Heres another dump of days!
Day 19 - Something small but unforgettable
The way they handled Cornelia and Caleb breaking up in the comic.
Ignoring later arc nonsense about Elyon/Caleb, I really like the way the fated soulmates trope gets subverted. They had passion, oh yes, they had so very much passion, but that is all they had, their relationship, upon reaching even ground and time to talk and actually spend non-working time together, destabilized. Caleb thought he was flirting with someone far older and became uncomfortable when he realized Cornelia’s age, Cornelia thought she’d have a Prince Charming who’d live on Earth with her in a happily ever after, Caleb loved Meridian and was too used to the way of the blade to ever be happy elsewhere, and Cornelia couldn’t ever be happy away from her home either. They tied it up well, and while I enjoy Cartoon!C/C, it was for the best.
Day 20 - Something you’d always come back to
WITCH in general? But if I had to choose, the 2nd season of the cartoon. It just... Speaks to me because of how cohesive the worldbuilding is. Its comfortable and well animated and I spent a frankly embarrassing amount of time rewatching the home-recorded vhs tapes of that season throughout my childhood. I can recite lines. Fear my power.
Day 21 - A memorable architectural design
Kandrakar. Its a classic, very WITCH-like. I actually tried to build it in minecraft once. I didn’t finish, but I really like how its all white and cloudy and on the surface looks like some stereotypical heaven but oh, how it isnt with any kind of analysis(See, the problem of Evil). The spikes on the tower show off that it has its darker side under the fluff.
Also I have a soft spot for indoor pools, runes, and marble. So theres that.
Day 22 - A wonderful pet
Napoleon! Both comic and cartoon Napoleon are good. Im a sucker for cats.
Have a doodle of a few Napoleons Ft. the probable design for tDoK!Napoleon
Tumblr media
Day 23 - A magical item
So I think ill talk about the Seal Of Phobos. Just. What the shit?
In the cartoon, it opened portals- allowing people access to worlds that were closed off from the rest by a Veil. Then the Heart vored it and they got that power but heres the question- Why didn’t the guardians already have the power to do that? They are supposed to fix things considered dangerous enough for intervention by Kandrakar, why can’t they get into quarantined spaces where all the particularly dangerous things are? The plot hole eats at me.
In the comics its even more shaky and poorly elaborated but at least you can just say the Heart already had the power to let them Travel and when it ate it it just purified it instead of giving it a power it should already have.
Day 24 - A group shot
Heres a sketchy shot of the Four Dragons and Xin Jing
Tumblr media
Day 25 - A minor character
Luba!!
I love angry cat grandma.
Tumblr media
Day 26 - A fantasy people/race/species
WEs species has a whole lotta potential, I drew em a bunch, both the tDoK version and a more canon version
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Heres a bunch of my ocs for that species
Tumblr media
Day 27 - A personal headcanon
Just choose one? I have a lot
Ill go with the headcanon/small AU that Basalites have tails so Luba and her canonical tail can make more sense.
