When Sylvie catches sight of her reflection in the long mirror behind the bar she can’t resist giving herself a victorious smile; she’s here to celebrate and she damn well deserves that celebration. Finally she has found a buyer for her latest piece of work, and if all goes well it’ll bring at least a few months of financial security before she has to start worrying about the bills again.  She knocks back the remainder of her margarita and orders another, and since the bartender keeps unsubtly staring at her chest she takes her time searching in her purse for the payment, just in case this prompts him to offer this one on the house.  He doesn’t (well, it was a bit of a long shot) but someone else does – a tall, pale, dark-haired man steps in to play Prince Charming instead, and on first impressions alone this unexpected understudy might be good for more than one free drink; she wishes she had ordered something more expensive.

(No prizes for guessing that her "latest piece of work" is in some way fraudulent, or for guessing who the buyer is.)

Dual weilding Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint for some reason was always the solution I needed for drawing bgs.

CSP got them gorgeous environmental brushes, Photoshop has great texturing and wacky tools.

And then I cling to SAI with my life and everything is a-okay

this may make me sound like a corp simp but like if you want a product that receives consistent updates & improvements, u r gonna have to accept a subscription based module... like i hate subscriptions a lot but i think they are the best for this type of product. paying a 1 time fee and expecting that product to be receive constant updates/major improvements or years is just unreasonable

You’ve been using adobe? Oof brother- if u want some crunchy art I’d recommend mspaint or a website (free!) called kleki. Personally I don’t use mspaint but I do use kleki and I can say major con of it is you have a lil less control. Not many settings + brushes. I like it tho so if u need quick art check it out ! :P

I've only been adobe for animating and editing videos; for drawing I use clip studio or mspaint. I got adobe free for schooling purposes, but it looks like my time is up on that. Currently blender is looking like the best option for me rn in regards to animating and video editing (though I do groan in annoyance as I'll have to learn a new program).

Basically, I'll be alright. Thank you for the suggestions though!

I fucked up. I fucked up big time. It's so over. I made the biggest fucky wucky I could've we're so done chat. This is gonna turn into a fucking FFXIV blog now and I'm gonna have to replace all of my insane venting with insane blue mage spiels (get it cuz, cuz it kinda sounds like "blue mage spells" see see I'm smart I'm good at wording)

I fucking took a hiatus for like over a year and now I got fucking roped back in by like 500 things all at once psychically sending messages into my head that said "oooh you want to die play mmos again ooooh you want to krill yourshellf put 1000 more hours into ffxiv again so bad ooooh" and they fucking worked, first Tetris and now this shit it's so joever. I can stop it before it gets too bad this time tho, none of my friends play XIV anymore and/or I don't talk to the ones that still do now I can't possibly put 10,000 hours into an MMO while doing only solo content that would be ridiculous (I can, I 100% can, very easily in fact and have done so before).

Like if it were like $15 instead that would still be ridiculous but it would be like ridiculous within reason enough that I'd be able to convince myself it's maybe worth it but not $30

AND WHY THE FUCK DID I IMMEDIATELY DECIDE TO PUT ALL OF MY PLAYTIME RIGHT AFTER COMING BACK INTO FUCKING BLUE MAGE LEVELLING I LITERALLY HATE BLUE MAGE LEVELLING AM I FUCKING STUPID I love making conscious decisions to do things that I don't enjoy and knowingly make my life worse it's honestly kinda one of my top hobbies.

What if I stopped now before it fully digs it's claws back into me and instead did something productive, like reading the bible, or reading the christianity fandom wiki, or reading eroguro visual novels, or reading 1 star app reviews of the bible, or transitioning.
