so I made the mistake of listening to the character songs sung by the voice actors and it sparked a buggy centric mad max style musician/music au and I cant get it out of my head here is a google doc with all the details and my reasonings

I tried not to change much about one piece's wacky world since I love it so much

Similarly to how El has that progression of eating Eggos less onscreen and having it often tied to Mike - with her not touching them at breakfast then leaving before they come at the diner -

I also just noticed that while in season 1, Mike loves waffles too, in season 4, we see him make breakfast in the toaster on his way out the door and - instead of a writers' nod to her - he's making pop tarts (while arguing about his flight to see her - "no sweetie pie"). Then, at the Byers, I checked with the guess that maybe he had waffles but just didn't eat them like her but nope, in fact, he just has toast instead.

As of season 4, Mike has moved on from Eggos. He repeatedly chooses things over them, while El is just beginning to leave them when offered to her.

Oh btw for any grumbo shippers(I know I reblog a lot of the pairing because! Because they just have chemistry dang it!!), be it platonic or otherwise, I just came up with a little side plot-point that could work if you tweak around some of the timing between the two.

Imagine the reason why Mumbo is greying is because he’s secretly working at Mined!! To rescue Grian from the liminal hell he resides in!!!

Yagami reached for Kitakata’s arm, found his hand, and guided it to his hip. Yagami pulled away from the kiss.

“Touch me, would you?”

Kitakata’s breath was warm on his lips. “Where would you like it?”

“Figure it out yourself.” He said and kissed him again. Kitakata didn’t seem to complain. His fingers slipped under the hem of Yagami’s shirt, meeting skin. He touched along the base of his spine, and Yagami couldn’t suppress the slight shiver that went through him. He could only imagine how gratifying this was for Kitakata. Hell, just seeing Yagami checking him out probably made his whole week, now this. He’d never be able to stop him from flirting now.

Yagami leaned into Kitakata’s hold, into his mouth, against that eager tongue. He was about to make Kitakata’s whole damn year.

Especially when he can tell how happy Rob is that Percy likes Waffle House. “It’s a southern institution,” Rob says. “When we first moved here, I thought it was gross.” “Because of the stickiness?” Percy guesses. “Yeah. I mean, I guess it’s still pretty gross. But that peanut butter chip waffle, man”—he kisses his fingers—“fucking amazing.” He looks so happy, a big grin on his face and eyes bright and brown, and Percy wants to pull him into a hug even though they’re in the middle of the parking lot.
