How is Coqueline older than Dathura?
In the first episode of the fourth season, the brotherhood of the Tofu, accompanied by The Siblings, venture into the library of the Gods. It is revealed by Dathura that this place is where every recorded life of every being that has ever existed is kept. During their visit, Dathura picks up Coqueline's life book, which appears significantly thicker than the others, and presents it to her.
What’s absurd about this moment is that Dathura tells her that the book looks bigger than any other in here because she’s the oldest among them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Isn’t it odd how a demigoddess osamodas is OLDER than one of Sadida’s divine dolls?
I say this because it sounds very strange based on the existing knowledge we have about the creation of the world.
According to the lore of the World of Twelve, when the gods first discovered this world, it was entirely uninhabited. There was no trace of any living beings or natural elements.
The gods decided to use their divine power to create a world that is suitable for their subjects to live in. The gods Osamodas and Sadida played a significant role in creating the wildlife and plant life respectively. (it is worth noting that Xelor also played a crucial role in the creation of time itself, though this is not directly related to the topic at hand)
When it was time to bring balance to the world, Sadida crafted ten Sadida dolls with the intention of seducing Osamodas' ten dragons. However, only six of the dolls were successful in their mission, which resulted in the creation of the six primordial Dofus that we know today.
This is where Coqueline's initial appearance seems to be somewhat disorganized.
During the period when Osamodas and Sadida collaborated to create the Dofus, their subjects could not have been created because the world lacked balance which made it difficult for their people to live in it. This underscores the importance of the Dofus in maintaining equilibrium in their world.
So here is where the question comes in.
If Coqueline is older than Dathura, how was Coqueline conceived?
Coqueline is a demigoddess so her mother must’ve been a mortal who had once lived before the creation of the dofus, a time when Dathura did not exist.
The Ogrest manga does not explain nor mention Coqueline’s past or her mother.
I also tried to look into the Dofus game and see what it can tell us about Coqueline’s background and yet again, I have nothing. There is a chance I might have missed information regarding her though since I do not play Dofus.
Regardless of whether or not I played the game, Coqueline is only seen wanting to take revenge on her father in Dofus.
It is clear now that Coqueline could not have come from a time when mortals could live properly in the world. Therefore, her mother could not have been a mortal. It can be deduced that Coqueline must have been conceived by a dragon.
And here are the reasons for this assumption.
Coqueline, who is considered to be the oldest member of The Siblings, appears to be significantly younger than her peers. Her youthful appearance is so striking that it could easily lead one to mistake her for a child no older than Elely and Flopin.
The young-looking appearance of a person within a group can sometimes be deceiving, as it may not accurately reflect their actual age. This phenomenon is reminiscent of Yugo, who despite having a childlike appearance, was actually an adult.
Yugo's physical appearance is distinctively child-like due to the presence of dragon blood in his veins. This unique biological makeup inhibits his normal growth process, resulting in him being unable to mature at a rate comparable to his friends.
There is only one known instance where an individual was observed to age slowly due to the presence of dragon blood in their system. And this exceptional case was Yugo.
So when we look at Coqueline, it appears that she is also affected by the aging issue similar to Yugo. Since her father is the god of beasts, which encompasses dragons among other creatures, it is worth noting that this correlation may not be a mere coincidence.
It's possible that Coqueline's irregular growth compared to the other demigods could be explained by her being a product of Osamodas and a dragon. This would not only suggest that her genetic composition is different from the others, but it would also explain why she still looks and sounds like a child despite being the oldest.

Wakfu AU Chapter 3
Yugo panicked, thinking he’d been found. He opened his mouth, not entirely sure what would come out when the person put their finger to their lips and shushed him.
“Shut up, you’re gonna get me caught,” the person hissed. They were a head shorter than him and had a mask covering their face. It looked like a skull and it had black feathers on it that fell down their back. They wore a cloak going down to just above their feet, which had no shoes.
“Who are you???” Yugo was confused. “What are you doing in here?”
The person lifted their mask. It was a little Osamodas girl who looked about six. She had pink hair and an indignant look on her face.
“I don’t think you need to know that.” She turned up her nose at him, looking at him like all little kids do when they thought they knew more than him. Grougal often had that look and while Yugo never appreciated it, and he could usually handle it. But now, he was reaching the end of his rope. “You don’t look like you think at all.” He internally facepalmed. He was talking to a six-year-old like this? What happened to being mature?
Then the girl snickered. She obviously wasn’t phased. That’s new. Whenever kids in his village talked to their little siblings like that there was crying and whining, or biting in Grougal’s case. Adamai used to get really impatient with the younger dragon. Sarcasm never really helped.
“I’m Coqueline,” she said, holding her hand out. “I’m here to free these animals. You?”
“Yugo.” He shook her hand. “Me too.”
“Wanna help me?” She offered.
“Uh, sure. Yeah, why not?”
“Okay, so we start by unlocking this…”
They worked in total silence, any noise that their clothes or the cages made concealed by the roaring laughter and loud thunder outside. As they worked, Coqueline whispered to the animals to stay put until she said so, and they listened. Yugo thought that this was incredible. When the rain slowed to a stop, the sky was still closed by rain. The men had gone to sleep a while ago and now started waking up. The cages had all been unlocked and the animals unshackled. The doors were still closed so that the trappers wouldn’t get suspicious.
The two snuck out of the cave and waited in some nearby trees. The men took the cages out of the cave and put them on the ground in the clearing just outside the entrance to the cave. Now that it was lighter out, while admittedly still being gray, Yugo could finally see around them.
The forest extended as far as the eye could see. There was a river nearby that fell off of a cliff that he somehow hadn’t seen. The ground next to it looked pretty unstable, though. He needed to avoid that.
Yugo wondered where they were going to put all the cages. A tall one took out a Haven bag. Smart choice. Made sense.
Coqueline got ready to whistle. The animals would stampede and then they would incapacitate the trappers while the creatures fled.
One… Two… Thr-
And the clearing burst into flames.

Lady Echo: A Character Analysis
Before we dive in, there's something about me you should know. I'm a TV Tropes truther. That site is my Bible. If a piece of media interests me, then you'd better believe I have visited its TV Tropes page.
And because of that, Echo in particular is a character I've been meaning to talk about for a while now, because I get the feeling people tend to overlook what I feel is the true core of her character at the end of season 3.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you can see, while other tropes go more into detail about her true motivations behind betraying Oropo, that part of her character ends up being reduced to being a Woman Scorned, and while that certainly applies here, I really don't think that's the trope that best encapsulates her character and her decisions at the end of the season.
A Woman Scorned is essentially any woman who has been wronged by the person she loves and seeks revenge or has at least expressed great anger. And it can go from being cheated on by a partner, or simply being rejected by their love interest and not taking it well. And both heroic and villainous characters can be the ones to break her heart. In fact, Arpagone too would be an example of this trope, as even if her feelings for Ruel are still there, most of her actions are motivated by the pain she feels for his decision to choose money over her.
Tumblr media
As you can see, this all fits with Echo's actions and feelings at the end of season 3, but it's very general overall. Which is why, in my humble opinion, Echo is a better example of Love Forgives All but Lust.
This trope is essentially a deconstruction of tropes centred around the appeal bad boys have for women. The thing about women falling for bad boys is that those women tend to know they're bad news, and beyond a desire to be the ones to change them, the real reason that interest is born is because they're attracted to the idea of the bad boy being a jerk to everyone, but them. Love Forgives All but Lust is what happens when the woman is rudely awakened from that delusion.
In other words, when they realise not even they are safe from their partner's worst actions. And what is the best way to have a woman feel betrayed to the point of seeking revenge? Unfaithfulness.
Sure, they will forgive their partner if it turns out he's a serial killer, but if he cheats? Then he's the one who's dead.
And example of Love Forgives All but Lust is when the police is trying to get a mafioso's wife/girlfriend to testify against her lover, but she refuses to cooperate... until she discovers her husband/boyfriend has a lover, then she'll do everything to bring him down.
If you think about it, this is essentially what happened between Echo and Oropo after he revealed he only ever "loved" Amalia. Even if Echo is a much more active player in Oropo's machinations than simply being aware of them, having helped him carry over his plans for centuries as his second-in-command.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After he kissed Amalia and claimed Echo never meant anything to him compared to her, that's when Echo totally lost it. And her subsequent actions are a direct result of his betrayal. It never had anything to do with Echo seeing the error of her ways, as we all know.
Think about it, it wasn't until Oropo chose Amalia over her, after everything they had ever been through, that Echo truly struck. Once it became apparent her lover didn't care for her nearly as much as she cared for him, that's when Echo revealed his true plans: to destroy the gods, he must destroy the World of Twelve and deprive them of followers. In other words, he was willing to commit mass genocide for the sake of his dream.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moreoever, the fact that she got to reveal the true extent of his plans at all already highlights that only she knew about them. All along, Echo knew what Oropo was planning, the consequences of his dreams, and she never once stopped believing in his cause. Their conversation in episode 6 even going as far as explaining Echo already believed in him and supported his dreams before ever falling for him, meaning she can't even excuse her actions by saying her feelings blinded her. Because she was perfectly aware of Oropo's plans all along.
And yet, that didn't stop her from loving him. If anything, it was only another reason she fell in love with him.
No, it wasn't until Oropo broke her heart that she ever went against him.
If you ask me, this all reads as Echo not minding Oropo's most questionable tendencies because she was convinced she was exempt from ever being at the receiving end of his worst actions. After all, she had been by his side the longest, witnessing how he got rid of demigods that failed to meet his standards or were no longer useful (going with what the show claims, I haven't read Ogrest's manga). It wasn't until he kissed Amalia and shoved her aside that Echo realised not even she was safe from him.
And it was because Oropo had had no qualms to screw her over that Echo decided it was her turn to screw him over. And hence, she revealed his plans to the Brotherhood of the Forgotten, not because she'd seen the error of her ways, but because Oropo had hurt her and she wanted to make him bleed in turn.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the end, Echo's actions weren't fuelled solely by revenge or even jealousy, they were fuelled by the bitter realisation that she never meant as much to Oropo as he meant to her. It was about realising he had no qualms hurting her, not about how he had no qualms hurting anyone else.
It was about Echo not being enough for Oropo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And for me, that's why Echo is a better example of Love Forgives All but Lust.

EN- Coqueline and Gob-Gob, from Wakfu ^^
Note: One evening, while telling a story to my daughter, I used Gob-Gob to enhance the story. A great stuffed animal that my accomplice gave to my daughter for Christmas. It inspired me to draw Coqueline.

Wakfu/Dofus!
blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most): My dark queen, the butcherer of Brakmar herself, Julith.
scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped): Evangeline has always been my favorite of the main heroes, and still remains that to this day. Yugo’s cute too and of course there’s Nox.
scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave): That crazy general woman in the last part of season 2 was great. Such a fun character.
glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week): The Dark Raven was a great one shot baddie.
poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave): While I disliked how their arc went, I did really love the idea behind the Brotherhood of The Forgotten, with characters like Coqueline and Dark Vlad being standouts.
horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason): Qilby. He’s great, but he absolutely has it coming.
eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell): Oropo. Such a disappointing final villain! Especially when compared to Nox and Qilby.

Screenshots of Episode 13 of Wakfu Season 3
Outside of battle, the newest member of the Sadlygrove family proves himself to be something quite special indeed, before everyone rejoins once more on the main stage for the final showdown.
Outmatched and out of time, one ultimate sacrifice ensures that our heroes live another day. It was a sacrifice made out of love... But...Is it all really as good as it seems in the end?
For a realm of Gods, Inglorium seems...Empty.

Wakfu AU Chapter 4
Yesss my lovelies, it has returned. Sorry for the wait, I hated myself too much to write, but I'm okayer now so here you go!
Chaos. Chaos everywhere.
Coqueline whistled and the animals fled. The trappers flailed about, trying to catch them, but were unsuccessful. The two ran into the clearing and started yelling. They distracted the trappers further than they already were with the fire. Soon, the animals had all fled.
“See ya!” Coquiline sprinted into the woods. “Good luck!”
The fire was slowly but surely calming down, and Yugo thought that this was the perfect time to leave. That was when the trappers found the baby boowolf that had somehow gotten left behind.
They had surrounded it, the tallest with an odd-looking chain in his hands. He was getting prepared to tie it up.
Oh hell no.
Yugo dropped through a portal and came out going for the tall man. Someone else hit him at the same time.
And it was war.
They all fought each other, not knowing who to go for. Yugo fell on the ground and saw the boowolf running for the treeline, nobody else noticing. He internally congratulated it, glad someone was getting out of this. He felt his ankle being latched to someone else’s. Suddenly, a man caught on fire and ran away, the rest of the group following, trying to put him out. As they disappeared into the treeline, he turned to look at who was next to him.
Adamai.
That explains the fire.
He felt the ground crack and realized where they were.
The cliff. With the waterfall. They fell into the water, and he couldn’t see anything. He couldn’t do much else other than thrash around and try not to drown.
He felt himself fall. They were going down, down, down.
They crashed into the water. Yugo swam up, dragging his brother behind him. He made it to the surface and swam for the edge of the river. As he climbed up, so did Adamai. The dragon walked away a bit but was pulled back a little by the chain that apparently wrapped around their ankles. It was the same one that the trappers tried to use on that boowolf. Adamai turned, glared at him, and yelled:
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! ARE YOU STUPID?! I HAD THEM! AND NOW LOOK!” He gestured to his ankle, which was still attached to Yugo’s. “WE’RE STUCK AND IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT!”
Yugo hadn’t slept in days, he was dirty and hungry, and he had just fought about ten people and fell off a cliff. Now Adamai was shouting at him. Suffice it to say, he was not backing down today.
“MY FAULT?” He yelled back. “YOU’RE THE ONE WHO SET THE CLEARING ON FIRE AND RUINED MY PLAN!”
“YOU RUINED MINE! I WAS GOING TO SET ALL OF THEM FREE WHILE THEY WERE DISTRACTED!”
“NO, I WAS-”
“I DON’T CARE, YOU RUINED MY PLAN! YOU JUST RUIN EVERYTHING!”
“I DO NOT YOU LITTLE-”
Adamai jumped at him and they started fighting. They couldn’t get far apart, so Yugo didn’t even try to get away. He just kept fighting.
They punched each other, kicked and shoved, and Adamai even ripped his hat.
Yugo and Adamai eventually kicked each other apart and sat with their backs to each other.
“I can’t believe you,” Adamai muttered. “We’re all wet.”
“How is that my fault?”
“We just fell off a cliff.”
“Oh, really?” Yugo turned his head with wide eyes as he raised his eyebrows. “I didn’t notice.”
“Oh, don’t you start on me,” Adamai growled. “Why are you acting like this?”
“We just fell off a cliff.”
“Oh my-”
“Well, we have to figure out a way to get out of this,” Yugo gestured to the chain. “Can you shapeshift small enough to get out?”
“No, it’s a magical chain.”
“Of course it is.”
“Yeah, I can’t do that, but I can still breathe fire.” He side-eyed Yugo. “And I’m not spending another second attached to you.”
As he was facing away from him, Yugo tested something out. Yes, he could still make portals! Sweet!
“Uh, Ad, you don’t need to,” he stood up to face his brother.
“Shut up.” Adamai got ready to breathe fire on the chain. He was fireproof, so he’d be fine.
“Ad, wait-”
“Shut up!” He breathed in. Yugo grabbed the chain to try and give it some more slack than three inches, but it wasn’t working.
“Ad, seriously, wait-”
“SHUT UP!”
“ADAMAI!” He blew on the chain and felt …nothing. The chain did not melt away. He was so mad now. He didn’t want to be here, especially not with him! He stopped blowing while Yugo started yelling about something.
“Well now what?!” he yelled. “I’m stuck out here, chained to you!”
He turned away from his twin in anger.
“What were you even doing out here?!”
“Looking!” Yugo’s voice sounded strangled.
“For WHAT?!”
“YOU!” Yugo screamed, sounding like he was… crying? He had sounded mad though. Well, not mad, just, upset. He looked at his twin and-
Yugo was
He was cradling his hands.
Oh. OH.
“Oh. Oh my-” He crouched down to his brother, unsure of what to do. “Yugo, Yugo let me see your hands-”
“No!” He hid them further, tears rolling down his face.
“Yugo, please!” Adamai certainly didn’t know where this had come from, a moment ago, he was yelling at his brother, but those thoughts were pushed to the back of his mind as he began to panic.
Yugo thrust his hands out toward him, unable to bear it.
Oh, these burns were bad. They looked like second-degree burns, which was not good.
He couldn’t treat these. He would need actual bandages, not just the mud-covered clothes that Yugo wore. These could get infected if not treated properly. If he got an infection, he could lose his hands. He couldn’t lose his hands.
They needed to find an Eniripsa.

Note
I'm rewatching the episodes in French and Dathura hasn't made a reappearance has she? She just up and vanished.
Sorry to keep you waiting. First I had to take some screenshots and then my laptop's battery was always on the verge of giving out, so I couldn't just sit down and answer sooner.
But honestly, yeah! I actually wanted to point that out too!
Tumblr media
Compared to the rest of the Brotherhood of the Forgotten, Dathura's disappearance is just plain weird. I watched an interview where Tot revealed that, unlike what the Kickstarter trailer might suggest, the demigods wouldn't really play a major role in season 4. And honestly, that's fair. Given the show is about the Brotherhood or the Tofu and, more importantly, they had just learned their purpose in life ended up being their being manipulated by a megalomaniac with daddy issues, realistically, I wouldn't want to have anything to do with action for a while either.
There's of course the fact that each of them asked to be sent to completely different locations and had very different goals. For example, Coqueline, Kali, and Sipho just wanted to pick up the pieces of what Oropo and especially Echo started and live as a family. And despite both of them ending up in Bonta, Ush wanted nothing to do with Black Bump.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which makes Dathura's disappearance from the main plot all that weirder. Because she is about the only demigoddes who has any business participating in the main plot by virtue of her actually being there.
Seriously, once again, the Sadida Kingdom is at the very centre of everything. They're the Nécromes main, or at least first, target. And yet, there is no sign of Dathura helping out as the powerful demigoddess she is despite her accepting Amalia's invitation to live in the kingdom and even going as far as remaining by her side the entirety of the third episode.
She was never even introduced to Armand and Aurora despite both of them being there when Amalia returned with her. Made all the more jarring by the fact that she remained by the princess' side even as she mourned her father's death and the next day (?) she just...vanishes with no explanation?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seriously, out of all of the members of the Forgotten, the two with the most reason to have a bigger role in season 4 are Dathura and Ush. The former because she is supposed to be living there at the time of the Nécromes' attack, and the latter because he was the one who informed Joris of what was going on.
Tumblr media
In Ush's case I can understand he decides to stay on the sidelines since he isn't exactly a hero, he mostly just does his own thing. But Dathura's disappearance can be very jarring.
What, did she awkwardly leave Amalia to mourn her father while she went to check in on Ogrest?
Oh, well. The season's been great so far and I don't really have any trouble with this. It's just weird, it's all.

Here is a tiny doodle of Adamai and Ush.
HUGE RAMBLES BELOW!
It’s rlly just me rambling about what could’ve been for the Siblings and their dynamic!
——————
I wish these two would’ve interacted, specifically Teeny Ush since he was in the Siblings since young.
I feel like it would’ve been fun to see this tiny cat guy be a little shit to this Huge Looming Dragon Dude who is So Serious I Swear.
It’s a fun dynamic. Adamai is a sweetheart and we all know it but during the last season, acts very looming and serious. I know he’s genuinely trying to be but I can’t see it as anything other than Ad trying to be badass so badly and it works off but we also KNOW he’s a sweetheart from before so like.... pls. I wanna see his reactions to Ush’s games, we saw oropo played with ush so why not Ad be seen too?
I feel like the last season lacked a lot of actual relationship building between the siblings, something I think should be essential for them all to be working together. They’re a very varied group of demigods and for them to work together and be able to be balanced with Each other, especially as Oropo wants them to beGods, is basically essential. I know the focus was on Oropo and the brotherhoods shenanigans but I think it would’ve been fun to explore those dynamics!
Mischievous Ush playing his games with Adamai and Oropo, maybe actually angering the former and seeing his reactions. Would probably make for some good jokes!
Coqueline and all her animal friends, as well as the Sram demigoddess we see holding her. Also, her relationship to Echo!!! Dame Echo is like a mother to her, to many of them I think. Seeing those three’s dynamic would be lovely!
What’s Vlad doing??? Is he just always isolated in his level? You serious? Nah. Maybe some Ecaflip / Iop fights or games! Interesting indeed as their fighting styles are almost opposites, Ush being calculating and pensive while Iops not really thinking about it and just going into the fight, though they both enjoy it.
That Weird Feca guy... well idk actually I still find him unsettling. I don’t understand why we couldn’t just work Otomai in here instead. He isn’t aware that Oropo planned Ogrest’s rage, so that would be an even Harder Crack in the reveal! Plus, we don’t know about his feelings towards his God parent, though when Echo mentions it in the extra “book” episodes, he seems shocked and a bit hesitant/ tentative on saying anything about them.
Arpagone!!! Being a grandma to Coqueline and socializing with Echo. While she is lovey with ruel, she is very much a rough tough enutrof, seeing the contrast with Echo’s very gentle appearance ( despite her angry crow thing form ) would be interesting ! Maybe something about Toxine in there too?
Speaking of Toxine, we basically know nothing about her other than her dislike for Echo and Echo’s relationship with Oropo. She’s bendy toxic girl but what else? Does she like any of the other siblings or is just in it for the benefit? If she is just in it for the benefit, why did oropo let her in?
Anyway these are just my rambles of what could’ve been. Actually expect some doodles of these because I adore them and want more development. I feel like Ankama stuck to the “this is a badass villain/ antagonist set piece!” And then implied bits of their personality but did not show them. I want to see it! I want to see the slice of life of these characters because they’re interestinggggg
Anyway I leave you with that tiny ush and big adamai. I think it’s cute
