“The Great Wave” wakfu manga FINALLY has a summary :
Tumblr media
Back then, it didn’t show up but now that we’re closer to the date episode 0 drops (April 14), they finally revealed what the first volume of the manga will be about.
Here’s the translation :
“ Thanks to the will of the Sadidas and the Eliatropes, Toross Mordal and his army of Necromes were defeated. Amalia became queen of the Sadida Kingdom alongside her husband, Yugo, king of the Eliatropes. But just as life seems to be returning to normal, Yugo has increasingly disturbing visions and Aurora, the wife of Amalia's brother who died in battle, returns to the kingdom to claim the throne. ”
Alright so first of all, I’m loving the fact that Ankama labelled Yugo as Amalia’s husband cuz it just feels so nice to hear it again 💕💕
Second of all, these visions with Yugo better not be Toross or else I’m gonna throw hands at this crusty ass mummy.
AND THIRD OF ALL, i did not just read that Aurora would come back. Like I knew that we would see her again but did she really just have THE BALLS to come back?? To a land that she fled??? During the middle of a WAR that could have WIPED THE ENTIRE RACE SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO LEAD if they would have lost???
What is she trying to prove here??? Does she really think the sadidas and eliatropes are gonna welcome her with open arms and pretend she didn’t just do shit during the fight and left like a little bitch???
Omg the nerve of that hoe.
She’s trying to take back the throne?????? Gurl according to who??? Why are u coming back???? Did ur daddy also tell you to do that??? You just listen to ur daddy and never actually act like a woman with a brain???
I hope she gets jumped. I hope she gets spit on. No seriously I hope that wave annihilates her so she can be part of Yugo’s body count.
Cuz honestly who is brain-dead enough to come back to a kingdom who they fled during the middle of a war and have the audacity to claim that you will take it back from the people who saved it and almost lost their lives for it???
Is she an actual bimbo???
Wait no, not even bimbos would do this shit.
She’s just a trophy wife omg….
She’s so constipated, I have literally never hated a character like this in my life.
She’s trying to take away what belongs to Amalia like bitch who tf asked you to come back???? Also what makes you think people WANT you to come back??
How can you convince the people to come to your side when you’re known as the coward queen who didn’t do shit and left??? How can you convince them when you’re competing against a literal god-king who possesses artifacts that can surpass the gods such as the six eliatrope dofus AND the Eliasphere, and a productive queen who’s already doing so much and has been loved by her people since she was fucking born??
I’m far confident to say that the people would rather have a deity and a heroine than literal garbage.

Wakfu : some words from its creator
Today, Tot posted a tweet about Wakfu on X. He shares his vision for the series and talks about the upcoming webtoon.
I translated the tweet in English below but here's the link to Tot's post: https://twitter.com/Totankama/status/1768938315409994040
Tumblr media
TRANSLATION FROM FRENCH below
Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you very much for your support. The last episodes of Wakfu Season 4 are now available on Okoo, and I thank you for watching them in such large numbers. Our partner is very pleased with the results, which allows us to consider the future with peace of mind. Your feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are delighted about it. For us, it's the most beautiful reward.
However, some of you have expressed disappointment, particularly regarding the narrative arc of Flopin and his grandfather, Madagaskane. You also want to know more about what happened to the gods.
Allow me to explain the follow-up about that and our narrative intentions.
Firstly, as you know, the Krosmoz universe is constantly evolving. Nothing is ever completely over. Each of our creations always offers you an adventure that concludes but leaves other questions unanswered.
This is somewhat our trademark and is closely linked to the number of media we are dealing with simultaneously. Let's take, for example, the Dofus movie. Joris' story ends, and the entire adventure unfolds from our hero's point of view. Who trapped Julith? This information isn't provided, as we've kept it for potential follow-ups and connections with other projects. It was a "key" piece of information, but it didn't prevent you from focusing on the journey of our little hero.
For Wakfu, we operate in the same way. During writing, I choose one hero's perspective, and it's their storyline that I will favour. I don't want to neglect the others (because I love them just as much), and some narrative arcs may be started and then picked up in other media. I understand this may be frustrating when you prefer one character over another and feel they're not sufficiently highlighted. During this season, I clearly favoured the Eliatropes and their family dynamic.
We can never know if what we offer in animation will have a sequel. I've already explained the reasons why. Consequently, narrative choices have to be made. Some might say, "In that case, don't start anything new". Honestly, that would be really sad, and the whole thing would have less scope.
You have to imagine the Krosmoz as a living, gestating organism. Just because you don't have all your answers now doesn't mean they won't arrive soon or very soon.
In concrete terms, the webtoon/manga "The Great Wave" will allow you to reunite with Yugo and Amalia a few months after the end of Season 4.
Flopin and Madagaskane have a story in development. We've opened a door for these two characters with the idea of creating a beautiful series focusing on the relationship between a grandfather and his grandson. We didn't "forget" them; on the contrary, we'll give them a lot of space.
The story of the Goddess, Rasha, and the gods is at the heart of Waven [t/n talking about the MMORG]. You'll learn more about them through the game. It's a topic we'll also address in a potential animated sequel. In fact, it's a storyline we've been working on for years and is one of the most important ones to come.
Regarding the Mechasms, however, there are no plans for them, for reasons I may explain in detail one day. This doesn't mean we won't see them again, but I'd like them to remain completely mysterious, with their intentions unfathomable.
I understand this may be frustrating for some because these projects take time to develop. But if you take a step back, you'll understand that it also allows us to position ourselves in the long term.
We work on the Krosmoz universe over time, with the means at our disposal, and depending on opportunities, we may be more or less ambitious.
Thanks to you and your presence, we're breaking viewship records, and the future looks bright. I hope we can move forward with amazing animation projects faster than we have done so far and quickly provide answers to your enthusiastic questions.
Thank you and see you soon, Tot.
[T/N: This is my translation of Tot's tweet. I'm not a native English speaker but, I hope you can understand what's going on.]

Yugo and Amalia will be back on April 19th for the continuation of their adventure in the form of a manga! 10 chapters will cover the events that will lead to the Great Wave which will end the age of Wakfu and begin the new age of Waven.
Tot said that he chose to the sequel in the form of a manga because the themes covered will be too dark for an animation. He wanted the animation to end on a good ending for the people only watching the show.

Wakfu Manga - Tome 4, Part 1
Tumblr media
During every tome his character bio is mostly the same, save for little rephrasings, and yet it's always such a blast. The Brotherhood of Tofu has bewitched him.
Tumblr media
I'm insane... I'm crazhyy.
Tumblr media
Imagine being an Eliatrope demigod whose entire purpose is chilling and inspiring others to chill. Like imagine spending millions of reincarnations chilling and there's no war or tragedy, besides maybe the fact that you often outlive people due to being a demigod (but even that is remedied by the fact that you have 11 siblings).
Now imagine a war breaks out and shit. Maybe it breaks out twice. God knows if they reincarnated between these two, though they probably did.
NOW imagine that, after defeating the baddie, — even though you're the demigod of chilling, you spend thousands of years in absolute silence in cosmos trying to catch your deity mother's psionic suffering waves to rescue her, and THEN you face a fate worse than death.
Wouldn't it be fucked.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There are some very good Joris moments in this volume — though the peak was in tome 3. He looks pretty interested in this, for obvious reasons.
Tumblr media
Of course YOU would know about century-long art projects, century boy.
Tumblr media
The fact that an entire planet is just gone and lost is very tragic to me. They'll never know their home, even if the World of Twelve is also home to them.
Tumblr media
STOP BEING CUTE!
Tumblr media
Not him standing menacingly and looking right at the reader 😭🤣
Tumblr media
He is getting so much enrichment from this. So much mental enrichment, like a cat.
Tumblr media
He always knows when to say something ominous and scary.
Tumblr media
Very good Joris expression.
Tumblr media
HIS FANGS. HIS FANGS. HELLO?!
Anyway, this being the face he pulls after seeing a past incarnation of Yugo come to terms with his immenent death and never seeing his brother again, is so Joris-core. Of course he'd go "🤨"
But despite his chipper attitude here, his mood and curiosity start to rapidly deteriorate after this moment:
Tumblr media
I think that for Joris "I am afraid of being alone so thank god my father and uncle are together with me for centuries and remember me after dying, because I don't know how I'd live otherwise" Crepin-Jurgen — talks of actual proper reincarnation with memory loss are scary and exhausting.
He didn't exactly have anyone to tell him what Kerubim and Atcham would be like, after reincarnating. Maybe he spent the couple of years that they were kittens and couldn't talk, fully convinced that he lost Kerubim forever.
That's bound to leave a mark on a person.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's especially horrifying and off-putting because of how casual Adamai and Yugo are about death and forgetting. Joris has always valued memories — they may as well be all he has of some of the people he loves, at this point. It's the reason he gifted them his fishing rod — in a way, it is a memory of Khan.
Yet, every time Yugo and Adamai die, some new version of them — a version they won't have control over, a version who will forget everyone they have loved up to that moment, — will spring forth and take their place. They'll have new families. "They" probably had hundreds of children and hundreds of lovers in the past, but were those people even them? Is it going to be "them" after they die?
He likes Yugo and Adamai a lot. The thought that someday some strangers may take their place is... a lot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can't discuss this scene without including these two entire pages, because something very interesting is happening here:
Joris, quite carelessly, lifts the pillow that contains two precious items, with an annoyed expression, before aggressively questioning Adamai.
I really think he hates all the reincarnation talk.
Anyway, he has very visible fingernails again. Nail polish win.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The fact that sexy femboy Baltazar is exclusive to Wakfu manga is oppression against teachers and education workers.
Tumblr media
Joris is worried that something bad happened, but it was just inter-adventurer party abuse, which is normal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's so ready for this bullshit to be over.
Tumblr media
Standing a very asocial distance apart from everyone. As is the usual <3

The more time passes, the clearer it becomes season 4 was peppered with lots of little details meant to foreshadow the events taking place in the manga, especially in Amalia's arc of the story.
As I once mentioned to my friend @alittlebookdust, one such detail is the way the characters are arranged during the assembly. More specifically, how the Sheran Sharms appear as opposed to Aurora.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As we can all see, Armand and Amalia are on the same floating rock, representing their people, whereas Aurora is standing on the same rock as her family, the Osamodas. This is an early indication of where her true alliance lies.
During a first viewing, it's easy to explain this as Aurora having gone to her kingdom to visit her family and make sure they're alright, so it only makes sense she would arrive at the assembly alongside her birth family rather than with her husband and sister-in-law.
However, what makes her positioning all the more suspicious is the fact that, despite seeing her husband and even interacting with him and Amalia (if the contemptuous greeting they send each other can even be called a 'greeting'), she makes no effort to move and stand alongside them.
That action or lack thereof is very telling, since she is supposed to be the new Sadida Queen, meaning she would be expected to stand beside her King and the Sadida Princess in representation of their kingdom. And yet, she remains exactly where she is during the entire assembly.
Keep in mind we're talking about a woman who has the power to turn into a bird to fly from one place to another. Leaving her family's assigned rock to stand next to Armand and Amalia should not have been a problem.
In fact, this isn't the first time ToT and his team have used visual keys to showcase Aurora's true nature and the effect it has on Amalia and Armand's relationship. After all, as we all know, her bangs covering her eye is a deliberate choice meant to portray how she's manipulative and hides her true nature behind a curtain of fake kindness and "well-meaning" intentions, just like she was located right between Amalia and Armand during the dinner scene to illustrate how her presence was an element meant to disrupt the royal siblings' relationship.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Therefore, it would not be far-fetched to believe the creators are once again using visual elements and hints to deepen the interactions and motivations of the characters, as well as to hint at future developments.
In this case, through those frames and narrative choices where Aurora remains with her family, the Wakfu team is already telling us so much about her and her true character. The fact that she never entertains the thought of leaving her family to join Armand and Amalia in representation of the Sadida Kingdom comes to show once again how Aurora was always meant to be the Sadida Queen in name only and, thus, undeserving of the title after Armand's death and Amalia's coronation.
Deep down, she's always been an Osamodas princess looking out for her own kingdom's best interests, rather than the Sadidas': as these frames show, her place was never beside the Sheran Sharms.

Wakfu Spoilers
Remember when Oropo said that Yugo would do worse than using the 6 dofus? And that he will probably have no choice?
And if what the eliatrope goddess says is true, then maybe something will happen between Yugo and this thing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But since it's its heart that is powerful, and some people theorize that Yugo might die. What if Yugo has a new heart? After all, the manga illustration could make us think something like that, especially with this light in his chest.
This theory is probably far-fetched, but only time will tell.

One thing I love about tumblr is that people just rant and yap about their fav tv shows and special interests, and boy do I eat that stuff up like crazyyy
So that's why I decided to talk about Wakfu s3&s4 and the issues I have with them😝
Right off the bat, one of the things that confused me most was the blame game in s3/s4. Yugo is made responsible for all of the major tragedies that had afflicted the World of Twelve up until now, which c'mon, there are so many factors that contribute to the Nox, Qilby, and Ogrest incidences that you can't just pin it all on one guy. And yet, the show does just that, revealing in s3 that because Yugo messed around with the Dofus to save the world from an early Great Wave, the Eliotrope race was created, which people were the ones responsible for leaving the Eliacube with Nox, allowing every event thus far to be made possible. Oropo preaches that since Yugo is the creator of the Eliotropes, the latter is therefore the one to blame, not the villains who exercised their agency in making decisions to harm others, or the Eliotropes (who I think have their own consciousnesses and wills, making them entirely separate from Yugo other than shared likes/dislikes) or any of the world leaders who failed to unite and take action, basically forcing Yugo to take drastic measures in the OVA episodes. I don't know, I just can't understand how the show shoulders all the blame onto Yugo, when clearly, he isn't the major instigator of these massive tragedies. Sure, his actions have allowed the seasons' villains to do what they did, but ultimately, the villains chose their paths as well.
Another thing that threw me off was Qilby's character and how he is forgiven through an 'ultimate sacrifice' despite having committed heinous crimes in the past. I still don't know what truly happened during the Eliatrope war (I don't think anyone does, because the game, manga, and show all explain it differently) but going off the manga, if I remember correctly, Qilby stole Orgonax's heart and christened it as the Eliacube, using its power to sate his unquenchable thirst for experimentation and exploration.
Tumblr media
This enraged Orgonax and his fellow Mechasms, who at the time were peacefully coexisting with the Eliatropes, and a war subsequently broke out between the two races. The Eliatropes flee, end up at the World of Twelve, Qilby CONTACTS THE MECHASMS to come to the Eliatropes' new planet, ANOTHER WAR BREAKS OUT, yada yada, you probably remember the rest of the story from how it's detailed in s2. In the last episode of season 2, Qilby is labeled a murderer, being responsible for the massive loss of life during the Eliatrope/Mechasm war, namely the one to blame for the deaths of the Eliatrope children's parents. One of the Eliatrope children dubs Qilby as the "assassin of their parents" which title Qilby does not deny, but rather responds with "shut up." It is made known that Qilby wishes to drain the World of Twelve to power the Eliacube and the Eliatropic spaceship, the Zinit, showing a frightening lack of concern for other people and planets. However, in s4, this all seems to be forgotten?? Qilby's past crimes are never mentioned, the most we get is Yugo calling Qilby a "monster," but other than that, nothing!! Don't get me wrong, I love Qilby as a character - I think he's the most interesting season villain in Wakfu - but this blatant disregard for his past was so strange and frankly frustrating that it made the whole "Qilby-forgiveness" thing seem so... idk, undeserved? The show treats Qilby's wrongdoings in such a light-hearted manner, that it almost feels inappropriate. Genocide of an entire race is no silly matter to be throwing loaves of bread at (which Qilby quite literally does.)
His sacrifice for Yugo was also extremely out of character. I'm not French, but in the s4 episode where Qilby is dying after saving Yugo from Toross, Qilby says something along the lines of "before we are enemies, we are brothers" which oh mannn WHERE WAS THAT IN SEASON 2??? And then as Qilby dies, he says, "Good luck, my brother... my king," indicating that Qilby now acknowledges Yugo as the owner of the Eliatrope crown. But I find that so hard to believe, as in the manga, the whole reason Qilby harvested Ogornax's heart, and started a series of wars, was because he was angry that Yugo was crowned king, as it halted the Eliatropes' exploration of the cosmos.
Tumblr media
((Some quick appreciation for older manga Yugo. We need this design back immediately🙏)) Why would he accept Yugo as his king now? Was it all an act to get on Yugo's good side to ensure Yugo saves the universe that Qilby hopes to explore and exploit later in the future? Or am I just reading too much into it? Also, we can't forget that Qilby is quite literally insane, and was shown to harbor dark feelings against Yugo after having been imprisoned for thousands of years in the White Dimension. Add that to what I said earlier, and you begin to question how and why did Qilby suddenly change attitudes in Season 4? Lmk your thoughts because Qilby still confuses me.
Because this post is already getting quite long, I'll touch on just one more subject that annoyed me in s3/s4: Yugo and Amalia's relationship. I do love them, but I would've been just fine, maybe better, if Yugo was not romantically involved with anyone. Anyways, s3 picks up where the OVA left off on their relationship; they're both mutually attracted to each other and have a desire to be together. However, there is one major roadblock, which is obviously Yugo's physical appearance. There are other issues as well, but this problem is the most severe. Due to biological differences, Yugo ages at an extremely decelerated rate compared to Amalia (I think just the 6 main Eliatropes suffer from this, as the other Eliatropes seemed to have aged regularly in the manga.) He appears as he did in s1/s2, just slightly taller, but he looks like he's around 13-14 years old. Physically, he's actually around 20-22 years old, and Amalia uses this fact to help justify why is okay for them to be together, describing him as "a man in a child's body." (Idek where to begin or how to feel about that, but oh-key...) Some time after, Yugo and "Ruel" (Sipho in disguise) have a talk about the former's feelings towards the Sadida. Yugo feels conflicted on whether his feelings are romantic or not, and voices his frustrations concerning Amalia's failure to listen to or understand him. He also talks about how he's struggling to grapple with his longevity, and what that really means for him in the long run. Whaddya know, Amalia is eavesdropping the entire time, and begins to cry and grow irritated with him. To me, it seems like she failed to see the central issues Yugo is dealing with: 1) He doesn't feel ready for anything serious because 2) He's likely going to live for thousands of years. She instead gets peeved that he's still hesitant on his feelings and that he called her egotistical (which girl, c'mon you can't complain when you literally called him the same thing moments before in front of Ruel and Elely.) Heartbreak is hard, but this outcome should have been expected. Yugo looks like a child, Amalia looks like an adult, and if they were to be together, it would super weird and inappropriate.
A lot of other things happen in s3, but I do want to touch on Oropo and Amalia. Oropo takes Amalia alone and kisses her in the sky, and Amalia, after discovering Oropo's physical likeness to Yugo, lets him kiss her again (in front of Yugo no less) She even defends Oropo when Yugo tries to challenge the Eliotrope, telling Yugo basically to give up, and that she no longer needs him now that an "older, more experienced" version of him is now in the picture. At the very least, I'm relieved that Amalia shows that she wants to be together with a physical adult, but also, girl?? Some guy shows up, claims to be basically the same person as your crush, and you just roll with it? Dawg be fr. Anyways, Oropo's intention of basically blowing up the World of Twelve in order to destroy the gods comes to light, Amalia decides he's a freak and goes running back to Yugo. She gives this little speech of why Yugo's better than Oropo, Yugo and her hug as a way to make up I guess, and then they kinda(?) kick Eliotrope butt (they escape thanks to Echo ((rest in power queen)) but a win is a win.) Season 4 comes out and they're backing to holding hands, hugging, and giving goodbye kisses. What? Like no, I'm sorry, but they have been fighting on and off for the entirety of the last season and they still haven't talked together about the things Yugo was meaning to discuss on the Enutrof level, but now everything is alright? I was sure that the 'Oropo kiss' incident would be brought up in s4, but it never was. On top of that, despite having shown resistance towards pursuing a relationship with Amalia in s3, Yugo throws all cares out the window in s4, and just does whatever. She becomes his motivation for everything, which idk, I kind of don't really like it when a character makes their love interest their sole reason for living??
I could talk more on the Yugo/Amalia relationship because there's so many more issues that I did not cover in the above paragraph, but I think I'll just leave it at that. I'll put this out there, I do like s3 and s4, and it's really a shame s4 only got 13 episodes to cover a story I believe could've been super successful with 24 episodes. However, s1 and s2 will always be my favorites😋
I guess that's all, I would love to hear other people's thoughts and opinions on s3&s4 because it'd be interesting to see if you guys saw the same issues I did in this "critique."
(Also, just want to credit HumanDisapointment on Reddit for the awesome colorings of the manga pages!)

Untitled post wakfu Alternate Universe
In this au, Arty doesn't get resuscitated by the gods after his sacrifice. Instead his soul is allowed to return to his dofus and he is reborn as Ignmikhal much later, losing his humanity and his memory in the process.
Since then, Goultard has repressed A LOT of memories and feelings to be able to handle life and to keep on living as normally as possible after the events of the dofus manga. He could simply have not functioned otherwise. His mind had to in order to protect itself.
The wide majority of his memories regarding the Symbiote and Arty (both are intrinsically linked since Arty freed Goultard) being repressed created a new personality/alter in Goultard's system, Vanya, that holds onto these erased memories and embodies the trauma that resulted from being with the Symbiote for around 1400 years, as well as the trauma of losing Arty.
By now, Arty is just a very vague memory, more of a feeling to him than a person Goultard actually remembers... Arty is the fire that burns in his chest and makes him keep going, not give up. The light of a dead star thousands of light years away still reaching him to guide him through the darkest nights. A sort of incorporeal guardian angel. But remembering him truly and acknowledging the loss would break Goultard.
The premise of this au is that a catalyst event (I have two possible ideas but can't decide which one I like more) abruptly forces Goultard to face painful forgotten memories and emotions, awakening Vanya (who he had no idea existed).
Here's an older post about Vanya. (Not pictured in the post is the Symbiote introject who inhabits him.)
He manages to stop him from completely taking over, but barely. (Possibly ends up seriously endangering his friends because of it). He's going through intense flashbacks and is flooded with unbearable emotions. He's hopeless but his sick mind tells him the only thing that can cure him is the crimson dofus. He goes alone to find Ignemikhal.
Having to face him, seeing that the dragon doesn't recognize him, clearly doesn't know who he is, that there isn't any Arty left in him, makes him go berserk and they fight. Just like during their very first fight, Ignemikhal/Arty has the upper hand. Vanya, losing, too exhausted and hopeless to keep fighting, gives up and let's the dragon start eating him, slowly killing him. While this happens, the crimson dofus (or rather Arty's soul and essence subsisting inside it), through Goultard's inner world/headspace, tries to communicate with its former guardian and forever loyal friend. Goultard, drowning in his own mind, grabs onto Arty's spirit and refuses to let him go.
A mix of Goultard's divine powers, his utter despair, and Arty's desire to help Goultard, creates an energy surge that essentially short-circuits and rewrites the crimson dofus' programming, forcing back his past incarnation by force. Bringing arty back.
They both get rescued and brought back home by the tofu brotherhood.
Arty is back but some things seem different about him. He has more control over his powers, he has an easier time using them than before. But has a much harder time controlling his draconic nature, behaving in very "animalistic" ways by moment. Struggling to understand and/or suppress new confusing urges. He has more draconic features physically as well. He's kept a few memories from other incarnations (before and after him) and also remembers sensations from when he was "inside the crimson dofus". He remembers feeling Goultard's presence, his heartbeat, his emotions, his warmth, when he was inside him.
Goultard is seriously injured after his fight with the dragon. He keeps the crimson dofus in him. According to him it helps him "stay stable and stop Vanya from taking over". Is this real or is it just what he thinks? Who knows.
All of this means some of the people who know about this are very much against it, and think whatever Goultard did to make that happen was an unbelievably stupid mistake.
Goultard still seems very unstable (he is, Vanya does come back when Gou is going through intense emotions, sometimes co-fronting with him.) And letting him have the crimson dofus could turn out to be extremely dangerous. But it belongs to Arty and it's his decision to let Goultard have it.
Some of them also really don't trust Arty and think he could be dangerous as well.
Most importantly, Goultard and Arty are now both tethered to the crimson dofus. Nobody knows exactly what it entails since this has never happened before. And it's gonna take them a while to understand and learn to control this new power. The crimson dofus being "reprogramed" by force could be terrible and risk affecting the balance of the universe that the dofus are supposed to keep.
Arty doesn't feel comfortable with most people calling him Arty. Calling him his "human name" is reserved to only a few people he fully trusts, it's sort of a privilege (Gou obviously, and later Kerubim because he was a friend of Crail, maybe some other people as they get to know one another.) Others call him Ignemikhal or just Mikha for short.
Arty, as well as his new dragon related issues, has to deal with the fact he was basically dead for around 650 years. The world has drastically changed. Which makes him realize how little he knew it. (They go looking for Crail's farm where arty grew up but the land it used to be on has long been covered by the sea after the flood). Almost nobody remembers or even knows that he destroyed Bonta and the same thing is true for how Goultard's reputation has changed over the centuries. Their fight against the Cornu and Arty's sacrifice have almost been lost to history (it isn't common knowledge at all) and the statue built in their honor has long been replaced by something else. Goultard tries to sound optimistic about it (although he himself despises immortality) and calls it a second chance. But Arty sees it in a much more nihilistic way. He's now acutely aware of his immortality, and that oblivion is inevitable.
Everyone he knew and cared about except for Gou is now dead. Which makes him realize how few people he knew and cared about. He hoped Goultard would have known at least a little about what happened to the other guardians. But he disappeared and never saw or heard from them again after Arty's sacrifice. All he knows is they all went their own way (except for Dodge and Ejipe who stayed together). Thinking about Lily being all on her own after his death breaks Arty's heart. Goultard starts acting weird every time Lily is mentioned.
Goultard is extremely upset about the distance that slowly grew between him and Arty after they formed the guardians, when Arty started showing more attention and affection to Lily, and less to him.
The last moments they spent together before Arty's death left a very bittersweet taste to Goultard. He can't help but think Arty was ultimately going to abandon him for Lily but died before he could. His feelings of dependency on arty and his attachment and abandonnent issues are back and he struggles to keep them in check.
This eventually leads to conflict as Arty gets increasingly more annoyed and confused at Goultard's behavior. Who refuses to explain until confronted.
Kerubim and Arty form a very cute bond. Kerubim is overjoyed to finally meet Crail's grandson and loooves telling Arty old stories about him and Crail, their old master Nabur, and the other guardians. With Kerubim's help, they find out more about Lily. Who after taking the ivory dofus back to Bonta, decided to become an huppermage and dedicated her life to protecting Bonta and the ivory dofus. Her and Jahash knew each other well and she was a kind of mentor to him.
Goultard can't move on and heal from what he went through in the past until he accepts and confesses his true feelings for Arty. After it finally happens, Gou and Vanya "absorb" each other, integrating.
Arty and Gou have gained new abilities thanks to their connection with their dofus. They can sometimes communicate telepathically, and feel each others emotions. They also have the ability to fuse (steven universe style lmao).

A Wakfu manga webtoon will be arriving AFTER Season 4!
Today, the Waven forum of Ankama, have announced that after Wakfu’s season 4 (that will start on February 9th), there will be a manga webtoon arriving AFTER the fourth season!
Tumblr media
Here is the full translation:
“The most hungry and motivated will continue the adventure and keep on looking forward after season 4 (no, no you’re not dreaming!) to a manga webtoon. The manga webtoon will be available on Friday April the 19th which will have an episode each week!“
We have no idea what the manga webtoon will be about but we do know that it will take place after the events of season 4 so look forward to April the 19th!! 💖💖

WAKFU Chapter 10
SPOILERS
.
.
.
.
There was no real surprise in this chapter.
As expected, the suspected schemers were indeed behind the poisoning.
I can't believe I was right about Julith's ability! She's too OP! But bless the illustrator because Julith looked amazing in both her true form and in her Sadida disguise. 👌
Amalia might get kicked out of the Kingdom or, at least, lose some much needed support from the Sadidas, once they get news of her "unjustified" attempt to murder the Osamodas royals and Armand's unborn heir. Amalia was wrong to attack without proof and in public, but she was glorious 🙌 .
Tumblr media
I still strongly dislike Miss Chicken and her father. However, that fight really highlighted their relationship dynamics. The old king and Aurora might be manipulative, patronising, prideful, greedy and hypocritical, BUT they care deeply for one another. Wholesome villain moment!
Yugo and Adamai have that MC plot armour going for them but the Angst is lurking ahead. They are both too weak to fight off Rasalar and Julith. The twins are more likely to be tricked by the Ebony Duo, than landing a punch on one of them. I don't know why Rasalar seemed to be "helping" the brothers. Then again, that could be a trick. For all I know, he could use this to get some good points from either Yugo or Adamai, divide and conquer with some talk no jutsu and BAM back to their Eliatrope Dofus.
I want Rasalar's meddling to be the trigger to Yugo causing the Great Wave (or something). Like a self-fulfilling prophecy.
On a side note, Rasalar's chara design is still SUPERIOR. Why are the antagonists always so well designed?! The mesh of dragon and humanoid traits really suits that character. His true form is still visible in his more humanoid one.
Tumblr media
I just wanted some wholesome Wakfu moments. Why is everything Grimdark?!
Real question. When will the Webtoon start again?
I've heard Ankama was planning 100 chapters or so. With a confirmed Project Season 5, I hope Ankama won't have to pull too many resources from the Webtoon/manga project for the sake of the cartoon. I don't want an axed/rushed ending tbh.
Sometimes, I hate being right.
