I've been feeling very artistically paralyzed (due to stress) so all I have to share are some traditional scribbles of my slugcats-

The Listener, the one with funky ears, was adopted, the one with 6 limbs is new though! I'm still working on them, but the idea is quite basic; am extra set of limbs at the front, equipped with big claws. No idea how to call them tho-

I might digitalize the sleeping sketches if I make it before my internship begins ;w; (Monday)

Yeah, so while I was on my "I'm going to read into Vanny/Vanessa as much as possible" journey, I noticed an odd quirk in her animations in how she moves. At first, I thought it reminded me of a ballerina, 'cause she's kinda tip-toeing, & she has this way of keeping her head & chest in one place as she moves, but I looked again & realized --

That's not ballet! She's doing a tight-rope act. Like, look at this one:

This is like standing up on the wooden boards before you do the actual tight-rope walking, & the ring leader is hyping you up as you do some fun movement for the crowds. &, then, these:

These are all instances where she walks with one foot directly in front of the other. In that third, she's doing the "woaaah" wiggly-ass balance movements & everything, as if she's swaying up at the top of the tent, even though she's down on solid ground.

Idk, I feel like the way her feet are placed isn't accurate (pretty sure they should be pointed left & right, not both forwards...) doesn't make this 100% correct, but I like it. It also connects back with her first SB teaser, wherein she's up in the rafters.

Behold! FairGame comic!!! Clover and Qrow fit the roles of the Happy Prince and his Swallow friend eerily well, I must say.

The prompt for class was to pick a fairytale and give it a new genre. And like, fairytales, retold stories, what choice did I have really but to do rwby?

Go read the original story by Oscar Wilde, all the comic’s text is a direct pull from his writing, and plus then you can see my vision. I have the whole script planned out in my brain, where Qrow learns to be less jaded by helping Clover, and the ending kiss brings Clover dramatically back to life (instead of killing Qrow, like in the actual story) bc magic happy endings idk.

Since Dream and Blue hcs are on my mind here's one I put in my drafts like a month ago and never remembered to post:

Dream thinks he had a crush on Blue, even though he didn't.

They're both some flavour of aro/ace and don't realise it (or possibly even know that it's a thing).

Dream had never really given much thought to romance or anything like that, other than when he and Nightmare were kids and the villagers would mention it and they'd both go "ewww gross" and move on. He'd also never really had a super close friendship besides his brother, the villagers were nice but they were also kind of using him so it wasn't that deep.

So when they started hanging out and Blue was so full of positive energy and joy and always eager to help and interested in Dream's stuff and showing him all these new things and being so nice to him... Dream suddenly realised oh no, is this romance?? Do I wanna kiss and get married right now???

(It wasn't, he loves Blue so so much but it's all platonic)

So he tried to keep it a secret out of fear (fear of ruining the friendship if something went wrong, fear that Blue wouldn't like him back like that, fear that he had no idea how to court someone and what if he got it wrong???) but eventually he ended up confessing it to Blue, who took it super normally and sorted everything out with a simple talk.

SIKE he actually gave Dream the full Papyrus date treatment.

He took Dream to his favourite place (his room, where Dream had already been several times) and put on his coolest outfit (which Dream had already seen him wear several times) and tried to impress him with gifts and food (this is genuinely just like, a thursday for them none of this is new).

Eventually he hit Dream with the "OH NO. IT'S CLEAR YOU'VE FALLEN MADLY IN LOVE WITH ME!!" ("I have?? D:>") and confessed he didn't wanna kiss or get married or any of that other stuff, but he would keep being Dream's coolest friend and help him through this difficult time, much to Dream's relief.

And they went right back to normal and are as close as ever. The only difference is sometimes Ink brings it up to embarrass Dream. The end.
