Walter Darling:

If he was human he would be mix being Black and Puerto Rican.

Grow up in New York City, never knew his dad and his mom (Puerto Rican/Black) took care of him. She soon die from a terrible illness. Walter became homeless, and grew up in a Religious Orphanage.

His teenage age is where he rebel; smoke cigarettes, smoke weed, drink, steal, anything. He hung out with the bad crowd to fit in. Later when he left the orphanage, he wanted to be a big shot- famous! Have a lot of money, he hated being poor. He hated being homeless. So he did whatever it took to be a music producer with a help of a certain friend.

Anyway, he met Chantelle at a music studio hearing her beautiful singing. Man got bad fashion always wearing funky colors when he was young. Until he dated Chantelle, she taught him how to dress.

They were in love and got married. Then boom, had Wally. Certain events lead to Chantelle and Walter to divorce; one of them being Wally being Autistic and the breaking point was Wally's ability to eat with his eyes. Chantelle filed for a divorce.

Walter ended up living in New York City in a fancy condo, being a very successful music producer.

Wally grows up having to jump back and forth living with his dad and mom. Unlike his mom, his dad is way to easy going, laid back and let him do whatever he wants. One of the reasons, Chantelle had to file full custody. Walter had drug and alcoholic problems which push his ex wife to have full custody on their son.

Chantelle only allowed Wally to stay with Walter in the summers for a month or two, but that would be it. Until Wally graduated from high school, he went to college in New York City. His dad gladly let him live with him.

Until... Wally at 19 year old found his dad murdered in the condo. (won't mention much for the fanfic. 🫣)

Legal entrance, Matt KNOWS how to enter in style, and I lost my fucking mind when he did. Side note, their legal back and forth was PERFECT.

MATT HITTING ON JEN IN THE BAR??? THE SASS??? SIR. Me whsipering the whole time, 'get him jen get him jen', but also Matt sliding in some good advice for her, because he may be snarky and sassy but he's also a kind, intelligent, thoughtful person and I loved that. He'd also be someon3le who absolutely relates to using both sides for good.

THE CAR AND FIGHT SCENE??? Matt just bouncing around??? Matt taunting and practically begging for Jen to slap that ass into next week? 100% the correct audacity level for him. Also he absolutely wants Jen to roll him, good for you baby

Excuse me the LEGAL FOREPLAY while FIGHTING I am LIVING for this, Jen trying to talk Frogman down while Matt wanders around kicking ass. "The gold ninja devil is a lawyer too???" "I just watch a lot of legal dramas." MATT STOP. I love them your honor, and I missed this boy. 😭

And not only did we GET our Devil back, we got to see a side of him we'd only ever caught glimpses of in the Netflix series! There's a sense of happiness with him, as if things are actually going good for him right now, and I LOVE that. We deserve to see all sides of him, what he's like when he's beaten down and when he's happy. I loved this! I NEED TO SEE IT AGAIN. I'm also so happy I could cry, fr. It's been so long since we've seen him in any substantial way. Having him back after years without means so much, and I felt like this was very much our Matt. And if you read TRT, this snarky, happier Matt completely vibes with my TRT!Matt, how I see and write him, and where I plan to have him end up - happy, Jane's rubbed off on him, confident.

As for my prediction for next week: matt represents her!

omggg, Happy birthday! I'm SO sorry for the late reply, my entire house lost power and I lost wofo connection for a bit- and I hate to say, I had to give up on the challenge due to a whole bunch of things bombarding my way- I do have photos and stuff to make it up. I hope you had a great birthday!

what is wally's personality like in your classic rock au? is he kind of an asshole like actor wally? how tall is he compared to OG wally? and what is his relationship like with the other puppets?

Ah, all very good questions.

I would say that Walter isn't so much an asshole but rather more of a grump. The music businesses just kinda drained Walter, and he's become more pessimistic towards it and life in general. I imagine his monotone is dripping with sarcasm.

His height is a fun question. I imagine that they're all closer to human proportions in this au, and Wally is 5'10", but with his boots on, he is about 6'1"

(The tallest is Howdy at a whopping 6'7", and the shortest is Julie at 5'3".)

His relationship with the other puppets is complicated. They're basically a family, so they bicker and sometimes wanna rip each other apart, but Walter loves and respects them, and if anyone messes with them, he will put an end to that person, lol
