hello syd! does walt ever babysit au baby? does she ever have play dates with holly (or is there too much of an age difference, i'm not sure)?

hiiiii march 🥺 occasionally, yeah!! never really of his own volition, but it does happen, especially towards the End of the series where skyler is aware of the operation and reluctantly helping out. initially, walt is almost like. Vaguely Disgusted by baby because of his disgust towards jesse and the notion of him being a father, but those feelings sort of have to fade after jesse is hospitalized following the first tuco encounter and walt feels obligated to take care of baby until he's released. he passes her off as the child of a coworker at the high school ("her mother is really struggling right now. i know it seems asinine to babysit right now given everything that's going on, but she's in a rough place and well. we would want someone to do the same for us when holly is born, right? 🥺") and even though skyler is still a little puzzled, she of course accepts her. spending that bit of time with baby and seeing how distraught she is to be separated from jesse softens walt significantly, but he still doesnt think very highly of jesse as a father. it almost sort of makes him think the opposite, that baby should live with a family like theirs instead (<- man who thinks He is a good family man)

when skyler becomes Aware of the business and that baby belongs to a Different kind of coworker, she sort of takes on the duty of baby alongside her other duties of buying out the car wash and coaching walt. for a lot of the time that walt and jesse are cooking in the super lab, skyler is bringing baby to work at the carwash with her along with holly just to make things run smoothly ("shes the daughter of one of ur father's friends" skyler says when flynn asks why his mom suddenly has two babies). baby is ten months older than holly, but they can still have a vague approximation of "play time" together with the Classics like stacking rings and buttons that say "moo" when u press them. even though skyler approaches all of this with a sort of clinical outlook, she is definitely endeared to baby and likes that holly is able to play with another infant given their family's lack of. Social Time with other families. she even misses her once gus offers to put baby in daycare.

walt also ends up looking after baby several times during that period between him poisoning her/blowing up gus and jesse realizing that he poisoned her. the poisoning incident almost makes him love baby even more: the knowledge that he now has jesse's complete and utter loyalty and affection empowers him. it's like a man successfully having two families at once and getting everything he wants from both of them. skyler knows about jesse, jesse knows about skyler, and he can still get both of them to do what he wants. baby is as much His daughter now as holly. he's able to control her!! he poisoned her and baby still loves him. it's almost an accomplishment to him. the winner took it all!! (<- man who doesnt know that jesse is about to figure out what happened and go fucking postal)

12. Does your OC's family practice any faith or religion? Does your OC still practice? Why or why not?

demi's father came from a converted christian background and her mother's family practiced shamanism. sam henry was pretty firm on their family being christian but since he was away so often, their actual church attendance and worship was spotty and josephine was able to teach her kids some shamanism and tell those stories in his absence. their actual religious affiliation deteriorated by the time demi was a teenager, so she never felt particularly aligned with one or the other. currently, she doesnt practice any religion (demi voice: do u ever think about god and just kind of. feel nothing?? jesse voice: All The Time), but she has gone back to shamanism a few times to reacquaint herself with the faith so she could tell baby about it as it pertains to their yupik culture. demi appreciates and respects it, but shes never felt particularly moved by any faith or spiritual practice

14. Who was your OC's first love? How do they remember that person now?

demi had a few crushes in middle and high school, but her first "love" was a boy she met her sophomore year of college in an applied chemistry class—peter. he was from anchorage and had the kind of bright eyes and radiant smile that demi was used to seeing in celebrities; seeing that smile was enough to turn her to jello. demi was able to muster the confidence to talk to him since they were in the same group for class's lab component, and was just enamored with his intellect and easygoing confidence. the latter kind of reminded her of samantha, how she so easily slipped into any conversation or social arrangement. it was a trait demi had always admired. they got lunch on campus a few times and hung out and even made out, but demi eventually realized he wasnt really interested in having a relationship with her. it was like she was a practice round for him before he moved on to a "better" girl. for a long while demi just misses peter, but her recollections of him become tinged with bitterness and sadness as she gets older and recognizes how blasé he really was about her feelings.

21. If your OC could speak to their childhood self, what would they say?

oh my god. "it's going to be ok. it's going to be so hard, but it's going to be ok. u deserve peace and ur going to get it. the world is better because ur in it, i promise. don't let anyone convince u otherwise."

4. name a movie you put on to laugh to

"the birdcage"!! almost every single joke in that movie hits for me, robin williams and nathan lane are infinitely endearing.....its one of those movies that will have me giggling and smiling before the opening credits are over

9. guilty pleasure movie?

another huge guilty pleasure movie of mine is "alvin and the chipmunks meet wolfman". a big part of it is just nostalgia (i used to watch that movie so much i could recite it), but i cant help it man, i love those stupid little chipmunks and i love the catchy ass songs.

19. name a movie so bad it’s good

"the book of henry". it is so incredibly, unfathomably bad, but everything about it is so bad in such a weird, mind-blowingly confident way that it loops back around into becoming a modern masterpiece. ur telling me hank schrader is beating maddie from dance moms???????

39. in your opinion what is the most underrated movie?

this is a tough one because sometimes i have no metric of how much people actually appreciate a film, but i have to give this question to "trainspotting 2". i typically have zero tolerance for sequels to perfect films, but "trainspotting 2" is a fucking incredible film with some of the absolute best filmmaking danny boyle has ever done. the "no more catholics" scene, the parking garage chase set to "relax", the way spud's suicide attempt is staged?? the fucking final zoom-out to credits?? theres some annoying "we live in a modern society" shit in it, but on the whole, "trainspotting 2" is fucking amazing and should be talked about more just In General

shigella is a genus of bacteria thats responsible for a portion of food poisoning and has a specific toxin that can trigger bleeding/clotting disorders like thrombotic thrombocytopenia purpura and hemolytic uremic syndrome. if it were a type of pasta, it would be one that makes u throw up, bleed out, and die after u eat it ❤️
