I wanted to make a more idfk “clean looking” digital illustration since my style relies on your eyes filling in the gaps a lot of the time (vague hair, not knowing where lines are supposed to end, smaller drawings, etc) I DECIDED… to try to do line art again.

And I don’t really DO comics all that much. And comics require (usually) that more “clean looking” line art style and WHATEVER. WHATEVER. ITS DONE. ITS NOT LONG ENOUGH OR DETAILED ENOUGH TO BE A “REAL COMIC” BUT WHATEVER

She says “a boy” and the background is in green to represent what Tsu KNOWS about her crush on Izuku but NOT about toga, nor does she really know the full extent to how she’s thinking about her. So since she’s bashful rn she has to lie to Tsu bc yk gay gay homosexual gay (and also villain) AND YOU GET MY POINT OKAY. It’s also why I crossed out the boy in pink bc girl equal pink ITS NOT STEREOTYPES ITS SYMBOLISM FUCK YOU

So, the same people who made the 4chan Goodbye Volcano High parody game are working on a remake/spirital sucessor to it with fully original, legally distinct characters and plot elements. I'm bringing this up to you because supposedly, a prolific GVH fan artist was going to work on the game but got kicked off the dev team after they found out he was gay. The game's protagonist, a paraplegic alligator meant to serve in the same role as Fang, also go redesigned twice because people kept calling her fat. It's just kind of ironic that somehow this tangentially GVH-related game has an even more chaoic development history than GVH itself.

I've heard of I Wani Hug that Gator! but I haven't looked into its development just yet, only that I heard whispers that the dev team was trying to rush it out before GVH releases. But looking up the game's story and characters, it really does look like a retread of Snoot Game but Legally Distinct™ so they can sell it this time instead of relying on crypto donations.

But I'm not surprised to hear any of that. The leader of Cavemanon Studios is purportedly a Mormon, which is why the Snoot fandom barely draws any porn of the characters, just "wholesome" art or reinterpretations of the game's endings.

The reasons for GVH being delayed - letting go of their lead writer and redoing the story, a global pandemic, avoiding crunch, and dealing with an ongoing harassment campaign that has not stopped since 2020 - are at least reasonable explanations, and KO_OP devs have said it's now "content complete" and on the final stretch of development. Wani's development seems like a bunch of infighting and weird internet guys shooting themselves in the foot.

I'd say I wish the Cavemanon team well, hope they mature and fix their hearts, but you'd have an easier time convincing Elon Musk to stay off Twitter. They made their bed in 4chan, and now they lie in it, whatever that entails for when they want to go "legit".

Summary:  Written for the Reverse Big Bang Challenge, to illustrate the beautiful art work below, by Saph0000 (qr-sa on tumblr).

Her prompt was to write something about WWX and LWJ ascending to become deities; I took the liberty of slightly crossing over MDZS with Heaven Official's Blessing for the worldbuilding, and set myself the goal of bringing a smile to the faces of Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen.

So: a story in which the newly-ascended bunny gods set out to give Jiang Cheng's love life a boost, and find a way of cheering up Lan Xichen along the way.

Four Days in Lanling

Summary:  Nie Huaisang looks at him. ‘You are confusing me, Clan Leader Jiang, perhaps I misunderstand, but…’

‘You didn’t misunderstand. You don’t misunderstand. You understand all of it.’ For six months Jiang Cheng has been mulling this over, and now with Nie Huaisang in front of him he can’t figure out if he most wants to knock him down or kneel at his feet. What he does is try and breathe. Clench his hands at his sides. ‘And now I am going to ask you to do something for me. You have to do something for me. You have to help Jin Ling.’

My comments:  Oh, my. This was entirely surprising. Some years after Wei Wuxian dies, Jiang Cheng spends some time with Nie Huaisang, who is very subtle about manipulating him to see some of the rotten things going on around them. (And perhaps finds himself very drawn to the occasional flashes of surety and control that Nie Huaisang shows.)

As Huaisang points out at the end: ‘They talk a lot about goodness, down this mountain,’ Nie Huaisang murmurs. His hand remains at Jiang Cheng’s throat, a loose hold, and the other has gone into his hair. ‘But no one tries to be good quite as much as you, do they?’

Summary:  There is nothing except for the mere millimeters between them and the warmth of Nie Huaisang’s hand; there is no world outside his bedroom door. There is no space for anything else. There is nothing to lose, because they have both already lost all that there is to be lost.

All that remains is a need — for warmth, for no questions, for a line that doesn’t ask to be crossed. And for now, it’s enough.

(But things like this never last.)

Summary:  A fake relationship for the sake of revenge had sounded like a good idea to Wanyin at the time.

Excerpt:  They decide to draw out the first two weeks. It starts slow. Huaisang mentions how they don’t have to start dating immediately, but rather can act out that pre-dating flirting phase. Week one reserved for spending time together—nothing too drastic, just talking and laughing and looking like they’re having a good time. Huaisang will come onto the music campus most days to have lunch with Wanyin, and they’ll spend their free time at Wanyin and Wuxian’s apartment. The whole point is that they need to emphasize they’re crushing. … Week two is when they start implying that they’re exclusive. That means hand holding. One public kiss per day—preferably when Wuxian is watching—always slightly bashful, always something more innocent like hand or cheek or forehead peck.

“The honeymoon phase,” Huaisang elaborates. His hand was visibly shaking when he wrote the word ‘kiss,’ and Wanyin would tease him for it if he also wasn’t feeling increasingly embarrassed with every moment he looked down at the paper. They needed to guard it with their lives. He would never be able to live it down if Wuxian found this. … They keep getting distracted during the list. By the end of the night, however, they manage to have their week three plan ready. Four kisses and hand holding, every day, for the next seven days. They’ll plan for week four next Sunday.

Summary:  Holy shit, he thinks. That’s it! Maybe nobody else can see it, but Nie Huaisang’s eyes are sharp and trained from years of reading crappy romance novels. There’s definitely a spark of something between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, and Nie Huaisang can suddenly see them as the protagonists of his novel.

If you ask him, it’s not Nie Huaisang’s fault that he’s a famous author. The Cloud Recesses just didn’t have enough romantic novels, that’s all, and Nie Huaisang couldn’t imagine living without those - no excitement, no adventure, no life, how did the poor Lan disciples cope? So really. It’s not his fault, he was only trying to find some inspiration to rectify this problem!

But if this author gig necessitates that he matchmake Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji… well, he’s not complaining.

(Or; the one where Lan Wangji is struggling, Nie Huaisang unknowingly fixes a great deal of problems, and Jiang Wanyin did not sign up for any of this.)

It somehow gets worse.

Summary:  The Yiling Patriarch has often claimed that if he could bear a little Master Lan for his husband, he would do so. When the impossible finally happens, Wei Wuxian and his husband are over the moon as they get ready for the arrival of their little one.

When Nie Huaisang and Jiang Cheng’s secret love affair is exposed in the most dramatic way, Jiang Cheng starts to question his feelings for his longtime friend. Could he be in love with the Headshaker? If so, will Nie Huaisang ever agree to take him back after he messed up so royally?

Meanwhile, Lan Sizhui and Lan Jingyi are planning to unite their lives, but wedding planning turns out to be way more complicated than they thought it would be at first…

My comment:  Wei Wuxian is pretty happy-go-lucky at this point, but even so, suddenly turning up pregnant takes him by surprise!

A gentle story, populated with a delightedly expecting wangxian, lans sizhui and jingyi planning their OWN wedding, a salty old midwife and jiang cheng royally fucking things up with his nie huaisang (to the displeasure of nhs’s chatty myna bird). (And Lan Qiren evaluating his life choices.)

Excerpt:  Jiang Cheng sighed. ‟Wei Wuxian, are you trying to double the Cloud Recesses’ population by yourself, or?”

‟Lan Sizhui wants a little brother,” Wei Wuxian argued innocently as Jiang Cheng tried to push him over the edge of the pier.

Summary:  Power is being drained all over the USS Yunmeng.

Meng Yao is struggling to control his emotions.

There’s a stowaway.

These things are related. Lan Sizhui is desperate to make sure no one finds out why.

The crew of the USS Yunmeng are distracted anyway. It seems like every time Lan Xichen smiles at Meng Yao a different couple gets together.

My comments:  This is a pretty precious series. Primarily POV Meng Yao (the betazoid telepath who’s uncontrolled outbursts of emotion are amplifying the emotions of those around him and also somehow causing power outages) and Lan Sizhui (an energy-eating being who is stowing away on the ship to try to get to safety… but who also has to avoid wwx b/c they knew each other some years earlier). A-Yuan (Sizhui) quickly is absorbed into Jingyi and Jin Ling’s circle, and remaining in the background becomes much more difficult.

Very sweet story. First time I’ve really spent any time with the junior triad, and I really liked them.

Investigation of 2 Tiny Worlds Photographers

Slinkachu

Slinkachu is an established British miniature photographer based in London. He has had his work collected in the three bestselling art books little People in the city (box tree, 2009) Big Bad City (Lebowski, 2010) and global model village (box tree, 2012). He started working with miniatures back in 2006 by remodelling and painting miniature train set characters. He then uses these mini models to place on the streets of cities all over the world It is both sculpture, street art installation and photography. The message he tries to get across with his images is loneliness, being overlooked, lost, and overwhelmed he does this to “encourage empathy with the tiny people struggling to get by.”

Visual

This photo Has a clear focal point of the subject about to jump into the pool of melted ice lolly this is because of the action the subject is making. This photo also has a strong composition as the lolly stick makes a great leading line as it leads your eye right to the subject the other model in the pool of water appears to be on the rule of thirds lines although the subject in the pool of water does not have a lot of contrast so at first glance it is not the first thing you look at. This photo has a very warm feeling to it as the ice lolly is melting on the ground and the colour of the lolly is a warm colour. This photo is full of diffused reflections this makes the photo appear calm and relaxing. Most of this image has a very smooth texture as the water in the image is very flat and has reflections the background also appears to be somewhat smooth due to a wide aperture. This photo features a lot of negative space as the top right of the photo is empty this allows your eye to rest from the busier bottom half of the photo.

Technical

This photo was Cleary shoot in daylight as we can see there is diffused reflections in the pool of melted lolly this lighting leaves very little to no shadows in the photo. The lens used to take this photo was most likely a macro lens as that allows you to focus very close to the subject and a semi wide aperture as there is a slight blur in the background and a low ISO as this was shoot in bright daylight conditions.  

Contextual

Slinkachu is a photographer who shoots on the streets this image is no different. Slinkachu specialises in creating miniature scenes on the ground and then photographing them.

Conceptual

This photo shows a warm summers day with two miniature figures swimming in a melted lolly.

Visual

This photo makes good use of colour as the red colour on the bank card pops out as it is so vibrant compared to the other colours in the photo. The red colour on the card also helps lead your eye down the miniature man hanging off the bank card. This photo has a very plain and uninteresting background as there is no significant colour to be seen. This photo shows a few different textures in it as there is the smooth texture of the bank card and the subject and then there is a slightly rougher background. This photo is full of lines almost all these lines point your eye from the right to the left of the photo except for the line going down the card. This photo shows a lot of empty space as the left side of the photo is left neglect. The way the subject is hanging off the card makes it look like he is holding on for his life or is on the brink of going bankrupt and just trying to hold onto what is left.

Technical

This photo was clearly shoot in daylight conditions as it was shoot at a cash point. The shadows seen in this photo are very soft this suggests the light was not very strong and was likely taken on a day with overcast or very little sunlight. This photo was most likely taken with a fast shutter speed as there is a lot of daylight available in this photo and a mid-aperture as there is a slight blue seen in the left side of the photo. The ISO used to take this photo would have been low as there is plenty of light in this photo this will keep wany unwanted grain out the photo.

Contextual

Conceptual

This photo shows a miniature person hanging onto a bank card this could either mean they are hanging on for there life or possible they are about to go bankrupt and are trying to hold onto whatever they have left.

Felix Hernandez

Felix Hernandez is a photographer based in Cancun, Mexico and he a digital and miniature artist who directs his own studio called Hernandez  dreamphotography at this studio he creates high impact photos and works with brands like BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, the red cross, top gear and so many more. Felix often works on location and uses photographic techniques to bring his concepts to life.

Visual

This photo really shows the miniature effect very well as there is a hand reaching to grab the miniature bike this shows us how small the bike really is as this photo compares the size of the bike to his hand. This photo features a centred composition, and it works well in this case as the wat the bike is placed at an angle and is very striking. The brick wall and garage door in the background of this photo give it a real rustic vibe as the way they are lit with the lighting coming from the right of the scene. This photo shows multiple different textures as there is the smooth texture of the bike and a rough texture of the background and floor. The blue in the background in the photo is very striking and creates contrast from the rest of the photo. The light in this photo is coming from the right-hand side and is quite harsh and is creating a shadow of the bike on the left of the photo the lighting in this photo looks to be artificial and shot in a studio.

Technical

The aperture used to take this photo would be narrow as we can clearly see what is in the background of the photo. As for the ISO I’ say its low as they is no visible grain seen in the photo. It looks like this photo was taken in a studio as of the way the light is coming in from the right of the photo and creating a shadow on the left. This photo was most likely taken with a macro lens as the subject is very close to the front of the lens.

Contextual

Felix Hernandez is a photographer who photographs mainly miniature cars and bikes this photo fits right in with that.

Conceptual

This photo shows a hand going to reach for the bike and also shows a comparison of the size of his hand to the size of the miniature bike this photo shows just how small the bike really is.

Visual

This photo features a grand background with the mountains this is a sharp contrast with the foreground of the subject and his car. This photo features a centred composition and, in this case, it works well especially with the man and the birds on either sides of the car. The textures seen in this photo are very rough from the log and rusty car in the foreground to the mountains in the background. This photo has two different moods to it as in the foreground you feel sympathetic for the man and the background with the mountains and blue sky creates a relaxing and calm mood this creates contrast in the photo. While there isn’t loads of colours in this photo the dark colours of the foreground contrast to a great extent with the light and slightly washed out colours In the background. This photo also makes good use of leading lines as your eye is lead right along the log in the centre of the frame this take your eye past the man, the car, and the bird.  

Technical

This photo looks like it could have been shot on location as there is plenty of mountains I the background or this could have possibly been done in a studio with a printed background either way the lighting in this photo appears to be coming from the centre and right as the man and the car are lit up well. The aperture used to take this photo would have been narrow as the whole scene is in focus. It also looks like a low ISO was used as there is no visible grain in this photo as for shutter speed this photo most likely has a mid/fast shutter speed as there is no movement caught in the photo.

Contextual

Felix Hernandez is a photographer who photographs mainly miniature cars and bikes this photo fits right in with that.

Conceptual

This photo shows a man with a car that looks like its past its days this makes us feel sympathetic for the man as he is in this stunning location with no way out.

I am already a part of Richiamo Pasir Gudang WhatsApp group. 

Few ppl I know will be there are Farahin, Athilia, Abang Haziq, Fiqri and Anira.

My shift today is 12PM, checked out at 8PM.

Interacted with Aisyah and Abg Haziq. Aisyah is a new part timer. 

Aisyah looked very similar to Maizatul Mustaqim. Her mannerism, as well. She accompanied me for Zuhr prayers. She used to work at Starbucks, the same with Chorr. Aisyah sell VS perfumes. She does house CODs. She doesn’t wear makeup, only lip tint. Aisyah originally worked at another Starbucks branch. After promoted to manager, she was transferred to a branch at Danga Bay. Aisyah also worked at kedai emas. She lives at Jalan Betik. Aisyah said the machine at Starbucks is at lot easier than the one at Richiamo. 

Chorr & Abg Aizul taught me to steam milk today. Will try again later. 

Abg Haziq is 27 yrs old. He is married. He used to niaga Char Kuey Teow. He has one kid. His wife sells Coway. Abg Haziq also used to work at Starbucks. He was unemployed for 2 months. He feels his wife doesn’t respect him enough. Or he feels challenged knowing his wife makes more than him. His wife is 23 yrs old. They got engaged when she’s 18. 

Farahin is KPop-obsessed. Kak Wani likes to watch Netflix when lengang. Aisyah likes to play with Instagram filters. 

Fiqri was morning shift. He focuses mostly on the kitchen. 

I learn that kitchen is the best place to be. Konon mcm tersorok sikit from the people. 

I’ve gotten the hang of handling pastries. 

Kak Wani is a very quiet person.

Ela and Khun live in and grew up in a working class neighborhood in Jaai City. Ela’s parents were street food vendors when she was growing up, but they’re currently retired and live with Mafueng’s family, taking care of Mafueng’s younger siblings. Khun’s parents were fabric salespeople, and are legally retired, but keep working just bc they like meeting and helping people and talking to friends at the floating market. Ela’s currently a marine veterinarian, while Khun’s a carpenter, and though the two of them make enough money to live a relatively privileged life, they give most of it back to the community and live in a cozy single-story bamboo house near Jaai City’s river; Khun built the house at the edge of the city so it’s not hard to drive to Mount Mabye if he needs wood from the rainforest (Mafueng helps him plant trees or bamboo shoots in place of the ones he takes) or if Ela, Khun, or Mafueng wants to visit friends in Manok Town

Sampa grew up pretty poor in Amugud Village, though they currently live in Manok Town. Growing up, their father did (and still does) tours of the jungle, and their mother was a math teacher, but is now retired. Sampa studied nature magic, botany, and architecture in college, and is one of the handful of town wizards of Manok Town. They’ve been locally recognized and won a local award for innovating new nature magic spells that use up less of a wizard’s own energy because they’re partially powered by the sun, like photosynthesis—though, not entirely by the sun, since that currently seems like something difficult or impossible to do if not a wizard who does sun magic. Around Mafueng’s sophomore year, they move to Jaai City and become a science teacher at ATA, since the old science teacher received and took a job offer they needed to move to the capital of Anthea for. Sampa earns a middle class salary, but sends excess funds toward helping people in Amugud Village receive the funds they need to go to school and buy school supplies. They really aren’t used to being a teacher and didn’t truly understand what their mother’s job was like until they had it lol

Ube - Volleyball! She doesn’t keep it a secret; she’s on the school’s volleyball team

Khe - He reads ahead in his textbooks for fun, but when not doing that, video games—particularly first-person shooters. He doesn’t keep either of these a secret and sometimes even brags about the first one. He would brag about his gaming skills but feels too angry, jealous, and embarrassed to do so in front of Ram, who is the best at first-person shooters in the whole school (she also notably uses a potion gun to launch her potions at monsters)

Mafueng - An abstract concept she’d want the most at the beginning of her character arc where she learns that she doesn’t have to beat herself up over not improving at her interests and hobbies  (studying nature magic, studying the Anthea language equivalents of Lao, Vietnamese, and Mandarin, gymnastics, martial arts, illustration, sculpture, graphic design, coding websites, cooking, playing instruments, sewing, etc.) fast enough (and then giving up on many of those hobbies, thinking she’ll never get better) is the ability to be as proficient as she wants to be in everything instantly. Later—when her perspective on things has adjusted and she realizes that it’s never too late to pursue a hobby (a real life example being that Stephen Hillenburg didn’t get Spongebob on air until he was 38…he didn’t start pursuing animation until after having studied marine biology for years in college and then having been a marine biologist for 5 years…if he gave up on cartoons bc he thought it was too late bc he was too old, we’d have never had Spongebob) and that, though she didn’t realize it before, looking back on her older work she had improved a lot—she’d just want more free time to be able to spend having fun with her hobbies and hanging out with her friends. When it comes to material things, she’d want rare plants she can’t find in the Fire Province, her own microscope, or opportunities to talk to wizards who’ve inspired her

Tao - An abstract thing she’d want is for people to be more sympathetic towards others, for example, for others’ first thought when looking at someone “weird,” i.e. just someone who looks or acts different from themself but is harmless, to not be a judgmental one. A lot of disabled people, including autistic people who stim, people with OCD who’re enacting their compulsions, people with hyperhidrosis who need to wear pads under their clothes, and people who are photosensitive and really need to get out of the sun get people writing them off as weirdos without considering they could be doing what they’re doing bc they need to or bc it’s just something harmless that helps them feel better. Sometimes she wishes she started studying sympathy magic instead of forcefield magic. A material thing she’d want is to be able to afford her own fashion taste

Zai - Coping with her emotions is very difficult for her, so an abstract thing she’d want is an OFF switch to turn off her emotions for a minute to be able to deal with her problems logically (of course, she’d want the ability to turn them back ON later). When it comes to material things, she’d 100% want plane tickets to other provinces to meet up with family members who’re living in another province, online friends, and to uplift the voices of people who speak the endangered languages she wants to learn more about and help make their people’s concerns and voices in general heard

The man holds him gently and proceeds to pick up the sleeping demonic cultivator carefully in a bridal carry.

- Lan Wangji sees this and furious is an understatement as he pulls Bichen and Wangji Qin out and charges at the enemy. Lan Sizhui’s calls for his mentor were ignored as swords clash, spiritual energy condenses and several disciples were blown back by the backlash of power. “Wh-Who is that?!To go head on with Hanguang-Jun on equal footing?!” Lan Jingyi curses as he holds down the barrier formation while keeping another disciple steady. The enemy quickly pulls Wei Wuxian closer to his side and pulls out a qin himself, and strums.The tendrils releases themselves from their master and time stops.

- Lan Wangji’s face pales as he stopped mid-attack, as realisation sets in.The unfurled tendrils attack in tune with the melody and impales Lan Wangji relentlessly while Lan Sizhui is the first to react and scrambles with his sword to attack the enemy, the disciples break out of their trance and follow his lead, while some approached to help their fallen senior.

- However, with another strum, the storm keeps them at bay, while the man carries Wei Wuxian, a dark sword pulsing in his hands and tears a rift, and leaves. Only then does the storm subside, leaving a ruined battlefield in its wake and dozens of injured cultivators and a broken cultivational partner. - It takes several weeks for the elders and Lan Xichen, Lan Qiren, to bring Lan Wangji back from death’s door. This boy had seen things that his other self had not. “And I am here to right the wrongs.” In another world, Jin Guangyao had won.Jiang Wanying was too late while Lan Xichen has fallen into Jin Guangyao’s control. The cultivational world once again has fallen into chaos, Jiang and Nie against Lan and Jin. Wei Wuxian had died that night at the Guanyin Temple. This time Lan Wangji had watched the strings tighten, the blood spilling from the neck of his beloved as his sacrificial body fell lifelessly onto the ground. Ya know I love jerza and I love that even though fairy tail has ended Mashima sensei still draws art.
