Logan groans. "Okay," he cautiously draws out. He sighs, tilting his head to the side when he meets Keegan's scarily unwavering gaze.

"Tell me what you .. want. Like, what you find is ideal."

"Okay," Keegan echoes, sifting back curls that have long since lost the resistance of his gel. He's overdue for a haircut, but Logan would kill him. He would kill him for a lot of things, to be honest. "I wanna be with you."

"That I get?"

"I love you, and I—" Keegan throws his hands up in exasperation. Logan rolls his eyes. "And I don't wanna lose you." Keegan finally finishes.

Logan exhales, before quietly sucking in air through his teeth that creates an odd sound, reminding them both just how heavy the slience is.

"It's not 'nough, okay? This? Sneaking around?" Keegan waves a hand to nothing in particular. "I want, I—"

"Stop." Logan cuts in. A sigh, maybe two. "I know this is tough, Keegs, but you and me— Ghosts won't have any of it. It'll be labeled as a distraction. Inappropriate, god forbid. Best to lay low, 'yknow?"

"I need more than that," Keegan finally says, "I need—" he suddenly closes the distance. Reaches for Logan's face, let's his gloved fingers brush over tender bones.

"I need you, Logan."

"Your lips are dry," is all Logan offers to that.

"C'mon!" Keegan groans, pulling away. Logan bites his tongue. There's a heavy slience that takes a toll, and Logan wanders his gaze back towards the fleeting treeline just outside base. If he thinks about the state of everything for too long it gets a little terrifying, the gentle tug on his hair during late nights, the warm body next to him, how much he craves to keep it, so he resolves not to think about it at all.

That is until Keegan speaks.

"I love you."

The words remains unaddressed, as if it was never meant to be responded to in the first place. Logan shifts, and Keegan meets his eye. Keegan's pleading, but his brows haven't unfurrowed. A sigh. Much heavier now.

"Yeah— yeah, I love you too."

Sylus who would hand you the world on a platter, if you would only ask. Who would rip his own heart from his chest if it would please you.

Sylus who wants to breathe in everything that you are and consume you from the inside out.

Sylus who can't even stomach the thought of another, because for him there's never been anyone but you.

Sylus who misses you even if you don't remember.

You know what? I’m feelin’ a Prompt with the whole halfa family, all the clones and everything. 

See, Danny? He’s grown up, he’s moved out, started looking at colleges himself after spending a few years travelling and learning about himself without the threat of a ghost attack. 

He’s kept in touch with his friends, both living and dead, and ignores Vlad for the most part now that they’ve reached a truce of sorts, and honestly? He’s just living his life. 

But see, it’s kind of hard to figure out what college to pick, with his admittedly not-great choices. Look, he might have a new-ish ID but he’s still visibly not exactly human (though thankfully doesn’t have to worry about the GIW after a… summer activity that ended with several missing buildings) 

And most people he goes to? Finds him ‘too unsettling’ which excuse him?? How is he unsettling? He’s a twenty-five year old with six kids ranging from one to six! How is that “scary” huh? Ancients, and all this is making him use the cash he’s saved up over time. 

And then- as though all of this isn’t stressful enough and he’s not genuinely worried that he won’t have enough money to feed the kids if he goes to school- a hero nearly trips over Jordan and starts freaking out. He is so fucking done.

also i talk about 'getting lucanis out' like it's an easy thing but i do genuinely wonder if he experiences cognitive dissonance over it all. surely he must know if he stays with the crows and stays first talon, he's stuck in this state forever. he can change things, but how long does that last? how many times has he thought, guilty, 'maybe after caterina dies, i can be free'? how many crows will be waiting for him to die, so they can go back to killing for coin without thinking of the innocents lucanis wants to save? how could he ever ensure that? and if he has kids (i don't even think. he wants kids frankly.) i refuse to believe he would abuse them the way caterina abused him. like how does he raise any child to take over a guild that is infamous for infighting. he doesn't need to look far to know how that goes. the dellamortes used to be 14 members strong, and within a few decades that number gets whittled down to 3. lucanis stays with the crows? it can be whittled down to 0. but the dellamorte legacy remains. how on earth could he ever extract himself from the mess he's inherited. how could he ever trust any other hand except his own

Testing Maintenance fan-comic WIP

This one is kind of old, I halted any progress on it since I struggled with the coloring and I wasn’t sure how to put together the middle. Mel’s written communication is surprisingly difficult to visually format. Long and short of it is an exploration of Mel’s apprehension upon remarrying even if she knows it’s a leagues better relationship than what she had previously. fun fact: I /initially/ had her spouse-to-be of ambiguous gender, but Virgil’s dialogue about both brides makes the scene and setting so succinct that you know what? Fuck it, canon bi Mel yaaayy 🎉🎉❤️💜💙🎉🎉
