What if the peak lords concluded that the most likely answer to the mystery of Shen Qingqiu's behavior is not that he's possessed now (because they checked and all the tests came out negative), but that he must have actually been possessed before?

No one thought to check him before, after all. They just figured he was an asshole. But then he suffers a qi deviation, almost dies, but comes back nicer. Only slightly lacking in context for his own past behavior and lifestyle, too.

It fits remarkably well, doesn't it? All this time the real Shen Qingqiu must have been trying to free himself from a demonic spirit that took possession of him in his youth! It was the demon who was the asshole, dragging his poor host to brothels, alienating his sect siblings so that they wouldn't investigate him too closely, abusing his disciples and probably weakening the sect from within as part of some nefarious plot!

But then the real Shen Qingqiu finally managed to beat back the demon himself, even being gracious enough not to point out what happened to his martial siblings and so save the sect's face. What a guy.

I was looking at the S.H.I.E.L.D.clearance level section in the Marvel wiki, and it's just. It's so odd??

Like the system is pretty standard, 10 levels, 1 being the lowest, 10 being the highest, being privy to more information as you go up the ladder. There's also some secret levels or files for specific eyes only

And overall, the people on it make sense. We know that agents level 7 and above had full details of what happened in New York, including the truth of Coulson's death. Directors of S.H.I.E.L.D., like Fury, are obviously level 10 and Maria, his right hand, was level 9. Pretty solid

Then I started going down the list, Coulson was level 8, as was Hand, and--

HUH??

No offense, Steve, but he really doesn't seem like the level 8 kind, especially bc we saw in Winter Soldier how upset he was that Fury didn't give him all the details of the mission (hinting that Natasha was at a higher level than he was). Again, no offense, but in many cases, he's not much more than a glorified foot solider. Level 5/6 seem a lot better suited for him than level 8

Not to mention that therefore he would've known about Coulson's survival, but moving on!

Level 7, again, pretty standard. May, Blake, Sitwell, Garrett's technically on there, too (although personally I would say 8 since he knew just as much as Coulson did and was also close to Fury), Ward, and--

BARTON?? NAT?? DAVIS??

So, essentially, half of the Avengers know that Coulson is alive and they're keeping it a secret from everyone else

And like. Davis is great and all, but I do not see any reason for him to be level 7, I'm sorry. Again, he should be like Rogers with a level 5

Look, if a job starts like a classic whodunit - some femme fatale calls you up, refuses to give deets and just calls a meet - one of three things is going down: you're dreaming, you're scrollin' a shit BD or someone's hazing you good. Think you can scratch the first two. First rule of "top secret" jobs - don't take 'em. First rule of working with politicians - don't do it. First rule of contacting the police - avoid it. And what do you do? Break 'em all at once. Gotta say, V, I'm a little impressed.

It was genius of btaa to say "Bruce gives himself nightmares on purpose via microdosing on fear toxin, so that he can come up with contingencies and strategies to avoid outcomes he wouldn't have thought of otherwise", and it was even more genius of btaa to simply not have Dick appear for the rest of the season with no explanation, implying that Bruce benched him off-screen to avoid risking his actual death. Which I'm sure the thirteen-year-old accepted totally gracefully

I found out AFTER primary today that the other ward is having the Primary sing for Mother's Day...which is in two weeks...which means I have one week to teach them a motherly song (I wasn't there last year to know which songs they might already know).

I think the best one to do would probably be "I know a name" because it's upbeat and gives the kids a chance to say 'i love you' a bunch of times and that's all i can trust them to do.

and that's setting aside the...whole thing about Mother's Day at church. I know for a fact that not all of these kids even HAVE mothers. how sensitive do i need to be about ... all that? it'd be nice to feel safe being like 'even if we don't have an earthly mother, we have a heavenly mother that's gentle and kind and true, so we can sing about her' but I am not sure that would fly.

anyway. we'll just see how it goes. there's lots of other mother songs if I talk myself out of that one. (like maybe I should save that one for Father's day and just switch out the names? idk so many things to think about). i'm not a mom but i feel like songs that wax too poetic about a perfectly happy smiling mother don't hit well either.
