Headcannons:

I feel like Vox would be the best out of the 3 in this scenario, as he's the least sadistic. Vox is a very protective lover, he's also compassionate and doting (behind closed doors). If Vox notices you (its really a matter of when not if because this man WILL notice) becoming overwhelmed or overstimulated he is gently guiding you away from the crowd to check on you, 'Are you okay?', 'do you want to leave?', 'is there something specific bothering you?' are FAQs (frequently asked questions) His way of dealing with the issue is removing you from the situation altogether- taking you back home, wether thats to your shared apartment or the Vee's headquarters depends on whichevers closest.

Scenario:

You and your fiance, Vox, are at a release event for the newest VoxTech drop. Vox is proudly harping about the newest Tech he’s developed, an even prouder arm around your waist; how could he not be proud with his pretty little love on his arm? (He calls you his ‘pretty little thing’, ‘little love’ no matter your gender or size) He’s so absorbed in his success that at first he doesn't notice the subtle tremble in your hands, or the way you curl into him as if trying to hide, or maybe the way you flinch at the bright camera flashes. But when you let out a barely audible whine Vox immediately turns to you, all ears.

Vox suddenly realizes how overstimulating this all must be; the flashing cameras, the loud and frantic crowd, the music in the background, the shouting, the rowdy demons who are protesting- oh god how could he have been so negligent?

Vox is immediately passing the reins over to Velvette (much to her dismay), and gingerly leading you through the crowd, towards the back door.

“It’s alright, lovely, just through here… There we go…”

His words are gentle, and the hands on your shoulders to guide you are 10x more so. He leads you out the back and to the limo, and once you’re sequestered away inside he just waits- He knows when you’re ready for touch you’ll initiate. He knows that for now, just the knowledge that someone is aware and looking after you is enough to help de-escalate the situation.

“There you go, doll, breathe yeah? In…. Out…. In…. Out… good job, love, doing so well for me”

Boyfriend!Valentino

Headcannons:

Val is definietly more of a 'what do you mean?' Kind of guy, or 'just breathe?', you know? We know from his workers (ahem angeldust ahem) that he isnt the most... understanding with weaknesses and the like. So- while I feel like Val's approach is a bit more 'deal with it by not dealing with it' than Vox's, it is still heartfelt for his wonderful gf/bf/partner. Even if he wont directly address it, Valentino is the type to try and reassure you through touch, wether thats what you need or not, thats what he's got because this man KNOWS he is brash and he doesnt want to make things worse.

Scenario:

You had walked to Valentino's studio to bring him homemade lunch after he was complaining about his imps being 'inconcievably incompetent'. You are now awkwardly standing backstage, out of sight, as he directs a particularily.... raunchy... scene. You are visibly uncomfortable with screams and various sounds of... mixed sensations.. echoing around the set, along with flashing lights and dizzying scents. Altogether they make an array of overstimulating inputs, and after setting down said lunch on a side bench, a pretty note tucked into the lip of the basket, you stumble back outside, trying to catch your breath. Val follows you shortly after, he caught sight of you from across the set.

Valentino carefully sits beside you, pulling you into his side.

"You alright there, babycakes?"

You shakily nod, but Val sees right through you. He sighs and kisses your temple as he absentmindedly rubs your shoulders.

"Thought I warned you 'bout my work hours, baby"

You slowly explain that you just wanted to surprise him with lunch and he smiles, kissing the inside of your wrist.

"Damn, sugar, shoulda started with that, hm? Why don't I pop in and grab it- then we can share it out here while you get your head back on."

Husband!Alastor

Headcanon:

This man. This. MAN. It can go one of two ways depending on where your relationship is with him- but in this you are married so- he would be so attentive- like. You would barely be feeling the 'oh hey, this is a lot' feeling and Al would pick up on it and knight in shining armor you away from it. Alastor just KNOWS. He has like a sixth sense when it comes to you. He is so finitly attuned to every fibre of your being that you cant even hide it from him. He just KNOWS. Like- you're in cannibal town (because be real y'all go on dates there all the time and Rosie adores you) and the children are being rowdy but 'its alright, i can manage-' oh and there's Susan- 'yes susan, we are married- no, no susan you cant see my ring im a bit worried you might try to eat my finger- No, really i insist-' oop and here comes Alastor, scooping you up with a charming grin, Rosie on his heels. 'Come along now darling, our dinner is waiting'

Scenario:

You and Alastor are in the hotels lobby, greeting guests for a party Charlie is throwing to 'encourage the inhabitants', Alastors hand is protectively on the small of your back like always. The arriving demons are a bit rowdy but nothing too bad- the real issue is the howling, rambunctious laughter coming from the bar, poor karoke all but screamed into the low quality microphone (much to Husk's annoyance), flashing strobe lights arouns the room turning the guests pink, green, blue, pink, green, blue, pink, green, blue-

"Dear?"

Careful fingers snap in front of your face- effectively lurching you out of your spiraling thoughts. You swallow thickly and look up at your husband, shaky smile plastered on your lips.

'Yes, Al?'

He frowns as he gaze flits from one eye to the other, then, his mind seemingly made up, he summons his shadow, scoops you up, and shadow travels back to you twos shared room.

"Oh lovely, this certianly wont do"

He dotes on you, rubbing your tense shoulders, kissing the crown of your head, murmuring sweet nothings to your skin as he lays you down in your shared, king bed. And later, once you're half asleep and content in his arms, he lovingly murmurs,

Soooo, you've probably noticed Ive been replaying HZD recently so my mind's been stuck on the franchise for a while.

I finally took the time to actually try and experience Burning Shores for the first time, this time with an unbiased opinion.

Bcs, ngl, when it came out, I was very negative towards it for a couple of reasons. It already started out with me not being able to freaking play this DLC, even though I was so excited for it, cos while HFW was on PS4, the DLC wasnt. And Im wasnt going to buy a whole ass PS5 just for a DLC.

(I will get it once I buy a PS5 for MH Wilds though).

And then, ofc, the elephant in the room - Seyka, or rather Aloy's relationship with her.

I'll preface this with, though it should be obvious with my content, I do NOT have a problem with Aloy being in a gay relationship.

What rly irked me, and honestly still irks me, is that Aloy finally gets to experience new feelings IN A FUCKING DLC. AN EXTENSION A LOT OF THE PLAYERBASE WONT PLAY.

The second reason I didnt enjoy this decision was bcs it felt so rushed. I mean, we're talking about Aloy here! Miss "I dont have time for feelings bcs I gotta save the world"! Miss "I barely just learnt to let others in"!

From what Ive heard, the DLC is over the course of a few weeks/months, so it's not like they fell in love just like that, but Ive also heard that while playing you do not get a feel for that passage of time. I'll have to experience that for myself though.

Now that Ive had some distance from the franchise though, my feelings have changed a bit

Im not going to lie and say I now loooove this decision. No, I am still miffed such enourmous character developement for Aloy is stuck IN A DLC. Not to mention that it was such a bold move to try this with a new character, cos this relationship being perceived well hinges on the player liking Seykay and that fast. Imo she's a fine character but also nothing special.

Now, I do have to say, I am really happy that Aloy has finally come so far that she allows such intimate feelings to develop, or rather, that the devs let her be this way. I know a lot of us still perceive Aloy as this single minded protag, that wont let anyone in bcs "the mission is too important", so Im glad Guerilla shows us that Aloy has undergone quite the growth.

Im also pleasantly surprised that Guerilla has the guts to include romance for Aloy, bcs they were one leg in the "strong women need no (wo)men" pit, so it's great to see they dont let Aloy fall into that trope.

Now, for the FUN part.

I actually have a conspiracy theory, ie I am gaslighting myself on why such a big thing is stuck in a DLC.

I think Guerilla is testing the waters to see how players react. I am pretty sure they can gather the data on what dialogue options players used, so Im thinking this:

Guerilla is trying to gauge the player reaction on a) Aloy developing feelings, b) players thinking Aloy is ready/willing for a relationship, c) same sex relationships. They tried killing quite a few birds with one stone.

I have seen quite a few teasing, winky face posts and replies from Guerilla staff about romance options in the third installment, so my guess (delusion) is that the relationship is hidden in the DLC so Guerilla can plan on how much and obvious to include several romance options in the last title.

I know this is all just wishful thinking, but even if Seyka is a good character, I hope to fucking god that they dont just take that relationship decision away from us, esp with a character bound to a DLC.

Guerilla gave us such a wonderful cast of characters over the last two games, and if they want to give Aloy an "end game" in the third title, I hope they do let us choose with who. Or at least I hope they dont force a relationship we cant choose onto us.

Cos as much as Aloy is her own person, it is still US that make the decisions in game. Through our individual playstyles , we give Aloy our own interpretation. Now, we cant change her core values, but still, I hope to GAIA that Guerilla will give us enough wiggle room.

ok wait hang on- about the skystar situation;

Sky being a representation of everything he left behind, an unwanted reminder of everything he left and burnt to the ground

sky was the best part of a bad situation but that didnt mean theyr relationship was healthy, just the least bad in a really bad situation

idk what stars current situation with the decepticons is in your au but if its anything like i think it is (abuse) then i see him as desperately trying to escape from one hell hole to another thinking that things would finally be better

but it isnt, and sky is back and with him everything he tried to bury in ash and cinder

sky isnt doing well either, waking up to a dead planet and a several million long civil war that ruined said planet would fuck up anyone

i wonder if sky just wasnt fully aware of stars mental state when they were in uni, they developed a sort of co-dependency to cope with the harassment and mistreatment they experienced daily, so it became normal, but i doubt there was any real trust, at least in stars mind

when sky “died”, he tried to find him, tried to get help, but when the doors were slammed in his face and charges were pressed against him, the weight that held back his rage let loose, sky was gone so there was no reason to hold onto this impossible dream, just burn it all and forget it ever happened

(Quick warning, this my Starscream’s Whole back story plus current stuff, I think it’s relevant so we can better find a place for skyfire.)

So in my au, Starscream was built for military purposes only. Made to fight. Seekers/ The high Guard, once trained and battle ready weren’t allowed to speak with normal cybertronians or allowed to even live in the city/roam it. Seeks have certain parts of them damaged or removed so they always will be different. He had no option to be his own person or even to rise above his ranks. Though he was a very talented flier, far better then the others, he’d be punished for over achieving. Just be the same copy paste model like the others. Starscream only knew the seekers and viewed everyone else as oppressors.

Cybertron currently had no wars and the seekers were sitting around collecting dust. The council decided that the seeker project was ultimately an unnecessary one and waisted resources. So they made plans to offline all of them. But they had to be smart about it. If the seekers knew they would be offlined they’d surely fight. The council constructed a plan to strip them of their weapons and put them through a press so none of them could fly and escaped.

Starscream being suspicious of higher ups having to relinquish their weapons for “maintenance”. Star hid his weapons. When they were taken to the facility to be offlined it was Star’s intuition that made him realize they were there to be slaughtered. He made a plan with the seekers who were with him to make their escape, and hopefully others would follow.

Starscream led the attack. The other groups of seekers followed and fought back. Even though they didn’t have weapons, they are still a highly train military unit. Most of those overseeing the execution were killed. And the facility burned to a crisp. The whole plan was a completely failure for the senate. The seekers went undercover in Kaon, where they made starscream their leader.

Starscream is a very look out for his own kind of guy. The seeker troops are his main concern while skywarp, Thundercrackers and a couple other bots are like family, to others he is just awful too, young and old. When Megatron came around starting the decepticon movement Starscream followed, with believe it or not, no intention of betrayal yet. He was second in command and was equal if not above others. It wasn’t until later when the war started to notice something with Megatron, he begun treating the seekers as expendable, sure there was a lot of them but it was concerning to starscream. Their numbers began to drop. Star begun to resent Megatron, he could be doing a much better job. When their planet was now inhabitable because of the war Starscream’s hatred grew. Still he didn’t have it in him to go up against Megatron.

It wasn’t until Star’s whole life got turned upside down, like a softball hitting the windshield of a McLaren. He was carrying a sparkling. That was something no seeker should be able to do, no cybertronian for that matter because their planet lacked the allspark. He took full advantage of the situation and could practically do and say whatever. He wasn’t really planning on raising it either. Plenty of others begged for it once the little thing was born. He changed his mind once she was born tho. She had to come out early because of an injury Star got in battle. Star fell for Slipstream, he never knew he was capable of love anyone so much. He’d give her anything even if it meant others would suffer. Of course he still took advantage of all the people who wanted to be a free babysitter.

But that wasn’t the only knew feelings. As Slipstream grew up and Star began to train her for battle, but the idea of her fighting made him sick. Trying to toughen her up when she just wanted to play or training her to run on little fuel and refusing her when she cried. It was killing him. He had to act like he didn’t like her too, other cons would take advantage of his new weakness.

Finally when she was ready, she started going on missions. When she came back very injured Star couldn’t pretend like he didn’t care about her. Megatron seemed indifferent to his and her suffering. Starscream used to believe that the over arching thing all transformers are made to do is fight. But now, he didn’t want Slipstream to fight, she didn’t deserve to be apart of this big mess.

So Star plotted. He found his opportunity to betray Megatron and take his rightful place as leader. It stayed like that for only a little while. Megatron came back. He was injured but was more furious. He gave Star one chance to step down and to keep his life. But Starscream opted for the other path, he would fight Megatron for leader. Star wasn’t just doing it for himself but mostly Slipstream to have a better life.

Star lost the fight. Megatron had pinned him to the thrown and began to punch and didn’t plan to stop till he got tired. Slipstream got in between the fight which made most of the cons jump. Megatron felt the little bit of empathy. He stopped but threw Starscream’s badly into the hole (a claustrophobic place Star goes when he’s bad.) and said if he wants to live he’ll come out of there. Star was expected to heal himself, but he really couldn’t. The injury Star sustained to his face was head spitting Invincible levels of bad. Knockout would heal him in secret.

When Star came back he’s has gotten incredibly good at groveling and acting pathetic. He’s stripped of his second in command position and ranks as high as Skywarp. All the seekers still view him as their leader though. Even if it’s not on the books.

This is where Star is now.

So! Where can Skyfire fit in all this? I’m not sure.

Kimi knew it was going to be messy, and still he's the one who had this idea. Lot of years ago in a Prema video they asked him if he would bring his partner to a race, and he said no, no distractions. he changed idea with time... with Ollie.

And thats why now they are in this situation, making out like stupid and horny teenagers (they literally are) in his driving room.

This was Oliver first time in the paddock, and he was so hot walking so elegantly down the paddock.

As time goes by since the start of their relationship, Kimi had developed an obsession for ollie's neck. Now he is worshipping his boyfriend, putting kisses all over the brit, leaving hickies all over oliver's neck, and the english is a messy flush not able to react to the italian's ardour .

Kimi knew they couldnt get intimate, he didnt wnat to risk but he was more than ready to have some under the shirt action. He was on Oliver knees, his hands on the sides of the english's face, kissing every cm.

"God you were so hot out there, mh? my lovely HAB, guess i'll have to win for making you proud" Oliver wasnt really doing anything, he was just tremling as the italian showed all his passion.

If that italian had used even half of the attention he pays to Ollie, in using his brain he would have done something smart, like closing the door. But he didnt, cause he's a young boy in love who adores his english lover man too much for thinking.

The fact is that Bono, god bless that man, entered, wanting to talk to Kimi and tell him not to worry and to show his support in all this coming out stuff, just to find him making out with his boyfriend.

He tried really hard to not make rumor after he saw that the two boys were too... busy for noticing him.

In that moment the door opened again and a unaware trio entered, determined to be a support for Kimi. Just to find two flushed teenagers, one on the knees of the others, and the race engineer of that one, probably reconsidering all his life choices.

Toto Wolff, Valterri Bottas and George Russel stopped. They were ready to talk at the young italian about all the support he has, but now:

Toto seemd entered in dad version, and was ready to make a speech about using protections;

George was dumbfounded, cause for him, Kimi was just a little kid who knew too many swear words but still lookd innocent;

and then Valterri was ready to be the cool uncle, so he winked to Kimi, who flushed even more.

The couple was just staying still, hoping that maybe they could dissappear or die on the place. Kimi stands up and tries to calm himself and all the other in the room.

"Ok so ehm, Ollie amore could you ehm go just maybe in the hospitality? Ten minutes" The brit nodded and tried to adjust his outfit. When he closed the door the silence returned.

Toto, as the boss and paternal figure strated talking: "We are...happy you enjoy your relationship and we are sorry for the interruption, we just wanted to tell you, we are here. Always. We will support you no matter what" George and Bono nodded solemnly while Valterri was giving him thumbs up. The italian nodded but he knew that this was another time conversation, at the moment it was too embarassing. "Thanks and sorry for... that, I swear I'll learn to lock the doors"

He thought it was finsihed but as he said "locking" Toto became more serious, he entered in full dad version: "Or maybe just leave the door a bit open and rememeber to stay safe ok? even if you two are two boys there are still ..."

" yeah yeah i know thanks yeah no details, thanks though".

The three older man rapidly went out leaving Kimi considering dismissal or self-exile.

I saw this one post ranting about how people love Emerie but bash gwyn because of Azriel. Most elain fans don’t hate gwyn because there’s not much to hate about gwyn. She’s not a main character - as such we didn’t get to see any of her flaws. I know many people bash Feyre for being too stubborn/immature, elain for being too passive/meek, Nesta for being too aggressive/mean but it’s their flaws that make them such interesting characters. Of course SJM can always expand on gwyns character and further her development in future books, but as of right now she’s kinda one-dimensional and was only written to serve in Nesta’s character growth which makes it so easy to use her character as a self-insert.

I think most people are put off by gwyn because of a select few who prop her up by tearing other female characters (particularly elain and Feyre) down. Gwyn can be nice without elain and Feyre being mean. Gwyn can be motherly and nurturing without elain being cold and Feyre being a bad mother. Gwyn can stand up for Nesta and be a good friend without Elain and Feyre being bad sisters. I rarely ever see headcanons/fics about Emerie being Nyx’s second mom and teaching Feyre how to parent, or Emerie yelling at elain for being a bad sister and scolding her for leading poor, little baby Lucien on - and yet I’ve seen countless about gwyn.

And honestly I don’t believe that the fandom likes Emerie more than gwyn at all. In fact, I would say that gwyn is probably more loved throughout the fandom than Emerie is - which is messed up in its own right. In my opinion Emerie, a POC and LGBT character, rarely gets the same amount of recognition as gwyn, who’s a white cis character.

The only reason most elriel might *hate* Gwyn and I say that in an exaggerated way bcs annoyance is more the word, is due to how her stans have shoved Gwyn down our throats ever since acosf. How in every situation, they would use Gwyn to tare down Elain and show how much better and amazing Gwyn was. How Gwyn deserved Az and Elain didnt, etc etc. Other then that, she is just irrelevant. She’s Nesta’s friend, a nice character that was part of acosf and thats pretty much it. There is nothing to hate Gwyn herself for. She’s not done anything wrong, she isn’t a polarising character nor is she complex. She’s just there. The perfect bff. Perfect way to put it anon, Gwyn is one-dimensional. Whereas characters like the sisters or even batboys have flaws that make them complex -> they’re more interesting to read about and im sure as an author, to write about. Yh sure, Mass can “expand” on Gwyns character but thats a “maybe” as of now Gwyn is just a standard character thats perfect for self-inserting with - which many of her stans do.

Gwynriels are the ones that made Gwyns character all about Azriel. Poor girl showed 0 romantic interest in him. It was her “stans” who forcefully interwined Gwyn and Az together. Instead of appreciating and focusing on her joruney during acosf - they’ve made discussions surrounding Gwyns character be related to Azriel and how can she be the perfect/right Li for him. How can her trauma serve the next book. It wasnt elriels who did this. Im sure there are some elriels who are toxic and disgusting with their hate for gwyn but thats not the norm. In a general sense, no one hates Gwyn bcs of Azriel. He was ready to risk his life for Elain and when it came to Gwyn he wS more concerned with another redhead…there’s no reason for any elriel to feel threatened by Gwyn. I think - in my personal experience- we’re just heavily annoyed with her stans who have put so much false importance onto this new side character over characters that have been apart of the OG series.

YES, Gwyn can be all those things: Loving, funny, protective etc WITHOUT the need to villanise Elain and Feyre. The amount of times I see Gwyn stans say how Gwyn will put Elain/Feyre in their place for how they treated Nesta or how Gwyn will be Nyx’s favourite over his literal auntie is crazy. Its bcs they dont care about Emerie enough to make her a main character. Gwyn however they need to be a main character- part of the main cast. Thats why they insert her into the IC dynamic and have her interacting with all these important people so she can then be important and integral to the story. So the narrative can focus on Gwyn as it does with the inner circle. Obviously, Azriels Li will be part of his family so they need to include Gwyn with the IC.

whoever is claiming Emerie is liked more then Gwyn is wilding. They’re straight up lying, anyone part of the fandom knows how much Gwyn has been hyped up and how loved she is. Emerie does not get the same recognition that Gwyn gets and yh she should, emerie was a pretty amazing character in Acosf. Yet ofc the white woman would get more popular, they’re also giving the illyrian plot to Gwyn and her story instead of Emerie’s who it belongs too.

wammy's house :: from a very young age, he was always compared to near, someone who had the natural gift and didn’t have to put in much effort. mello, on the other hand, had to work hard for everything, and no matter how much he tried, near was always better. that’s where his inferiority complex comes from; he feels worse than near and believes he can never be like him. although both of them are just as capable as L, since we don’t see much of L’s side that mello represents, near seems to him like the better successor. that’s why mello handed the title to near; he knew he would be compared and, most of all, didn’t want to be in near’s shadow for the rest of his life it felt like "near is better isnt he? there's no point to lie or make me fight more i cant be like him" - so he left, wanting to prove to himself and everyone else that he can be better—and he can be better WITHOUT ANY HELP. he wanted to become his own person instead of just following what he was taught (that’s why he stopped most of L’s mannerisms, like having bad posture and walking barefoot). also, people need to remember that he really loved L; he was the person mello looked up to all this time and sought attention from. everything he worked for was to win L’s approval as the successor, but then L died unexpectedly, not choosing either of them. that’s what frustrated mello so much: not only did the most intelligent person he knew and his role model die, but L also left him without telling him whether he or near was better, leaving mello in need of competition and maybe even with a feel he wasnt good enough for L to choose him

mello and near :: after the time skip, mello starts his competition with near. we can see he’s ready to do EVERYTHING to catch kira, even if that means losing someone as close as Matt. he actually felt bad about matt’s death; of course, it wasn’t planned, but there was always the risk of him dying, even though they executed the plan. as i mentioned, mello always saw near as competition, but near never posed any real threat to mello. in fact, he saw that they were stronger together and maybe even cared for mello in some way—he took his picture because he knew it would be the reason he would lose before even starting the “competition” that was so important to him. near let mello compete because it was what HE wanted. of course, mello was too focused on the competition, but when he saw that near had written "Dear Mello" on the photo, he seemed much softer than before when he had screamed that he was not some toy for near to use. he felt like he was being used by someone stronger, losing his independence, and that was what he hated most esspecialy if it meant losing to near. but the photo made him understand that it was never near’s intention to use him, and that he probably cared for him, even though near doesn’t seem to show much emotion. growing up together in wammy's house and being so similar yet so different, they developed some kind of bond. that’s why near bravely asked mello to shoot him; he knew he wouldn’t do it because, despite mello’s apparent hatred, they had some kind of bond that connected them. additionally, he understood how important beating him was to mello. in the end, near never put pressure on mello or asked about working together; he knew mello needed to prove something to himself. after all that, when mello realized he wasn’t being treated like a tool, he began to cooperate with near at some point, even if both of them were solving the case of their own. they are meant to work together as whole and if mello would be raised different they would beat kira so much faster as one from the begging, near needed mello and mello needed near, and the reason light lost in the end imo was that he underestimated their relationship and didnt thought of them as if he was fighiting one person

mello's death:: his death is open to interpretation; whether he did it on purpose or not, it was the moment he proved himself to be the better. his death was the reason kira got caught. finally, he was a step ahead of near, who couldn’t figure it out without him, and near gave him all the credit for it. this shows that mello was ready to give everything to catch kira, even his own life.

two sides of L:: near and mello are meant to represent two sides of L. Near – the logical and emotionless, relying only on what he deduced, without any feelings for light or anyone else. Mello – the one who is ready to give everything in the process to catch kira. he also shares the same love for sweets as L. ppl say we don’t really see that side of L, but we can observe it when, for example, L was ready to wait for people to die to be sure if higuchi was kira or when he asked light to use misa's feelings.

in summary, i think mello’s character is very beautiful. he’s just a kid who was always pressured into being someone else, while other kids like near were already born so smart. he needed to do that to be seen by the person he looked up to. just because he represents the impulsive side of L, he feels much weaker. he was always compared to near, and comparing kids can damage their self-perception and lead to an inferiority complex, which mello developed. he was very smart, but even so, he always felt not good enough. so, even if mello died, i wasn't so mad about his death; he finally achieved what he wanted all this time. he was free from being compared because he outsmarted near in some way. he was ready to die, but that still kind of hurts, especially knowing that near started eating chocolate in mourning of mello😭 mello was never a villain but just really lost, he was just a kid/teen. and its crazy for me how hardworking he is and its very impressive that he managed to live on his own just being 14/15 yo.

my personal thoughts are that i really love mello. i know how it feels to be compared and to never feel enough because no matter how hard you try, it just won’t be enough, you feel like you could have done better which in the end leaves YOU as your biggest critic, leading to feelings of wanting to give up since there is always someone who does it better. sometimes, you just feel so flustered by the crazy expectations of others. i find his relationship with near very beautiful, and he is very dear to me. he really reminds me of myself, and i’d give him the biggest hug. he’s my favorite of all the animes and mangas. my baby just wanted to feel like he is worth something 😓 also i apologize to my aib followers; i will do an analysis on kyuma and kuzuryu, but i also needed to post about mello because i’m crazy about him. 💔

We know how much this man loves his friends, always asking if they've had their lunch or keeping up with their missions. So he's definitely the type to keep emergency snacks or water bottles on hand.

Unintentionally flirty due to his kind nature, but when called out, he turns red and starts rambling, “No, no! I didn’t mean it like that—I mean, not that you’re not—you are, but—ah!” Cue more teasing.

To ease his nerves, he tries different crafts or hobbies like crocheting or building model kits, but he's terrible at most of them. Surprisingly, baking actually worked out(?) and now everyone at the dorm gets cupcakes whenever he stress bakes lol. They're probably ridiculously over-decorated because he overthinks the designs.

I hc that he has insomnia or at least has trouble sleeping. So although it doesn't help much, he has a collection of different tea bags-green, chamomile, ginger, tulsi, lemon, anything you say, he has it.

About the unintentional flirt lol, toge made a joke on a gc once and now panda and maki love teasing Yuta about his "pretty boy" reputation, often telling strangers that Yuta is a famous model or something equally ridiculous.

Total gym rat. She’ll 'gently' scold the others if they don’t push themselves during workouts, "If you can’t finish this set, how do you expect to survive a curse attack?”

Has a secret stash of sweets she claims are "for energy". Some of Gojo's sweets randomly go missing, but no one suspects her lmao

Shows affection through roasts and training sessions, but she’s fiercely loyal and will stand up for her friends no matter what.

After the incident with her ass father, she might not show it but she'd be a little insecure about the burn marks. Not because of how they look but more so that they showed that he had managed to overpower her. So whenever she has those thoughts i can see her training extra hard, pushing herself on the field till she collapses. Yuta and toge got her some scar cream, there wasnt an explanation but the silent support made her treat herself a little more kindly

She’s surprisingly patient with toge and probably was the one that suggested that they should all try and learn basic sign to surprise him, she'll never admit to it though.

I mean we all know he's a total troll and a menace online, he definitely speaks in gen alpha slangs. Has spammed the gc with memes at 3 am so they all have it permanently on silent notifs now.

Has quite the... interesting music taste lol, ranging from lo-fi to heavy metal and loads of video game soundtracks. Everybody dreads it when toge gets the aux cord on long rides but they dont point it out. He knows about their suffering but he doesnt care, prolly even gets joy out it lmao.

Doesn't like signing unless he absolutely has to, like if he was talking to a stranger, that too most ppl dont know sign lang so he either texts them or writes it in his notes app. Plus he’s expressive enough to rely on context and vibes most of the time.

They had a sleepover during their 1st year and this shit decided to set the mario cart coin sound as the alarm. for 5 am. on a sunday. highest volume. and proceeded to sleep through it. Yuta and panda had to hold maki back from suffocating him with a pillow.

Dogday and Catnap were close since before they were turned into toys. I think kid Dogday (Im considering naming him Oskar) would protect Theo from bullies, and was worried sick when he just dissapeared one day. When they turned into toys, both Dogday and Catnap continued to be sort of close to each other. Catnap was isolated from the other Smiling Critters, and it was Dogday who would drag him to interact with everyone! I think this is when the mutual crush first started. Dogday saw a kind-hearted and shy friend who genuinely wanted to connect with others, while Catnap saw a ray of sunshine dragging him out of his misery corner in order to have him make friends with others.

For Dogday, Catnap was just everything he needed during that time: Someone who listens and is kind, not demanding much from him, much less getting mad at him for not doing things right. Catnap helped calm him down, and Dogday, touch and attention-starved, just caught himself suddenly developing an innocent crush on his best friend.

However, after the Hour of Joy, Catnap spent some time hiding with the Prototype as he taught him how to hunt. When he came back to the Playcare, he had changed. Hardened. He wasnt little Theo anymore, just like how Catnap wasnt little Oskar anymore. One became a hunter, the other, a leader. They clashed many times with Catnap wanting to go after other toys and the Smiling Critters not wanting to kill for their own survival. And when Catnap's religion became bigger than his own logic and morality, the two fell apart.

Below the cut are my thoughts on how their relationship went during the decade and after Angel rescued them!

Catnap did attack some of the Smiling Critters and he did tore off some of their limbs to feed the mini critters and himself. It was either that or starve, at least in his POV. Him crucifying Dogday consisted of him almost begging poor Oskar to quit with his morality and join him and Prototype. He wanted Dogday to listen, and he wanted to be together with his best friend, but tearing someone's stomach and legs off isnt the way to make them listen to you talk about how the guy who put everyone into this mess is the one and only true savior and god.

After Angel arrives at Playcare and saves not only Dogday but Miss Delight and even some of the mini critters, Catnap's world view start to shift, esp with how Angel treats him. "What happened to you?" is one of the first things they say to him, and Catnap, lonely and away from his dad/god and any company asides from the mini critters, just inevitably ends up getting attached to who he now sees as a messiah. This only gets worse after Angel saves Catnap's life.

Dogday... Oh, my poor baby. He DESPERATELY wanted Catnap to quit with the Prototype bullshit and just listen to him. They can hunt others, yes, but they shouldn't be cruel about it. They can confront the Prototype about putting them into this situation, they can leave Playtime Co, they can do anything, but please please please just LISTEN to him and STOP TALKING ABOUT THE PROTOTYPE AS IF HE'S A GOD. Dogday is ready to kill Catnap if necessary during Angel's time at Playcare, mind you, he just doesn't want to do that. And when Catnap is saved, guess who helps Angel treat his wounds? Yup, it's our big puppy.

Dogday feels guilt from letting his friends die, and feels anger at Catnap for helping with their deaths and for crucifying him. He wants Catnap to do better, but he feels like he lost him and will never get him back. And his happiness at seeing Catnap helping Angel is only for a moment, as he realizes Catnap just changed his god for Angel to fit the label.

After they confront Prototype and they leave the factory for good, they're both kind of lost. Catnap deep down knows neither Angel nor Prototype are gods, but what else are they for being able to survive such circumstances? And for Dogday, what else is there in the outside world, now that he feels more alone than ever before because his mind isn't busy with surviving anymore?

And then, BAM, every single Smiling Critter was actually alive. They're both shocked but happy at this, and begin to rekindle their relationship as they both agree that they're the only ones who can actually protect both their old friends and the newfound family they have. Their relationship at this point is two traumatized young adults trying to protect what they have of hope, still getting out of the survival instincts and way of life. They bicker a LOOOOT, but since day 1 from escaping they have sometimes slept next to each other because that's the only way they can fall asleep. They have so many conflicts but they are so much about each other in a way only they can truly understand (and also us but we don't count because we're just readers and players lmao).

With enough weeks passing by, and with enough long nights of these two being close and even playing with each other because they missed the other so much, they start talking. Untangling the mess. Catnap did apologize to Dogday when they were still inside Playtime Co, ofc, and he and Dogday had a moment when they saw the Sun for the first time since they were young children, but two conversations aren't enough to fix +5 years of hurt.

I think the mutual crush smacks them both in the head at the same time during the, like, third month of living with Angel. Sillies gotta be silly right?

CAN WE ALSO PLEASE TALK ABOUT THIS SCENE?!?!?!

IT WAS NOT A KISS SCENE BUT IT WAS AS POWERFUL AS ONE!!!

Their THE KISS scene on season 3 episode 5 (yes i remember exactly dont ask why) it was REALLY powerful because it literally showed us the development between the two characters from them trying to kill one another (mostly Rayla) to saving each other and Callum expressing it such a beautiful way by his speech with "Because she's Rayla" Playing in the background was just TO DIE FOR!!!! it was emotional, romantic, strong! It was everything! It wasnt forced it was just there in the perfect time. I can never stop praising the shows writers enough istg. Even rn im listening to that ost in the background.

I cant lie bc it was adorable seeing these two being all lovey dovey with each other by kissing and hugging etc. But when season 4 begins, their relationship is just not there anymore. Yes there are bits and pieces but they're scattered everywhere. Callum reminiscing about her and their time together gives us half of the answer. Something happened that pulled them apart but what is it?

When he was looking out in the balcony to the sky, their theme was also playing at the background but so soft and so weak that you felt Callums' pain. It was a sad track, it was a tragic track. Raylas' memories were still there but not herself. And it made him so sad that the dude said it was NOT his BIRTHDAY but the ANNIVERSARY OF RAYLAS' LEAVING!!!! THIS BOY CARES ABOUT RAYLA MORE THAN HE CARES ABOUT HIMSELF!!!

From then on the relationship starts to have a second build up. Its like strangers to friends to lovers to strangers to ??? . The only difference of this build up compared to first three seasons is that there is already an established relationship, its just broken. So in a way they start again. Going on adventures, being there for each other in case either of them needs help. Callum doesnt let his feelings for her suppress his hurt which was also caused by her but little by little it starts to heal. It starts to fix.

Here we see Rayla admit to her mistake of going after revenge and leaving the most important thing she has behind (aka Callum obv) . Her admitting this out loud is so great to hear. Because she know she made a mistake and that mistake hurt Callum and she intends to FIX that mistake. She gives him the space he needs while also staying close enough in case he would need her. Just like Soren said "sometimes you need time to work through the weird, and then it'll work out or dont. The heart do what it do or dont what it dont"

And thats exactly what happens! With time the awkwardness becomes less and less and their hearts do the job. Their feelings for each other were never gone in the first place, and when they both finally realise that it just keeps getting better. In the form of saving friends (Zym and Soren) they remember how it felt working together which helps them get closer.

But even tho they act close their words are still apart. They dont admit it. They dont talk about it. They just go along with it. But then Rayla gets caught sneaking Runaans' bow. When Callum orders them to release her even without knowing the reason why, Rayla picks up what he's putting down. He trusts her, he doesnt push her to explain him anything because he knows that she will when she is ready. She sees that there is still a chance to make things just like before maybe even better.

(Also in this scene when they're going to the grand bookery and they cross this path, she says "its an old wound that's healing" I cant help but feel like its a parallel to their relationship. The wound of leaving for two years but now finally working through it. Its just perfect)

So yep after everything she admits it, which is also perfect because she was the one that made a mistake so she does fix it and she does it right.

"Im glad we could be here together, looking at the stars..." She says.

And Callum feeling the same way rests his head on hers. ITS JUST PERFECT AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! THE WAY THAT THEY STILL KEEP TALKING ABOUT STARS AND THIS WHOLE SCENE HAVING AS MUCH POWER AS THEIR KISS SCENE AND DARE I SAY EVEN MORE (i dont know which wins bc i was jumping around screaming when they kissed after Callums' poetic speech LOL it was ROMANTIC ALRIGHT?! 😭😭😭😭 SAME GOES FOR THIS ONE)

And the thing is that it'ss so easy to mess up. They could've gone for a route like "hey im back after two years of absence" "Oh hi its great to see you again" And its not just the characters and their relationships but also the world that you're telling to the audience. It is so easy to get it wrong ESPECIALLY if you are writing Fantasy. With so many kingdoms, dragons, elves and other species with also magic its very very simple to mess up. Im glad that they went this way with the story telling. Its more natural, more enjoyable and it just works perfectly.

for some reason management gave me a response, but im still gonna voice my perspective.

the reason why i didnt punch ivan was because we were in the cafeteria. while i wouldve punched him in any other circumstance, mizi happened to be in the room so i didnt want to start a fight. as to why i relaxed once it was ivan… i dunno. ivan has saved me multiple times from the guards punishments they give me, so i guess that once i realized it was ivan, i knew that i wasnt gonna be harmed? again i dunno. i also dunno why he licked the blood. whenever i think ive seen ivan do it all, that freak somehow finds something else to do that ive never seen. its weird.

as for what management said, they thought that on top of me feeling safe around ivan, the reason why i didnt react aggressively was because i was used to ivans bullshit by now. since ive been around ivan for so long, they think i developed a weak spot for him, that he means more to me than i let on. they also think that the reason why i looked so shy as i looked away was due to being flustered, as if truly realizing that ivans full undivided attention was on me, and i didnt know how to handle that. other than that, they pretty much said the same thing that i did.
