My english lyrics for Triage woo! (They're written out under the cut, I just wanted to share my lil chart lol)

Though I'm too indecisive to officially label this as my favorite song, it's had the strongest emotional impact on me by far. It holds a special place in my heart, I definitely wanted to write lyrics for it first! I'll leave all my rambling process commentary in the tags, but I was so happy with how it came out!!

I mentioned earlier that I always get annoyed with myself when people post translyrics and I can't figure out the rhythm they were going for, so here's a recording of me singing, but I'm bad at it! It's just for fun! Like a rough draft for music! Because the only thing worse than people hearing my voice is people thinking I can't count syllables!

i think what a lot of ppl miss about the nuance when it comes to the retcon is that the POINT of it is that its a bad ending. homestuck is designed to be a tragedy and it was never going to end well; its frankly ridiculous to try and shoehorn in a scenario where none of the current main characters are dead when the story is ABOUT death. its not narratively satisfying at all like this! but thats not what the kids wanted (and, more to the point, thats not what the FANS wanted. newer fans DEFINITELY miss the fact that homestuck was written as a conversation between hussie and the fans, a conversation that turned into an argument halfway through and led to a lot of things being taken in bad faith on both sides. but i digress; this is a watsonian post)

the retcon powers are very VERY explicitly described as the ability to change the alpha timeline. the 'whats supposed to happen' of it all, the premeditated narrative the story was written to fill. conversely, when aranea used the ring of life to come back and meddle, she is explicitly described as 'causing a doomed timeline.' and like, the thing about doomed timelines is that theyre meant to happen as much as theyre meant to be fixed. theyre how paradox space accounts for and incorporates time travel, and the existence of the doomed timeline is often NECESSARY for the alpha timeline to function. thats how you get davesprite, thats how the aradiabot that brought gamzee's honkHONK code back from his crazy murder timeline contributed to doc scratch's creation, thats why every dead dave helped the alpha timeline dave figure out what to do. if vriska was meant to have never died in the first place the timeline wouldve been doomed long before game over. the ring went to the wrong person, and thats the kind of simple fix sburb was expecting to solve with some time travel to get things back on track

the ring was supposed to go to someone else. probably vriska! from the alpha timelines perspective, it wasnt that long after her confrontation with john that she really changed and grew as a character. that she became someone who deserved a second chance. imagine: john uses his retcon as normal time travel, the way sburb comprehended it through the limitations of its code. he takes the ring before aranea can, goes to the dream bubbles, and has another conversation with vriska. maybe she doesnt even really want the ring anymore, and thats exactly the kind of thing that would convince john to give it to her. and she agrees, because he tells her terezi is waiting for her. they go back, they have the final fight, and people die. maybe they dont come back. but its the group of characters who earned the ending, who we watched grow up for three years

but thats not what happened, and it was never going to be what happened, because as narratively satisfying as it could have been? john and terezi wanted something different. john wanted everything to be OVER and terezi wanted the chance to make a different choice, even if it was wrong. theyre selfish; theyre kids. theyre tired of being characters in a story, of someone else pulling their strings. thats what typheus's choice was about, you know? and john made the wrong choice. some other version of john could have fixed things the "right" way, had our john decided to die instead. to accept the consequences of the doomed timeline and let pardox space fix it. hell, between roxys first instinct to just sit and let the void take her and terezis pointy horns offering a counterpoint we have some pretty blatant devil/angel on the shoulder imagery! and john making the same wrong choice he did when terezi first told him to fly to the seventh gate, except this time there was no davesprite on angel wings, no one left alive he cared about enough to listen to. because as much as john felt like he was SUPPOSED to fall for roxy, the girl version of his fathers lover, someone strongly associated with his half of karkat's shipping chart but without the complication of being a lesbian, someone HUMAN to repopulate the world with cut out of his apocalypse movie fantasies...... terezis way of thinking has always appealed to him more. because as much as he pretends its not true, john doesnt like to take things lying down, and he doesnt like when other people do either. he gets bored! hes attracted to the danger and morally grey self confidence terezi and vriska exude, so. he listened to terezi, and they brought vriska back.... without any of the character development she had gone through.

and its a bad ending, because of course it would be. and thats the point :) it was stupid to think two kids could meddle with the fate of the universe and it was stupid to think that these kids could have a happy ending so easily. but can you really blame them?

I re-read my post about chapters 22-30 and I realized that theres so much I just fully forgot to mention, mostly relating to the inner circle so heres a quick summary of my thoughts about each ic member now that Im about halfway through the book and have spent some time with them. To briefly recap my previous thoughts, I think their group dynamic is insanely uncomfortable because of how apparent their hierarchy is and also none of them seem to actually like each other all that much

Amren

I dont dislike her in the sense that I dont dislike her personality or the basic concept of her character, but I do hate that shes in the inner circle at all. Like, whats this eldritch creature trapped in a body thats not her own doing hanging out with all these boring people ass people FOR 500 YEARS dude, if I had to spend 500 years with Rhysand I would destroy the entire night court regardless of whether or not I had Amren-levels of power. Like, why on earth would she be satisfied playing second fiddle to Rhysand and living in an APARTMENT in his stupid °•~City of Starlight~•° when shes supposed to be like a billion years old and a thousand times more powerful than him. I feel like itd be interesting to explore that but I know that we really dont from watching cari can read's summaries, so she just ends up being a character thats supposed to be interesting because shes so mysterious but is actually so shrouded in intrigue that it turns around and she just becomes boring again

When I first met her I said that something about her bothered me but I couldnt put my finger on what it was, but that I still kinda liked her because she atleast annoyed Rhysand. She really hasnt annoyed Rhys in any way since her and Feyres first meeting so I like her less because of that and also because shes mostly just boring to me at the moment. I think another reason why I dont particularly like her is that she feels so intrinsically tied to the misogyny of this world that just suddenly materialized in this book and its really annoying, I would like to avoid that subplot as much as possible. She basically just exists to give Feyre a female friend at the Night Court and to show her that you can totally girlboss your way out of a misogynistic system! But you cant dismantle the system because uhhhhhhhh. change is like a glacier because its slow

Also, shes obviously meant to parallel Ianthe, like shes supposed to be the better version of her, but I cant even imagine her and Feyre making out sloppy style toxic yuri edition so I cant really see her as any kind of improvement. sorry

Cassian

One of my least favourite character types is Fratbro But You Put Him In A Fantasy Setting so Im not the biggest fan of this guy ngl. The one redeeming quality he has is that hes very obviously crushing on all of his friends bisexual style, especially Rhys and Azriel. Its almost a little sad but mostly its just very funny. Like whyd you wanna take their clothes at the illyrian camps so badly huh? You like seeing pretty boys squirm around naked?

Unfortunately, I know that hes gonna end up with Nesta and that hes not even gonna treat her well, my guy is gonna go from being gay because he likes men to being gay because he hates women and I am not looking forward to it

Speaking of Nessian, a lot of sjm critical anti nessian people say that Nesta and Cassian used to be so good and so genuinely romantic in ACOWAR and that their relationship got completely ruined in ACOSF and. I mean, granted they dont ever talk about Cassian behaviour towards Nesta during the meeting at her house in ACOMAF but I hated the way he was just so angry at her on Feyre's behalf when she wasnt even that mad herself, she just felt weird and bad. Of course, I havent read ACOWAR yet and I might change my mind in the future but right now, I'll just say it doesnt surprise me that Cassian would laugh at Nesta falling down the stairs

My favourite guy!!! Out of this bunch I mean. My favourite guy in the entire ACOTAR series is probably Lucien, but if we're just talking about the jokers from the Night Court, then this guy is my favorite

I really wasnt expecting much from him, I thought he would have absolutely no personality from what Ive heard other people say about him, but hes basically exactly what I want in an edgy traumatized shadow boi. Ive talked about this before but I really dislike Rhysand and part of that is that I normally really like the archetype of the tortured edgy love interest with shadow powers but he makes it so goddamn annoying by being so flirty and cocky I just want to see him dead. But Azriel is quiet so he doesnt bothr me and also theres some intrigue about his backstory and the extend of his powes but he feels like a solid enough character that he doesnt become boring to me like Amren

I will say though, theres something particularly uncomfortable about watching anyone from the inner circle interact with him and vice versa, I think its because he seems like he doesnt actually like them more than anything else. Ive said this in a previous post, I think Cassian wants to be in a relationship good friends with him and he seems to think they have some good sunshine guy/grumpy guy banter going on but to me it just seems like Azriel genuinely dislikes him. And then he obviously doesnt trust Amren and I feel like hes in love with Mor and has been for a really long time but doesnt actually like her, I honestly feel like hes just sticking by Rhysand because he feels like he owes him and because it gives him an excuse to be close to his crush

Yknow, that I think about it maybe thats why I like him so much. I dont like the Inner Circle, he doesnt like the Inner Circle, thats a relatable king right there

so the first time i played the da games 9 years ago i just picked the romances based on who i as the player liked, and my characters had very little depth bc i was just playing to try and maximize approval for everyone. but this time around im letting my characters develop more. im picking dialogue options that result in disapproval bc my characters are sticking to their beliefs. it also means the romance stories come about based on who my character ends up getting along with. heads up for talking abt my characters, itd be under a readmore if i wasnt using an ancient version of the app lol

so my city elf warden, lev, picked zevran. she had a hard time trusting humans after what she’s been through in the alienage, and though she comes to see morrigan as her closest friend, she doesnt warm up enough to leliana or alistair to pursue their more serious romances. did have the threesome with isabela. when zevran has the choice of going back with the crows, she realizes she cant stand the thought of losing him.

this time around, my marian hawke ended up being down bad for aveline, which surprised me, tbh. just so put out when aveline liked donnic instead (but i DID get the kiss scene. heheh). she eventually ended up with isabela, though i interpret the specific events of their romance a little differently than that first main romance convo. my hawke also flirted with merrill a bit, and was definitely fond of her, but it never sparked. this particular hawke is also a lesbian even though my first playthrough had hawke as bi. her absolute best friend ended up being fenris.

im still working through inquisition so im not sure who teolin (dalish, and the keeper’s second, not first, thank you very much) is interested in. im playing him as bi, and flirted a lot with cassandra at first, but rn shes mad at him for being so pro-mage. otherwise thinks josephine is cute and has been enjoying flirting with dorian, but is very much an impulsive sort than what the dialogue options strictly let me choose. highest non-romance approvals are with varric and solas, and has been getting along well with leliana, as far as he can tell.

im also not as invested in the romance as a whole this time playing the games. as a teen it was really exciting to have romance options, so that stuck around in my memory of the games. this time its not as important to me. yes im making a post about it because it is a commonly discussed element of the games but its not my main thing with them this time.

im appreciating the other relationships a lot more. lev struggling with deep distrust for humans while learning to trust alistair as an ally, her respect for morrigan, her appreciation for oghren’s straightforwardness. hawke’s love for her mother and sister, her unconditional support for anders and the mage underground, her honest discussions with fenris as her best friend. and while i cant say much for teolin yet, as the player im really enjoying interpreting his approval levels based on his beliefs and how that makes others see him.

and when my warden struggled for half the game to drag alistair’s approval up, and my hawke stood her ground when defending apostates against people she cares deeply about, and teolin’s pride in being an elf and a mage means hes shooting down his “inner circle”, its still really satisfying to me. not everyone needs to be uncomplicated besties like i thought they had to be when i played it the first time. the games are so political and give you enough freedom of expression to stick to what you believe (for the most part), so why not embrace it?

Okay, so most of you wanted this. Here is the in depth analysis of how the bright eyes scene in watership down 1978 manages to evoke so many emotions.

So this analysis is mostly practice to improve my grade in english, so dont expect anything good.

So the scene starts out with hazels "death". I think the reason so many people thought he was dead to start with is because of how richard adams presents death within the book and by extension the film. In all cases of death in watership down, it is sudden. It starts off with violet in the cornfield, and fivers short statement of "violets gone". There is no greiving for her, no remembrance. The group keeps moving on. The same is with hollys memory of the warren, the rabbit whos throat is ripped out by woundwort (i think he was blackavar, but i cant be sure) and eventually hazel himself at the end of the film. The exception to this pattern is bigwig when he was caught in the snare, but he wasnt dead, and that scene wasnt as such a deception, but a way to keep the stakes high and further illustrate the corruption of man and the land. Hazels false death follows the trend of swift sudden death (and i could talk for hours about how this is to reflect the true fate of many animals and how the 2018 remake just couldnt capture that, but i cant rn), and so because the viewer already associates this with final death, they think hazel is gone (also causing a shit ton of childhood trauma but anyway). Another reason the death feels genuine is because the film isnt afraid to kill off characters (violet, the warren ect) while other films are, and so this already deviates from status quo.

Anyway, ramble over, on to the actual scene. So we have all these emotions and shock built up from this moment. Fiver (the moral heart of the story) is in shock. He doesnt believe it, hes in denial and begins to look for his brother. Then the animation begins to shift. It gently flows into that sort of abstract, pale style of fivers visions, the first hint to hazels life, and the first section of bright eyes starts to play. Now there is hope. This is different to every other framing of death, and is so beautiful/heartbreaking. Then the lyrics kick in. This really cements this scenes deviation from the tone of the film (but not in an way that feels out of place) and the viewer gets hope. If you really listen, the lyrics "how could a light that burned so brightly suddenly burn so pale" and "down the river of death" allude to hazels death, however this is juxtaposed to the imagery of fiver chasing the black rabbit/vision of hazel (they both appear at times). Both of these things represent the conflicting emotions within the viewer, and just fit in really beautifully, while showing that it isnt hazels time. The other rabbits dont get this, they dont get death leading a rescuer to them.The scene flits between fiver searching for hazel and younger, simpler version of the pair playing together, which reminds the audience that the two are indeed brothers and have the closest friendship in the group, which further adds to the pile of emotions going on and just ties everything together perfectly.

Forgot to add, but the fact that this song has lyrics is another deviation. Sorry for missing that and not having time to develope it.

Anyway, the ending. The music dies down and fiver approaches the farm. He rounds on to the pipe and we hear this deep, echoing heartbeat. Hazel is alive. I cant express just how perfect this ending is for that scene. There is just nothing to add. We dont need to see hazel or hear fiver say "hazels alive!" It is the perfect example of show not tell. The remake could only dream of being that good. The impact of that ending is just too good and satisfies the audience, while also keeping that sense of suspense and apprehension.

Thats going to be it, since i have to eat now, but i hope this satisfied the people who wanted this, especially you @kazbrekkerfast

im honestly so glad i got spoiled for karlachs ending back at the start of act 2 so i had time to go thru the stages of grief, make sad playlists, etc bc my tav/karlach really hit me like a truck. i knew i was going to romance her before i even got the game bc she literally is the reason i started playing to begin with but doing her route feels very right for a first playthrough bc imo despite how devastating and lacking her story can be it sure does shine when its good. her introspective moments you can only get if you romance her are everything to me. knowing she cant be saved in the end lead me to choose more accepting dialogue options which lead to infinitely more satisfying and at times inspiring scenes than if i pushed the "what if"

as for the very end, in a way karlachs dying scene and/or going to avernus scene is a lot more than what most characters get even if theyre youre romanced character... despite her ending being shafted to begin with?? which is ridiculous. (correct me if im wrong. most of them had nothing to say and what ive seen uploaded ie shadowhearts romanced ending is so meh) lae'zels orpheus ending did make me tear up, everyone else was just kinda standing there wearing ridiculous armor bc i forgot.......

despite everything im really happy with karlachs scenes? and idk if thats just bc they were the romanced versions and bc i didnt have my hopes up for her (if i hadnt been spoiled i wouldve been LIVID) but it rlly was one of the most touching moments for me. the "how'd i do?" "you were spectacular in every way" "for you. and for the city, and for myself, and blah blah. but most of all for you" caressing tavs face and her repeating back to herself that she was spectacular like shes at peace just by those words alone. "it's the one thing i can't beat, isn't it? same below as above. i love. you." and the blue flames of all her love for them searing hot white and killing her engine faster?!? ough "you more than anything. i saw- ...goodbye, sun. goodbye, sea. goodbye" I FEEL SICK I FEEL UNWELL. i should be crying but my heart just aches she's just everything to me okay!!

and the avernus scene is better than i thought it would be, the music is so sweet and badass, sharing cigars!!, lots of gay fuel for my fire, the feeling that its just the start of a new journey and not the end, charging together into the hells its so mwah mwah as long as you ignore the trauma and the fact that we couldve solved this any other way!! (do wish wyll wasnt treated like an awkward third wheel if the three of you go considering he's the one who advocates for her and going to avernus is part of his ending too. but ofc im also going she's my wife and the interaction is rlly touching)

as far as the rest of the game the emperors writing was so flimsy and uh they did a really good job making it feel like your choices didnt matter much in the end considering the praise its gotten and how the game was marketed. rip it needs some serious work but i didnt hate it. karlach brain worms take a lot of credit

my highest praises overall are that ive never felt this attached to a player character that i've made before and ive never seen a more memorable cast of npcs. there's too many stand out moments to count that it makes the insane amount of lag and bugs i had worth powering thru

What/who was your first ever OC?

that honor goes to Laura, she began as a very generic Sonic OC, girliepop who was a tomboy but had a golden heart, and of course, shipped with Sonic, you could say she was somewhat of a self-insert of mine, my alter-ego. I also made her a Werehog because at the time, I never saw any female Werehog OCs and I thought I was being revolutionary when really just was a dumb 10 year old -w-

Later once I was done with Drawcast, i decided I wanted to do more with her, but I wanted to try something original and away from the Sonic fandom, just to gain my independence as an artist. So she was gijinka-fied into a human and I designed Lucas right after, taking inspiration from the Werehog and what my tastes in men were as a 13 year old.

Laura still had her tomboy atitude but her traits of her hedgehog days were still very much present, with her short spikey hair and her outfit resembling her former Sonic days with the red tshirt and shorts.

It wasnt until much later that I gained a love for hoodies, and let my hair grow, that I decided to apply more of "myself" into Laura, really pushing into that alter-ego I mentioned earlier, which leaves us with her current modern design.

Her personality never really changed and is once again based off myself, someone who's introverted and reserved but with a golden heart made out of jelly, helpful, kind and overall just wants to be the best version of herself without letting others push her around, the very much the "do no harm but take no shit" ideology that I also follow.

Her modern designs follows a "modern red riding hood" kind of idea, with the same red and black palette she always had, and with the fact that she and Lucas begin as enemies, it's very much the idea of "what if Red Riding Hood had the shotgun instead". Also just, very much a representation of what I used to wear during my highschool days, hoodie and pants and converse shoes were really just my entire wardrobe and still peak outfit choices in my opinion.

I dont think i'll ever change her design again, Im very satisfied with what I have but I do like to fuck around and try new things, but Laura Roseheart has been with me since I was 10, and she's a very special OC to me.

SKZ-Replay is definitely on Replay

I haven't been really streaming the way fanbases suggest, and not the way most devoted fans do. My ears can only handle so much sounds in a day which is a bummer.

Nonetheless, some solos have been stuck in my head—often playing like a medley of 30 seconds each, depending on how my brain works.

One moment I hear Hyune singing "yeah yeah yeah yeah~" to Lino's heartwrenching vocals. And then Changbin breaks that with doodle, doodle—creativity~! and here's the thing, i don't even remember the lyrics, i never do. I vaguely remember how the lyrics go but i hear the whole chorus play in my head especially the instrumentals!

Plus, Han's "run from my room. run from my town. run from my city. run from my...world" is the peak LSS. Yeah, that's an absolute earworm. Add Connected's club instrumental to the remix and I'm suddenly laughing at "a lock and a key making rumbles"—istg, Chan and his innuendos. (it's now my gay anthem, no turning back, we're connected)

While deep end does play in my head, that's a song that i'd rather play and listen to. The chorus where he layers his voice always gives me the tingles. He wasnt lying when he said playing it on repeat could lull us to sleep, at least for me, that song is the epitome of "cry myself to sleep".

Stars and Raindrops definitely lightens up my mood, like Hug me does—which is basically sad twerking coz the song still had the same "regretful" sad song. Seungmin's voice is ever so iconic with how full it sounds—the last note he dragged definitely had me satisfied, it's like a gift when the note in Can't Stop wasn't sung the same as their concert version LOL

Hug me made me crack up—it's not the song I would have expected from the maknae who'd feel tortured being embraced by his hyungs (ok maybe Felix is an exception). It's a bait! He sings "I will give you a hug" and his hyungs have their arms wide open. He says "Please give me a hug" and they will go after him like a zombie hoard!

I really appreciate Stray Kids for simply existing and sharing their passion. I mean, in every song they release, they share their thoughts, talent, skills, and growth. It's always been like that ever since I first heard Hellevator. I might not have stanned since I was basically just into their songs, not as a group until God's Menu/Back door happened. But yeah, being a stay is basically being spoiled by these bulk of quality songs!

I'm really proud to be a STAY, more so when they develop themselves or showcase wht more they can do.

I'VE JUST STARTED TO REWATCH 2012 TMNT AND I FORGOT HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS SHOW.

LIKE its not very nostalgic to me, i didnt religiously watch it or anything but i just LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH. The first tmnt show i ever watched was the 2018 and i feel like if i ranked them they would be tied. Maybe i'm a bit biased because tmnt 2018 is my favorite because of the family fluff and feels and i LOVE THAT TROPE ESPECIALLY FOUND FAMILY WITH APRIL. i love how they aren't constantly bullying mikey and i love donnie much more, AND LEO IN 2018??? LOVE. I also love raph here because like come on the gentle giant himbo trope is something i can't resist. THE WHOLE SHOW IS AMAZING IN ITS OWN SENSE. LIKE STORY WISE, PRETTY GOOD WRITING I'D SAY LIKE 7-9/10. even when the show ended when it was a bit rushed I FELT SO SATISFIED BECAUSE THEY WROTE IT IN A WAY THAT GAVE US SO MUCH ACTION AND SO MANY FEELINGS AND A DECENT RESOLUTION. not to mention that the autistic representation here is really good. The way they wrote low empathy and not make him look like a total asshole was amazing.

I'm not very far into the 2012 series yet but i LOVE what i see so far. I'm not very used to leo being the serious leader mom friend or raph being really emo and angry all the time (love him btw) yet because i watch 2018 soley for animation (but then realized i loved the franchise and hyperfixated on them all) But 2012 SLAPS. Hated april though. Hate april 2012 idk i can't see her as a likeable character because she played with my boy donnie. I really like the cgi artstyle actually. Like they knew to balance out comedy and the darker themes and i ESPECIALLY LOVED THE FLASHBACKS THEY ARE SO AMAZING. I'M IN LOVE WITH HOW CUTE DONNIE IS IN THIS VERSION. I JUST LOVE THEMMMMMMM.

Also can i just say as much as i love 2018 IT COULDVE DONE SO MUCH BETTER IF IT WAS MAYBE REALEASED TWO YEARS LATER. i wasnt part of the fandom when they aired the first episode but i know they received a LOT of undeserved backlash. Like the show just ended and the fans haven't adjusted to that change yet and then you throw new character designs, new leader, new april (2k18 april solos) and couch potato splinter. Like i get it, BUT GIVE IT A CHANCEEEE PLEASE ITS AMAZING.

I personally prefer the new designs better and not just because of the artstyle. Its mostly because of the overall more different shillouettes of them. Like YOU CAN BLACK THEM OUT IN A SHADOW AND YOU CAN TELL WHICH IS WHICH. In the old designs though they were adorable and stubby and nostalgic you couldn't tell them apart very well unless you look for differences in height or weapon, and even so those are smaller parts of a design! I also really like the fact that they're all different turtles in 2018. Like THANKS FOR TELLING ME WHAT A SOFTSHELL IS THEY'RE ADORABLE. I wanna also point out that i really don't mind the change in lore for weapons because i'm gonna be honest i don't know that lore. I just wanna know why donnie 2k12 only had a stick. LIKE HE WAS RIGHT HE COULDNT POSSIBLY FIGHT ALIENS WITH JUST A WOOF STAFF.

Tldr; both are good and we should stop comparing them to eachother because while they are of the same franchise are two different shows that both have ups and downs.

The head of the house Ragnvindr, the Darkside of Dawn, the owner of the renowned Dawn Winery- Many names,.. But for you? He was only your precious father.

He wasnt really good with children to start with, so he started researching all the little details he can possibly discover. If he’s not  satisfied with that, he’d actually ask someone. 

He wants to be the best father for his child, he also doesnt want you to grow with terrible stuff. With every little or big way,he’ll make sure you’ll live your life the fullest while he guides you.

Diluc is described as “aloof, bitter, and distant.”. However, his demeanor changes in front of his child. He’s still indifferent but the thing is- he is wholeheartedly attentive. 

Diluc is also a bit too overprotective. Well, how can he not? He lost his father in a brutal way. The redhead man is basically terrifed of losing another family, let alone his own child. Danger also lurks around uninvited, with your small build- It’s natural for him to put extra caution.

Overprotectiveness aside, he’s not very good in affection. He’s not like the type of father who showers his little one with constant praises and peppers their faces with soft kisses. 

The redhead man is more on the discreet way of showing his adoration. He spoils you a lot too. He has the money, so why not? (But not too much to the point you end up growing bad attitudes.) All your necessities are always laid out and he buys stuff he knows you’ll definitely adore. You want something like that adorable plushie displayed in the shelf of that store? Two seconds later you’re already holding it. Oh, you like that beverage? Consider it your everyday drink. You want to see the stars at night? He’s already making arrangements to have your own planetarium constructed! 

Well, if he’s not spoiling you with inanimate things. He’ll sneak in a few headpats, maybe some careful pecks in the forehead. He’ll also let you sit on his lap and play with your toy as he works on his papers. Diluc wont admit it but, he definitely enjoys having you accompany him while he's working. It makes him feel less tired.

About his work, ever since you came- He made sure he still has time to hang out with you. After all, children grow so fast, why would he want to miss our most adorable days? And if it does come to a point where he really needs to pay extra attention to work- He’ll leave you to Elzer and Adelinde, maybe even Kaeya too. The Chivalry captain is still, after all- One of the few people he trusts you with.

Diluc is also most likely the type who’ll surely carry his child around when he goes on long travels with them. Kaeya will probably make fun of him, but is he ashamed? No, he’ll even feel secretly proud he carries them around.

When it comes to overall raising you to be good, he’s got his ways. One of it is being very strict. Bedtime is bedtime. No more dilly dallying around, off to bed. If you cant sleep, he’ll prepare some warm milk and stroke your heads until you are off to the paradise of dreams. (Oh, maybe he’ll even hum a soft lullaby, who knows-)

He's also a very supportive one, if you want to be an artist- That's fine! Diluc will start buying you paints, papers, pencils and all. Oh, maybe you want to learn how to fight? He'll be a bit hesitant since he doesnt want you to get hurt, but nonetheless, he'll personally teach you how.

 “Uncle Kaeya is here! Daddy! Daddy lookie! It’s uncle Kaeya!” You cheer happily as you start swaying around in the man’s arms. “Uncle! Uncle!”

“Stop moving around, you might fall” Diluc sighs as he watched the chivalry captain wave and walk over. 

“My little niece/nephew sure has sharp eyes” The cryo user softly smiles as he watches the child sling onto their father happily “How have you been lately? You’re getting a lot of sleep right?”

“Mhm! Daddy lets me sleep on his bed when bad dreams come and bother me! He makes them go bye-bye!” You giggle lightly as you snuggled on the crevice of Diluc’s neck “Daddy is the best!”

“Mn” He lightly hummed, stroking your small back with his warm gloved hand.

“Oh? But did you that there is also someone called the ‘Darknight Hero’who beats bad guys in the dead of night? If you call for him, he might just help you get rid of those bad dreams completely” Kaeya chuckled as he watched his sworn brother throw him a small glare

“You’re talking too much” Diluc scoffed at him.

“Darknight Hero? That name sounds cool!” Your eyes twinkled. “But I dont need the darknight hero! No, no, nope!”

“Why not?” Kaeya asked, leaning his head towards you a bit “Dont you want to see a real hero?”

“Heroes are cool and all but... I have Daddy!” Diluc slightly flinched at your reply. “Daddy doesnt need to wait until moon appears to be a hero! Daddy is always here and makes the baddies go bye-bye effortlessly! And daddy is really-really handsome too and-and really strong! I dont need another hero cuz I have daddy! And daddy is all i would ever want!”

Your voice was so full of innocence and admiration one could almost feel like they were walking in a field of flowers. Diluc felt embarassed since Kaeya wasnt the only one who heard- The people passing were in awe by your innocence. He sure is lucky to have such a cute child like you. Being the clueless little angel you are, you rubbed your cheeks together with a proud grin.

“That’s adorable and all... But what about Uncle?” Kaeya cooes.

“Mn... Erm... “ You thought for a bit. “Daddy is still cooler!”

“As cold as your father, you really do take after him” He shakes his head.

“Alright, that’s enough” Diluc finally says. “It’ll be dark soon, it’s best we go home now”

“And I was just beginning to have fun with the little one” He shrugs “You take care now. Be sure to listen to your daddy and sleep a lot so you’ll grow”

“I will!”

With that, Diluc started to head towards the gates of Monstadt.

“Daddy?” You yawned softly.

“Is there something you want?” He asked softly, stroking your back. 

“When I grow big... I want to be just like you... I wanna be strong and make all the baddies... Go bye bye” Your words faltered as you drifted off to sleep in his chest. 

“Not just yet, dont grow up too fast” Diluc whispered in your small ear, nosing your little head and giving it a small peck. he doesnt want that yet, let him  cherish you with all his heart. Let him handle the villains, let him protect you with everything he can. He knows he wont be able to protect you always, he knows there’s always going to be a day where you’ll have to face the dark reality of this world,... But just this once, just a little while longer... Let him cherish your inoccence. Continue to be cluless about the cruel world. Just smile brightly, so bright that even the sun cannot match it.

Mammon and Movies:

Basically! Someone read another fic of mine that included my self insert flappy stimming and also getting mental breakdown so it asked if i could include a couple other stims in another work since he enjoyed my first one! I. Took that request and made an entire fic dedicated to him lmao. So! I asked it later on for what it would like me to include and which character to use and here we are!

This is a 4K fic of Mammon from Obey Me paired with a Neurodivergent!Reader. The plot is that of him showing you a magic trick and smoothly whipping out a movie ticket!! You've been wanting to ask him to see a movie with you for a while so this is perfect! So perfect in fact that you're overwhelmed with happiness and have a brief moment of being nonverbal as you're overwhelmed with euphoria. Then the next day, you meet him at the venue and the date begins! Other scenes include him allowing you to hold onto his bracelets as it's one of your stims (he wears one of every texture to accomodate to your tastes), you dissociating out of anxiety in a movie theatre and him helping to ground you, and finally! Him sleeping on your shoulder before the movie ends.

Ik i kinda just said the majority of the plot lmao but! Its just a fluffy and sweet movie date! I enjoyed writing it a lot although i got about 80% of it done a month ago and tyn didn't touch it for like 2 weeks sjdbsjd i was p sad abt that. I like finishing things quickly esp when its for other people!! But it was a comfort during a hard time to write this work at 2am under the light of a night lamp and to the tune of street life ambience.

Anyway lmao i'm quite happy with this work, it feels very round and finished to me which makes me happy because it means I didn't need to worry about editing it to feel satisfied. The requester liked it a lot too! Which made me super super happy. :>

Now!! For the twisted wonderland!! That’s a comfort plotline of mine that doesn’t really have a title yet and is still a wip that is written through my friend’s DMs BUT! Kalim Al-Asim X Sumi Bint Khattar (Plot line):

So!! This one stemmed from me drawing something out of self indulgence and to show it to my friend, I described Sumi B in full and then I told them about my ships and around that time I had like five love songs I was obsessed with. And for each of them. I had. A separate animatic. For like at least 1 ship, the average was two but one had three. Sumi B was the centre of the most ships but not the only one. Anyway!! I told my friend about this and asked if I could dump my ideas onto them! They agreed and I started with a summarised version but then realised I needed a bit more build up so I started to write it in a bit more detail. Hah. It ended up being a Lot More Detailed but even then, I would write the scenes in a much more fluid and descriptive way if it were Real Writing so! I call it a Plotline. It is very long.

The plot itself is. long now. it’s a slowburn lmao because most if not all of my self insert ships tend to be slowburns. But this one? This particular self insert? Sumi B? Yeah she’s the only one with trust issues so she mothers the BIGGEST slowburns known to history. It takes them a year before she even considers him a friend despite seeing him every day and also having multiple deep conversations with him. Anyway though, this one is a big comfort becuase it has something I didn’t really dare to do before. Kalim, the canon character, falls in love with my oc first. Normally I have it the other way round becuase I’m too scared to assume that I would be like, deserving or like desirable enough for someone to have a crush on me. But with Sumi B, even I have a goddamn crush on her lmao. I indulge myself a bit with this one and really play around with emotions and!! In the most recent scene! We have finally reached the part where she actually starts to love him back! :D

I started this one a loooong time ago, at least a month and maybe two? It was Intended to be finsiehd in one night and then i got carried away and my friend got invested and then I ALSO got invested and so I started to develop the plot further so make it more interesting and keep the buildup going. It’s very fun and though i try to limit myself to summarising actions and dialogue, i fail. very often. so it often has little tidbits of more beautiful sentences and tension lmao. 

This particular fic is based off of my imagined animatic for the song “Would you be so kind” by Dodie! I didn’t know about the song until i saw other people’s animatics and I ended up taking it and running away haha! I’m currently really happy with it however I am really dreading the day where I actually write it out properly. If I don’t? I don’t know. Maybe I’ll post the plotline by itself. I have another fic just like it, one with a different self insert who (in fact) is very very close with Sumi B and considers her his older sister, that i ALSO wrote in semi detailed plot lines in someone’s DMs. Both are massive comforts to me and though i love them, their plot lines are so goddamn long that i will dread the day i decide to write them all out.

So uhm!!! Yeah!! XDD Those are the two fics I was talking about! I hope you enjoyed my small ramblings about them haha. I’m starting college soon though so I fear I might have much more time for fanfic.

Mechanic Tears (A FNAF AU)

Starting strong, Techno and Wilbur met in college, both in different majors (Techno in English, Wilbur going Music), and discover the mutual interest in robots, specially animatronics and AI. Together, they both join in the robotics major, quitting their former. Its around this time that Wilbur meets Sally, a free-lancer artist that sang in the bar next of the university

Time pass, both Wilbur and Techno finally getting what was their first peak and they are confident they can build some state of art animatronics. Wilbur already has Fundy, with Tubbo on the way, and Techno has already 'adopted' Ranboo at this point. They both turn to the kids and decide to take their opinions on the design of the robots

Thats how the first generation of Fungi the Fox and Enderchest the Cat are born, animatronics that could double as suits. Sally gives the opinion of making a restaurant, a pizzeria maybe, and use the animatronics as entertainment. One year later, Ender & Fungi Family Diner was opening to the public

The restaurant is a success, and the lives of both families are sky rocketing. Wilbur and Techno have the chance to hire their old friend, Phil, as the manager, because they wouldn't skip the chance to help a friend

With the sucess, soon they planned new animatronics and a new pizzeria. Tubbo was already a smart kid, that always gave a lot of trouble to Fundy when the brothers were alone, so Wilbur took his opinion on the new animatronic. Techno, being the one to design a second one, decides to be self-indulgent for once

And there it surged Michael Underscore, the undead pig (Tubbo had a really wild imagination) , and Steve, the Polar Bear (Steve was a bear that sat on his cave, reading and reenacting old Greek myths to the kids. Techno was a nerd)

After a coin flip that ended up with Wilbur as the winner, Fungi & Co Pizzeria open to big success, once again improving their life. With the second generation, most commonly called the Classic Versions, of Enderchest and Fungi plus Steve and Michael as the stars

Sadly, Sally was starting to get sick around this time. Not wanting to risk something, she convinces Wilbur to adopt just one more kid. She loved to see the house full and she believed just another one would be perfect

So, they adopt Tommy

And, for a brief moment, it was perfect. Their family was happy, the kids felt right at home in both pizzerias, nothing could shatter that

Until, it did. Sally died some time later and completely destroyed the Soot family, Wilbur specifically. Fundy had to take the parent role, being helped a lot by Techno, while Wilbur spiraled into despair and alcohol to help his grief

Trying to get better and prove to himself he wasnt broken, Wilbur quits his partnership with Techno (still in good terms) and starts an entire new brand of pizzeria

This is finally time to Tommy to pick a design, being the family tradition at this point, and so the face of the new pizzeria appears: Party Henry, a cow animatronic that could play music (even vinyl disks!!), dispense soda, dance and interact with kids, plus a hidden feature that gave the robot the ability to make cotton candy, being a surprise that Wilbur made

The older 2 designs Wilbur had, Fungi and Michael, were remade as the new lineage of the Party Animatronics

As the forth animatronic, Wilbur made a mermaid. The robot could walk around in two legs and have them transformed back into a tail when sat on a rock on its stage. The animatronic could sing and had a beautiful red, almost orange, hair. No one stopped Wilbur when he named it Sally the Salmon (for some reason), maybe that was his way to cope

Not satisfied with how the AI of the animatronics used to be, Wilbur went far and beyond with this set. It was smart. Way too smart. Focused on entertainment, of course, and always learning the best way to keep the guests happy, but nothing restrained the AI to change focus. Which really distracted him of other things, like clear defects on some animatronics that could have been fixed

Party Henry Pizza World opened and it was a big hit right at its first day! A lot of people had heard about the famous engineer Soot and his new big project, and all wanted to see it

Sadly, things didn't end up good at the restaurant. When both Tubbo and Tommy locked themselves at the room dedicated to Party Henry, the animatronic produced some cotton candy for Tommy, and a glitch happened in the animatronic's system, the kid being pulled into the opening on Party Henry's chest and being trapped within the machinery. He suffocated to death

Tubbo was deeply traumatized, and the two other Soot family members were not that far behind. Fundy closing himself to the world and Wilbur closing himself inside the Party Henry's Rental and Entertainment warehouse, trying to know what the fuck he did wrong and how he could have messed so much that he ended up killing his own son

Which, well, end up in more alcohol

Meanwhile, Techno was trying to plan something to help his best friend

Ranboo already had turned into a close friend to Tubbo, slowing helping him with his trauma, so Techno was sure he got that front covered. Techno then made a new animatronic, a security marionette, to always be in check of kids, so a Tommy-Situation didnt happen again. And so, he called Wilbur to check it one night, while Techno was still working at the Family Diner

Since Ranboo was still to convince Tubbo to go with him to the Diner, he was all by himself when a couple of mean kids decided to temper with him, kicking him out in the rain at the back alley

Thats when Wilbur comes by, drunk, and accidentally hits Ranboo. He does his best to save the kid, but it was too late. Wilbur flees from the scene

The marionette manages to go after Ranboo, breaking down in the rain while trying to cover the lanky body of the kid

Tubbo has a shift after the news, becoming more scared and nervous, which once again distraught Fundy to the point he closes himself even more

Which doesnt help when those same bullies put Tubbo right into Fungi's mouth when they are celebrating Tubbo's birthday at the Family Diner

After Tubbo dies, Wilbur sends Fundy to a boarding school, trying to protect Fundy but only breaking their relationship apart

While alone, and desperate, still working at the underground facility and on Party Henry, and thats how he finally discovers that Tommy's spirit is still there, soaking the animatronic with agony and something called remnant, haunted metal powered by bad emotions that basically trapped souls. He also tests the Fungi animatronic that killed Tubbo, finding the same results. And so, Wilbur slowly starts to lose it, now fully believing theres a way to bring his boys back

Meanwhile, Techno closes the Family Diner, retiring the old two animatronics, now withered, and leaving them in the storage room of the Fungi & Co pizzeria, also bringing the security marionette and re purposing it as a small attraction in Prize Corner, not knowing about the soul hunting the robot

Wilbur wouldn't risk hurting any part of his kids soul, so, he just does what he thinks he needs to be done. He was so close to fixing his family that he snapped, not thinking straight when he went to the pizzeria and put the withered Enderchest suit

He attracts five tweens, one of them being the birthday boy, and just does the deed, trying to turn himself away from it.

A girl with blond short hair, Niki, goes into the classic Fungi animatronic. Another blond kid, nickname apparently being Purpled, goes into Steve. The boy with the very distinct name of Jack Manifold easily fits into the Michael suit. The third boy, Eryn, is easy to put into the classic Enderchest. Wilbur, still with an intoxicated mind, forgot where to put the fifth kid, the birthday, the terror of what he did finally hitting him as Wilbur decides to run away, leaving Quackity behind

Its Ranboo, possessing Marionette, that places Quackity into the withered Fungi suit, not knowing Tubbo's spirit already possessed it, making the two souls share the body. At the end, Wilbur was right, the animatronic actually ended up becoming hunted, but he never went back to check

After the missing kids drama, Techno shuts down the pizzeria, giving the ownership to Phil as he decides to just distance himself from all the tragedies. Wilbur does something similar, planing to move somewhere far away

Phil then starts to plan a new business plan, first step being contracting someone new to take care of the animatronics, people said they were really starting to smell bad

And, as time passed, Fundy was finally out of the boarding school and going back home. He planned to make amends with Wilbur, maybe, start on a new page

But Wilbur had other plans. He couldnt discover how to save his sons, but maybe Fundy would. Fundy was a smart kid, and probably an even smarter adult. He could solve it

Wilbur, right before Fundy comes back, writes everything. All about remnant and agony, at least all Wilbur could discover, and also writes a set of orders: "1) Go to Party Henry's Rental and Entertainment / 2) Use the recommendation card I wrote and get a job as a technician / 3) Work at the night shift, down the facility / 4) Take care of him". Right by the order list, was the recommendation letter

As a last note, written on a post it, it only read "Save Tommy"

Fundy believed his dad went nuts. And now Wilbur didnt even answered his calls or left a trail to where he might have been gone to

Fundy felt alone, but that wasn't the first time that Wilbur had sent him away

He decides to obey the orders. It was a job, after all, and it paid well. He really wanted to live by himself at this point

So, Fundy now finds himself going down the elevator, trying to understand why the fuck his dad mentioned that Tommy would be down there

I decided to end here :) all the set is placed for the domino sequence, basically :D

blood seal of the eternal mermaid (2011):

+ really lovely character designs especially for lupin he looked great

+ animation = good!!!

+ lupins dynamic with the maki was cute. i like seeing lupin in the cool big bro role

+ some gr8 zenigata moments

+ i liked those introspective moments with lupin questioning his identity and legacy

+ toonami dub cast. tony oliver lupin is just Right

- main plot wasnt super interesting to me tbh

- the rest of the gang kiiiinda felt sidelined? it felt very centric to lupin and i mean yeah he is the main character but i feel like theres usually a lot more gang shenanigans you know

bye bye lady liberty! (1989):

+ idk if everyone is gonna vibe with these 80s character designs but personally i loved them. it had a cartoony energy that felt fun. animation was nice too

+ silly :^) it made me smile a lot while watching

+ i felt like the whole cast was well utilized here. everyone got some good moments

+ moemon

~ tonally this movie is kind of.... bizarre. i wouldnt say thats totally a bad thing because personally i like bizarre tone but it might not be satisfying for those who prefer something more concrete or mature. this special almost feels like it could be something you could watch with your family with how goofy it is.... but then it will hit you with something that is clearly not family friendly

the castle of cagliostro (1979):

+ its a miyazaki movie. do i really have to elaborate. in the 1 hour in 40 minutes of this film you will have a wonderful time

+ pretty accessible for anyone to enjoy even if they dont know jack shit about lupin. i watched it with my gf who had never seen a lupin anime before and we both had a great time

+ i really gotta hand it to miyazaki for creating this kinder, gentler version of lupin. feel like this movie had to be pretty influential to future characterizations of lupin that have him as a lovable little rascal instead of a devastatingly horny morally bankrupt creature of chaos

- id say the only real drawback of this film is that while it IS a great and accessible point for franchise beginners, they might get whiplash from moving from this pleasant gentleman thief lupin to a LESS gentlemanly thief lupin....

+ when lupin is briefly shown to have a whole wardrobe full of feminine clothes that would only really make sense for him to have if he wears them regularly. probably for disguises but i like that he seems so comfortable with it and its not made into a joke either. in fact in his very first scene he is disguised as a woman and was femme fataling for a heist and i honest to god thought he was fujiko at first

- .... not to say this or many other pieces of lupin media are progressive. ngl there were some parts i feel didnt age great particularly one horny lupin moment with fujiko that left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth

- artstyle is just kinda Bland. idk if i would go far enough to say its BAD but it didnt stand out to me

the first (2019):

+ i had so much fun watching this movie its a fucking blast. everything looks gorgeous

+ watched the dub and it was fantastic especially tony oliver doing a great job with lupin as always

- big cw for n*zis though and its unavoidable since they are the antagonists and its a big part of the plot

- besides that honestly i cant think of many complaints maybe the story isnt amazing but i feel like the primary objective of this film is to be fun and it succeeds at that 

the fuma conspiracy (1987):

+ cute!!!!! a fun lil movie thats an enjoyable watch

+ character designs and animation is great

+ i liked murasaki she was so good

+ terminally gay pops

+ opening song BANGS 

~ this movie somewhat notorious for not featuring the usual voice cast for the time because of budget reasons which is pretty weird but... ok? personally it didnt affect my enjoyment of the movie and these voice actors did a fine job but some may be off put by it

the hemingway papers (1990):

+ jigens terrible taste in men

+ cute artstyle that is pretty much the same as bye bye liberty

+ i really enjoy jigen in this one. hes hung up over his Mysterious Gunslinger Past™️ and tries to be the lone ranger for a bit but in the end he cares about his silly polycule too muh

- gonna be honest this one kinda dragged for me a bit plot wise. there were a lot of cute moments but besides those and jigen’s ex sideplot it wasnt terribly interesting

- pops was definitely sidelined 😔

island of assassins/walther p38 (1997):

+ this is a great more action oriented special! if you are looking to watch something more serious but not quite koike levels serious this is a solid choice

+ i actually was pretty interested in the plot itself which is rare for lupin specials lol

+ amazing smooth animation and fight scenes!! it wasnt too shocking to find out that it had been worked by many well known talents in the industry like gainax/trigger’s hiroyuki imaishi

+ MY FUJIGOE CRUMBS

+ elen was a pretty cool original character

+ zenigata WAS kinda sidelined again but..... theres a scene where he literally resurrects himself from the brink of death right after his heart stops because someone in the room mentioned lupin. i think that makes up for it

- artstyle/character designs are kinda... idk if i would say BAD but they are very much a Generic 90s Action Anime style. not my favorite look

jigen’s gravestone (2014):

+ jiglup. i loved their relationship progression so much!!! it seems like they are still early in their partnership in this movie... work partners but not quite friends yet.... at first. you can really see the turning point where their relationship start evolving into something deeper and into the mutual trust we come to expect from them. its great im rotating them in my mind

+ animation is so so so so so great and sexy also

- time to address the elephant in the room... if you have seen jigen’s gravestone, or know anything about the plot, chances are you know what im talking about. fujiko’s narrative treatment is BAD bad and deeply disappointing even though i enjoyed the rest of the film a lot. really say what you will about twcfm but... sayo yamamoto would have never put fujiko in a scene like that, at least never at that level of gratuitousness. i heard these films do get better with fujiko and im still plenty of excited to watch more but yeah that was Yikes  

operation return the treasure! (2003):

+ this special was like. delightful. what a good goofy little experience. was laughing AND smiling

+ idk if it was just me but kanichi kurita seemed to be putting in effort to make lupin sound EXTRA silly. and i totally appreciate it because this lupin is so cute

+ animation was solid!

+ i thought the premise was great. the concept of the gang having to return a bunch of treasures instead of stealing them is so fun. the plot got a little strange with the alien stuff there at the end but hey its lupin its natural at this point

+ jigen :^) i love him being all like “this job is DUMB and im not doing it” at the beginning and then getting fully invested in the antics. this guy is way too weak for his partner

- Man in a Dress Joke :^/ for the most part the humor in this special is superb but understandably this one does not land great even if it is far from the worst of these jokes ive seen

prison of the past (2019):

+ must a lupin the third special be “good”? is it not enough to watch some entertaining stupid shit?

+ i really enjoyed watching this ngl the plot was not interesting but i enjoyed the character interactions enough that it made up for it

+ im glad yata was utilized in this special because his dynamic with zenigata is delightful. i hope they get to do more funny shit together in part 6

+ huge win for lupin/jigen/goemon enjoyers. it was really cute how goemon has a bit of reflection on why he decides to stay with these clowns and comes to the conclusion that he loves being part of this circus

+ jigens terrible taste in men: the return

- like i said the plot isnt interesting and i wouldn’t call it an Essential watch either but hey i came here to be entertained and i was entertained

tokyo crisis (1998):

+ finally time for pops to shine!! and he certainly does!

+ actual memorable original character!!!! bring back maria you cowards….

+ this is an ultimate jigoe special they are paired up for most of it and they are so goddamn funny

+ seriously this special is full of great gags

+ tho im more used to the toonami dub cast i saw the dub for this special recommended so i gave it a shot… and it Owns though i still prefer the toonami cast overall

+ animation is seriously top tier

- it might have been implied (in the dub at least) that zenigata had romantic interest in maria which is yknow a little weird since hes twice her age but ultimately its pretty low key and he gets firmly Father Figure Zoned by the end and nothing ever goes beyond that

2012 v 2019 v 2022  i started the project as like a light redraw attempt of the first i drew her legs originally but didnt care for how it looked so decided to give up on that and just go forward with how id draw stuff now and have fun with the armor details the first is one of my absolute first digital art attempts ever and i was so proud of figuring out the airbrush tool and i think of that drawing very fondly my 2019 attempt i gave up kind of halfway thru and it wasnt really to the standards of my art at the time so i feel like that version maybe does a better pose that 13 year old me would have wanted to try but the current attempt is more like trying to show my current art skill level and i found it more fun to just go on and on with adding more and more detail to the armor rather than go for full accuracy to the original also i think the character was supposed to be named lune so here she is in the absolute most extreme detail i could manage today even if im still not satisfied with the coloring something that will probably never change but thats that <3

Wooowwwwwww I never expect much of anything from Zack Snyder but watchmen is almost alarmingly faithful to the comic.... obviously they couldn't put everything because that shit is long-winded but every major story beat is present almost exactly the same some of the scenes are visually presented almost exactly the same and many lines lifted word for word..... even the major change of the ending was reasonable and perfectly fitting to the condensed version of the story like what else could they have done.... without the disappearances/black freighter B Plot they couldnt pull the Interdimensional Eldritch Hell Creature out of thin air as much as I love that stupid shit ... i guess he knew not to fuck with it too much. I thought the costumes were unbelievably stupid looking in posters and stuff but they're not That bad in the film itself and doc manhatty is not nearly as awful to look at as he could've been given the cgi reliance necessary..... which brings me to the casting . Ok. Improvements could have been made. Rorschach was basically perfect as a grimy angry little cringe weasel #Redhead and when he blows up its like perfectly acted I won't lie Wig On Mars Hurrm but just about everyone else..... alright whatever I won't get into it. Lauries fine I mean she cant act but she's fine... same with Dan i guess though I can barely stand to look at that man. Adrian wasn't nearly purple/gold enough BTW and he was supposed to be sexy . Manhattan should've had stronger vocal presence cause he borders on Michael Cera sometimes but I won't lie his blue penis is hilarious. Also what the fuck accent was Adrian supposed to have cause at first i thought he was just plain american but then it seemed like they were going for german and then in the last few scenes hes like distinctly british. what went on there.  In general i liked how many lines were taken directly from the comic but some of them were just. Delivered so weakly that it wasn't even satisfying or whatever it makes it more of an eyeroll the one that pops out is lauries “youre such an asshole” orwhatever she says when she tries to shoot Veidt like it was so weak and she wasnt even that upset or crying like she shouldve been... OH Laurie and Jon's argument on Mars is so bad it's literally barely a conversation and it's so short I mean I wouldn't add another 5 minutes to the runtime just for that but him just making her see The Truth and then being like damnnnn that shit is bonkers you are literally you individually.. I guess humanity matters..... it's just silly and I know it's mostly like that in the comic too but like. No it's not. Hm. The movie overall is just really ugly to look at throughout (The Snyder Factor) and some scenes are just full on cringe I can't describe it better than that but basically I enjoyed it.. yeah. Not bad. Especially for something like watchmen cause when I finished reading it I was like HOWWWWW the fuck could someone have possibly made a movie out of this. Whatever. Crazy how I couldn't think of literally anything to say when I finished the actual comic but now I feel like I could make 4 more posts of this length
