Anne:

Her longtime friend describes her as a sweet girl who could never get involved in the time travel murder game. She then proceeds to get deeply involved in the time travel murder game, effortlessly murdering a cop and said friend to advance in it. After her first murder she talks about how she’s proud of who she’s becoming. She proceeds to then become one of the central figures of the espionage organization that the protagonist and his friends run, and later goes on to form a different organization composed entirely of different iterations of herself from different time periods which is widely regarded as one of the most stable and powerful organizations of its kind. She continues to plot out and commit assassinations and the like, but they’re for the purpose of advancing time travel research and protecting her friends.

Gwendolyn Poole AKA Gwenpool:

Gwen is transported to the Marvel universe from our world and since she doesn't want to be an "extra" who dies in some disaster decides to become a super hero. Unfortunately she sucks at it and becomes a mercenary instead. She becomes M.O.D.O.K.'s henchman for a while after killing his top henchman. She is seemingly sent home but it turns out it's a plot to contain her and keep her from becoming a super villain in the future. It backfires and gives her the 4th wall breaking powers she uses for villainy in the future. Since she is from our world it took her a while to truly see the people around her as real and not fictional characters, hence becoming a villain in the future. She erases that future when she decides she cares about the characters and doesn't want to become the villain that ruins their lives but in doing so she also erases what would have been many years of comics starring her, so she has a bit of an existential crisis and eventually starts doing more morally ambiguous things again to stay relevant and thus continue to exist.

Appreciation post for Anne in episode 5. the woman heard that her friend from college who she hasn’t really talked to in a while “died in a home renovation accident” and she went “he would not fucking do that” and BROKE INTO HIS APARTMENT, then when she couldn’t find any leads there she STOLE SAID DEAD FRIEND’S PHONE FROM HIS GRIEVING PARENTS, decided to play the game that got her friend killed, and SHOWED THE AFOREMENTIONED GRIEVING PARENTS A VIDEO OF THEIR SON SAWING HIS LEFT ARM OFF AT THE SHOULDER TO WIN AN ONLINE GAME. she was NOT normal even before woe.begone but that’s not even all. when the dead-now-alive friend goes “wow you did all that for me?” she IMMEDIATELY shuts him down and tells him that she only did this to figure out what happened, she ended her email with “if i lose, you die” like a totally normal person which technically happened in episode 4 but it feels relevant. she then asks him to help her kill a cop, goes through HORRIBLE trauma, and when Mike apologizes for what she had to go through SHE SAYS SHE LIKES WHO SHE’S BECOMING. FUCKING WILD THING TO SAY AFTER MURDERING SOMEONE. godddd and how she was scared during the entire process of yknow. killing a cop who was known to be violent and threatened her and now look at everything she’s done.

sorry thinking about mikey being a little thief. just pocketing things for no reason. he keeps stealing pens from base and eventually anne puts her foot down and is like. Who is doing this . Reveal yourself. and hes like well i dont know anything about that. goodbye. and just walks out. edgars clothes dont fit him but he'll still snag a sweater or two for no reason other than to have them. edgar is aware of it and thinks its cute until hes digging through his closet looking for a specific sweater for an event and mikeys standing behind him like🧍‍♂️man thats crazy . wonder where it went. while fully aware of the fact that the sweater in question is somewhere in the mess of his cabin
