maybe 🔪 and/or 💌 for all the ros please? and welcome back, hope you're doing well!!
how do they react to injury / misfortune befalling their loved ones (significant other, family, friends)? do they put themselves at blame?
(answering the second question specifically)
dr advani: yes
mlle brideaux: no<3 (yes)
mrs griffiths: no
mr lennox: yes
señorita navarro: no
mr samson: yes
herr weber: yes
do they like love letters? what kind of messages do they leave for their partner?
dr advani: LOVES letters holy shit please write this man a letter. if he lives with a partner he would definitely leave notes around the house - if they’re separate, he would try and sneak notes into places for them to find later. little reminders that he loves them that would be deeply personal.
mlle brideaux: hates writing generally - were she alive in the modern day, she would be diagnosed with dyslexia in a heartbeat. she reads well enough (when motivated, see: her previously mentioned collection of erotica) - but her writing anything for a partner would be quite a profound display of emotion for her.
mrs griffiths: feels a little uncomfortable at first about leaving things in black and white - would be much more comfortable leaving little notes than writing great long letters. but is probably the most likely to keep little scraps of notes.
mr lennox: writes grandiose love letters and will give a dramatic reading - but there’s a little quaver to his voice as he does it.
señorita navarro: would be much more comfortable writing a letter than actually telling someone something emotional face-to-face - any admission of feelings would happen in a very messy letter, with lots of crossing-out and editing
mr samson: would be less likely to write something like a letter and would be more likely instead to either recommend a book or to copy out a passage from a book.
herr weber: isn’t all that confident in his written English but he would treasure a letter deeply - well-worn, tracing over words if they fade etc

@lvenderhze gets a starter for Evie!
Tumblr media
The Captain makes his way into his quarters, long day on duty just come to an end. Even when they were within the walls, there was plenty of work to be done. Training, planning for their next expedition. Helping Erwin's stubborn ass with paperwork. All of it is behind Levi now, as he shuts the door behind him – a barrier between him and the day's work.
He barely reacts when he sees Evie laying on his bed already, atop the covers, book in hand. It's a normalcy for them now, a small comfort the two find in each other. He'd relieved her from her duties early; she had quite the tiresome day dealing with the brats, after all.
Levi kicks his boots off – meticulously placing them in their rightful place in the corner – before he proceeds to unbuckle his harnesses. He can feel Evie's eyes on him now, momentarily torn away from her book. ❛ Stop staring. ❜ The Captain scoffs, turning to look back at her over his shoulder. Sure enough, she's looking right at him. She'd know he's teasing her. ❛ Your book not interesting enough for you? ❜

❛  don’t  lie  to  me .  ❜ levi to evie
“i —,” is what comes out at first, but when he says that. when he says don’t lie to me, she’s acutely aware she can’t. not for much longer. her head is screaming, her legs are going to give out from underneath her.
she didn’t think she was that close when the bastard started oozing steam. but now, she couldn’t cool down. evie felt on fire. in fact, she's honestly never felt this pain before. but she need to see something. she needs to lay eyes on the rest of her friends. the rest of team levi.
evie would like the luxury of lying, but as she takes a limp forward… honesty is written on her face. she's literally shaking with pain, her eyes blurry with the heat of it al. “i --- it hurts, but i need to see.” she’s not leaning forward. so why does it look like he’s getting closer?
but then, she sees them. she sees at least some of team levi. good news. good news ---
just as she thinks that, her feet collapse from exhaustion.

i have been getting a tad bit too obsessed with reverse 1999 lately and compiled some stuff around might edit it if i find more
this yapping session will be abt sonetto
her name is deprived from a fourteen line poetry called the Sonnet while also having the meaning of “little song or sound’
her udimo is a dog called Cirneco Dell’Etna a breed that originated from italy as stated in her storyboard
Tumblr media
she doesn't know her date of birth and uses the date of when she was adopted by the foundation as her birthday (January 10th)
she's 16 yrs old
she's speculated to be 5'3 ft or 160 cm
her compliments are so sincere that people are often too shy to face her (the rizzler)
back in SPDM she was worried about vertin's arcane skill exams and tutored her privately
a helper in the SPDM once found a challenge letter with pink heart patterns in the trash bin (might imply that the letter was from matilda to sonetto)
sonetto is an artist as stated in her 80% bond story and glassfeder's description
sonetto likes collecting newspapers and treasures them
every year she gets a present from vertin on her birthday which is mostly a collection of poems
it’s implied (this is really obvious) that she has a crush on the timekeeper/Vertin and has also been implied sonetto's va during the reddit Q&A
Tumblr media Tumblr media
on her medal she has an embroidered dog on it (i just thought this was cute)
Tumblr media
since she doesn't know much about the outside world or her culture she doesn't see anything wrong with pineapple pizza or gelato pizza for that matter (april fools and pizza hut collab comic)
she keeps a frog in a jar in her room
time for voiceline analysis
"Sempre caro mi fu quest'ermo colle.”
this quote is derived from the poem L’Infinito by Giacomo Leopardi in the autumn of 1819 the poem is meant to show how he yearns to travel beyond his restrictive hometown of Recanati and experience more of the world that he studied.
this can also show the way sonetto might have wished to see the outside world just as she studied on the textbooks
"Regna sereno intenso ed infinito.”
a line from the poem Mezzogiorno Alpino written after a short stay in Courmayeur, Giosuè Carducci reflects on the clear Alpine landscape, with the aim of highlighting the power of nature.
the trees stood as if to enjoy the pleasure of the sunlight penetrating their branches, absolute silence dominates, broken only by the rustling of the river water.
this might show how much interest and adoration sonetto shows towards things outside of the foundation
“So long lives this and this gives power to thee.”
a line from the famous poem Sonnet 18 by William Shakespeare, where he used this poem to praise the beauty of his beloved where their beauty is more preferable than a hot summer day. theres a bit of a change in the lines "So long lives this and this gives life to thee." the original line used life instead of power, it wouldn't really make sense if they used life for a buffer it would've been more of a healing skill so i get it
(i actually don't know what link this has towards sonetto soo fun fact sonnet 18 was about a man)
"I know the moon and this is an alien city”
the line is derived from the poem A London Thoroughfare 2 A.M by Amy Lowell the meaning of this poem is the feeling of being lost in a busy city, expressing emotions such as loneliness and being overwhelmed and how the only thing familiar to the writer was the moon. (aight im sorry idk how to word this one again another fun fact Amy Lowell is a sapphic and likes to call her muse or lover Lady of the moon)
“Each moment, now night.”
One of the lines from the poem Night by Max Weber (not the sociologist, also not sure on what to write since i dont actually know what the poem actually means i like to think that its about the silence and darkness of the night to show loneliness)
so basically most of these references loneliness and adoration towards the things the writer wrote about which might link to how sonetto might feel adoration and curiosity for the outside world and how she might've felt lonely in the foundation after being closed off from the outside world
(sorry if some words might not make sense and for how many things i've kept blank i failed literature so feel free to correct me im always up for discussion, its funny the way i found out most poets are queer are because of this)

Let’s call this ‘Variations on an MG-string’ - Mørck’s mood from cool to warm to abso-bloody-lutely (re: Mona/Rachel, of course). They are two out of at least eleven further prints of this kind, which appeared on the book markets of rich German merchant towns as of 1488. All pamphlets start with a very brief biography of Vlad III, followed by an unsystematic listing of almost 50 gruesome anecdotes from his reign. Antonio Bonfini (Latin variant: Antonius Bonfinius; 1427‒1502) was an Italian humanist and poet who spent the last years of his career as a court historian in Hungary. He was a secretary to King Matthias Hunyadi Corvinus and was commissioned by him to produce a work chronicling the History of Hungary. Bonfini arrived at Matthias’s court in 1486; the king assigned him this project in 1488. Under Matthias’s successor Vladislaus II, Bonfini could continue his work intermittently until 1497. Bonfini gives in his work a lengthy description of the alleged “crimes” of the Wallachian Prince Vlad III, closely resembling the German stories. Some of the paragraphs coincide with the German pamphlets, while others are different. Bonfini apparently used a printed or manuscript version of the malicious German narratives about Drakulya which were circulating at that time. 1) Original pages of Bonfini “Rerum Hungaricarum Decades”, available at http://epa.oszk.hu/.../MKSZ_EPA00021_1984_100_04_330-373... 2) Critical edition of Bonfini’s work by I. Ludovico (also spelled Lodovico) Antonio Muratori was an Italian historian, notable as a leading scholar of his age. Duke Rinaldo I d'Este (1700) appointed him archivist and librarian in Modena’s Ducal library, which position he held until his death in that city. He studied sources for a history of Italy, and as a fruit of his researches there appeared the large work, “Rerum italicarum Scriptores ab anno æræ christianæ 500 ad annum 1500” (Writers on Italy, 500–1500). It was published in twenty-eight folio volumes with the assistance of the Società Palatina of Milan (Milan, 1723–51). In Volume 18 of his massive work (18.2: Matthaei de Griffonibus “Memoriale historicum de rebus Bononiensium”: aa. 4448 a.C.-1472 d.C.), we can find a brief account of the Wallachian victories against the Ottoman forces of Mehemet II in the summer of 1462. The thrilling news of the attack on the Ottoman camp by the troups of Vlad III Drakulya were brought to Bologna by Venetian merchant’s letters. According to these reports, 40000 Turks were slained or take prisoners. 💙 and ☄️ for everyone? glad to see you’re back!
💙 BLUE HEART - do they miss their s/o easily? how do they act when their s/o isn't around?
dr advani misses his s/o desperately when apart - depending on where they are, he would potentially beg one of his bosses at oxford to use their telephone (if the s/o had access to a telephone). failing that, he would send daily letters.
mlle brideaux misses her s/o but will put on a brave face - if you were an acquaintance of hers, you may not realise anything was wrong.
mrs griffiths misses her s/o but would like to keep busy - the house has never been so clean, the appliances have never been so well-maintained, her employer is astounded by the number of extra hours she does, her s/o will be astonished by the sheer volume of crafting projects waiting for them on their return.
if anything, mr lennox goes out on the town even more than normal - he cannot bear to be at home alone once he has grown to share it with someone.
to the untrained eye, srta navarro looks no different during the absence. but she visibly relaxes when she sees them again - it's only then that you would realise how tense she has been.
mr samson behaves similarly to mr lennox but would typically be a little more reckless - he would definitely tail more dangerous individuals to distract himself from missing his s/o.
herr weber would be almost charmingly useless without the thought of his s/o waiting at home for him. his work is a disaster, everyone has to repeat everything 6 times because he is Not paying attention. immediately relaxes when he knows his s/o is back
☄️ COMET - what do people assume about them? are they right?
we're playing with fire here, anon, but i'll definitely answer the first half <3
dr advani: a calm, polite gentleman who is always diplomatic and who never has a bad word to say about anyone.
mlle brideaux: a frivolous hussy who uses her career to gain renown with the aim of finding a rich husband.
mrs griffiths: a callous golddigger who has driven three husbands to the grave.
mr lennox: a feckless layabout who is wasting his parents' money with no regard to the future.
srta navarro: a quiet, mouse-like servant who keeps her head down.
mr samson: an aggressive lummox who is barely suited for civilised life.
herr weber: an incompetent buffoon who seems to go through life unpunished.
