Heya everyone~!
So I thought I’d share my new webcomic with you all! It’s called “B(Positive)”! I thought I’d take the plunge and submit it for consideration in the Webtoons 2018 Contest!
There are many, many different types of vampires documented throughout the years; each case unique, but equally stigmatized by fear and distrust. Living with such a condition is no laughing matter, even with the existence of the once mythological disease publicized and heavily regulated. The best that Basil, a newly diagnosed vampire, can do, is face each new night with a positive outlook, even as they seem to grow darker and colder...
When life gives you fangs, grin and bare them.
I posted the Prologue today! If you’re interested, please go check it out!

Thank you very, very much!!

The Trash of the Count's Family

The Trash of the Count's Family (백작가의 망나니가 되었다) Kakao page Webtoon trailer (No English subs)
Tumblr media
Trash of the Count's family 백작가의 망나니가 되었다 is the webtoon adaptation of a famous Korean web novel of the same name. This novel won the grand prize at the 2018 Korean Web Novel Contest.  It is an ongoing series with 600+ episodes.
It stared with Kim Rok-Soo who possessed the body of an extra villain character of the fantasy novel he was reading.  As a trash of the Count's family, Cale Henituse tries to avoid his destiny (being beaten miserably by the novel's protagonist) by changing the story a little bit, but he ends up being caught in big events on a continental scale.
Since last year, I've been in love with Korean web novels. I started with Korean fantasy sub-genre called "RoFan 로판 (Romance Fantasy for female readers)"  such as Who made me a princess 어느날 공주가 되어 버렸다 or The Emperor and the Female Knight 황제와 여기사. However, I was getting tired of similar settings and plots, so I moved to the fantasy sub-genre for male readers. Even though it was originally designed for male readers, there are a few novels also favored by female readers, and one of them was The Trash of the Count's Family 백작가의 망나니가 되었다.
For reference, the following is the “Four most popular Korean fantasy novels among Korean female readers” (4대 판소).
Omniscient Reader 전지적 독자 시점
The S-Classes that I raised 내가 키운 S급들
How to live as the Enemy Prince 적국의 왕자로 사는 법
The Trash of the Count's family 백작가의 망나니가 되었다

Tumblr media
Omniscient Reader 전지적 독자 시점 (Completed) :
The biggest bestseller among existing Korean web novels. The largest fandom with almost equal preference between male and female readers. Many BL fans as well as many general fans. It became more popular after the webtoon's release. The representative work of the Korean fantasy sub-genre called "Constellations 성좌물".
Tumblr media
The S classes that I raised 내가 키운 S급들 (Ongoing) :
The 30-year-old protagonist is the weakest F-class hunter. He decides to go back to the past five years ago, when his younger brother loses his life while trying to save him from a dangerous monster in a dungeon. The 25-year-old protagonist reconciled with his brother and awakens his unique skills as a 'caregiver' and tries to save the world by discovering and raising S-class hunters. It started as a typical male-oriented fantasy novel but I'm sure almost 90% readers are women right now. The original novel itself contains strong homosexual tension of almost BL level, so it has the support of enthusiastic BL fandom. No webtoon is released yet. One of the representative work of the K-fantasy sub-genre called "Dungeon raid" (or "Hunters"). Solo leveling 나혼자만 레벨업 belongs to this genre as well.
How to live as the Enemy Prince 적국의 왕자로 사는 법 :
The protagonist is the second prince of the kingdom destroyed by the neighboring invasion. When he opened his eyes, he realized that he was in the body of the youngest prince of the enemy country a few years before being killed. To stop his half brother from invading his kingdom in the future, the protagonist tries to understand him and gradually saves everyone around. I personally love this novel, but the author died of a chronic illness a few months ago, so we can never see the ending. No webtoon is made yet.

Is it possible for an original creator to make a webcomic that's less than 40 panels? Like if I wanna be a creator but I can't guatantee that I'd make those panels weekly.
the more you draw, the more you'll be able to draw quickly and doing a large number of panels will come easier especially as you learn various tricks/shortcuts that help with your work flow.
but as it stands no, pretty sure webtoon's absolute minimum is 40 panels per episode. Unless you are a slice of life comic - but even those usually update at least twice a week - so it would end up being at least 40 anyway.
Still... starting a comic with the goal of being picked up is... a swift road to disappointment. Like I put Muted in the contest back in 2018 because it started right when I was going to start anyway so I thought I might as well take the chance since - but then I didn't win or place at all - so I continued on with the intention of just updating on my own at 20-25 panels a week because it was a story I really wanted to get out there, ya know?
Webcomics are hard work, especially if you're not getting paid for it you need to satisfy your needs first above everything else.

Lmao rlly? I just assume all fandom blogs I like the content of are around 3k asfhsdjf... no idea you were so new to this you give off big blog energy
I think its because of my 9 years of social media centered towards fandoms. I’m 21 so almost half of my life was devoted to fandoms, creating and getting involved in any kind of fandom creativity, from fanfiction writing to roleplaying ocs.
I started out on deviantart, with my first account solely focused on one anime fandom. I wrote alot of xReader fanfiction and got oddly popular there. Its probably my second highest follower count.
A year later, I discovered tumblr through a dear friend, a bit before peak tumblr. I also got involved in that anime fandom there as well. Fun fact, I apparently created legendary memes in that fandom that seems to still be shared. And when I say legendary, I mean like an average of 1K likes and probably more cause they have been shared outside deviantart still only got a bit less than 300 watchers there
After a while, I started getting into Superwholock, more so towards Doctor Who than the rest. I had a balance of those 2 fandoms for a long time. in both deviantart and Doctor Who.
However, somethings happened and I left that anime fandom and created a new deviantart. I forgot why but I wanted to just cut myself off from that fandom. Around this time, I had been deep into One Piece, especially the One Piece OC fandom.
I don’t think many people know this, but my passion had always been making OCs. My oldest oc was a One Piece OC that I still have now and kicking. My deviantart was where I posted alot about my op ocs. I owe alot to One Piece and its influence to my life. I wouldnt have the friends, experience, or even art skills without it.
After awhile, I kinda dropped the Doctor Who fandom as Superwholock ended. I became a jack of all trades in fandom, where I knew different fandoms and was into anything from video games, Youtubers, anime, books, and the like, but I was still focused on One Piece.
After a a year or two, I got into rp on tumblr. I made an rp account for my op ocs and did stupid things here and there with my friends in the community. My art skills were still not that great at the time nor was my writing skills but I kept going at it.
Even then, I dropped that rp account to focus on other things like art and more oc development and creation. It was during the time of Mary Sue witch hunting. If you were a part of the One Piece oc community, you will know what I’m talking about. It was around this time i was more active on tumblr than deviantart. There is just a easier way of sharing art and creative works here than on deviantart, where you would need a strong following to even get your work noticed.
During 2014-2015, my experience as a oc creator went to a next level. So a tdlr in the op oc fandom. Because of the anime and its pirate crews, its common to have people create ocs for preexisting pirate crews. During that 2 year time period, I decided to create a original pirate crew called the Nemesis Pirates. I won’t go into big detail, but this pirate crew was and still is my main ocs. Anyone in the OP OC community who know me will only know me by my pirate crew. I received a lot of love for my pirates and my art skills were improving very vastly. I also started writing more, but alot of it was never published work. Around this time, I got into sports animes as well and made a lot of ocs for them.
Right before college, a huge event struck and hit me emotionally bad. Thats when I really got into the rp fandom hard. I created a new op oc and made an exclusively op oc rp blog to cope. People really liked my oc and I got pretty active and kinda popular in rp terms. That stayed like that for about 4-5 months. Then university started and I got my first relationship. There was so many things to balance, I just had not enough time to devote my time to the rp blog so I left. I was so busy, I even had no time to really get into my art or basically the OP OC community and was kinda inactive for 2 years. The only thing that kept me even involved was my discord group.
During 2018, this is where things changed a bit. I got back into OPOC creation and talking to my friends and also that’s when I was introduced to DnD. I think out of my friend group in college, I was the most passionate because DnD is not that different from OC creation and rping so I was like basically prepared. I got back into art but for some reason, my art was incredibly stagnant. It didn’t improve but it felt like I had regressed. It was a pretty low point in my art career.
However, that didn’t stop me from wanting to enter a Webtoon contest. Around June there was a contest to make a webtoon comic and I wanted to enter. I...uh...never even got to publish the first episode. I did en up publishing the first episode around Dec 2019 but thats because I felt like I might as well get something out of my hard work. My art steadily got a tinge better in 2019, my wrtiing also improved slightly. I was a bit more active in the OPOC fandom. I even made an instagram for my art and ocs. Summer 2019 happened, drama was brewed and I was left alone for Fall 2019. I missed my old friends and I missed the times we had together but we all couldn’t go back to those times.
One night, I was going through tumblr and found posts about Dimension 20. Some were about “Are you My Dad” some were about going up a corn monster’s butt. I knew of Dimension 20 because for like a year, ads for it was spamming my videos. It was late night, I was depressed and bored and they had episodes on Youtube. And in 2 days, I finished Fantasy High. In one day, I finished EFTBK and in 3 days I caught up with The Unsleeping City. These were the best days of that year because also during that time, my favorite Youtuber , Markiplier was made a Youtube Red series and a Audio Story podcast. I was drowning in content and I was even talking to my discord friends much more often. I was lonely, a bit depressed, and still hurt from the Summer but I wasn’t fully alone.
Fantasy High went by and strong, I was more active with the OPOC fandom on instagram and Discord, oddly enough. Because of the quarantine, I had more time to make art and I somehow have improved so much. A Crown of Candy was on the horizon and I thought to myself, I know live blogs, I’ve seen people on twitter. why I don’t try it. I’ll just live blog the first episode.
One April 4, right after the last episode of Fantasy High Live, I made d20trashcan. I just made a few memes here and there and people liked them. The first episode came out, I lied blog, made some memes and was gonna call it a day. Yeah, well we can see what happened.
A month later, I’m at single digits away from reaching 400 followers, creating a Webtoon, gained huge art improvement.
TDLR: I’m a huge nerd and people seem to like that

Hi! I'm a new(ish) follower and read through all of Brimstone and Roses, I absolutely love it!!! I was wondering how you managed to get such a large following and get it to be so popular on Webtoon? At the time of its release, did you promote it in a special way or post lots about it beforehand, or do you think it was more due to the appeal of the story or plain luck?
Thanks so much!
Webtoon already has a large reader-base, so I simply posted and just waited to see what happened.
When I first started making BnR, it was for their 2018 Contest, and so there were a LOT of comics being published at the time… but also many people were keeping an eye out on what was then Discover (now called Canvas).
I actually didn’t really use my social media to promote my comic; I of course posted a small preview every time I updated, but it’s difficult to get a following for original content, especially on Tumblr.
The only time I explicitly reached out to my followers on Tumblr for help was when my comic got mass 1-star ratings (unfortunately a common sabotage, apparently, during these contests) and BnR’s rating dropped from 9.8 stars to like. 6.
As I posted, I was very fortunate to be put on their Editor’s Pick, Discover Recommended, and eventually LoL and HOT Today tabs as my comic’s audience grew.
BnR was also made to appeal to the audience that was already at Webtoon; romance and comedy are very popular genres, and on top of that, Lazareth is unique looking and also just hot-boy bait
TL;DR: Webtoon has a massive audience already. Part of it was luck, part of it was appealing to what is known to do well on Webtoon. I also had published BnR for the contest at the time, since the contest made readers hyper-aware of Discover (now called Canvas)

I finished Book 3 for my comic “Yuna and Kawachan” and pretty much all the comic work I want to do for 2018. Since starting this project back in, what March? Technically March but pages didn’t start until about May. And so far I have finished 118 total comic pages for this comic as a whole. That’s crazy to me and I’m so satisfied with the work that’s been done on this comic.
2018 was a stellar year for Yuna & Kawachan. I started writing it when I was feeling really burnt out from animation and freelance life. Just a lot of stressful projects in a row where a lot of elements were out of my hands and I felt rushed and powerless about a lot, which is normal for freelance life but it made me feel really bummed and somewhat loose some confidence in my work. Writing this comic was a way to just create something I had total control over and I never expected it to gain a following on Webtoons. I never even planned on using Webtoons as a platform until I heard they were hosting a contest and honestly I’m very glad I did.
I have one more update this Saturday to finish Book 3 and put it out in the world but to close things out I did a re-design of Kawachan and Yuna in an 80s style. Japanese mascots weren’t what they are today but Kawachan has some features from some older designs I Googled: closer eyes, stubbier bow, wider smile. Yuna has a more shaped bob cut to her hair, and older style uniform, and chunkier sneakers. I wanted the colors to look like a retro 80s Sanrio sticker page. Lot of loud primary colors.
(and since i doubt anyone uses this hell site anymore I can be more sappy with my description cuz less people will probably read it here but hey, thank you anyone who has checked this comic out. <3)

210730 니브(NIve)_namastehallyu Interview
EXCLUSIVE: Looking Through The ‘Broken Kaleidoscope’ of NIve
"It’s a pretty vulnerable expression of me – I almost feel naked letting 'Broken Kaleidoscope' go out to the world, but it’s very precious and personal to me." - NIve
Jisoo Park, also known as NIve, is a Korean-American singer-songwriter, and a renowned producer and composer.
NIve first appeared as Brian Park in the 2014 South Korean television talent show series, Superstar K 6 where he ended up in the Top 9. He was invited to attend the show as a contestant after his cover of John Legend’s All of Me went viral. NIve released his first single Getaway, featuring indie singer-songwriter JMSN, on November 9, 2018 and his official Korean debut song, Like a Fool, featuring Sam Kim, was released on April 2, 2020, which received great response in the domestic market.  He also featured Heize on his track, 2Easy where the fans got to listen to two wonderful singers with exceptional vocals in one song.
NIve introduces himself as a singer, a songwriter, and a producer. He recalls how he chose his stage name and shares, “One day, I was trying to figure out a word or even a sound that represented me, and a sound similar to “Nive” popped up in my head. I looked up a bunch of words that felt similar, but nothing else felt quite right. I discovered that NIve means “being cool without having to say cool,” and I really related to that meaning on a personal level because I don’t think “cool” always has to mean what we think it does. Cool is whatever you want it to be, and I think we’re all the coolest when we’re being ourselves.” NIve as an artist is a singer-songwriter but he also goes by the name Jisoo Park of 153/Joombas when he produces or composes songs. With two different alias, we were curious if there were any differences when it comes to how he work or musicality, NIve shares that at the end of the day, they’re both him but the difference is the approach.
I write my own story as an artist, but I help to write another artist’s story as a songwriter. That completely changes the mindset and the style of music I write for myself versus for another artist. – NIve
As a producer, NIve has worked with many popular K-POP artists like EXO’s Chen, BTS, Jeong Se-Woon, Paul Kim, SF9, NCT U, and Super Junior. As a singer, Nlve is back with his debut EP, ‘Broken Kaleidoscope.’ Ahead of his debut album, NIve had earlier pre-released a single, ‘Escape.’
Befitting of the various hats that he wears, NIve wrote, composed, arranged, and produced the single, ‘Escape’, where he expresses his desire to escape and run away from an unrelenting reality. It is something which he hasn’t done before and hence, it did surprise his fans in a positive way. The pre-release single brings an element of hybrid pop rock song and we get to hear the driving guitars and bass lines which is accompanied by percussive elements and his vocals that bring a sense of uniqueness as well as a fun element to the song.
With ‘Escape’, NIve challenged himself in a way that it was nothing like the tracks that he had put out till date. The talented artist explains how ‘Escape’ was born as he shares,  “I was going through a rough time and felt pretty hopeless for a little bit. Then one day I finally sat down and figured that the only way for me to get over this was to write music that expressed these thoughts in the most honest way possible. ‘Escape’ was one of the songs that expressed my feelings of restlessness and wanting to run away from overwhelming emotions. I didn’t exactly think “I’m going to write a pop-rock” style song, but as I kept writing the song, it just felt right”.
If ‘Escape’ surprised his fans, Nlve is now back with his debut EP ‘Broken Kaleidoscope’ which brings out more versatility.  The album may have released few days back but fans are already familiar with some form of ‘Broken Kaleidoscope’ after all, the artist has shown his fans a peek of his life through his Instagram stories where he has penned down many things to “himself” and it has not only been an escape for him but has also been a source of comfort and strength to his fans. Perhaps that’s why it is not a surprise that his album has been named the way it is, Nlve however adds on,  “The EP consists of five songs and each song takes on a different color, sound, and emotion, which is why I named the album “Broken Kaleidoscope”! It’s a pretty vulnerable expression of me – I almost feel naked letting this album go out to the world, but it’s very precious and personal to me.”
With ‘I’m Alive’, NIve sings, “Through the gray sky, even if the thorns fall, I’m gonna keep myself alive.” This maybe a new genre for him but the sound, the music, the symbolism, the visuals, the analogies in the MV has proved why this is one of his best works and what he meant, when he said that he felt vulnerable putting it out to the world.
NIve had shared in the past that his famous track ‘Who I am’, which is also the first song that he produced, is the projection of his life lessons and struggles.  When talking about it, he added that to be where he is right now, he had to overcome all the self-doubt that had built-up over time, “All the things that made me question who I was as a person – those were the things I had to erase before I could move forward.”
As a Producer, NIve has been credited for co-producing, co-writing, and co-composing for the biggest names in the industry and have come up with tracks which has done well not only domestically but also internationally. He had also participated in the song ‘Blue and Grey’ sung by BTS, EXO Chen’s ‘Beautiful Goodbye’ and also composed ‘My Everything’ sung by NCT U for their album, NCT RESONANCE Pt. 2 – The 2nd Album. Although NIve loves all the songs that he has written with and for other artists, he shares that ‘Beautiful Goodbye’ by EXO’s Chen is one of the songs that he holds very close to his heart and among all the songs that he has released as part of his own discography, the artist says that if he had to recommend one song to someone who is just getting to know him, he would recommend ‘Tired’ as the first song!
NIve has achieved a lot in his journey but when he looks back at where he began, Nlve shares that although he vaguely remembers it, the first song that he ever produced was probably over 14 years ago. He however confesses that he can’t remember what exactly it sounded like, but the one thing he remembers is that he was inspired by an Australian singer named Delta Goodrem at that time.
Apart from creating music for different Korean artists and for himself, NIve has also recently produced a ballad OST, for the webtoon, ‘The Girl Downstairs’. Speaking about the collaboration, Nlve shares that, the other team reached out for a ballad, and they fortunately picked the one he wrote! He also adds that he haven’t really gotten into any web toons outside of the ones that he has written songs for but he would love to recommend a webtoon when he finds one that he really loves and hence, to look out for it.
If numbers are what decides popularity, NIve also has numbers to prove why he is one of the most celebrated artists. After all, when Spotify released their #2020artistwrapped  last year, his songs were streamed in 92 countries and one of the top countries was India. NIve shares his reaction on it as he says, “It was honestly a huge surprise for me. I’m so glad my music was able to resonate with so many people in India. It’s a dream come true for me to receive so much love from people who come from such different places and backgrounds around the world.”
After we heard Nlves thoughts, as cliché as it might sound, we were curious to know if he had watched any Indian Movie or if there is an Indian singer whose work he admires. Nlve stated, “Although I am not too familiar with any Indian movies yet, but I’d love to get recommendations! I love watching films. I actually got to interact with Armaan Malik before. He had covered “Beautiful Goodbye” and posted it on his Instagram one day and my fans who know that I wrote the song ended up tagging me in it. I watched the video and he sang it so well, so I sent him a DM right away.” (After we heard this, we immediately began to channel a future collaboration between the two artist.)
Nlve further shared that the song he is currently listening is, To Let a Good Thing Die by Bruno Major and sent a message to his Indian fans and international fans and ended it with a promise.
“Thank you so much to everyone who has shown me love in India and everywhere else in the world! I’m so grateful for you all. You all motivate me to keep going and stay creative. I promise to always do my best to bring my best art to you. I can’t wait to meet you all in person soon.”
For Nlve, his ideal day is a Saturday and like many of us, the first thing he grabs when he leaves the house is his phone. He seems like any normal person but unlike some of us, NIve is happy with where he is and what he has done, and has no room to wish for things, as he shares that the song that he wishes he produced or sang is his next single.  Although, he shares that the first song that he ever wrote will stay in his archive forever, he has shown some parts of his world through his music and recently, with ‘Broken Kaleidoscope’.
Nlve is not just a singer-songwriter/producer/composer, he is an artist in the truest sense. When we asked him to describe himself in one word, he replied, “Sentimental.” Perhaps that is one of the reason why we get to see his bare expressions and writings and this is why listeners can connect with his song. For Nlve, Music is Life and for his fans, his music definitely helps them get by it.
When we asked NIve what is the first thing that comes to his mind when he hears the word, ‘India’, he replied, “Vast and colorful” and that’s how we see his music as well – ‘Vast with different colors and elements – with a song for every mood.’

Hello everyone~!
Update Time~!
B(Positive): Chapter 1 is up (a bit tardy, but these last two weeks have been horrendous, so it took me much longer than I would have liked to update).
https://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/bpositive/list?title_no=220433
Please check it out if you’re interested!
A Quick Synopsis of What B(Positive) is  about:
There are many, many different types of vampires documented throughout the years; each case unique, but equally stigmatized by fear and distrust. Living with such a condition is no laughing matter, even with the existence of the once mythological disease publicized and heavily regulated. The best that Basil, a newly diagnosed vampire, can do, is face each new night with a positive outlook, even as they seem to grow darker and colder…
When life gives you fangs, grin and bare them.
Thank you all very, very much!!

Jaesuk/Janiel Fanfic Contest
It’s been awhile, so I decided to make another one. I basically just copied and pasted everything from what I published on Wattpad.
Before I tell you the rules, this contest is for writers who have the main ship as Jaesuk/Janiel. If they aren't the main ship, then this, sadly, isn't for you. I can always make another contest for you if you think this is unfair. If they are at least one of the main ships, then that's okay too—just say so in your description.
If you have any questions after reading the rules, I'll gladly answer them.
Like the previous event, it'd be appreciated if you spread the word! You don't have to, though.
Rules:
For Both Readers and Writers: Please do not diss someone else's fanfiction for whatever reason. If the person is dissing you, please ignore them. Though, don't indulge them either.
If the writer decides to add another ship other than Jaesuk, please don't hate on them. Also, writers, please warn your readers if you're going to have any other ship than Jaesuk. There are only a few exceptions:
1. People are misunderstanding and there really isn't a thing going on between them. This has to be a legit misunderstanding.
2. If the writer unintentionally put in the ship, ask them if they are planning on making it a ship; if not, they don't have to warn readers, though please mention a light ship or something along those lines.
There can be other exceptions, just ask me and I'll give you a yes or a no.
Submissions: You can put as many stories as you want for Lookism. This is to make more fanfictions for the fandom, so feel free to add as many stories as you want. You can add up to 1 to 50 if you wanted (I don't think any of you guys would, though).
Unlike the previous contest, you'll have to submit a fanfic that you haven't published yet.
There are some exceptions:
If your fanfic has less than ten votes, feel free to join.
If your fanfic was posted a week before the contest date (but not more than a week ago), feel free to join (even if you have more than ten votes).
If you wrote a fanfic for the previous fanfic, but you never got the chance to join, I'll be nice and let you join.
If you wrote a fanfic and wanted to join the next contest, but it took too long, then it's only fair if I let you join.
Please don't lie just so you can put a fanfic on here with a lot of votes, making you more likely to win (not saying that any of you guys would, though).
Inspiration: This isn't a rule... If you need help with actually writing the fanfiction and/or need someone to inspire you, feel free to ask for inspiration from me! I'll gladly help make you feel like writing the fanfiction. I'll even gladly help you with ideas! That and I just like sharing ideas. If not, you can completely ignore the inspiration paragraph and pretend it doesn't exist.
Eligibility and Restrictions: This contest is open to all countries. To be a part of this, you must be at least 13 years old. I hope you guys don't mind that I will also be joining this contest as well!
Methods of Entry: You can enter the contest by linking it in the comment section and tagging it as #lookismJanielcontest or #lookismJaesukcontest. Copy and paste your story in the comment section and tag it to make it easier to find your story (our fandom is kind of small, so please do both). Please only do one of the two tags. Depending on if you use English or Korean names, use the one you're planning on using in your fanfic. Please comment on this chapter for your submission. If you forget to do something, I will gladly remind you on your fanfiction or PM you!
I need an opinion on some things:
1. If there are any people who want the English and Korean names to be two separate contests, please tell me.
If you want it to be the same contest, please tell me.
If you don't care, please tell me.
2. Do you want this contest to be available on other fanfiction sites? I've heard some people want it to be available for Ao3 (Archive of Our Own), but I'm not sure how I'll do that exactly.
3. If you want it on Ao3, should we make it a separate contest? Ao3 has a different voting style than Wattpad, so it'll be hard to determine how the writers can win. If there are two contests, should we let them enter both contests? Please give me your opinion.
You'll know if you did it right if I add you to my, "Lookism Candidates: Jaesuk/Janiel 1." From Wattpad.
If you did it right, and I didn't add you, please PM me or comment that I didn't add you!
Content: Since this fandom is small (which is weird since this manhwa is amazing), and this contest was made to make more fanfictions, all categories and ratings are acceptable. The stories can be as long as a one-shot to a long multi-chaptered one (it can be as long as you want). You can make it an AU fanfic or as canon to the manhwa as possible. Honestly, I think the readers will appreciate anything you write for Lookism.
If the fanfic reading language is not in English (it's in Spanish or something), you are still welcome to join (this is to make the fanfictions increase, after all).
If you want to write a ship that isn't Jaesuk, please leave a warning. If you decide to make a fanfic where the main ship isn't Jaesuk, this contest is not for you. If it's among the main ships, it's fine. Again, just warn people.
Also, if you're one of those people who posts pictures instead of writing on Wattpad, feel free to do that instead (if you want)! However, there's only one thing you need to remember and do. You need to state the person who made it, whether you were the one who made it or you found it somewhere online. If you don't this, you won't be included in the contest, sorry!
Before I forget, the fanfiction does NOT have to be completed to join. I repeat, the fanfiction does NOT have to be completed. That way it'll be less pressuring, and you'll be able to continue the fanfiction even if the contest is done.
You can choose any version of Lookism you want, whether that's the Webtoon (English names) or the one with their original names.
You can have OCs in your story too! Please state that you have an OC in your story, though.
Deadline: The contest will start at December 4, 2017, but you can submit your fanfictions in at any time (after this day until the due date).
The contest will end on January 5, 2018 at 6:00 PM (Mountain Daylight Time). If the contest isn't getting at least 10 submissions, the contest will end on a later date. If it seems like a close tie between two fanfictions, both of them will get the prize. This will be the end date unless I happen to change my mind or some of the readers/writers want more time.
If I happen to change the end date or time, I will post another chapter stating the new end date/time. If not, I will post a chapter to state the winner.
Prizes: Since I didn't plan a prize yet, feel free to volunteer as the prize giver!
Judging: The judges will be the readers. Whoever can get the most votes on their fanfiction will win! If you're doing this on Ao3 (if we end up accepting that), we'll have to think of a way to see how the winning process works.
Good luck, and I hope you can make this fandom feel happy with all the fanfictions (for Lookism) you write!!
