just played uty with my siblings and homies again. Cried during guardener, my brother couldn’t do the kronk/ceroba voice since his throat was sore, and there were multiple comparisons made between Helpy (fnaf), Chris McLean, and the Steamworks productivity bot. Hello employees and hello campers has the same energy and is now how we ask if we wanna play uty. Best day of my life. The Steamworks is truly the best area.

Dekohda, Toa of Sonics

Dekohda has the unofficial - and unenviable - role of being Whatiu’s minder, being able to track her approach over incredible distances. With the Toa of Stone rampaging through the wilderness, it’s dangerous for others to get too near her, so Dekohda ranges around her, keeping innocents away and occasionally attempting to calm Whatiu. His Resonance Chime consists of two parts - a forked resonator baton, and a chiming weight. As the baton rings, the chime pulses with energy in resonance, getting stronger if the two are connected. Meanwhile, his Kanohi Weha, the Mask of Division, allows him to temporarily duplicate himself several times, being a one-man harmony team with his innate Sonic powers, whether it be a soothing lullaby or a screaming blast.

Once again, I have taken some liberties with official colours. Officially, Sonics is associated with grey and black, but as that’s the same as Earth (and Magnetism based on Toa Jovan, see my post on my Toa Falaki), I tend to use lots of the older, browner Dark Grey alongside the modern standard Dark Bluish Grey, as well as Dark Tan and Bright Green as a spot colour. I had the idea of a kusarigama-like weapon, albeit the actual use of a kusarigama rather than the fictionalised version - in fiction they tend to throw the kama or sickle end like a hook, but in reality the fundo or weighted end was thrown to bind the opponent before you swept in for the kill. His power is similar to Flynt Coal from RWBY, who is also a sound-based fighter who splits into multiple copies to increase his power through harmony. It’s a common sound thing, I think.

Saba Anglana è una cantautrice italo etiope nata in Somalia e già nota con il suo primo lavoro ´Jidka, the Line´, al quale occorre aggiungere le collaborazioni con artisti quali Miriam Makeba, Cesaria Evoria e Vinicio Capossela e per l’interesse e la difesa di tematiche ambientali globali. Il lavoro in questione si inserisce in questa attitudine dato che ´Biyo´ significa acqua nella lingua nativa di Saba. In effetti l’acqua vista come risorsa preziosa, carente e quindi a tratti sacra, costituisce il filo conduttore di questo lavoro a cavallo tra pop, cantautorato e musica etnica. La radice di quasi tutte le composizioni è la fusione di elementi etnici nei testi e nella strumentazione, dove kora, krar (specie di certa etiope), washint (flauto africano) , masinko (violino rudimentale) e congas aggiungono timbri caratteristici ad una base sostanzialmente pop. I testi sono semplici ma efficaci, sobri ma non pessimisti, con anche punte di orgoglio di quelle radici che Saba, cresciuta in Italia, ha saputo approfondire tramite studi e l’assistenza della madre. ´Biyo´ è di per sé esemplificativa di tutto il disco anche se ´Yet Nou´ è forse più toccante nel suo dub finale con le voci dei bimbi; ´Solomon´ è un momento particolare perché non parla dell’acqua ma sembra più evocare situazioni di leggendaria sensualità esotica in stile Regina di Saba; ´Crowded Desert´ e ´My father was a soldier´ sono pezzi più occidentali, forse per via dell’uso dell’inglese nei testi, ´Djibouti Road´ è per contro il momento a maggiore intensità etnica.

House of stars is terrible xD.

After 5 episodes I barely managed to know who is who and what are their names. The subtitles are hilarious because of the name changes that keeps happening.

I'm not sure there is a real storyline. At that point the only story I've found is : who is going to end up with who. There are at least 3 couples: Gun/Kan with Pitch/Pizza/Pete, Korn with Pawin or/and Mintra (for like 5 seconds I thought they would end up in a ménage... But no. Too bad, I would have loved the idea) and finally we have Wayu with Weha. Zo the costar/partner of Pitch/Pizza/Pete seems to also have feelings for him, but unfortunately Pitch/Pizza/Pete is clueless. I'm waiting to see something happening between Gun/Kan with Pitch/Pizza/Pete because we got nothing on the last episode. At least we got the drama with Korn, Pawin and Mintra. I know Pawin is not exactly a good guy but he is perfect as a character to bring some drama which is the only fun thing at the moment in the series with the bad subtitles.

We also have the psycho stalker storyline with the new actress in the house who seems to have a thing for Pitch/Pizza/Pete, but it seems from the preview in ep5 that it will reach its conclusion next week.

We still don't know why miss Suzie seems to be permanently stuck in a frown and stalking her stars to be sure they follow the rules.

Also who is the guy in the wheelchair ?

What is the name of the guy with glasses who is the manager of Gun/Kan? I wish someone would make a nice character chart with all the names and pictures of the actresses/actors. It would be so helpful.

Anyway House of stars keeps being a guilty pleasure of mine and since there isn't that much to watch on Monday, I will keep watching it.
