I drew Ted from the wonderful @nabwastaken ‘s Time Bastard Au! The original design is by the talented @midnightnautilus , and was so very fun to draw!

with a repost of nightmare's ref cuz I posted it with the last nightmare batch like a dummy

'being the multiverse's self proclaimed protector, ink gave himself the job of keeping the aus from harm. Not even he knows what such job entails as aus, by their very nature, are untouchable by characters and can only be truly affected by their creators.

Ink being also nihilist at heart, does not bother to stop characters from changing script either, as no matter what path they might diverge the story from, they will always get the same ending, which is all that matters to ink.'

'a kindhearted monster with extreme tactics and black and white views, dream takes the job not of guardian but of judge. Dream completely misunderstood the purpose his mother gave him of 'creating a better world', so he took it upon himself to judge people and 'get rid of them' if he deems them a danger to others or getting in the way of his perfect utopia.

despite what might seem like cold-heartedness sometimes, dream truly has the best intentions in mind and is simply misguided.'

'greedy, sneaky, untrustworthy and scummy. nightmare is the embodiment of a snake oil salesman. First getting into the marchant business to gain money to renovate his crumbling castle, nightmare found more fun in scamming people than terrorizing them, and he slowly strayed away from his objective of becoming king and started investing more time in his selling.

Despite calling himself hatred incarnate, nightmare's hatred slowly ran out over the years and now focuses on living his life however he pleases rather than taking revenge.'

#Ahhhhh I luv text...#was gonna make the text dump describe their actual personalities but I figured describing their jobs already gives us a lot of info #especially on how I want to take the concept of au creation and destruction (btw there is no 'balance' theme-#-neither in ink's story nor the brother's story). Since utmv is so connected to the 'real world' I always found it odd how characters-#-can do whatever they want with what we create. either by destroying them or completely changing the story.#Like why is there a script to begin with if the characters can just not follow it anyway.#and what does it mean when an au is destroyed by a character? do they like. delete files from out computers or something?#And I also wanted to explore the very messed up power dynamic between the creators and characters #as the creators can basically do anything while the character can neither create nor destroy #man that's a lot. oops #giant block of text #ink sans #dream sans #nightmare sans #utmv #sans au #art #myart

I had a dream a few nights ago where I was investigating missing persons cases and uncovered a transhumanist cult headed by some douchecanoe I've unaffectionately named Elon Husk who wanted to evolve humankind past their lame meat mechs and transition them to synthetic bodies

Issue was, they found out that they couldn't transfer consciousnesses into AI. Next best thing was to use a brain. But in order for the mechs to work properly, they needed more than just the brain intact. The entire spinal cord needed to also be present

So they obviously needed a specialist to accomplish such a thing. Main issue there was that said specialist they hired originally as a consultant wasn't actually interested in going back to mutilate people so he had to be "convinced" to help them (which I’m assuming this was taking place post-PN2)

My main goal was to save a kid who was captured by this awful transhumanist group; I ended up failing my mission because Husk unveiled that the kid had been scraped and packed down into a robot body to a whole TV audience and there was nothing I could do about it. I tried to find an exit, immediately found the operating suite, and then got caught by an extremely irate and aggressive Loboto who blindsided me and pinned me to his operating table with a threat to lobotomize me if I didn’t comply

Instead of sticking around to get my brain shoved into a metal body, I shook myself awake

But I was really struck by Loboto's extra terrifying appearance and his super messed up new chrome claw hand and it's been haunting me ever since tl;dr I had a spooky dream about a cult who thought human bodies were lame and also Loboto was there
