The rare moments of weakness are with coprotaganist Yumiko Shirasagi, who shares a much closer bond with her former incarnation Izanami. It seems like even if Akemi is the reincarnation of Izanagi, he doesn't share a bond quite as strong. They can actually hear the goddess and see her just like Yumiko does. Most of Akemi's good actions in the book are done for Her sake, referring to Yumiko bc they doesn't want her to suffer the same mistakes. In fact, when they lets themself be vulnerable, they doesn't seem to be emotionally there for himself, and scared of who they project to the world. A very common thing for closeted transwomen. As for the saving her part. Well. The stake of the very world hangs in the balance thanks to Akmei's retribution based on emotions that he really didn't like, and the world got annihilated. Many, Many, MANY TIMES. Not to mention creating another more wretched universe to cope with that. Perhaps, just perhaps, the world might not be a smoldering crater inhabited by demons. Perhaps Yumiko does Akemi in complementary feminine makeup, or puts Akemi in one of the many 'female only' helmets of the game. Perhaps Akemi would just finally lean into becoming a goth girl, rather than figure out the bonkers mechanics of computer aided demon summoning to get revenge on physical bullying.

Let's go with something potential for ReUnited this time.

So, I loooove the idea of a show's image songs existing in-universe within a show. not necessarily the same way they exist in real life, usually, because a lot of the time they're sung by the characters. Still, having them in-universe is just... fun!

Thus, given how Kamen Rider has a history of really cool image songs - a history I sorely wish would resume by the way >:( - I have this one idea where a bunch of Rider Couples just. Go out and have a group karaoke night.

No, this wasn't conceived of in-universe as a way for them to flirt with each other via song, why would anyone suggest that?

Among the scenes would be 'a very Heated performance of Time Judged All from Eiji and Ankh', 'Ryu and Akiko INSIST that Shotaro and Philip reprise Finger on the Trigger for the others to hear', and...

Until Kamen Rider stops having female riders as late game jobbers, the series shouldn’t be praised for it’s female representation at all. There has not been an actual good example of a female rider in Kamen Rider, and they always, and I mean ALWAYS get the thunder taken from them. If they don’t die to further some other male character’s arc that is. 

Basically, I don’t want to hear Poppy or Nico get put on a pedestal when they got just as fucked over as any other female riders. They deserved better. Way better. 

And if Tsukuyomi really does transform later on, I fucking bet she’ll deserve better too.

I actually expect the right eye because her bangs cover it a lot, and they did the exact same bangs-covering-eye thing to visually foreshadow Cinder losing her left eye long before it actually happened.
