#qsmp #thinking abt a pet sematary style au #where Wilbur is Louis and Tallulah is Gage (or I guess more like Ellie in the 2019 remake)#Philza is basically Jud with a mix of a few other characters and Chaynne is the book version of Ellie (requisite psychic child)#and the plot is Wilbur decides to move to Quesadilla Island with Tallulah to settle down + try to be closer to his estranged dad #when Phil is telling him abt the island he mentions the strange graveyard and a legend abt a demon named Cucurucho #and wil is just like ‘uh huh sure ok’ until Tallulah’s beloved pet turtle Augustín dies #wil reasons that he could pick up literally any turtle and nobody would know the difference #but he feels strangely drawn to see if the graveyard can really bring back the dead #and it works! sure the turtle smells kinda weird and keeps biting people but it’s fine!#and then wil learns why it’s a fucking terrible idea to leave a young child unsupervised on a three story high balcony actually #Phil warns him that sometimes dead is better but he just can’t handle it so it’s ~grave robbing time!~#and the resurrection seems to work at first since Tallulah is living and breathing again #but she’s not the same sweet little petal that went into that grave…#*gripping you by the shoulders* do you see my vision #idk pet sematary is one of my favorite novels I gotta read it again

Constantly torn between writing a character to be just a nice guy and writing that character to be the most fucked up creature in existence

#the klock keeps ticking #like theres a line at some point where you cant make this all one guy but you just. really want to #like yeah lets say we got some fucked up guy who tries really hard to be nice and sweet despite the horrors #but you know what if i want him to get kinda bitchy too cuz how can i expect him not to be? hes been through some shit and hes only human #but how bitchy can i make him before he just kinda becomes an asshole #i guess though people are pretty complicated so sometimes its just kinda like that #i must once again hail rebecca gales as the character ever like girl shes sooooo #shes so genuinely sweet and caring and attentive and shes so bitter selfish and jealous #shes gotta make like the biggest effort to be nice and simultaneously the biggest effort to be mean #its just so refreshing to see idk someone who is generally a good person but shes really fucked up about it #like this doesnt come easy to her! everything in her wants to act like a petty child!#and she does! shes really fucking immature and she thinks shes above it all when shes the worst out of everyone!#and thats just such a nice thing to see just a very human character #and shes just like me for real aaaaaa god like guys this freaking character has helped me cope so bad #like shes not a monster shes just. a person having a bad day and not coping very good #yeah this post wasnt even about her but I made it about her now ive just been thinking about rebecca a lot lately OKAY #we cant all be perfect sometimes we just gotta be rebecca at least im brave enough to admit it #anyways i have pretty similar tangents about ryuki shin marianne shinjiro and junpei

maybe this is just me but to me grumpy dickhead characters that are intended to be endearing only really land if they have one character that actually grounds them whether that be through them being very nice to balance it out with cute banter or them also being snarky so they can have fun banter. if a grumpy character is just an asshole to characters we dont know as well, are literally children or people who otherwise cant fight back, then like. they dont vibe with me

#thinking abt the os anime again and like yeah it had moments i didnt like where it went too far #basically any scene where misty got physical with ash #but overall the original trios bond was fun bc they could all clearly take the banter and still cared abt each other #and had plenty of genuine moments as well #and then you have jayfeather who like. tbf did have some characters to bounce off of well like his siblings and briarlight #and thats fine #but then he lost most of them and now hes a dick towards literal children all the time #and thatd be fine except we're still meant to see him as endearing bc of this bc in the same arc a child nearly dies bc of this #the protag is like ''awwwwwwww jay is like so sweet and nice tho i love him hes grumpy but i am so fond of him hes so cool''#im trying to keep all this in mind w my own grumpy characters too tho #or assholes in general like i gotta show it more but marlow is fine when it comes to sakura bc he also banters with him #and it doesnt really get under his skin except for when they mock him for never leaving town #which is part of his arc more than just ''ha ha sakura is mean isnt that funny and quirky''#and like. yeah im kinda just like ''ha ha sakura is mean isnt that funny and quirky'' but like he is vaguely antagonistic so #im kinda trying to go for a harley or raquelle vibe with him where hes not a villain per say but hes petty #and will play an antagonistic role to serve the plot if needed to the other characters #but then hes also not like that to everyone bc he does have a bit more depth than that. typical ''putting up walls'' but not really #bc he genuinely thinks hes all that theyre just also REALLY lonely and cant communicate with people #and is kinda traumatized and stressed from his brother being taken as a baby and being sick while grieving #and is also still sick actually! just gotten really good at hiding it and denies it which. just puts more stress on him #echoed voice

#let’s go home #let’s go HOME…#okay this is where I don’t understand peoples complete disregard for mitsukou #because the entire reason Mitsuba wished for this arc #is because he watched how much his past self wanted kou #how happy he was when he got kou for those few precious hours #and then how kind and sweet kou was to him #Mitsuba’s whole Thing is feeling like he doesn’t belong anywhere #when he was human he felt like he didn’t fit in with boys or girls #as a supernatural his soul doesn’t fit in with humans or supernaturals #so when offered to make a wish where he can live in his dreamworld #he decided KOU?#not just live as a human #not just live as a student #but to live besides kou and be in his life #and the poor boy thought he had to dress up like his old life and act for Kou’s love #so for kou to say no I want YOU #and I want you to come HOME #AHHH #and HOME specifically… you gotta remember that shortly before this arc Teru told Mitsuba that the only #place he belonged was dead #so for kou to say that your home is with ME in the real world ugHHHH #so emotional

Okay but the funniest option for N to make a cameo in a mainline non Unova game would be to have both him AND Hilbert in the same game as NPCs, and make it a side quest where you are trying to get then both to the same area but they just keep barely missing each other and never actually manage to meet in the game

Just this wild goosechase of the protag trying their damndest to get these two siblings to get a chance to reconnect and literally everything in the universe stopping it. Extra bonus points if they never actually get to reunite and maybe have some funny dialog in a Masters event or something

#trainer hilbert #n harmonia #for extra silly throw in cheren and or bianca and you gotta guide them to Hilbert #so the goosechase gets even more chaotic #n just kinda vibing. Hilbert trying to find him while his friends try to convince him to move on #by the end i imagine Hilbert gets a healther mindset and hed finally get a resolution with his return #and would make the Masters event where they reuinite by chance even more sweet

We gotta do something about the way dog owners behave. No other pet owner is just bringin the pet wherever the fuck they go all the time but for some reason with dog owners they think its fine if they bring their dog to the gym and taco bell and whatever. And you invite a dog owner to your house where youve got your own pets youve got your dog and your cats and whatever it is you have and this dog owner shows up at your door like "oh i brought my dog i hope thats okay hes so sweet youll love him" and it is always the most untrained poorly behaved agressive animal that has ever lived.
