Valentine's Day Ship HC, part 4, VBS ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝

Reminder: Kohane is a lesbian, An is asexual/acespec, Akito is bisexual, and Toya is gay.

As I mentioned in my VS post, Toya was outed to his family. He's not sure who did it or why, but it happened, and it got him kicked out.

Toya's father is in full belief that Toya turned gay due to the Tenmas and Akito, outright saying he should have known better than to let Toya get so close to a boy who liked dressing like a girl, a girl who was so desperate for attention she basically whored herself off to her friends, and a boy who seemed to be too comfortable putting himself all over Toya (getting him a well deserved punch or two).

While Toya escapes to the Street SEKAI after getting what he was able to pack, including the torn up pieces of his adoption paper given to him by Tsukasa and Saki when they were kids, Akito goes to the Tenma residence for advice.

Akito and Toya had been on a date when Toya's dad sent them both a message telling them he knows. Toya ended up leaving first, and Akito, unsure what to do, decided to go to the one person he knew cared about Toya. He was relieved when Toya showed up later that night, both of them spending the night in the Tenma's guest room.

After hearing what happened, both An and Kohane offered Toya and Akito a place to stay. (Akito: Why me? An: Your dad is probably just as bad as Toya's. Akito: ....shit. Okay, fair.)

An and Kohane tell their dads everything that went on. That's why they're both able to provide a place for either of their two fellow VBS members.

Toya begins turning everything in as "Toya Tenma." When confronted about it, he hesitates before admitting he was kicked out due to his sexuality and how he had been taken in by the Tenma family.

Akito, An, Kohane, as well as Tsukasa and Saki, are there to comfort him when his father finally gets his just desserts (I'm not saying wheter or not he got arrested, I'm leaving that up for debate 👀)

They stand by him as his father loses any and all rights to him and when he is legally adopted into the Tenma family.

Toya makes sure to return the favor when Akito and his sister go to court against their own father. While Akito ends up living with An and her dad, his sister moves in with their partner, Mizuki Akiyama.

An and Akito grow closer due to Ken adopting him (tho Akito chooses to keep his last name as Shinonome). They still have a rivalry, but it's more playful now.

Double dates double dates double dates-

Kohane likes leaving An little gifts at Weekend Garage. Once in a while they're things she buys, but for the most part, they're crafts she's made during Tsukasa's mandatory Arts and Crafts day between the Unit Leaders.

An adores the little gifts her girlfriend makes. When she finds out most them come from a mandatory Arts and Crafts day held by Tsukasa Tenma (An: Why is it mandatory? Kohane: I don't know, but Tsukasa onii-chan always plans them out with our interest in mind. It's fun and I'm having a good time with him and the others :) An, thinking:....cute....) she goes to him so he can help her plan an artsy date with Kohane.

Much like how Haruka gushes to her about Minori, An will gush to Haruka about Kohane.

They do have to make sure they aren't doing something active, last time An gushed about her girlfriend while they were playing basketball 1v1, she got hit on the head with the actual ball because she wasn't paying attention. :/

Toya and Kohane will sometimes go on friendship dates. Yes, it has led to some people thinking they're a couple.

An and Akito also used to get the "you're such a cute couple" shtick. It stopped when people began to hear Akito refer to Ken as his dad.

It also helped that An is almost always cozying up to her girlfriend and Akito has often been spotted with his boyfriend going into a private booth at Weekend Garage (by private, I mean there's a curtain blocking anyone's view, alongside a father who gives a damn about kids privacy, his own or not).

Kohane likes to take photos of An at random times. While she does enjoy when her girlfriend poses for her, she also enjoys capturing more in the moment photos.

An loves running her hands through Kohane's hair.

Akito and Toya know they don't have to hide their relationship anymore, what with the whole thing with them being taken in by different families and all that jazz, they still rather it just be them. They don't want to hear how brave they were, or how sorry their fellow classmates felt, they just want to have some peace. Thank you very much. :/

Ken and Tsukasa are the boys saving graces. Ken will offer them some privacy whenever they're at Weekend Garage (hence the curtained booth), and Tsukasa will often redirect people away from his little brother and his future brother-in-law.

Akito was 100% expecting some sort of shovel talk from one of Tenmas. He's invited to family game night instead (Akito: who the fuck is she? Kanade: ._. hello. Saki: She's our older sister!! Akito:.... Toya: You get used to it. Sometimes more people join in. :) Akito:....there are more??? Kohane: *shows up* Akito:.....since when-).

Kohane's dad and Ken will often exchange stories about their daughters. They're both proud of them and are happy to see them find joy in each other <3

Ever since adopting Akito into the Shiraishi family, Ken has made it even more known that Weekend Garage was a safe space for those in the LGBT community. If anyone ever needed a supportive dad, he was there for them.

002 | Send me a ship and I will tell you:

When I started shipping them: I don‘t know the exact date nor year, since I guess my preference for the OT3 ship developt over time. My first fanart of them being romantic partners was made in 2019, so I guess that‘s the year my heart was finally struck by them.

My thoughts: As much as I dig NorEmma, RayEmma or NorRay, only NorRayEmma feels truly perfect and in-canon for me, to say so. Over the course of the manga, it was shown so many times how these three truly belong to each other and which effects it had on two of them when one was missing – not to forget to mention the one who would be alone and with their best friend. So, I don't really want to see them seperated, and imagine them in other relationships is fine, but not my ultimate choice. If it‘s not🤍🧡🖤, I‘m not going, period.

What makes me happy about them: Their interactions. Their discussions. The huge amount of intelligence that is radiating from them whenever they are together. The fondness of their eyes when they see the other two happy and well. Their determination to do everything for their best friends sake, even if it means to give up themselves to guarantee there‘s a future for those they love. The possible tension between them. The concept of them being parts of the whole, only truly perfect when the other two parts are with them. The idea of an one year old child meeting two other babies and instantly deciding to stick with them, forever, from crib to coffin and maybe even beyond. Just, everything.

Should I continue or was that enough for now?

What makes me sad about them: The hardenships they had to face throughout their young lives and how it probably affected them even in their adulthood. For example, Norman‘s declining health due to the experiments in Lambda, that surely never truly go away, even with good medication. Ray‘s mental state is completly in ruins and I fear not all amount of therapy in the human world will ever make him feel not guilty for the things he decided to do for Emma and Norman‘s sake. Not to forget best girl Emma, who can‘t even remember the childhood she spent with her best friends due to the new promise. After all, new memories are wonderful and I‘m glad she found her way back to them. But still, there will always linger a bit of sadness in her, feelings of loss and regret, that will also affect Norman and Ray.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Ray being constantly annoyed with Emma and Norman; listen, he‘s sarcastic and sometimes looses his temper, but overall, Ray always takes time to explain things that annoy him, without too much scolding. In some stories, I get the feeling he doesn‘t even like Emma and Norman, the way he acts, or he drank too much edgy juice™ this morning. Also Norman being all bashful around Emma. He‘s certainly not a casanova, but I like to imagine he cooled down over his crush for her and is just as happy as Emma herself to experience new feelings alongside her. That being said, I don‘t really see Emma being either too shy around either of them or drifting into turbo mode when she‘s in the mood. I like her as a complex, more differentiated character and not a child in a teenager's or adult body. She‘s not dumb and she‘s not over the top 24/7.

Things I look for in fanfic: The Trio having a frickin‘ good time, chilling and talking and doing silly stuff together, but also basic stuff like cooking or going on with their lives in the human world. I prefer fanfictions in which they are already young adults, maybe even with jobs, but school or university is fine, too. If the story is spiced up with some drama, whichever kind, I‘m happier than you could imagine.

My wishlist: Wheter it be Emma, Norman or Ray, they all should get a good therapist. Like, a really good one. They deserve it. Norman‘s health becoming better after countless treatments, and not to forget, Ray finding joy again in reading and learning (I bet he would love most fantasy books in the human world, and since the activity would not be affliciated with his survival, I bet he could „waste“ countless hours on this). For Emma, I wished her memories could come back, but I fear they are gone for good :(

And my personaly headcanon – them starting a big family on their own, giving back all the love that they experienced throughout their lives, and see a new generation of „cattle‘s children“ living free and without the horrors of their anchestors.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: If the Trio‘s not possible, I would also accept either NorEmma, NorRay or RayEmma, hehe. These ships are almost as good. For Norman, I can‘t really think of another partner, sorry. If they both are older, I could totally see Emma with Oliver (as long as he even like girls), and for Ray, I‘ve got another favourite ship I just like as much as the common NER ones: Ray and Ayshe. Shirai and Demizu probably doesn‘t know what they did to me with that one side comic them discussing their parental figures. They also share the same „my face is too cool to show it fully“-act going on and the thought of Ray and Ayshe making Norman nervous, whenever he interacts with the two of them, is pure comedy gold to me.

My happily ever after for them: They live married in a big house near the countryside, have awesome jobs they love to go to and of course a bunch of children of their own or even adopted, to make their new life just as loud and chaotic and wonderful as life in Grace Field House was for them. Well, at least before everything went downhill real quick.

OliZack

When I started shipping them: Only around a year ago, to be honest. I saw several really adorable pictures with them and yeah, where captivated by childhood friends to lovers. Also their colour combination is just superb.

My thoughts: Why wasn't there more of them in the manga? What impact had the several journeys with Emma and co. on Oliver and Zack‘s relationship? They were always together since they were ten; suddenly, they were apart for months, not knowing what was going on with the other and if they would be safe or see each other again. That‘s the stuff that keeps me awake at night.

What makes me happy about them: They stayed alive throughout Goldy Pond and everything that followed after. It would have been so easy for them to die, for every reason, but no, we shippers were lucky and managed to see them going to the human world. And as I said before, their colour pallets are just wonderful – one pale and white haired in red, the other one darker pigmented in blue. Name a more iconic duo ❤️💙.

What makes me sad about them: Not really seeing much of their friendship in the manga. Did they even talk to each other once? Oliver and Zack defintly deserved more attention and content, even as side characters.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: I… I have never read any OliverxZack fanfictions to this day, I guess. I could be wrong, though, but it‘s a rare sight. That‘s my complain – there‘s not enough of them.

Things I look for in fanfic: Their past in Goldy Pond, like them being children in a child-unfriendly environment and growing up to the persons they are today. Stuff about the two in the human world and their future would be cute as sugar, too.

My wishlist: To see and read and hear more about them . Asap!

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: You know what? Whe talked about my OT3 before, why not doubling the joy? How about Oliver, Zack and Paula ending as more as just friends? As mentioned before, Oliver and Emma could surely form a great team (again), and Zack with someone else… maybe some other GP residents? I have never thought about it, to be honest, but ifI should change my mind sooner or later, I will add it!

My happily ever after for them: They live together in the human world in a nice appartment; Oliver‘s a social worker for kids on the streets and Zack became a paramedic. Maybe they got some pets, maybe adopted kids, possibly ones Oliver knew due to his work. They managed to get over the loss of their father figure and friends and become old and grey and live happily ever after.

Don

How I feel about this character: Oh, sweet summer child (literally, since he was born in July). Don got such a big heart and a lot of passion; in contrast to Norman and Ray, who are mostly cool and calm characters, he‘s a nice change. I just love it when male characters can show their feelings more open, even if it‘s anger or grief. Don‘s development from „guy who is a bit confused but got the right spirit“ to someone who activly became part of the riskiest operations, baffled me as much as delighted me. Not to mention his glow up. Thank you, Demizu!

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: Hmm, none, really! My headcanon is that he got a hard time in the human world wooing the ladies who have no interest in him (stupid, stupid decision, but it can‘t be helped). Maybe he finds his significant other one day, maybe he learns he‘s happy the way he is. Dunno.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Gilda and Don! Add Ayshe to the mix and I would read a whole series about their adventures. I also like to imagine Violet teaching him a lot of stuff to survive in the demon world on their journeys to Cuvitidala or the Seven Walls, including veeery creative swear words.

My unpopular opinion about this character: He‘s not as dumb as fandom sometimes depicts him. After all, he already knows where southeast is. No, seriously, Don has to be incredible smart, way smarter than he is usually depicted. He survived in Grace Field, of all farms, easily up until his tenth year of live and even beyond. As much as I like goofball-Don, we should never shove his intelligence aside and underestimate the boy.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Him punching Norman again. I mean, he deserved it as much as Ray did, possibly in the days after queen Legravalima was killed and they had to rush back to Grace Field. After all Norman was a huge dick to Don and Gilda, lied straight into their faces (again), used poor Hayato and the other Lambda guys as his own personal weapons and made Ayshe suffer (which Don befriended immiatly, as it seemed). Enough for a clap, I think. Additionally, I‘d love to see him grieving more about Conny‘s death. Sure, we had the bonus comics in which it was finally revealed how much he regretted not being to save his little sister, but… How did her death affected Don afterwards? Did he had a trauma through this sudden turn of certainity he had all his life? That‘s the stuff I truly wanted to see.

Favorite friendship for this character: Gilda and Ayshe, but I basically love to see him interactin with everyone. Don radiates a warm, friendly aura, that surely everyone is drawn too.

My crossover ship: I gonna be real with you: I have no crossover ships, that‘s why I won‘t fill this for the following characters. I never really could draw a line between The Promised Neverland and any other series, yet alone including any ships. Sorry!

Gilda

How I feel about this character: She is beauty she is grace, she will blow up the shelter if you don‘t bring back at least one of her siblings back an alive from Goldy Pond. Gilda‘s a powerhouse and way too good for all the stuff she had to went through. I wish I could love her as much as she would deserve it, but TPN got so many characters that gave me brain rot, she kinda falls behind.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: Emma and Gilda as romantic shipping is nice, but I prefer their sisterly friendship. Besides that, I can‘t really think of another ship for her (Don‘s her bro and nothing more).

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: As stated before, her and Don‘s friendship. These two didn‘t shared any similarities at first glance, besides being the only ten year olds in the orphanage, but always sticked together. Their interactions during the whole story were adorable and a nice change from the Full Score Trio ones, since the two were sometimes left in the dark about certain topics and had to find out ugly truths on their own. That surely did strengthen their bond.

My unpopular opinion about this character: She did forgive Norman too easily after he lied about finding Mujika and Sonju „to protect them“. I‘ve got the feeling deep down, Gilda won‘t forgive someone as fast as maybe Don, and making snippy side comments to Norman about his wrong doings would have been hilarious. She managed to frighten Emma and Yuugo after them being reckless again, she could surely could have done this with Norman too.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Overall, just depicting more of Gilda, like showing her settling in in the human world or wearing a bunch of adorable outfits (the bonus chapter with Gilda, Anna and Emma was not enough!!).

Favorite friendship for this character: Don, because of all we‘ve seen throughout the manga, and Ayshe, for all the possibilities they could have.

Matilda

How I feel about this character: A Mother‘s Determination was really a wild ride. In around 40 pages I went from „uggh get her away from me“ to „I strongly want to protect her (as well as the other sisters)“. Matilda‘s backstory and character development was touching and I enjoyed learning more about the life in Grace Field. She left a greater impact on me than a side character probably should, but here we are, loving Matilda hours 24/7, again.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: Again, I can‘t say any. I know I‘m a terrible person for never providing any shipping ideas here, but at this point, I can‘t really see her with anybody.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: The „friendsip“ with Sienna, Jessica and Scarlet as well as her relationship with Isabella. I don‘t know if you can call this friendship, depending on their social status in the headquarters, but I like to imagine they grew fond of each other over time.

My unpopular opinion about this character: That‘s probably not unpopular at all, but I headcanon that she‘s Norman‘s biological mother. Due to her ID and the resulting age, I had a hard time bringing Matilda‘s age in correlation with Norman‘s, but for me, I imagined she had the child when she was barely eightteen years old, so it adds up. For me, at least.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Oh, what would I give to witness more of her shenangians under Grandma Sarah and Isabella! The two years until the escapees came back were surely a very interesting time.

Favorite friendship for this character: Probably no real friendship, but I bet she went regulary to Isabella and wanted to hear stories about her child, their development and what kind of person they are. Matilda was the first one crying over her child being alive (and well?), and I‘ve got the feeling she still cared way more about them as she would probably admit.

Five things that make me happy? For sure my friends and my brother. This period for me has been hard for various reasons, they've been close to me and cheered me up when I needed it. My biggest fear is to remain alone and they made me realize that I'm not going to be as long as I'm having them around.

Another thing is drawing, I constantly am in need of doodling the most random things, wheter they turn out to be masterpieces or little shits, the process calms me down when angry and make me happy when sad.

The same happens with music, I'm listening to it all the time - literally. When I feel blue I put on the right playlist and it conforts me just like an hug could do, and boosts my good mood when I'm in it.

Now it seems silly, but Byler makes me happy too, right as Jotakak did a while ago and how other gay ships did some time ago. They instill hope and joy in me, since I never came out to my family. I feel a little oppressed at home and they remind me that loving who you want is perfectly fine, especially Will.

I'd choose as my fifth happy thing my favourite old memories. Friends I've loved and lost, jokes I've made and heard, feelings I'm not able to describe with words. They've passed now, it's not present anymore, but memories is all we have left and is all we have to cherish.

the tragic narsas relationship

When we said Naruto's manga is a love history, people think to there are fairies or what the fuck? If you're an observant, you'll see when someone tries to criticise the ship witouth success, is because they understand already to there are not incest, is not a brotherly thing, gay people can do whatever they want, narsas relationship is not toxic btw, these people go to "I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THERE ARE NOT ROMANTIC CONNOTATION", well, there is where we said: sorry my comrade witouth reading comprehension, I should have tell you this history is tragic as fuck.

If there are one unique reason for Naruto and Sasuke's relationship don't end like an open ending or together as well, that reason is obvious. And that same reason, is the one that prevents to yet in ninja world some relationship of gay type don't be accepted (this is directly influenced by the real world). And I'm not gonna saying the author planned this since the very beggining, because we don't know if he had a fucking idea about how this have to end. However, I have to say there was an scenario for naruto and sasuke, for work together and make a real change.

I'm gonna use their spell above them and yes, this is a shonen, but more than is not a normal shonen, it is per se. It's a world full of shit, conflict, and death at all places. It's a world where love does not get on our view in the shape of a marriage, or kiss in front of moon, like all people expected at any moment.

We saw two kids, who suffered and they feel connected because they was possessed by two chakras of death people wo want to kill each other. And then, naruto and sasuke realizes they can't hate each other, instead, they are comrades who compete, they protect, communicate, motivate each other. Even tough this is not the expected friendship that people wants, there it is. And the main character feels it. But he regrets because he can't do more for his friend because of the fear or for that strange spirit inside him.

So, I would believe to they are just good friends if Naruto does not thinks about Sasuke so so much. If Naruto did not remembered him in each little mision, or in hang out with his friends, each time he looks to the sky, each time to he talks with an stranger, if Naruto did not look to Sasuke's photography while says: "Sasuke, I'm at home now. Sasuke, I'll go for you this time, Sasuke, Sasuke, Sasuke". I would believe they have a normal relationship if Naruto did not fight so hard for understand Sasuke's feelings, and when he finally does, his reaction is: I'm never gonna leave you alone, even at death. I'm not allow you go to darkness intentionally, especially when we both now how it is. I can't turn my back on you.

Other aspect is to people does not like Sasuke's reactions cause he is not an occ character, because he's introvert and every time try to hide his feeling for the sake of his revenge (because he suffered a very big trauma, this is not necessary for mention), and all the time he is saying Naruto must die because HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO PREVENT TO SASUKE BEING ALONE IN THIS WORLD, and to the end, when Sasuke really can kill him, he simply turn off his sharingan or he does not move. He really wanted to kill him, wheter the mangekyo, or for being alone, or just for the fact of being possessed by the enemy who is inside in Naruto, but at the end Sasuke reflects to he does not want to being alone, he can't imagine someone hurts Naruto (and we see this on the War, where Sasuke protects him, saved him from the lave although he can float, interposing himself between Naruto and Obito, put the susanoo on Naruto).

And that's it, Sasuke allways asking why? why me? why you go so far for me? The answer allwas was to, bullshit that thing for being hokage, the true goal allways was the wellness of Sasuke, Sasuke come back to home (Naruto is his home, he say that o.o). Because Sasuke demostrated him what love was, trough his constant protectiveness, competition, motivation, trough a pet name that endures in Boruto's series, trough the moments together. And Naruto wants to Sasuke remember that.

To the end, they almost dying, they confess their feelings. I felt your pain, I was embelesed with you since the very beggining. It's not a conventional love story, because both main characters have their ideas, mental problems, ways to act. They look for each other in darkness, in a world full of hate. And they transformed that hatred in love.

And they saved the humanity's ass so come on, who likes and knows how to read, will understand this story.

This is sorta like a practice of redaction, so sorry if there are any mistake. I hope to get better in this because I love it :)

-her frustration with her "memory in pieces" become so much more interesting considering it as a control mechanism- nancy is obsessively in control of what shes thinking and feeling and executes that control firmly in pretext of solving mysteries - she controls and solves them, they dont control her. like cancer was "the mystery she couldnt solve" and she just spiraled from there. like in the first ep she says "it was more than just a hobby, it was part of who i was" past tense. shes trying to reclaim parts of her identity that she thought were unshakeable, like mysteries and who her parents are, yet these parts of her identity that she still picks up and engages with turn out to be destructive both to herself and those around her. does her ability to draw the line differ? like the mysteries are a comfort/lacking stillness to avoid dealing with emptiness: did mysteries always hurt her parents/friends/others when she was younger, and she just never noticed because their lives werent permanently damaged like nancys picking apart these secrets did?

I mean canon wise we already got a kind of near death conclusion to that. Sasha “dying” in an heroic way and Rhys crying over the fact that he´s about to loose not only a great friend he just made but also probably the greatest love of his Life and he couldn´t even tell her how he felt T_T And Sheding those Crocodile tears to heal her just like in a fairytale. Post Tales wise I would say Rhys probably is more likely to be killed in the gruesome world of the Borderlands. Sash is a really spontanious and emotional person but due to her whole life being trained as a Con Artist i would say she tries to stay Pride, not showing “weakness”  at first but she would have a really difficult time to get over the loss of her loved one.

Wheter it was when they were kids or when they reunited as Attorney and Prosecutor they always had great admiration and respect to each other. Especially good ol Feenie. The Class Trial Incident really did a number on him and seeing Miles standing up to him let him care for him even more.

I´m not  big of a fan of T&T as everyone else seems to be, but that moment when Feenie fell from the bridge and called Miles to come see him at the hospital. His sickness didn´t let him wor further so he put all his trust into him and take his role. Not only did he put his entire trust into him but he also gave Miles a chance to feel close to his deseased Dad by being an Attorney T_T They´re a lot of great Moments between those 2 but this one is really special i think.

Okay, first of all: I‘m so very very sorry I answer this by now, but a) I was on vacation and very lazy, and b), I had to think about this for some time. But – you‘re right! Although I don‘t vibe with every song on the album, I try to give my honest oppinion about each and every record of the album

One of the songs I listed to several times, but I couldn‘t really get into it. BUT! The lyrics? What a perfect match. I mean:

Literally the first few chapters/ episodes, where the children have to come to terms with the fact their lives are nothing but manufactered, fake and way too short.

Setting fire to the orphanage? Hiding their fangs and claws all autumn, to pretent they really lost all hope? I don‘t even need to talk about this more, have I?

Your Bones is actually one of my favourites! It‘s so dramatic and I adore Ragnar Þórhallsson‘s singing voice in this so much – it‘s raw, it‘s melacholic, it‘s full of pain. It‘s just 😍😍😍

But back to TPN. I never associated the song with my favourite manga, but you know what? It‘s the first arc all over again. Especially considering Norman‘s role in the escape and his fate he had to face during these few months.

In the spring, we made a boat Out of feathers, out of bones We set fire to our homes Walking barefoot in the snow

Okay, they didn‘t flee in the springtime, but remember how Norman stated he would create a „boat out of mud“? Yeah, you can add the feathers (Norman‘s wish to break free and live) as well as the bones (his very body, his soul, his everything), all just to make sure his family would make it out of the farm for good.

Awakened by the sound Of a screaming owl Chasing leaves in the wind Going where we've never been Said goodbye to you, my friend As the fire spread All that's left are your bones That will soon sink like stones

That part matches so good to the childrens journey after the bunker was destroyed and they had to search for a new home. And although they could reunite with Norman once again, they also had to learn not everything of their friend made it out of Lambda alive – at least not his innocence.

Sinking Man

Another one of my favourites. It‘s depressive and bonechilling but on the same note optimistic. The calm melody and voices are great, and the lyric video itself catched my eye from the first moment I have seen it – although nothing happens but jellyfishes 😅😬

But now to the topic prior! Again, this is one of the songs I don‘t really associate with TPN, but other fictional characters. Someone once stated it would match Norman‘s inner struggle to let himself be shipped out, and although I can‘t really get behind it, it fits miraculousy again!

I push you away Although I wished you could stay So many words left unsaid But I'm all out of breath

Remember how he slammed Emma on the floor, so she couldn‘t deactivate his tracker? How he literally pushed Ray and Emma asaid (while their escape and when he turned himself into William Minerva)? How he probably wanted to tell them how sorry he was for everything he had done until a certain point in life, while feeling like drowing and sinking to the ground? Yeah, me too.

In conclusion: 7/10

A title of OMAM I only learned to love some months prior! Again, it starts calm but becomes more catchy over time, and do you know where I can picture this as background music very well – during Ray-and-Emma-scenes! Wheter it be their journey through the woods to the shelter or to Goldy Pond, their synchronication reflects very well in the lyrics.

I'm looking for a place to start And everything feels so different now Just grab a hold of my hand I will lead you through this wonderland

Somewhere deep in the dark A howling beast hears us talk I dare you to close your eyes And see all the colors in disguise

It‘s easy for me to imagine how the wild beasts, may it be degenerated demons or the poachers, are awaiting Emma and Ray, and how these two only have each others hand to walk trough everything they have to face. Also, if you replace „wonderland“ with „neverland“, nothing would change but the even more fitting theme.

In conclusion: 8/10

Yes, I‘m weak for romantic shippings, and please for everything on this earth, listen to this song and try to think about a yearning Ray singing (or at least thinking) this to Norman, while he knows very well his feelings are not reciprocated (or are they…?)

If I had the artistic skills to make a fancomic about this song, with Ray and Norman in the starring roles, I would do it gladly. It‘s just that good.

Hmm, this track… it‘s nice, you know, but my heart doesn‘t feel anything while listening to it. But I will not give up and say, the lyrics kinda matches Norman‘s situation after he destroyed Lambda and searched for a new safe space – or maybe even Ayshe, walking behind the men who killed her dear father, so she can survive on her own.

I can‘t really tell you more about this song and it‘s connection with TPN – I‘m sorry!

Hmm, another song about a journey into a new future – there‘s really a red string in this album, isn‘t it? From Finner didn‘t catched me as much as other songs, and the calmness also didn‘t really match the story of the cattle children, I have to admit. But the pure joy of being away from home, being guided into a new life, a new future, resonates fairly well with the feelings of Emma and co.

And we are far from home But we're so happy Far from home, all alone But we're so happy

Reading the lyrics alone, I can easily transport them onto the first days with Mujika and Sonju or even with Mister‘s guidance to Goldy Pond (and the time after that, when the children learned to survive on their own in the wildness).

In conclusion: 5/10

What a fun lil song! I haven‘r listened to it in a while, but it‘s always a joy to follow the easy melody and lyrics. I can‘t match it too much with TPN, but one verse stood out for me:

Hmm, who was told they could never away from anywhere, only for them proving everyone wrong? Yeah, the pure optimism of Numb Bears is 100% Emma and honestly, I dig it
