October has been a real drag. #Inktober passed, #Halloween went by and unfortunately I didn’t get to draw anything for any of those occasions. 2020 has been weird. I got to work on a lot of projects. More than I ever have done. But recently I haven’t really had the heart to be fully engaged in my social media activities with the proper enthusiasm due to the ongoing events in my country. But there looks to be a silver lining on the horizon. I finally started getting the same feeling of musings today. I’ve been working on multiple projects regardless. ➡️SWIPE for the black on white sketch (reverse of this one) and the original sketch from a year ago➡️ I'm nearly done with my sketchbook, I have one proper page left, but I'm kind of scared of it, so for some reason, I drew on the black cover instead 😅 Those of you who have been around for a little while might remember this concept, as I first drew it almost a year ago. I would like to paint it at some point, so I'm exploring different compositions. I like some aspects of both, so I'll be continuing to explore it further 😊 I'll have a proper post about them on Patreon soon, where I'll talk about what I like and don't like in both compositions, and how I could explore the idea further! Portraits of You – A Celebration of Patrons of the Arts!

I would not be here today without the help of my friends, family, and supporters. And I want to thank you, not just with words, but with actions. Since February marks the one year anniversary (yay!) of going live on Patreon, I thought this would be the perfect time to do something special!

As some of you know, when I was born, I not only inherited some amazing artistic talents, but also some physical disadvantages. I was born with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) - a collagen/connective tissue defect, and hip dysplasia. Both genetic conditions, an both considered rare disorders. These conditions are degenerative and cause other conditions that are progressive, and make it so I cannot do most of the things that people take for granted without severe pain or injury. But what I can still do, is make art....so I'm making as much as possible for as long as possible!

My goal is to have enough portraits by the end of the year to have a solo gallery show in the Seattle area. Every portrait will be of someone who is not only a fan of my work, but an actual Patron of the Arts, who helps to support me and enable me to keep making art!
