It’s literally 2 am rn and I just watched the gwitch finale and I’ve been screaming so hard but I don’t want to wake anyone up soI’ve been going a t a pitch so high I can barely hear myslef and now I’m lightheaded and idk if it’s bc of the elated screaming or bc of the finale but my g od and they’re fuckin married and the show made that clear they’re in love and on a farm on earth

the thump of her heavy boots rang against the flagstones like hail, easily parting the cluster of idiots who remained outside to gawk at the sky.

glory had half a mind to give up everything—just leave it all, hitch a ride on the only train back out and forget she ever made it here—but isa and funyun were waiting at home. waiting nervously, no doubt. she had left their place in such a rush after wave breaker called her (he never calls, which was reason to worry enough), blowing all his stupid ducks about the city in danger and the fight to keep splatsville intact and could she meet him by the turf lobby, and since she knew him she was already halfway out the door as he urged her over the phone that there was no time to waste... well. she thought she knew him, anyway.

the eye of the storm soaked her world in blood as she sped home, relying purely on muscle memory and adrenaline. she could feel its gaze on her back.

despite her pace, a thousand emotions followed her home; rage most of all. deep-seated betrayal. hurt. she could fail all sixty-five kettles in alterna at the same time and it wouldn't sting the way his voice did when she backed away from the threshold of grizzco's headquarters. but underneath that, something in the desperate plea of his voice and the bags under his eyes left her heavy with guilt—shame, almost?

..fucking ridiculous.

it's his damn fault he works for that shithole company anyway, and honestly, what did he think was going to happen? convince her to get grizzco out of a tight spot? not her circus, not her monkfish.

but still the sight of him wouldn't leave her: shoulders tense, drawstrings clutched in his fist, eyes wide with anguish and silent fury obvious in the movement of his hair. she wrestled it into the recesses of her mind and pulled out a nearly-gone memory, clouded as the sky above her, to cover it. someone she loved read to her as she drifted to sleep. (an eternity later, her hands shook as she unlocked the apartment door and turned the knob.)

Okay, and if I said this is one of the coolest action sequnces in Dragons Rising?

I mean, like, the way Kai confidently spins into Rising Dragon and Cinder keeps Trying to fight him, but Kai is Way too quick with it, the way Lloyd has Ras scurrying around on (almost) all-fours, and how Ras blocks all of Lloyd's attacks with his hammer...

then Lloyd energy-spamming, shooting smaller blasts... and Ras smacking Lloyd outta his Spinjitsu...

Like it's a Short moment but at least it's still a moment in the series... like really showing off Dragons Rising getting ambitious with the fight animation again after some of the Far more bland and snoozefest fights of the first season (Ras vs. Sora and Arin, Ninja vs Spirit of the Temple)...
