why am i obsessed with an album that was made to help people experience dementia and why is drifting time misplaced such a Good fucking Tune!

i'm the type of person to, regardless if it's a song i like or not, absolutely despise when someone pitches, speeds up, slows down, or at all alters a song in a way that makes it sound super different from the original

i could literally never get into nightcore because of this

any time i listen to that type of stuff it just sounds WRONG to me idk why

yet the caretaker's mix just works

like i can listen to Heartaches by Al Bowly and It's Just a Burning Memory and there is No Issue at all

same with Lullaby of the Leaves and Drifting Time Misplaced (or Misplaced in Time but personally i prefer drifting time myself)

i find it extra funny because you'd Think that it should sound wrong because it's supposed to help simulate the progression of dementia but no, drifting time misplaced starts playing and I am just

For some unknown reason, one of my secret delights is the way makeup was designed for film in the early days-- especially for television.

Because of the way colours showed up on camera, the colours used were not always the ones you might expect-- red, for example, often showed up more like black.

So, for example, green blusher and lipstick (or black) was often used on the actors (men and women). Shadows did not show up the same way, so there was some heavy contouring used.

Sometimes the pancake used for the full face had a green or blue tinge to it, so working on sets was very surreal!

yeah i don’t really know how we got here either.

hey uh. something occurred???? so yesterday i decided to try and resprite ralsei for funsies and i got really carried away. there’s 16 of these now. my friends are actively on their way to grab and shake me like orange juice. i have no self control.

this was partially a style test? i’ve got to get to the isat redraw sprites at some point (i promise i haven’t completely dropped the project) and i didn’t really like how Derivative the old mockups were? i wanted to figure out my pixel art style! and i think these helped! so that’s a win in my books. anyways go my sprites. there’s two because i didn’t have room for chara.
