TEE!!!! i am coming directly into your askbox to scream about the latest rb! gojo fic! aND LIKE!!! the knowledge that you had posted it literally got me outta bed this morning and i read it on my phone with one hand as i was getting ready and the fic!! it beat me up!!! cut me bit by bit until i was only a pile on the ground!! dadjo is terrible for forcing them (or at least trying) to break up!! preying on the class difference and reader's insecurity over it!! honestly, if anything he should be impressed because reader is a very smart cookie and a hard worker. iirc they were working two jobs at one point??? VERY IMPRESSIVE. dadjo can't even do one job right smh.

he was soaked to the bone. yes. good. nothing like a sopping wet man on your doorstep. LMAOOO but. augh. when reader mentioned how his dad was involved gojo got so mad that i thought he was actually going to storm off (and then come back again) but luckily he didn't.

when he was yelling and demanding to know why reader broke up with him, i kind of thought of that piece where he convinces them to stay until morning and they finally make it official— when he's demanding to know why reader won't consider a relationship and he's almost yelling and reader tells him not to yell at them… and then here, the narration mentions how he never yells and like, i don't know if that was intentional or not, but if it was… well, he's commited so much about the reader to memory that it would make sense he'd remember something like that.

and then there's this line: they’re bright and kind and deeper than the ocean. but unlike the ocean, they’re not scary to fall into, to lose yourself in no matter how far you are from shore. that one made me think of the sunglasses piece because the same comparison is made in the narration— how gojo's eyes are like the depths of the ocean, but in that fic/drabble, they're something scary. and like. it's a very cool writing thing and it makes me wanna scream LMAOOO.

ANYWAY I'M SO GLAD THEY DIDN'T STAY BROKEN UP FOR LONG AND THAT DADJO GETS HIS. reader definitely should have talked to gojo, but they can make it up to him by remaining by his side for the rest of their life hehe. dadjo should just accept reader because like, at this rate, some disowning is going to happen and the gojo family will have no heir (either satoru disowns the family or they disown him) but he'll be okay because he has his brains and reader (or the grandparents will get involved and give dadjo what he deserves!!!)

honestly i think one of the main problems w bllk is that kaneshiro is spreading the cast too thin and making people care about too many characters but it’s impossible to effectively manage such a huge cast given the premise of the story and still have emotional impact when stuff happens to them and that also means that characters aside from the protagonist aren’t given a ton of fleshing out (this is relatively common in shounen sadly…jjk had a similar issue but almost to the next level) where by focusing on lesser characters and just giving them insane depth the story would’ve felt much stronger ☝🏻 like realistically there’s 0 reason for kurona to exist in nel when reo (as per our earlier convos) or yukimiya could’ve easily taken that role and had their characters developed much more!! kiyora could also have been replaced with yukimiya (as much as i love him) and tbh?? get sendou out of ubers and focus more on aryu (how’d he go from number 2 in scoring goals to a defensive player?? flesh him out more instead of sendou literally nobody cares abt him…hot take but only memorable u20 players were aiku sae and shidou the rest did not need to be there), get rid of tokimitsu entirely (show how his nervous personality doesn’t jive with egoism) and give zantetsu + karasu more opportunities to shine in pxg (honestly if they wanted to keep the cutthroat feel of second selection then get rid of nanase too and show how kindness doesn’t cut it in bllk where you need to be insane; that way the cast is still large but these characters aren’t fighting for a main spot they’re more naruhaya-esque) 😰 and another hot take but they should’ve saved all of the other ng11s besides sae until the world cup arc (so no kaiser and lorenzo in nel) to really build the hype and stakes of the wc because rn it’s like…ok the bllkers have already managed to beat lorenzo and the whole kaisagi rivalry is going on so the ng11s don’t feel as threatening?? whereas they could’ve been a really cool obstacle in the wc and would’ve provided a baddie of the week feel and higher stakes without it being boring or random since they’ve been so foreshadowed already with sae

yeahhh unfortunately fandom people can be a little weird to say the least and especially now that i have a decent amt of followers i know there are going to be interesting individuals in my comments so it’s not even worth it to not tag…okay but hear me out i wasn’t even thinking about this when i assigned teams (nagi got his team based on cuddly fluffy vibes and barou got his team as all dark types because of his “villain king” thing and reader was forced to have one of the same pokémon as him for the sibling theme…of barou’s team i liked houndoom the most so that’s what reader got) BUT the parallels between nagi’s starter being arcanine and reader’s being houndoom kinda go crazy?? like they both have huge fiery dogs but as per the pokédex arcanine symbolizes loyalty justice protection etc and houndoom is like death hell horror and whatnot 😭 however as we know nagi’s aura is death and reader’s character’s main theme is love (for barou, for her pokémon, etc) so narratively nagi x reader would be so good…especially if they’re each other’s “rivals” but they’re not really rivals and half of the time are helping each other out…there’s a vision here and it’s cooking imo 🤩 ALSO i’m thinking…hear me out…karasu reminds reader of barou so he becomes like her surrogate older brother while they’re searching for barou and reader is the annoying little sibling karasu never had which makes him respect yayoi more and teaches him responsibility and maturity which in turn makes yayoi finally respect him too 🤔

honestly galvantula is such a random pokémon but realistically in terms of type matchups it’s absolutely CARRYING reader against barou’s team considering dark is weak to bug 😭 honestly it’s such a cool little pokémon i think it’s so fun for her to have it on her team!! and the gyarados plot line is going to be so entertaining (basically she gets scammed into trading a freshly caught pokémon for a magikarp and shenanigans ensue) that i think the basicness is excusable

hiori and ice types just go so well together (even though he only has one on his team I think 😭) and agreed i can see him retiring from battling after his arc w reader and co and following his actual passion of helping endangered pokémon instead of listening to his parents (maybe karasu inspires him because he also stood up to his family [yayoi] and that gives hiori the courage to do the same)

gen six is where i left off!! i played gen seven (namely moon and a bit of ultra moon) but i didn’t like them that much so as far as i and this au are concerned the pokémon verse ended with xy/oras 🤩 omg wait aryu as a pokémon groomer slays…maybe he’s the one yuki takes his pokémon to before contests?? and perhaps the itoshi bros are mentioned in passing as gym leaders in another region…kaiser as noel noa’s apprentice who’s going to be a new e4 member like isagi (but a bitchier one who never knew barou and never directly interacts with reader) and same with bachira + kunigami (kaiser to replace noel noa, bachira to replace lavinho, kunigami to replace chris prince, and isagi to replace snuffy) there’s just so many different roles that characters can play!! the world building would be so fun

Question for your event: what's your top 5 fics you've made in the past? I think some people find their older works to be cringe, but I find looking back at what I've made in the past to be endearing. Like,, look how far you've come or maybe it's interesting to see what trends carry out through out all your works

Hmbbb that’s a hard question. I do like rereading my old works, but there’s definitely a level of improvement I’ve gained that means I nitpick old stuff or don’t like my voice or pacing as much as I used to. Which happens with anything really but means sometimes I can’t enjoy the full piece. I also haven’t reread a lot of my old works recently so my vibes on how I feel about them are outdated.

If we’re talking about works older than a year, here a few I rmr still having a fondness for. They aren’t in any particular order though and I feel good gennnnerally about most of my stuff, but esp haven’t reread a lot of DC ones in awhile:

The in betweens (Bill n Ted) I rmr trying to do no scene breaks for this one, kind of like a lineless style but for writing, and I think I did that well in the end! Also always a sucker for domesticity and it feels very alive and dynamic and content in itself which is really nice

Contact (Lost Boys 1987) It’s a good short piece and while it feels kind of OOC for how I’d handle TLB these days, I think the intimacy and the inclusion of everyone in such a short word count is p well done and I like the texture of it a lot

Grounding Rod (Legion of Supes 2006) Iirc I have more issues with the prose of this one than most others, but the ideas I got out within it and the fact that it’s currently my only Legion fic endear it to me and I’d be interested to do More with some of what I outlined here

I’ll be there for you (Batman Beyond) THISSS was I think my first fic even close to this kind of length and I rmr it was written when I still had full on fic requests open in my inbox. It was meant to be so much shorter but it grew and it’s also like? Genuinely still pretty solid to me? Was a banger way to hit off my beyond phase and was one of the first times I’d done kind of a drawn out plot

Asynchronous (Bill n Ted) My very first Bill and Ted fic, and while it was still in an era of my writing I don’t like as muchhhh with like… kind of overly physical angsty or injury focused scenarios, I think it’s still pretty solid. It explores an alternate idea of what could happen in bogus journey and of if a do not separate set was separated, and even though it’s kind of gross and bleak being Bill and Ted adds a humor to it I think really works and also made me snicker a bit while reading

When it comes to trends I definitely know I use similar descriptions a lot esp when it comes to emotions and breakdowns as I was often pulling off my own experience. In my earlier writing especially my DC stuff like I mentioned above I was also very into harder angst? I’m not as into gore or injury for the sake of it anymore but a lot of my works starting out were very Sad for Sad sake and while they def still explored characters I’m glad I feel I have a wider range of focus now?

I do feel that, looking back, I’ve lost a level of natural-ness to a lot of my stuff. My older works feel looser and less stiff, and I’ve recently found myself in a place of having a difficult time writing regular interaction scenes. I dont know if I’m burnt out or if I’m just overly critical now, but I do wish I had some of that more pliant quality some of my older stuff has. I miss it!

That’s an interesting piece of looking back though and also why I have a no delete policy nowadays on stuff. Seeing where I’ve been and what’s changed and stayed the same is rly fascinating to me :-)

generally speaking, anyone i bias is 10000% bc of their personality and who they are. i don't think i have a type per se, but i just love each of them for who they are :3 iiii have been with a lot of these groups since debut, so i feel very lucky to witness these people grow as professionals/artists, but also evolve as people :D

every bts and seventeen member is my bias wrecker ........ but since i am an skz blog, idk sometimes is mr bang chan but then i rmr how cringe he can be and wake up. the thought of the song makes his heart leap a little, in a nice way. however, he’s not as connected to it as songs above it. the sonic side of it is what bumps it up for him, though, because it’s very easy, pleasant listening

this makes his heart pump even harder. as much of a sad sack as he can be, happiness and hope tickle his feathers with the force of she-ra. it’s one of those songs that makes him smile. and he thinks ed’s voice works better with taylor’s than gary’s

in famed, it lyrically doesn’t Hit sung the same as it would in aus, but it Almost does. mostly because sung is an empathetic beech, but it makes him feel so incredibly happy for t swift, and makes him feel Hopeful

as a dude who has never Actually lost a lover, he doesn’t get it. but damn if red doesn’t make him think he gets it. sonically, very into sung’s likes, And... sung single luver, so red has to have a higher spot because it makes him think of the album overall

sung probably read taylor saying this was a fictional desire in a relationship and sung would have felt that Hard when the album came out, even, which can’t be said for a lot of the album. the song makes him happy as hew, especially after getting into a relationship that gives him this Feeling

this song really appeals to the sentimental side of sung. he tends to have a bad habit of feeling romantically for every man he develops the slightest connection with, and could Feel a song like this for a dude he spent three hours with. also he has SOME taste and can realize the lyrical masterpiece of you call me up again just to break me like a promise so casually cruel in the name of being honest i’m a crumpled up piece of paper lying here cos i rmr it all too well

2. treacherous

part of what sung loves about t swift is that she expresses his feelings even when the way they each interpret the music is different, and is a religious romantic. and for sung, this song feels like his connection to his sexuality. treacherous, but worth the drive

hm well skam nl is my favorite and their social media game is trash LMAOOO so generally No but i do feel like remakes who DO have such a good presence kind of elevate the show and i think it’s pretty heartwarmin to see some remakes go sm farther than skam with social media and puttin out educational and IN CHARA resources like skames does this so well and i feel like in that way, the team is really really spreadin skam’s spirit via these resources (like joana’s billion bpd awareness ig accounts and lucas rubio’s yt channel)

2. Least favourite clip of the show? Why?

tbh there are definitely some duds but probably one of the clips with sana gettin herself into a hole in s4 just bc some were hard to watch cus cringey or yikes .... idk i cant think of others LMAO

3. Which character did you feel the most connected to and why?

ijeoiqjiwoij even tho even is my all time fave skam chara, i have to say isak for all of these reasons 

4. Your least favourite part of every season?

season 1 - tbh even though i really enjoyed this season, it does take a while for it to build up like i rmr at first not being that interested until ep6 maybe ?? which is hard when you’re trying to get your friends to watch but they have to wait until ep6 before shit starts RLLY buildin up and gettin wild

season 2 - hm ig noora chasin after william ??

season 3 - bro NOTHINGGG call me a purist but its such a refined masterpiece like the pacing is good the characterization is so good ugh i deadass cant think of anythin

season 4 - i always felt a little ??? w noora being sana’s bff ig bc from s1-s3 it didn’t Feel like they were that close like even in noora’s pov, sana wasn’t really a part of it that much ?? like eva was more of noora’s bff ?? so i feel like it would have made more sense if maybe sana spoke more with chris or vilde bc sana and vilde eventually seemed to get closer esp with kosegruppa and chris has always been by sana’s side ?? idk that always confused me

5. What is your opinion on the cast’s participation on social media? Do you prefer it when the cast aren’t that involved like the Skam cast, or do you like a lot of content like the Fr cast do?

tbh i don’t care much abt the casts LMAOOO if anythin it kind of brings more harm as seen with the harassment axel and maxence get and also can bring more controversy like with irene (which honestly is p sad considerin how much i love skames bc now i feel super :/ watchin it like she shouldve just had private accts at this point)

OOOHHH ugh torn bc i like isak’s pov but also i want even’s so might have to forfeit isak season for even season ....... hm so probs vilde, sana, even, noora (maybe not w william tho) and honestly maybe jonas too ??

8. Are there any moments that you liked in the show that everyone else seems to hate?

IJXDWQOIJJ yes .... remakes-wise, people hate skam nl s2’s last half but i enjoyed it for the most part ... i think the pacing was off for the last ep but personally, clip 50 made up for it and is p god tier imo ..... and also don’t think the first half of ep10 is enough to discredit the entire season bc i rlly loved seeing liv’s pov and have sm fave moments from the season 

but skam wise, omg might get a lil controversial w this one IM SORRY !!! im bein honest and its Just my opinion ok 

personally s2 got me more invested than s1 and i don’t think its a super bad season like i didnt really say many problems wrong with it until i got on tumblr wiejioqjoiqjq i was sort of interested in the questions that the noora/william dynamic brought up which is, as expressed in william’s war speech to noora, that nothing is ever black/white which i feel was a huge message and feeds into the ‘you never know what ppl are going through’ theme of the season ... like i like the idea of someone like noora, who can have a black/white mentality (as seen in the first clip of s2 when she tells vilde that they can’t have the tannin company as their sponsor bc they objectify women or smth but misses the context and what it could mean for the bus monetarily bc shes caught up in bein ‘woke’) having to break out of that and see more than one side ... and i think remakes like skam austin expanded on this idea well like when zoya was like ‘must be so nice being right all the time’ which i Do feel like is an important for youth to know today .... bc i think its so easy to get caught up in the idea of being so objectively right and morally superior that people lose sight of the more nuanced characteristics to life ... (omg long ramble BUT)

9. What did you learn from the show?

omg honestly too much to write here tbh ..... but if it says anythin im (very slowly) in the works of a three part skam essay about basically how skam teaches us to be better humans and how to better treat the people we care about diowjqioj essentially the three biggest themes of the show: you never know what someone is going through so always be kind, always communicate with your friends, and no person is ever alone and i feel like these are definitely rlly good messages to live by (also livet er nå BITCH !!!)

had my first run-in with the janissaries

basically i went through every area i could access to get all the treasure chests i had been avoiding bc they were guarded n stuff. and all of them were easy, like four were in a huge restricted area that literally had two guards lmao, but there’s this one. it’s in a camp, the only camp ive come across in this game, and there’s like 50 guards around it

most of them are janissaries, who are... the most annoying enemy ive come across in this series. like i knew they’d be hard based on their description and what i’ve read about them but holy fuck i did not expect to be this bad at fighting them. they can block or counter or dodge every attack you have, they can either combo-hit you or shoot you, and they take a million years to die bc it’s so hard to find an opening. oh and in this case there’s no way to just fight them one by one. 

they’re also quite resistant to the crossbow and the hidden gun, like a few enemies in this game, and they take like 3 shots form either to die. the only way to one-shot them is via poison or arrow storm. idk how well bombs work since i suck at using them and you can’t snipe them from the roof bc this is a pretty big open camp.

in my panic i ended up calling a few assassins and thankfully none of them died but it was close. taunt doesn’t exist in this game so you can’t disarm them like the papal guards, and apparently the best ways to kill them are via counter steal??? which is pretty complicated and im too slow to use it, or via air assassination which im also too slow for. i dont think they show up in other places but i think there’s a mission involving them and this camp which is. scary. i mean i guess i could go there and just practice them or smth but i feel underleveled for it. id like to get more stuff and more experience with the bombs before i do that

i feel like there isn’t too much to do in this game yet, ive just been running around getting money renovating buildings lowering my awareness rinse and repeat, and also recruiting any troubled citizens i came across. i’ve managed to recruit pretty much everyone that showed up on my map apart from one particular guy because its a race

and races are still fucking impossible jesus fucking christ its not even hard but EZIO JUST JUMPS ALL OVER THE PLACE EVEN WHEN MY FINGERS ARE WORKING CORRECTLY AND ITS SO FUCKING ANNOYING JEHSUGDJUSJDUG 

i am glad i checked it out tho bc there’s a small cutscene before the race starts and holy shit have i mentioned i love ezio. ohhhhhh my god i love ezio in this game. HE’S SO GREAT WHAT THE HECK. like hes always been great but hes so. hes so mature now. hes so calm. i keep saying that but its true g o d. AND HIS VOICE I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW MUCH I LOVE HIS VOICE AND HOW IT CHANGES THROUG HTHE GAMES. 

the combat and movement does feel pretty wonky at times like the secondary weapon just doesnt work sometimes for some reason i cant figure out and it takes a million years to stand up if i happen to fall, which i dont rmr if it was the same in brotherhood bc i never fell, and 99% of the time i just can’t break out of grabs even if i do what the prompt is telling me. its worked twice before and i was doing the exact same thing i always try to do so most of the time i just stand there and get stabbed. 

which is why im still not making the most of the combat system and i prefer using coward strats and killing everything from the rooftops or with the arrow storm. i also still don’t understand how purchasing bombs works, like i had three types of bombs then i bought like 4 from the guy but i ended up only having two?? i think the stuff you buy from him can only take up one slot, so if you buy four types of bombs you’ll end up with the last one you purchased. but it’s not clear which slot they each go into and you also aren’t told what they do unless you go into the database and check it out??? 

roughly half of them seem useless since they can affect civilians or im just never in a situation where they’d be useful, and i feel like using them takes too much thinking and time because half the time i just can’t deploy them when i need to. switching weapons is also so fucking annoying since now have two weapon wheels and i gotta hit a button to switch to the second wheel and /then/ i gotta use the mouse to actually move the arrow to the weapon i want bc rebinding the controls makes the selection skip items. wasnt an issue before whne there was only one wheel but now its annoying bc bombs. also the crossbow is a primary weapon now and i hate. 

still having a great time with the game i just hate the moments when all the issues with the controls make it harder than its supposed to be. im kind of itching for another hidden tomb now eh

fu’s got a lot of complicated, contradicting feelings regarding his parents ( like .. fucking obviously but listEN )--and overall, towards those feelings, he’s super annoyed at them .. bc . he feels like . it rly shouldn’t be this hard to figure out .

it’s just that - he tries to lay it out simply in (1) one thought , but every time, it snowballs into a huge messy web before he even realizes it -- sometimes it’s so overwhelming, especially when he talks about it with people and has to organize his thoughts out loud and on the fly that he just kinda ... shuts down? seizes up? bc it’s just . a sensory overload when it all kinda clumps together all at once

he feels a sort-of Yearning for being a part of a family again - but knows that that feeling is just kinda smth he conjured up in his head from (his loneliness that he doesnt even realize or wanna admit is there)--he knows he Doesn’t rmr hardly anything from when they were alive, since--1) he was a Baby 2) he was Brainwashed and everything was hazey Anyway, but . . he can’t help but . Wish? Hope? that it would be smth worth yearning for?

(that said, he also doesnt feel desire to--make his own family, like marry or have kids. this is part of that not-realizing he just feels lonely; that its not some desire for ‘family’ specifically. he just. kinda desires companionship! as sappy as that is. and thats why he cant figure it out bc--why would he ever feel smth so sappy!??? )

he also feels   like   contempt towards the fact that he was brainwashed, obviously, of course--

and he also -- fears the day that they, if they ever come back bc he knows it’d just be that; not the cutesy happy family idea he has in his head, and he knows that--which, in turn, makes him feel like an idiot because he can’t shake that desire for that reality

and even then -- he doesn’t hate his parents for literally brainwashing him because for him and for them that’s. that’s normal! brainwashing was just what towa did, she didn’t do it to him to be malicious or evil ; it was just . her modus operandi . while that’s not something most people would just accept , ever, he -- because he was born into it first and then came to know free will after, it just--twists it up as not being so bad?in his head

that being said he regards towa and mira in general and their mission to revive the demon realm with this sort of shrugging “ehhhhh?” because--man does he not care about that .. at all...like, shit, if THEY wanna do that, like, i mean , go off i guess, but--

but then he stops because, ok, no, maybe don’t just go off, bc that would make a lot of ppl pretty miserable and unhappy ( -- people he--finally might get to start calling his friends! ) but then that’s -- sappy --

some big part of him, that immortal side of him that knows all of this is just so temporary and , in the grand grand grand scheme of things, so pointless and unimportant (in the ‘so why worry?’ kinda way)-- that side of him shrugs it off, but then he knows, he knows, what other part of him knows that’s a terrible way to look at it for everyone elses sake?
