Have some sketches n doodlez n stuff I did over the course of 2 weeks while working. The second img is the canvas I used to get used to the new setup lmaoo. And then I just went to town every shift after that for a little while.
These are a little old.
Was too lazy to transfer this to my pc cause my laptop is broken af and doesn't connect to wifi which meant id either have to move my pc around to squeeze behind my desk and get to my ethernet cable OR
find my phone's old broken ass usb cord and put these on there.
I did the second thing lel. EDIT: added some close ups. and ALSO ALSO i have lore about BB and Mimi (Bunny Argos and lil Mr. Plant) that I've wanted to talk about forever but I dunno if anyone cares lmaooo.

tfa megatron but the reverse engineering of his form mr sumdac fucked him up. he talks with a tone similar to that tiktok tts and his disdain and his hate and his pride can't be fully expressed anymore. the cave the decepticons live in hides them from the autobots signals but it also helps megs not deal with the constant notifications and posts from sites from the phones that he made. but even then it's not enough cause everyday his head is roaring with advertisements and stupid videos and memes coming from tablets and laptops that were made from part of his cranium.
he knows that pens used to draw were taken from his servos when mr sumdac realised that they had more uses them being furniture. he knows that the wires in that streamers pc setup were supposed to be his, operating his brain. parts of his optic were taken and formed into phonescreens that could not be shattered. pathetic, a cybertronian could still crush them easily.
he doesn't want to be on earth anymore. he wants to finish the spacebridge and go to cybertron and finally win the war. because he refuses to believe he went through all that agony and suffering for 50 years to not go through with it anymore. maybe once he's taken over cybertron he'll come back and raze this pathetic planet to the ground. maybe if cybertron is far enough he can escape all the millions of wifi passwords and pdfs and scams that haunt him every moment he lives. he shall never know peace and quiet again. you may pity him, but to some, after all he's done, all the crimes he's committed and blood that's on his servos, this isn't even the worst of it.

I suppose this is the perfect time to introduce one of my favorite OCs: the IT guy that works for the Bazaar in modern era
The Dauntless Technician
Explains to Wines that even if you delete a drunk post, everyone still saw it and it exists forever. Pretends not to see the hundreds of files of porn when they tune up its PC (it is still in charge of the sex trade after all)
Explains to Spices that you can't delete other people's (Wines') posts but you can block them (Spices doesn't). Goes in and clandestinely blocks access to Wines' pages from Spices' browser to get 20 minutes of peace
Removes viruses from Pages' computer because it keeps clicking suspicious "love story" links. There's an infamous incident where Pages clicked an attachment and introduced ILOVEYOU to the Neath. Explains to Pages that you can't make people unblock you
Pages would probably have some claim over the social media trade. The Technician moonlights as a white hat hacker undermining Pages' censorship attempts
Works closely with Fires, considering Fires probably jumps on owning technology as it advances (electricity, invention are under its domain). Fires thinks the Technician is its best ally because the Technician stands there listening to it rant (as an IT person, they are blessed with godlike patience). The Technician couldn't care less.
Replaces Fires' hardware because it melted it for the third time this week after seeing ragebait posts or reading emails from Iron. Also has to deal with Fires demanding the Technician help it install the latest tech updates the moment they drop, even if the Technician can see they won't be good.
Stones is really into mining bitcoin. Our technician doesn't even try touching that
Helps Happles set up a huge PC setup so it has two separate devices/cameras to stream cooking videos as Mr Apples and more scandalous material as Mr Hearts
The technician's favorite master is Iron. It's never demanding, it quickly adjusts to learning how to use technology, and it never gets into trouble with its devices because it's too paranoid to open spam. Iron is happily rolling in a fortune on the metals used in producing computer chips (and intermittently biting Fires over negotiations)
Embattled in a personal, passionate rivalry with the ruthless and skilled "hacker" who tries attacking the Bazaar every seven weeks, DDOS attacks are themed around water imagery, ransomware demands flesh and reckoning (the Technician doesn't have patience for any of this melodrama). The hacker's screen name is allshallbewell.
The Technician sends out PSAs begging people to recognize this and other parabolan hackers' signatures in spam links, which due to the entwining of computing and parabola, can not only brick your device but have dangerous mental consequences
The Bazaar is a messenger so really would be like the source of wifi/central communications network of the Neath, wouldn't she? The Technician gains an intimate knowledge of her from working so closely into her systems. The Penstock of the seventh city.
If our Technician is revolutionary inclined: can they pull off the job of a lifetime? Push a software update through the Bazaar's network that makes her realize she doesn't have to do all this to impress someone who will never love her? Save the Seventh by writing a program that makes the Bazaar love herself?

Stupid Computer Shenanigans
Can you tell I like computers? Can you tell I'm autistic? I hope so!
Welcome back fuckers to this tumbly tumble dryer I claimed as my own. Today's garbage fire wonders if there's a difference between a tumble dryer and a normal dryer.
So a couple weeks ago, after putting an extra 4GB of sketchy eBay RAM into it, my 2007 no-name custom-ish PC I got for $6.25 from the thrift store was ready to exist a little better than 1GB of RAM. Because my autism desires stupid bullshit, I decided I must try to use it online. One problems, however: I haven't any ethernet to my room because I'm a bitch. Now, I could solve this with a USB WiFi adapter, but the computer hates it and refuses.
Instead of doing the sensible thing and giving up, I decided it needed to get stupider. I present to you: stupid computer shenanigans.
Tumblr media
What you are witnessing is a short ethernet cable connecting the PC to a 2013 Dell business laptop to steal its internet for its own personal gain.
And it works!
They always say that, "if it works, it isn't stupid," but this is still stupid.
It was such a pain to get working. It's almost as if computers don't usually steal WiFi from a laptop running a different Windows version. It took quite a while of trying to setup networks on the PC and allowing it to take WiFi on the laptop. But, eventually, it connected.
Firefox no longer works with Windows 7, but thankfully I have an old version of Firefox from 2022 laying around and it works.
The experience was... not fast. It's almost like it's siphoning internet from a laptop through garbage nonsense and trying to render it with a Core 2 Duo and 5GB of DDR2-800 RAM. But hey, it worked! It was stupid, but it worked! Surprisingly, it wasn't the worst online experience I've ever had. Have you tried to use the internet on a 2DS or Wii U? No, of course you haven't! And if you have, shut up.
ok thats all thanks for coming to my me talk

what the infinity nikki beta has done to me: a saga
> restarted my pc a couple times (duh)
> contacted customer support (pear-pal when i get you pear-pal…)
> moved my setup downstairs (it’s half my weight)
> still doesn’t work
> issue with my wifi?
> take pc to my friend’s house and try launching infinity there
> still doesn’t work. take pc home
> monitors aren’t working when i set it back up
> reinstall my gpu and monitors still don’t work
> test gpu in another pc. it works fine
> spend 2 hours troubleshooting with multiple displayport and hdmi cables
> apparently i’ve been plugging my monitors into the motherboard
> how the fuck have they been working before this
> side questing at this point
> pear-pal tells me it’s a network issue
> ok
> order an ethernet cable
> doesn’t arrive for 3 days
> fuck i should’ve bought prime
> arrived
> my $1.8k pc is just ass at wifi connection
> i have less than a day to play the beta that’s been out for a week

hi! i need your advice. im trying to start seriously playing tekken, but i live in student housing and they absolutely WILL NOT let us have wired internet connections. all i have is a wifi access point affixed to my ceiling and a sad sinking feeling. what should i do? (other than cry about it like i already am)
are you playing on pc or console? if there’s ethernet jacks in public buildings just take your setup there, or bring it to random tournaments. your university probably has a shitty smash bros club
are there any other people there who play? ask them to play. learn offline lol
how seriously are you learning it? it’ll probably be a long time before you’re at a level where you’re severely hamstrung by your internet
unironically, wifi will be fine if you’re close to your router, sorry, if you want online practice that’s what you’re going to get. there are GoD players who are wifi only you’re not dead in the water.

a list of fun things about my fuckass pc
-duct tape was applied to the inside of the case at some point during the building process and I still don't know why
-I'm pretty sure my gpu is from the scp foundation
Tumblr media
-Because my old monitor uses a different kind of cable than my gpu, I have to use an old TV set as a monitor. This does come with some advantages, mainly the fact it's funny and has built in speakers, it also has a kinda poor resolution when close up, it genuinely hurts my eyes to use in in the dark, and I need to use a TV remote to turn it on or off (also it retains its ability to search for channels and doing so will result in me needing to unplug the monitor)
-Just before I woke up this morning, the gpu decided to just straight up stop working because it "required further installation" while both the computer was shut down and the power was off so I'm pretty sure it's sentient, but restarting the computer fixed it so it's probably fine
-the wifi antenna that came with one of the parts, either the case or the motherboard iirc, just straight up does not work (that or we couldn't get it to work) but using the shitty tplink USB thing I got like four years ago does.
-speaking of the wifi, I get a better connection if i put my antenna on the ground just outside my closet. I dont even know for this one.
-when we started it up for the first time it just didn't turn on except for the fans on the liquid cooler system. I dont know how this issue got fixed, as far as I understand it basically just started working completely fine after like a day
-it has about nine fans total and yet the only times it made any significant noise are when I boot it up and when I tried running rain world while my gpu was up to funny buisness. (Also this might be completely normal but also the fans in the case need a SATA cable, which I was under the impression was for like hard drives but maybe not)
-the current setup for sound is a device that plugs into a USB then I put my earbuds into the headphone jack on it, as opposed to using the headphone jack on the computer. Probably normal but convoluted.
There's probably more but this is everything I could think of atm

i think the reason remembering aa6 came out 8 years ago. or like. that i first played p4g 11 years ago. hurts me so much is bc i still remember my initial reactions fairly well. like i remember sitting on the couch the night of my birthday 2013 and booting up my brand new ps vita and starting this new jrpg i knew nothing about. or in 2016 when i had to setup this elaborate hotspot from my pc to download aa6 the morning it released bc i was in a uni dorm and my 3ds couldn't access the wifi. and it feels so recent bc i remember it so well but it was almost a decade ago like HUH
