I've always been a little upset with Ben for "Did I Mention" because of what he did to Audrey so here's a little something I cooked up to let my frustrations out.

Ben barely had time to react before Chad’s fist collided with his jaw. Pain exploded across his face as he stumbled backward, gripping his cheek. “Ah, shit! What the fuck?” He looked up, eyes wide with shock, as Chad loomed over him, his face contorted with rage. “Why the fuck did you do that?” Chad seethed, his breath heavy, fists still clenched at his sides. “Do what?” Ben asked, his mind still foggy, heart racing. Chad scoffed, shaking his head before stepping closer. “Ask Mal out in front of the entire fucking school while you're still dating Audrey.” Ben felt his stomach twist. He swallowed hard but said nothing. “Oh, so now you don’t have anything to say?” Chad let out a bitter laugh, then grabbed Ben by the collar of his jacket, yanking him forward. “Give me one fucking reason why I shouldn’t beat your ass right now.” Ben struggled against Chad’s grip. “Look, Chad, you don’t understand—” “Understand what?” Chad cut him off, shoving him back with a force that sent Ben stumbling. “That you publicly asked out a girl while you’re dating someone else? That you dedicated your winning shot to a girl you barely know over your own girlfriend? THAT YOU DID AN ENTIRE SONG AND DANCE AND CONFESSED YOUR LOVE FOR HER WHILE YOUR GIRLFRIEND WATCHED IT HAPPEN?” Chad’s voice cracked with frustration. “No, Ben. I understand exactly how much of a dick you actually are.” Ben opened his mouth, but Chad wasn’t finished. “Did you know that she thought you were going to propose to her?” Ben froze. His heartbeat pounded in his ears. “...What?” “Audrey.” Chad’s voice dropped to a whisper, but the anger didn’t fade. “She thought you were going to propose when you won and took the mic from the announcer. She thought—” His voice wavered, but then he clenched his jaw and stepped forward again, jabbing a finger into Ben’s chest. “And then you—you—YOU FUCKING BROKE HER HEART! IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE FUCKING SCHOOL AND THE ENTIRE FUCKING KINGDOM!” Ben felt like the wind had been knocked out of him. He stumbled back against the wall, running a shaky hand through his hair. His head felt foggy, thoughts jumbled, like something wasn’t right, but he couldn’t place it. Chad let out a sharp breath and ran a hand through his own perfectly styled hair, messing it up slightly. His voice was even quieter now, but no less raw. “Look at me, Benjamin.” Ben did. “I accepted my fate of never having her,” Chad admitted, his voice strained. “Because I knew she was happy with you. I knew how happy you both were. So I accepted it. I stayed and watched my best friend and the girl of my dreams live their fairytale.” He clenched his fists at his sides. “But then you messed it all up.” Ben swallowed thickly. “Look, Chad—” “No, Florian, I’m still talking.” Chad’s voice was cold, final. “It would’ve been better if you broke up with her first. It would’ve been way better. But no, you didn’t. And now Audrey’s heart is broken in the worst possible way.”

ok i’ve seen a few people ask me to actually go on a long Ramble about how weird Coiny was this past episode and now I’m considering making like, a video essay about it. Like a “professional” one with a talk PNG of my object sona and actual clips and stuff. This is definitely something I could actually pull off.

Only issue is that I don’t have a proper mic and would have to use my headphones mic for my phone but that’s okay I think.

Long wordy post again oh no (I don't have a sketchbook, okay)

So basically this is just to uh.. explain how I view Roger? A lot of people will probably disagree with me and like.. I get it. It's a strech from an actual book representation and such. A lot of my ideas are, and I need to re read the book so I get a better understanding. (Also sorry for bad gramrr and spelling errors and such. It's late and I spent like an hour on Duolingo so my Brian is thinking more in foreign languagess rather than English)

Anywho, my thought was like.. Roger doesn't nessicarly need to be cold and such. Yes he's described as a shady kid whom know body notices, but like, that doesn't mean that he's nessicarly emo. Y'know? I personally think that the reason why Roger is a sociopath borderline psychopath is because that's just his brain. Like it's that occasion where that part of the brain that feels sympathy and empathy didn't develop correctly for Roger, and that's why he is the way he is. Like, he knows what he does is bad and all, and he can slightly control it. But, overall, he just doesn't care. But, this doesn't neeissicarlky exclude the fact that he can be kind of caring, right? Perhaps he has a strange way of showing it, but there's a few people I hiss life that be does care for. Find torrlible. Like maybe his way of showing that he wants to befriend someone is just giving them a rock or writing a detail essay on like.. the physiological side effects of cannibalism or something. Whatever Roger would do. And also, keeping the fact that he's basically the quiet kid an d doesn't talk to anybody. He like.. only knows people if their a friend of Jack's or something.

So, that's all I'm saying. I know it's far out from the book and literally nothing like this is proven in it, but then again, the book is about the harm of mass thinking and all, I don't think William golding was too concerned about fully developing a little furtive boy whose basically a side character and only says like seven sentences in the whole entire book. (Directly, there's a few that is emplied)
