your rooster headed boyfriend walked into your room, clad in nothing but those red shorts you got him last week. you immediately closed your camera, and the chat went wild. of course you were the highlight of your streams, your audience loved you–but they loved seeing your boyfriend more sometimes, especially when he was provoking and teasing you, such as now.

"ooh, what could they be doing rn?"

"SELL ME HIS JERSEY !!!"

kuroo chuckled as he saw the flurry of messages by the corner of your screen, with you all flustered as you tried to muster an excuse as to why you were wearing his jersey from high school. he loved hearing you try to tell him in such futile little whimpers and mewls as he kissed your neck and caressed your waist that you were busy streaming, that you'd give his jersey back later–but he knew you'd soon forget when later will be. and besides, it'd be more fun to give your audience a show, right? you're liking this anyway, your facial expressions and body language are giving you away.

"mmm... fine, keep the jersey for a bit–but just remember, after this stream... you're all mine for tonight. the jersey looks amazing on you, but you're drop dead gorgeous when you've got nothing...– nevermind, we'll talk later, dearest. your chat's going crazy, better not let them wait, hmm?"

your eyes widened as sugawara knocked on your door and came in with a wide smile on his face. he didn't realize you were streaming today, he was just so excited to show you what his star students made for him to show their appreciation for him. sugawara always came off as quite motherly, he was always so down-to-earth and sweet–and your audience always loved it whenever sugamama, as they called him, came over and blessed the chat with his wonderful energy.

sugawara's face got flushed when he saw that you were streaming right then and there, you didn't need to tell him you were streaming for him to get the point. he chuckled awkwardly and smiled, apologizing softly as you told him it was okay, he wasn't interrupting.

the chat loved seeing sugawara embarrassed, your chat was flooded with your fans losing it over him. you asked sugawara if you both could look at the drawings over the stream, and sugawara agreed. he showed the pictures his students drew for him (keeping the students' identities secret, of course) and you swore you could see his face brighten up a thousand times as he went on and on about his students.

your chat was not opposed to the idea of watching sugawara stream his lectures online, even if he was only training to be a teacher and only taught elementary students, they'd all flock to see content of you two together.

you nearly jumped out of your computer chair when osamu came by, with a plateful of your favorite food for dinner. he understood that your job had quite hectic schedules, and he supports you wholeheartedly; though he does wish you won't forget to feed yourself and take a break every now and then.

you tried to whisper to him that you were currently streaming, but he didn't see that as a reason not to eat. 𓇻 its probably one of his biggest passions. though i do see him dabbling in commentary, or even review type videos. maybe he’s a bit of a collector as well and goes on hour long rants about rare items or hauls of what he purchased over the years.

𓇻 i see the both of you probably meeting at one of those second-hand game and film stores.

𓇻 maybe you’re just milling around. more content to browse the movies than the games because you only own an old console (something cute like a nintendo DS) but they don’t really sell the game cards commercially anymore

𓇻 definitely the “in a relationship but it’s private” sort of photos would slowly creep their way onto his IG posts. maybe of little date nights— candles on the table with a dinner you’d cooked together (2 glasses, 2 plates and 2 sets of cutlery), or your favorite cake he’d tried to bake himself with the lego flowers he’d spent the previous evening trying to make (because at least you could look at the lego ones forever and they wouldn’t die). or maybe even your hand snuck in a photo or simply your silhouette beneath a sunset.

𓇻 maybe a few of your own collectible items had made their way onto the shelf in his studio. an obvious beanbag in the corner (you’d often sit there and read as he went through emails or scripted videos). valentines cards that he’d never thought to take down, or posters of yours that never exactly fit in the bedroom

𓇻 it would become apparent that he was in a long-term relationship when he’d film a moving video. so much of your stuff mingled with his own, split seconds of the shared rooms he’d add to the video before showing his audience his new office space. the extra shoes and cute little additions to his home; soft cushions on the couch, ceramics you’d begged him to buy. your hoard of plushies that took up half the bed or the stupid amount of skin care products stacked up in the bathroom. all a sure way of telling his fans that he was serious about you, even if they had no idea of your name or face

Business Guide:

How to get started

When you have a business name in mind look up the domain name to see if it’s taken. You don’t want to spend money on an LLC just to find out that your name is taken. Thats a waste of money because you also have to pay to dissolve it.

If the name is not taken, great, don’t file an LLC yet. Go online and get a virtual business address. Why? If you’re running your business out of your home like I am, just know that it’s public information if you use your address to file your LLC. A virtual address should cost like $10-$20 a month. Use that to file your LLC.

Once you’ve filed that LLC get your Ein. That’s your Employee Identification Number. It’s your businesses tax id. It’s free to file on the IRS website. Don’t fall for the scam websites you guys.

Once you’ve gotten your EIN go to Google domains and get your website name aswell as 3-4 emails. An email for your social media accounts, an executive email for yourself, an ecomm@businessname.com for things like your business bank account, Shopify account, etc; and maybe a customer support email. I use the social email as a customer support email. All of this should be like $50/month.

Once you’ve don’t that get on Canva and make that logo bookie. Personally I paid someone on Fiverr to make mine because I’m a “soft business life” kind of girl and I’d rather pay the professionals. Thats just me though.

Once you’ve got your logo go ahead and get them social media accounts going. Instagram, tiktok, Facebook.

Alright now this is where it gets specific to clothing brands because that’s what I own.

Time to find a manufacturer. Head over to alibaba and search what kind of product you want to sell. Be sure to add “oem” if you want a manufacturer that customizes. Look for the amount of orders they’ve gotten on that product. If it says zero orders that’s ok. Some styles are new and thus haven’t been ordered yet. Check any reviews they have for other products. Also check the total revenue they’ve done. It’s on the store profile. I can’t tell you what the sweet spot is yet bc I’ve only used one manufacturer so far but I’d look for mid six figures and up if you wanna be real safe.

Chat with them and order a sample. Even if you buy from a vendor list you’ll need your own sample to make content with. I suggest buying one and first. It’s worth the wait because if you buy multiple and end up not liking them you’d have wasted money that could’ve gone into testing a different manufacturer.

Do not launch with more than 2 products. Even 2 is a stretch, wallai start with one.

This is because if you’re doing the preorder, which I suggest, you’ll be depending on customer orders to pay for the bulk order. Manufacturers do their moq by color or style. If you have too many options in your website and customers order a mix of things, you better pray you have enough money to cover the bulk for all those different styles. Stay safe and give them 1-2 options to choose from.

Pre order method is great if you don’t have a lot of cash to start with because the orders pay for themselves. Bulk orders start to wrack up. Especially if it’s a custom style or material. You don’t want to break the bank for something that might not sell.

Once you’ve gotten and approved your samples choose a launch date. 2-3 weeks before that launch dates post consistently. At least once a day but remember quality over quantity. Now don’t be tricked. Quality doesn’t mean a full cinematography. It means connecting with your audience and relating with them to a point where they’re like “this business gets it”. Either that or attaching yourself to an identity they want to have. “It girl ig influencer”, “feminine soft life babe” “clean girl Pilates princess” whatever the fuck it is embody ur as best as you can. When customers attach your product with an identity that is aspirational to them they will buy it without rationalizing. It’s why the luxury market makes so much off of ppl who can’t afford to buy it twice.

Focus on the backend

If you have a goal of getting an influx of orders and making a lot of sales, be sure that your business is structured in a way that can handle it happening at any given time. You know those tiktok businesses that get one viral video and sell out over night? That could be you but if you’re not prepared ppl are going to be upset. I suggest working backwards:

A customer service platform/inbox so that you can answer them right away with frequently asked questions.

Have stock so that you have something for customers to buy once they finally land on your website.

Have a well presenting website so that ppl don’t think you’re a scam. I’m going to do a post on this bc some of these business websites drive me fuckin nuts. Color theory ppl, color theory.

A social media page with some kind of social proof ie reviews from customers in some way shape or form. Ppl are going to be looking for what others have to say about your brand. Hire UGC creators to make videos that you can post on your page. They’re cheaper than influencers but still know how to convey the message well. You’ll have to have extra samples and items on hand to send them. Also check out their usage rights. Some will allow you to use their videos in ads but you have to pay extra and it’s only for a certain amount of time. But if they do it right, you’ll get a great return. Scared money don’t make no money.

A social media page that shows the products in movement and different lighting. I need to be able to imagine myself in the item before I buy it. Where would I wear it, how will it fit on me. Even when I’ve already ordered something I stay going back to the businesses social media page just to see the clothes again. I might even search it up to see other ppl wearing it.

Packaging

No need to go crazy with the packaging in the beginning. Don’t get me wrong, branding is important but as a beginner you may not have the money for that yet. You need to focus on spending money on what will give you the best return. Just get regular poly mailers from Amazon in your brand colors. You’ll also need:

A stack of 6x4 shipping labels

A thermal printer

A scale

When your manufacturer sends you the clothes they will most likely be in their own little bags. If not you can get those from Amazon too.

Later on you can go to alibaba and find a manufacturer to print you custom poly mailers for that extra edge. Put your logo, a cute message, and your social media handles on the bag and that’s it. Good to go.

You can also design your own thank you cards as well. I won’t be doing that.

Little things to remember

Don’t feel like you have to keep up with big brands. You don’t need to launch something every two weeks. As a matter of fact I advise against emulating super fast fashion brands. I only launch a new item once the pre ordered items have been shipped out to customers.

Be nice to your customers. You’d think this was obvious but it’s not. Some ppl are rude, ghetto, and uncouth. If you hate authority and have a smart mouth I think you should either take a customer service course or hire a virtual assistant from the Philippines to do your customer service for you because no customers = no money.

Influencers

Not every influencer with a mass follower base is going to be your influencer. It’s possible that you pay $5000 for an influencer with 75k followers to post your product on her page but that post makes you less than $3k. That means you’ve net negative $2k. What a fuckin waste of money.

This is why it’s important to develop a persona for your brand. What is your brand identity? Who is your target audience? What are their psychographics?

Where do currently shop? What are there favorite social media apps?What is their race? Their age? Their ethnicity? Are they in college or highschool? Do they have parents that support their lifestyle or are they hustlers? Are they concerned about price or quality more? Are they married? Do they have children? Are they environmentally conscious?

You need to embody Joe Goldberg and peer at them through their window. Acquaint yourself with every part of their life.

Also, you might not be your target demographic yet and that’s ok. The girls that shop with my brand have social lives. They go out with their friends and need outfits to wear. I don’t have a social life. The only clothes I wear are my work clothes to go to work and my robe when I’m at home.Or a sweat set and a bonnet to run errands.

Don’t think to yourself “ I would never wear that.” “I would never buy something at that price point”. That’s fine cuz someone else will. A lot of people will.

Another thing is your demographic could change once you start your business. It might be that you create content that attracts a different type of person than what you originally planned and that’s cool too. We don’t live in a perfect world. As long as they’re close enough to what you had predetermined it’s ok. Sometimes our business comes out different than we hoped but it’s just as good if not better. It’s like child. Don’t destroy its greatness trying to turn it into something it doesn’t want to be.

User generated content

Love, love, love her down. She’s that sweet spot between making content yourself and having an influencer with a large following make the content for you. UGC is a form of social proof which is something you need for an e-commerce brand especially. Ppl can’t just pop into your store and try on your stuff so they need the opinions of “regular” people to sell them on it. They want to see that person try it on, do a close up of the fabric, wear it to a social setting, etc;

What I like about UGC is that I can pick someone who fits into my brand persona to represent my brand even if I don’t. Someone that appears aspirational but still relatable. Like I said previously, you yourself might not embody your brands persona but you can pay someone who does.

A little translate for yall: I do not live in a nice apartment. My room is small, and dark, and filled with boxes. My living room has mix matched decor and I myself am not the body type I’d like to be (pls don’t hit me with body positivity babe). What I can do is pay a girl with the opposite of all those things and knows how to sell a product.

I have a girl right now that I’ve inquired to make posts for me and she’s got it all. Her rate for one video is $100 with an extra $30 for 90 days of usage in ads. $100 is the new 50 and for the return I’ll get on her, THATS A STEAL.

If you need to find a UGC creator search it up on tiktok and Twitter. Most of them have a portfolio of past work they’ve done. If you feel like they match your brands vibes, keep their info for when you’re ready.

I suggest to have a roster of them because if ppl keep seeing the same person over and over, the thought that that person is just a regular degular customer leaves their mind and you lose the magic of UGC.

Website

Your website is your home babe and when you’re preparing for guest you can’t have your home looking any type of way. Not only does it need to be clean but it needs to be cohesive and inviting.

You know how many times I’ve opened someone’s booking page on Instagram and I click off. Not only am I not reading through all of that small ass text but my head hurts cuz you’ve got a black font on a hot pink background.

Some of yalls websites to not comply with accessibility guidelines so pay attention to that bc you can be sued. Ppl should be able to read what you have on there without getting a headache.

Good rule of thumb is to have one primary color, and then black and white. Don’t over complicate it. Your primary color will be your logo, think twitters blue, then your secondary colors should be black and white, for your text. You might have an accent color like gold or silver, this should be used sparingly for a little dazzle.

If you’re a clothing brand like me, keep the text short and sweet. Think about it, when you go shopping on your favorite website are you bombarded with a soliloquy on how the collection came to be? And even if you are do you stop and read the whole thing? I don’t bc I don’t care. That’s what your Instagram story is for.

All I want to see is the attention grabber and a short,but convincing, tagline.

Example: Ski Resort 2023-“Stun the slopes and stand out on the ski lift with best sellers spotted at St. Moritz”

Let you images tell the rest of the story.

Don’t overwhelm them with options

Guys this is so important. The more options ppl see the less they buy or the less likely they are to buy. Why? This is the thought process.

“Omg the stuff on this website is so cute! Let me go through their catalog and add to my cart as I go”

Obviously this also depends on the customers budget. Some people have the money to just buy everything in their cart (I wish- one day), but most are just window shopper you hope to convert with your nice styles, images, and prices. Don’t make it harder for people to give you their money.

Distros! Distros! Distro!

What are they, why are they integral to punk, and why I love them

1. What is a "distro"? A in the punk scene (although not exclusive to punk) is a store/seller that distributes merch and or jewelry whether official or bootleg. They can be both done my a physical shop/seller or more now a days a online store front. Often time a distro makes there own products but some will sell office merch or will act as a hub for the artists items or sell general items ie, studs, laces, non band shirts, etc

2. Why I think there good, first it's good to support non music artists in the scene. They make are gear, shirt, tapes, and big bags of studs, they are a big help to people who can't diy certain items, bands to sell merch, and artists to make a life of there art, and its just a great way to get shit you like. Diy or die and all that but we'd all be hypocrites if we said we'd never bought a band shirt, or a bag of studs or a pin. Plus the quality and craftsmanship ship of these item is much more professional as these people specialize and have heavy duty equipment for there products

3. But where do I look? First (if you live near a major city) look around your scene and see if there are ones near you, support your local scene first if you can.

If not there look online as there are many online. I find it best to look on ig/Facebook/Twitter as many have a social media, then look through recommends, mentions in there posts, other shops they follow, and the such.

Next try etsy, there's a large amount of them on etsy as it's a great hub for distros, look up for specific band or items like "black flag patch" or "cone stud belt" and look for one you like a check out the shop for stuff you might also like.

It just a thing you need to set aside some time and you will learn some

i don’t have a name for it yet but it’s a “sales call center au” (ive worked at both a call center and have done my fair share of phone sales so more of this au hinges on my experience from phone sales lol) and basically cole gets hired by some company (overwatch ig) to sell services over the phone. his easy humor, smooth voice, and non pressuring vibes have led to numerous sales so someone (idk who yet) asks him to pursue the toughest nut to crack: hanzo’s company—shimada whatever. no one has been ever able to get past the gatekeeping front desk staff let alone talk to the ceo. so cole does some digging and manages to get the ceo’s (hanzo’s) personal number. he leaves a few messages which hanzo ignores, but cole isn’t one to leave this shit hanging. finally one day hanzo picks up and is all Will you Quit Calling. and cole is like okay one growl at me more daddy what—but he’s like sugar gimme a second of your time but hanzo hangs up on him.

now at the company i worked for (and any phone sales company) getting hung up on didn’t mean don’t pursue; in fact they said hey keep trying until you get a good convo and a formal no then push them out for a few months and come back (basically pester them to death you know businesses gotta business LMAO). the only exception is obviously dnc lists and whatnot. so cole keeps calling. and more and more he and hanzo start to actually talk. it’s pretty flirty from jump and their talks get longer and longer to the point that they don’t even talk about sales or any of that shit just about each other. cassidy “takes work home” a night or two on his personal cell (and they have phone sex cough). and then eventually hanzo’s like alright tell me about this product of yours so i don’t make your superiors think i’m wasting your time. cassidy does the full pitch, hanzo actually considers it because he’s built up so much rapport with cole and it WOULD be beneficial for the business… so he’s just like cole i will consider your proposal and partnering with your company on one condition… and cole’s just anything sugar name your price. SO hanzo’s like i do not do online payments. i will only provide you a check… in person. and i will only sign if you are physically in my office. CLEARLY he’s saying “cole i need you in my bed and i’m willing to make this fucking happen” and cole knows but obviously it’s a recorded line when he’s in the office so he’s like hon lemme put you on hold. goes to talk to his boss and reyes (ig who is his boss i haven’t thought much about the company structure yet) is like: boy, if you get the shimada’s to sign i will promote you the second you come back WITH bonuses. and cole explains how hanzo will only sign if he goes in person and reyes is like i’ll book the flight for tomorrow LMAO. so cole goes back to his phone to talk to hanzo and said can i count on you to pick me up at the airport? and he can hear hanzo smiling over the line and HUEHUEHUE

yeah anyway when he gets to hanzo’s city they see each other in person they’re so fucking horny, they go to hanzo’s penthouse and fuck nasty style and then the next day hanzo goes over all the terms, signs the check and huzzah business partners lol. they probably get married in the future too LMAO

Would you be able to share more about the issue with Zee and Saint? I have never heard about this before and I really thought they had great chemistry. O.o

You’re right, they had great chemistry. Zee was a fan of Saint long before he ever started acting and credited Saint for helping him learn the ropes and really bringing his acting skill up to a professional level while they worked together on Why R U? They had a great behind the scenes friendship and often showed up to support one another at events, Zee even surprised Saint on his birthday with a cake and gifts at a fan meet before the pair went out for dinner together. Zee waited until 11:59pm to tweet out his birthday message to his ‘Nong Bunny’ because he wanted to be the last one that got to say it to Saint before the day ended, so clearly their friendship was great.

Then the downfall started, Saint playfully joked in a couple interviews about Zee falling asleep during a photoshoot they were doing, which was honestly a sweet story about a poor overworked guy, but Zee’s management did not take kindly to it and according to bts sources, started to treat Saint coldly because they thought he was trying to paint Zee in an unprofessional light. Considering Saint’s history with being treated like shit by his acting partners management team (ie: Perth’s manager claiming the only reason Saint was so being offered so many roles after LBC aired was because he was being ‘offered’ up to powerful men in the industry by his management team) Saint and his management team did not take kindly to Zee’s team trying to drag him, they weren’t going to let it get to the level of scandal that had happened with Perth.

Just a note: Perth’s manager rescinded his claims and apologized on his IG for claiming that Saint - who was still just a teenager at the time - was selling his body for roles, which there was never any proof of him doing. And even if he had been some sort of sex worker, that would’ve been no one’s business but his own to begin with. 

Back to Zee, because of this, Saint pulled back slightly and was less chatty about Zee. Although a lot of Zee’s fans saw this as Saint attacking Zee and his work ethic, so they started harassing Saint online which again just caused Saint to step back further. Then a pretty damning 2017 video of Zee harassing women on the street as part of a hidden camera DMD segment surfaced where he asked them if he could ‘milk’ them, leaving people pretty disgusted. Zee and his people tried to do damage control and put out a statement about how wrong it was that he had taken part and that he’d grown as a person, etc. By that point Saint had pretty much stopped all public communication with Zee for not only his own mental health but also to keep his career as far away from that misogyny as possible. Whenever asked about their relationship, both claim nothing is wrong and that they were friends and everything is fine behind the scenes. Although Zee’s lack of attendance at Saint’s graduation did not go unnoticed, as he had many of his Why R U costars and Idol Factory actors there with him to congratulate him.

They did a couple more meets together, although they were distant and there is no fanservice at all. They are very professional and kind, but the comfort they once had with each other was clearly lacking. To this day, Saint will often get asked about both Perth and Zee. He and Perth are still very good friends, because it was neither of them that started the issue back during the LBC era, instead it was Perth’s then manager. They both talk often, according to them. Whereas when asked about Zee, Saint gives a generic answer of how Zee is a busy man, talented and of course he and Zee get along. Although it seems as if they haven’t had any actual one on one contact in quite a few years, and any time Zee is asked about Saint he tends to change the subject pretty quickly.

Considering Zee is the older of the two, I was shocked at how badly he handled everything at the time. Saint was hardly perfect, he vague tweeted a few times and did pout a bit, but he was still barely in his twenties at the time while Zee was already in his mid/late twenties and should’ve handled the hurt feelings of a kid better than he did. I like Zee as an actor, but as a person, he seems sort of smug and self important. Which makes me worry about Nunew’s future with their ship, because he’s so much younger than Zee, I hate to think of yet another kid getting crushed under his boot as a stepping stone for bigger and better things.

Honestly, the company looks abandoned, it's like it's going bankrupt and the question I have is who runs the company ? Because normally if it's Jess the confounder who manages half of Ice Studio, she should be there and I don't see her in any photos, it's all weird.

This is a "sample sale" the problem is that there are different reasons to have a sample sale and we don't know which one they are having it for.

It's also not a "company" as much as they rented a space for 2 days to have this sale. The building that it's in (I looked it up) rents spaces like this for artists and stuff. Ice Studios as a storefront doesn't exist and never has it's always just been online. Until recently, since their online shop has been closed for a little over two months at this point.

If we look at what a sample sale is there are a few different answers.

It's used by retailers to get rid of overstock (extra inventory that didn't sell for whatever reason)

Sometimes it's used to get samples of merchandise to retailers who may want to stock that merchandise (though I guess the general public is also allowed to attend)

Sometimes the merchandise is defective but not bad enough not to sell so you can get "huge brand names for the fraction of the real price"

Ultimately we don't know why they are doing this. Is it to get rid of the inventory they had left over? Is it to attract vendors to get them to put in huge orders to sell more in retail shops? Who knows. Especially since it seems like every person who has shown up is just a random friend of Renell's and no one else is remotely interested.

Every single shot of this place is abandoned. No people in the background or anything. You also see almost no merch on racks, a few shirts on some tables and that's it. If I were a vendor or even just a random fashionista in NYC and I saw any of these photos, what would make me think this was so cool that I had to attend and check out the merch? Even that skirt that she's wearing looks lopsided and poorly made.

This Digi-Camo thing they sell for way too much money looks like it's made out of extremely cheap fabric with an even cheaper print. It doesn't look comfortable or cool it looks stiff and awful. Who is this attracting other than people Renell probably paid to come there? Are they really selling anything? Probably (once again) no. More than likely they are giving away stuff to the people who are invited to make it look like they are selling things but so far every one that Renell has posted/reposted she knows (and follows on IG).

As to where Jess is, who the hell knows. She's supposed to own half of this right? Does she not care enough to even try to promote the sale? She promoted Complexcon when that happened even though she didn't go. Not that she even had an excuse to not go because it was right by her house in Cali. She doesn't have an excuse to miss this either since she owns half of it and we know she's not doing anything better with her time. She is very fond of reposting anything Renell ever posts but she somehow couldn't repost a promotional thing for her own business?

It makes me wonder if this sale is with the intent to sell out the rest of everything they have, cut Jess out of the business entirely, and then rebrand or declare bankruptcy to get rid of her. There was no reason to rent out a gigantic space for a tiny amount of merchandise. There is nothing about the way this is presented that makes it look appealing. Jess is supposed to be this expert in marketing but with her own company, she can't help them do a better job than this? Are they proud of how this looks? Do people think this is cool? Obviously not since no one is there. I don't know what the purpose of any of this is other than some level of scam or a tax write off because none of it makes sense. Especially Jess's sudden lack of involvement even though she spent a few months promoting Ice like her life depended on it.

Starting this because I need to remember how it is to exist off of meds.

Alright so I've been off of my medication (Sertreline Zoloft) for 6 months now. I initially got off of it because of the sexual side effects and because the constant brain zaps were not worth it.

After getting of of Zoloft the brain zaps have stopped but I've had crippling anxiety and lost most of my connections with my friends because of it, 3 months unmedicated i started going its these weird zone-out bouts where i feel like im playing myself in a video game and nothing's real. I'm also very very paranoid but I was like that when I was on meds too

Anyway, obviously ik i'm not supposed to be off meds because its miserable so I've been trying to get an appointment with a psychiatrist for a very long time. I was finally able to get one after talking to my dad, I asked him what meds I should look into (He works in pharmaceutics) and he suggested Viibryd because he sells a medication called Trintillix, and Viibryd is their competitor but it has always worked from what he's seen. (He said it's because Viibryd is cheaper and works the same but I think he wants to see if the company he's competing against is selling a product that works as well as his) I spoke with the doctor and told him what was going on, he just kinda listened and offered me Viibryd because I mentioned I was looking at it.

So I start Viibryd soon and I'm very nervous. I have the pills now but looking online, the first like two days of side effects are pretty bad so I decided to take them Saturday morning so I have Saturday and Sunday to get used to them before going to work. (plus i don't wanna feel sick for my birthday tomorrow, I'm not doing anything but I'd still prefer not to feel like shit) I've researched a bit and got some testimonies, what it looks like is that the first like two weeks to a month are hell with nausea and GI issues occasionally but when you get past that its really beneficial and had overall positive results. I'm really really worried because It seems like this medication is used to treat depression and bipolar - from what I can tell I just have really bad anxiety- but I might as well try it because theirs a chance I might be normal again. What I'm most worried about is sleep paralysis and brain zaps, some people say they got those on Viibryd.

Overall I'm suuuper fucking worried and kinda paranoid about this but ig that's what I'm taking it to fix.

Happy friday Marte! I was scrolling through random feeds on IG and suddenly there was a reel preview with Harry´s baby photo and logo of our most popular and known radio so I got curious what that was and so I clicked on that reel.

There were 2 radio presenters (woman and man) guessing who is that (literally Who is this world known singer?). While the man had no idea (he guessed Robbie Williams lol), the woman quessed it right after few seconds and when they found out it´s really him, they were suprised and then the man said "Well, he looks better wearing female dresses" and something like he´s suprised Harry´s not wearing clothes for girls from very young age.

Okay, one thing is that for me it´s kinda cringe when I see literally anyone mentioning Harry in my country. Not that I´m living on Mars but as much as I am experiencing everything connected to him (and Louis and 1D) only through tumblr and IG (aka following international pages) it always gets me that people know him in my country. Second thing is that it´s exactly the same as any radio/TV/media anywhere - those people actually have no clue who Harry is under the surface and they only know how he looks like, his most known singles (and that WS is about eating p*ssy), his fashion choices or his girlfriends. And so they only comment on these topics without any deeper level of thinking. I sent that reel to my cousin who is also larrie and she´s the only person I can personally talk about him while don´t have to explain anything. And while she shared the came cringe as I did, she also had a good point writing me "Do you know what is total cringe for me when I see somebody is talking about Harry in our country? That nobody cares about anything else that his date life. Not a single other mention than who he had dated or is currently dating."

And that´s why I´m writing you - not that it´s anything new in this fandom but it still kinda get me how much sex sells and most people don´t go under the surface of who is really his, nobody cares that much about his music or stories he´s telling us. Or if there isn´t this date life mention, then it´s always his fashion choices (aka what that male presenter said) again with any deeper thinking that he might be queer coding or what inspired his outfit - lol the other day I found in my gallery printscreen from one czech online tabloid from May 2019 (back in 2019 I didn´t care about him this much as I do now) after Met Gala with title "Harry, are you hiding some secrets about your sexuality? Harry Styles came to Met Gala in sheer blouse with ruffles and high heels". And coming back to the reel topic, that´s exactly why I don´t even like to talk about him with anyone else than my cousin or other larries because nobody can appreciate him that much as we do because we are the only ones who really cares about him. And while I´m happy I´m living in this larrie bubble and don´t want to share him with people who can´t appreciate him, I´m also incredibly sad how others view him - pretty face, sex god and womanizer who wears "weird" outfits to be more interesing than he is himself.

Yeah, it gives you perspective doesn’t it! The image he's portraying to the gp is working, because they don't look further than the surface. It's sad for us who knows what's really behind the curtain, that he's not a caricature or who he shows himself to be. I mean when I look at almost every popular tweet or post or whatever it’s always the bad stuff and everyone loves the bad/negative stuff because it’s DRAMA- life is “boring” without drama that doesn’t involve you.

Personally, I kind of… dislike the community I’m in right now and I feel so much peace not logging in Twitter and just reading fanfics/draw for my other fandoms. There’s drama every single time I log in and I’m so tired- like I love the vtubers I follow but the community? I can do without them. I feel bad when I say I dislike the community because I should be grateful for the support but in all honesty… I have a low tolerance for crappy people. Instant mute/block.

As an artist I feel so burned out trying to create something everyday to keep up with what’s going on because I think my only selling point is relevancy so I’m trying so hard to be on top of things… I might lose interest in vtubers because I can’t catch streams but it’s ok! So, my silly plan about buying manga from now on (until close future) might be something like this:

I will try and give priority series that I had to stop following due to circumstances at the time. Unfortuntely, for the same reason, these series might have "out of print" volumes because they are becoming harder to get by. I would like to say I "could test my luck" online, but, lol. I don't even trust Amazon these days with this weird "false-perceptive inflation" phenomenon they are plagued with. Second hand is my probably 2nd best choice if I don't come with other "official distributor stores".

I am also debating in maybe giving up some other series because I'm not sure if I will be able to complete them at this rate. FMA, for example, is "old" at this point. I could have been able to get copies of it before 2020... and now it seems impossible. I am really betting they are considering in publishing the "Complete" edition from a few years ago, given they recently published the 20th anniversary book, but I guess time will tell.

I will try and follow the few new series that I have just started buying because I couldn't stop tempting myself to get them. Luckily, as of now, I was able to finish three series that I had on "hiatus" since 2018-ish, so, I suppose I could get the chance to start new series (I am also taking into consideration how long they are; completed options are the best).

Was thinking in probably "double dip" stuff like LoveCom or Nana, but I would probably continue them where I left them (since 2008/09!) as priority for obvious budget-ish reasons. LoveCom was recently completed, and I think in September or October? I will attempt to resume Nana, ig...?

There's plenty of stuff I wish I could be able to buy, but their popularity overwhelms me (in the whole "frick, I cannot buy these because they get out of stock pretty quick????" kind of way. So many interesting titles! They get OOS TOO quick if they even get restocked OTL), lol. And some of these are already over my budget (it's not a BAD thing, I think the printing quality SHOWS why they cost what they do... but also D:)... I just wish the publisher was able to restock quicker, OTL.

I have been thinking in those "old good days" where I could simply go to this one official-publishing's distribution store that was in the city where I lived in the late 00s, and I was overjoyed at the time because, it was "easier" to get around stuff that I only could get in places like newspaper stand and (with a strike of luck) in a department store. Sure... I could say "overjoyed" because I don't think there were other animanga-dedicated stores that could sell both manga AND official merch... and now those times seem quite far away now.

Sure, there was a monopoly of sort with manga publishing, they were far deep into debt (? probably licensing debt), and they overstocked their series like there was no tomorrow. Much of their stuff I mostly got them because they were already making discounts (half the price of what used to cost around 45-75 pesos from almost 20 years ago) until they were doing clearance sales to get rid of them.

Times surely have changed, sure. But I wish my circumstances were a little more better than... what? A few years ago... and I seriously wish they did more reprint runs or more frequent restocking (that and I seriously wish other specialized stores were closer to me than they are these days: a trip to downtown, to the closer by mall(s), or, well, right next to the most traffic-busy area of the city.
