A/N: I'm not quite sure if this counts as spoilers, but I wanted to be extra careful anyways :) I had a completely different idea leading up to actually writing this, but I'm much happier with this than the other idea! I hope you like it love! Feedback is always appreciated 💜

Your big brother was a pacifist. You'd always known, even before you knew the word for it. While others taught you violence, he was the one to take you aside, showing you other ways to deal with things. Instead of killing the bug that scared you to tears, he was the one with the cup and the slip of paper, bringing you outside to let it go. He covered your eyes when scenes in movies you weren't allowed to see until you were older came on. Distracted you when there were fights of any kind around you. He didn't have a choice. He had to keep his eyes open, and squish the bugs, and listen to all the terrible things others shouted around him, but he had a choice to protect you from it.

You were sure there was no way he could survive on his own at Kings Dominion. You were barely a year younger, begging Lin to enroll you, but he never listened. Told you patience was a virtue and if you snuck in his school again he would make sure you never walked out. That was enough to keep you out, but never away. Unlike your brother, you found killing easier. You were born to be in that school, the only thing holding you back was your age. One more year, and you could help your brother. All he'd have to do was get by that long and then you could help him. At least, he'd thought it would be that long.

You stuck aroun, helped out with assignments. You made him close eyes, hold his ears, and turn around, the way he made you when there was violence around you. Completed the assignment. He felt guilty for making you do this, that he was too much of a coward not to do it. But you assured him, promised, you never minded. You wanted to be an assassin, ridding the world of all the bad people in the world. You wouldn't be able to live with yourself if you made him do it, knowing it would go against everything he believed. It would completely ruin Willie. He spent your childhood protecting you, it was about time you returned the favor. Besides, you were just getting ahead on your education. He'd always been the one to stay up late with you doing homework, checking your math and grammar, saying how important a good education was. He couldn't argue with that logic, though it didn't help with his nerves.

You didn't enjoy the killings. Some left you shaking, searching for a hug from your brother, crying silently. Others made you wake sweating and cold from a nightmare. But, that's just what happened. His friends reassured him. And, eventually, you'd get over it, move on, rationalizing one more bad person was gone. You put up with it because you knew, no matter who it was or the way they died, Willie would feel guilty forever. He'd never be able to move on, none of it getting easier. You could live with a week or two of nightmares if it meant your brother could sleep soundly.
