Happy Mermay everyone! I've never done a Mermay piece, incredibly, so I decided to try my hand at it. I really enjoyed coloring the water a LOT! It was more complex than I thought it would be, but I think I have a technique down that I like the look of and will use again. It's Jin and Hanako, of course, having some fun amongst the waves at sunrise. It's going to be a good day!

Made this for the Hanami season! Welcome, spring! Designing this yukata was so fun! It took me a while, so it might be a bit before I design ones for the other seasons...

Heyoooo everyone! Keychains and some new prints have finally arrived!! (Stickers are still on their way but I’ll have a second post when they get here!)

Lamb and Goat now have keychains by popular demand! Erenville has been added to my Runner Keychain series for FFXIV (and of course, The Great Serpent of Ronka has a keychain as well!)

For prints, I’ve got smaller versions of The Second Breakfast Club and Cicada Invasion by overwhelmingly popular demand! I’ve also decided to restock the larger prints of Cicada Invasion as well.

Rounding this out is the print version of Sniffin Butts, and two new prints - the Jin Tarot Card and An original, experimental piece “Dead, my Deer”!

The new merch will be going up on my store within the next week, save for Cicada Invasion and “Dead, My Deer”, which will be available first at Nightmare Weekend in Chicago from May 2nd through May 4th! If you’re in town, stop by and say hello!

Just a slice of nostalgia and self indulgence. Rewatching the series again, probably for the fourth time, and it's still a gem for me. It's dated, sure, but it's got a pure heart, and I love it for that.

The Kite Festival, Part 1: Sleepless in Mushiyori

Hanako couldn't sleep. That's why she was standing outside the Mushiyori station hub at 7am. A couple hour bus ride earlier was her burden to bear, but she suffered it gladly for this chance, for a day she's looked forward to ever since she found herself in this uncanny valley of friends remade into strangers. Maybe she could have stayed overnight in Mushiyori...That would have been smart. She bites her lip, hands fidgeting at the strap of the tote slung over her shoulder, decorated with faded koi fish and old stitching. Why hadn't Hanako thought of that previously? Well, perhaps she might have if the past seven days counting down to the Hamamatsu kite festival hadn't driven her further and further into the clutches of insomnia and shaken nerves. She even thought to beg her father to knock her unconscious, if he was here, but Daigo simply would have shaken his head and offered a calming cup of chamomile tea. So, she made one herself. It was neither calming nor reduced her to unconsciousness. What rotten fortune. She sighs, shifting in place on the sidewalk, head tilted down. Hanako resorted to coffee of all things once she'd arrived at the bus terminal, pinching her nose to drink down that awful taste. Sadly, it hasn't quite kicked in yet, leaving her instead with a jittering heart. Would he come? Of course he would... If he was late, it was just because he was having trouble finding the place. Mushiyori city is rather large, after all...and she was rather early herself. Hanako looks into the crowd, weary eyes floating over the bobbing heads of passersby without settling onto any in particular. The world seems...grey, somehow. All these buildings crowding out the sunlight peeking over a horizon, somewhere...certainly not here. She blinks slowly once, then again, murmuring drowsily. The world in front of her gradually transforms. The people seem the same...but somehow, just different enough. The colors are surreal. When was the last time she was in Mushiyori city? The vision of a hospital at sunset broaches her mind, horrendous bugs filling the sky, a cackling doctor facing a teenage punk, her friend, in the hallway- She jolts up straight with a squeak, the grey buildings returning. No one so much as looks her way for the disturbance. Let's...not think about that, she reasons with herself, shoulders slowly falling again, Maybe...something more pleasant. Her hand grips the two train tickets tightly, eyelids fluttering. When a slight breeze passes over her, it brings a hint of warmth...and she smiles, remembering. There's a blue sky, impossibly blue, with clouds soft as down peppering its wide expanse. She reaches out to touch one, laughing in delight as it condensates into droplets of water on her palm. Hers is not the only laugher, as she looks up at the one who holds her in place high above the ground...What an adventure that was... A horn honks next to her as a car whizzes by, snapping her back into the grey. She shivers, pulling her ochre sweater over her chest, and sighs again. He'll come. He loves these sorts of adventures... I do, too. ...At least... the one I know, does. @askjinthewindmaster

Knowing voice actors is a fucking curse. I have only seen 19 episodes of One Piece and I've spotted 3 voices that I recognize from Yu Yu Hakusho. You know how it is listening to a sheep butler talking and just going IT'S THAT IRISH FUCKER and not being able to unhear it? This shit painful 😔✊

Another beautiful commission arrived today! Thank you so much @staerplatinum for this!! They look so sweet! I had no idea you were going to use these outfits for them, but you made them look so good in these clothes!

Listen, I know Jin is supposed to be a shinobi and Hanako is meant to be a temple worker and they have Very Official Jobs (tm), but some of my favorite things are just them getting to spend time casually together like this.

(Also they didn't have to but Staer included this adorable sketch and my heart is melting HELP!!)
