biannual Patreon plug :)
Have you ever wished all my witchcontent was somewhere without the little memes and the goofposting? Where everything is properly tagged and categorized and easy to find?
Well it is, it's on Patreon for $2/month. The Windvexer patron is at 396 posts, almost all of which are witchcontent posts and asks. (The remaining portion are weekly/monthly roundup posts that summarize content reposted during that period).
I've moved into a schedule of monthly updates, where I go through my blog and cherry-pick all the stuff I think that matters, reformat and edit as needed, and put it up on Patreon.
Reposting to the archives is the balance I'm trying to strike between keeping all of Windvexer free, while being otherwise unemployed and still required to pay my own bills.
Your support is deeply appreciated and my beloved 14 paid supporters have indeed helped me get my accounts settled at the end of the month. You all have my deepest thanks for supporting the cause.

omg omg neopet readings?? Could I have one on how my vacation might go? (any pronouns)
Yes, thanks to my new beloved Neopets Tarot! It is now one of the gold standards I have for fandom-based tarot decks because it's just so good! Anywho, you got The Star upright for this reading, Chicken!
Tumblr media
Siyana the Light Faerie kneels at a serene pool. The clouds of Faerieland are tinted by the starlight, giving the art a dreamlike quality. The stars in the sky resemble the star of a compass, symbolizing the return of direction. As Siyana kneels, she has one foot in water (Cups), a sign of emotional cleansing and healing. Her other foot is on the earth (Pentacles), symbolizing material stability and balance.
Siyana was known as the First to Rise. She was one of the twelve founders of Altador and raised an Alabriss named Ally from the time the PetPet was born.
After the trials of the Tower, the Star is a time of peace and hope. You've survived everything the world (ours? who knows) has thrown at you, and this is a time for healing as a stronger, wiser person for the next round. Just as Siyana is cleansing herself in the pool, take this time to just let your proverbial hair down and enjoy yourself before life resumes as normal.
Seems like the vacation will overall go well, Chicken! I sure hope it does, you deserve one.
~Jasper

I would love a channeled demonic reading if you are still doing them. I go by Chicken and a fun fact about me is that I recently crocheted some curtains for a chicken's house! (A real chicken, not me)
for your message, the demon that has stepped forward is...
Tumblr media
...the marquis marchosias!
the cards drawn for your reading are the seven of wands (reversed) and the tower (reversed).
something troubles you, as of right at this moment. i want you to think about what frightens you - why whatever is troubling you, is troubling you. allow it to be understood, allow it to be processed. there is something you're not allowing yourself to feel. a deep-rooted fear, that may not be obvious to you immediately. i want you to look at what you bury within yourself, and at last, confront it. because you can confront it. you can fight it. if you feel helpless in the midst of this fear, i promise you there is something you can do about it. if nothing else, give yourself an opportunity to be afraid - for you are not made of stone.

I just feel like you should know that my brain has decided for whatever reason on thinking of you as "chicken vexer." I have tried to separate your name from your url in my head, but no matter what I do, I seem to instinctively refer to you as such.
At this point, I've sort of just given up and surrendered to thinking of you as a vexer of chickens.

whats your favorite part of the airport
In airports where there are cushy benches/sofas where one can lie down, that is my favorite part. This airport insists on making me sit in a chair that is honestly probably comfortable to some people, but forces my neck into a painful position, so I hate everything about this building. It is a cold and cruel place and the spirits here long for freedom. It is a building haunted by misery.

I realize you are asking about Black Mirrors specifically here, but as someone who specializes in scrying, I feel like adding that when I moved from Catoptromancy (using a mirror) to Lecanomancy (using a basin of water), it made a big difference for me. While I did ultimately have successes using a black mirror, the results are much more palpable and apparent for me when I use water—though, using a black basin helps too.
To achieve my desired results, I fill a consecrated mirror-black vessel my husband made me with water from a spring on our property. Then, in darkness, I light the candles on my Scrying Plinth, invoke my Mantic Famulus, enter a trance state, and pour a bit of Hallowed Oil into the water. Thereafter, I observe how the shimmering oil droplets mingle and swirl in the water until I begin to see shapes and images, which I jot down in shorthand as I go. Later, I go over my notes and synthesize everything I saw into a cogent reading, based on the context of the inquiry.
It's a process that takes patience and practice, to be certain, but I have had amazing experiences with this method.
Anyone have tips/advice on black mirror scrying? I made one and consecrated it, but it just doesn’t feel like anything happens when I use it.
Maybe it’s just inexperience.

Whaaat, this g-witch thing looks fabulous! I’d love a slot! Feeling femme today I think, and I have chosen a wish 🤞🤞
Your wish number is 36! That means this wish will likely come true.
Tumblr media
Alright, so, repeating for the sake of clarity in case you return to this spread at a later date and no longer remember in the future: The inner circle represents your destiny, and the outer circle the forces affecting you and it.
Let's start with the inner circle. ⛤ There is Heart beside Scythe and above House. This means that great joy will come to you about a venture you have complete control over - But, you might still find yourself feeling a little disappointed in it for some reason or another. ⛤ Scythe beside Heart and Book. Scythe remains about disappointment, but alongside Book we can infer that you're going to learn something, perhaps about that which is making you happy, that dampens the mood a bit, sadly. ⛤ Book beside Scythe but above Sun. Book generally means something affected for the better, even with Scythe sitting beside it, and above Sun it might mean that it has something to do with a social matter. ⛤ House below Heart and above Mouse. Mouse usually means theft, but I read Mouse a little bit more loosely to be about loss of something in general. House is still a fortuitous card, especially below the influence of Heart, so while something may end, it will work out for the better. ⛤ Sun below Book and above Park. Thankfully, Park is near the Querent (that's you!) so we can expect this to be a positive card and an overall positive omen for you and your relationships. ⛤ Mouse below House and beside Order. (That first part rhymed! Anyways,) Mouse is near the Querent, which means that all loss will be quickly healed from. It being near Order, the "job recognition" card could indicate a slight financial bump in the road, but one that will be quickly mended by your ventures which will have success. ⛤ Order beside Mouse and Park. Your hard work is being recognized by those you care about, and even if things might be a bit hard for a while, you have people to take good care of you thanks to your reputation amongst them. ⛤ Park below Sun and beside Order. Park is about friendships and lovers (though I usually just read it as "interpersonal bonds" in general to account for those of us like me who are acearo), and Sun is about popularity, and Order about honor. You will have a great boon in your social life coming your way, built by your reputation and honorable actions.
Now, we get into the actions affecting you and your destiny. ⛤ Rider above Lilies and beside Ring. Rider brings good news, and Lily below brings a happy life as no Clouds are nearby. You have important relationships blessing you during this time. ⛤ Ring beside Rider and Dog. Now, Ring's text talks about left/right position, but Ring sits smack dab above you - So I'm gonna read that part as this - You have outside bonds that will help you and support you, even if things are not exactly going your way, and even if you reject that support, it will be there. ⛤ Dog beside Ring and above Tower. Dog has clouds in the card below it, and is distant, so you might have some enemies you're not aware of. Ring still, in my reading, signifies bonds you can't break out of, but I don't get the vibe this is a wholly negative card here. You just might have some people vying against you for some reason or another. ⛤ Lilies below Rider and above Clover Leaf. Lilies is far from the clouds in the Tower card, and has an up/down reading placement. To me, when to the left, Lilies represents living life in your way instead of the way others want you to. ⛤ Tower below Dog and above Lion. You might suddenly hear of these unsuspecting enemies, and it might make you feel very negatively for a while. It could also be more bluntly saying that illness will come into your life in some form soon through bad news. ⛤ Clover Leaf below Lilies and beside Birds. Clover Leaf is not near clouds so it is a positive card, but the Birds beside it worry me. Regardless, Clover Leaf still says that positive forces are working for you. ⛤ Birds beside Clover Leaf and Lion. Birds is a very negative card, saying that something awful is happening (perhaps the enemies mentioned before). Birds is far from the Querent, so we can expect the problems to come from afar instead of near. We do, however, see Book in the spread near the Querent, which means there is a good chance of avoiding the hardship entirely. ⛤ Lion below Tower and beside Birds. Repeating myself a tad here, but some bad news will happen that might affect you deeply, perhaps of the nature of said enemies mentioned before.
And that's the reading! I know the end sounds a bit down, but like I said in my main post - Mostly a negative omen deck lol. I wish you the best of luck and I get the feeling things will be okay.

Elemental Dice Oracle
Heavily inspired by Stephen Ball's Elemental Divination: A Dice Oracle, I've developed my own system of a quick and versatile dice oracle. All you need is a set of 3 six-sided dice.
The d6 numbers are associated with 6 elements as per Elemental Divination. In brief, they are:
1 - Air 2 - Fire 3 - Water 4 - Earth 5 - Sun 6 - Moon
If you enjoy this divination method, Elemental Divination is excellent supplementary reading, but you do not need to read the book as I will detail my method in full.
Note: Unlike Stephen's method, I read all three dice and infer the answer based on elemental interactions, and the elemental nature of my question. This means a "Greater X over Y" and "Lesser X over Y" oracle can exist in the same reading.
A great read on a similar concept using tarot can be found eloquently written by @windvexer in this post 😊
The elemental nature of the question:
Depending on your approach to the subject of divination, you can associate yourself and your efforts with one of these elements should they appear in the reading, or treat the question's element as a secret 4th dice.
Air: matters of the mind, learning, logic, memory, intellect, communication, travel, work relationships (acquaintances, colleagues, customers/clients), persuasion and public speaking, matters where rapid action and quick thinking is needed.
Fire: matters of desire, motivation, passion, sexuality, willpower, inspiration, and health (in terms of innate constitution and vitality), situations where might and zealousness is needed.
Water: matters of subjectivity, emotion, connection, personal/intimate relationships (partner(s), family, close friends), overseas travel, opinions and perception, dreaming, intuition, charisma.
Earth: matters of objectivity, physical health and circumstances, money and savings, long-term projects, practical skills, practical relationships (business partners, teachers, neighbours).
Sun: activity, growth, visibility, reputation, self-expression, expansion, public life - outcome is inclined to be positive and have an observable change.
Moon: passivity, stillness, self-reflection, retreating inwards, invisibility, private life - outcome is inclined to be negative or have no outward effect.
Method
Very simply, throw 3 dice and read the interactions between them, whether the interactions are auspicious, or inclined towards a certain behaviour.
The most positive outcome is a balance of elements that interact well with each other. For instance, Water, Earth and Sun is a very auspicious omen as these elements are optimal for growth and life.
Alternatively, if you have a strong desire for a certain outcome, then the appearance of an element associated with your goals may indicate how things will play out.
3 of any element strongly indicates an outcome that is based on the nature of that element. This can be positive or negative, but is usually undesirable. This is because there is nothing to balance out the activity of that element, so its activities can spin out of control.
Sometimes an element in Excess is a great omen and exactly what you want, other times it shows something is in overdrive. It all depends on the circumstances and the question asked.
Elements on a 1:1 basis are Moderate and have unique interactions with each other.
When 2 dice are the same element, this element is Greater.
When 3 dice are the same element, this element is in Excess.
An element that is Greater can match or overcome another element it is weak to, or completely diminish a weaker element.
It is up to you how you interpret elements that are Moderate, Greater or in Excess, as they can represent different omens depending on your situation.
Elemental attributes & relationships
This is a general overview of each element and how they can be interpreted in an oracle.
Air
Air is active, fast-moving, multi-directional and erratic.
Moderate Air (that is, Air in balance) allows movement and progression, it brings novel ideas and fresh experiences, it facilitates communication and understanding, enables learning and critical thinking.
Excess Air is pure thought and fantasy, plans not grounded in reality, communication that lacks empathy, empty promises and unconfirmed speculation.
Air feeds Fire, but can also drive it out of control. Hence, Air is weak to Fire, benefits Fire, but Greater Air can influence Fire.
Air balances Water, as aerated water supports life. In symbolic terms it is a balance between heart and mind. Greater Air can stir up Water, as thoughts stir up emotions, symbolising persuasive speech shaping perspectives. Whereas Greater Water indicates the strength of emotion overpowering logic and reason.
Air is weak to Earth and moves around Earth, as Earth directs Air the way a fan or musical instrument does. Air and Earth are a positive combination in the creation of music, song and speech. Greater Air can move Earth, as a tornado does, but the effects are disastrous and short-lived.
Fire
Fire is active, expansive, transformative and destructive, and is greatly influenced by the other elements.
Moderate Fire (that is, Fire in balance) brings the spark of creativity and inspiration, invigorates the will, and grants the energy and vitality to overcome challenges.
Excess Fire is inflammation, unmitigated destruction, conflict, anger without reason, passion unrequited, and burnout.
Fire depends on a balance of Air and Earth to thrive; without these, it is short-lived and diminishes over time. Just as one's motivations can be limited by external factors and one's ability to plan and strategise.
Fire feeds on Air, symbolising passion and zeal that is balanced by a clear mind. But Greater Fire becomes violent and unreasonable, lacking the rationality of Air. Contrarily, Greater Air can manipulate Fire, it can spur Fire in a different direction, but cannot mitigate Fire's destructive nature. Greater Air can also extinguish Fire, as wind blows out a candle, but this depends on the strength of Fire.
Fire feeds on Earth, indicating a goal that is achievable, but Greater Fire is unsustainable and depletes Earth's resources. Contrarily, Greater Earth smothers and extinguishes Fire.
Fire is weak to Water, but Greater Fire can influence Water, as heat turns water into steam, as passion and charisma stirs the heart's emotions.
Water
Water is passive, slow-moving, fluid, soft and mutable.
Moderate Water (that is, Water in balance) inspires connection, empathy, shared identity, culture and experiences. It cools, enables, cradles and nourishes. It softens the rough, and brings relief and growth.
Excess Water is a treacherous ocean of emotions and subjectivity, opinions and perspectives unchecked by reason, obsession and infatuation, a lack of boundaries, unhappy outcomes, and improbable goals.
Water and Air are a harmonious pair, as heart and mind are in balance. However, Greater Air can stir up Water into a storm, as persuasion and propaganda shapes one's perspective.
Water diminishes Fire and keeps it in check, but Greater Fire transforms and diminishes Water, for good or ill. Either way, they are always in conflict.
Water and Earth create life. Water nourishes Earth, and follows the paths laid out by Earth. Greater Earth restricts Water and keeps it contained. Contrarily, Greater Water erodes Earth, and turns Earth to mud, creating stagnation and difficulty.
Earth
Earth is passive, inactive, stable, unmoving and persistent.
Moderate Earth (that is, Earth in balance) indicates favourable circumstances, available resources, and long-lasting results. It defines boundaries, lends form and structure, and creates strong foundations upon which other things can be built.
Excess Earth becomes rigidity, authoritarianism, stubbornness, unnecessary sternness, and leads to stagnation, repeated errors, and fruitless results.
Earth and Air are a harmonious pair, embodying plans that are feasible and bear fruit in the real world. Greater Air can mean overthinking, or that one's ideas are hit-or-miss, with only moderate chances of success. Greater Earth indicates physical constraints, but success is still possible using clever strategy.
Earth and Water are very auspicious together, enabling growth and life. Greater Earth symbolises ground water, i.e. some effort is needed before the benefits of Water can be obtained. For instance, rules and boundaries need to be established before people can work together. Contrarily, Greater Water symbolises muddy earth which slows progress and creates stagnation.
Sun & Moon
The 4 elements of Air, Fire, Water and Earth do not affect the Sun and Moon. Rather, the 4 elements are impacted by the light of Sun or Moon.
Sun brings out the more positive, active, or extroverted qualities of the 4 elements.
Moon brings out the more negative, passive, or introverted qualities of each element. Moon can indicate a blind spot or unknown influence.
When appearing in a reading together, Sun and Moon can indicate a balance of their respective domains.
However, Moon is weak to Sun, and Greater Sun thoroughly defeats the influence of Moon.
Alternatively, Greater Moon can overcome Sun (an eclipse) and indicates inner qualities overcoming outer circumstances – this can be positive, as in the case of personal resilience overcoming external challenges. Or, it can be negative in terms of self-sabotage.
Excess Sun is where personal joy and self-expression turns into self-gratification and arrogance.
Excess Moon indicates unknown influence, delusion and deceit.
3 element oracles
We've covered 2:1 oracles and 3:0 where one element is Greater or in Excess. Here are some examples of interpretation where all three dice differ in the elements shown. As always, remember that every oracle can have multiple interpretations depending on how the question is phrased.
Water, Earth, Sun: As mentioned before, this is an excellent omen of fortune and growth. Success will come easily.
Water, Earth, Moon: Gestation. Growth is possible, but halted. Patience is advised. Wait until conditions ripen, it is a matter of time.
Air, Earth, Fire: Take action and pursue your goals ardently, you have all the resources you need for success.
Water, Earth, Fire: Success is possible, but be wary of possible conflict and difficulty.
Water, Air, Fire: Strong likelihood of conflict and disagreement. Create distance, or be prepared to be diplomatic and compromise.
Fire, Sun, Moon: You are going up against a stronger and more skilled opponent and have very low chances of success. Retreating is advised.
Fire, Sun, Air: Your opponent is stronger, but you can obtain some success if you re-think your plans and method of interaction. There is a good learning opportunity here.
Fire, Sun, Earth: Your opponent is strong, but conditions are favourable and you can hold out for now. However, plan for your current strategy to fail in the near future.
Sun, Moon, Earth: Neutral oracle, everything is as it seems. Patience is key, wait for the situation to unfold over time.
Air, Earth, Sun: Your plans are likely to bear fruit, so long as you stay focused and maintain your efforts.
Air, Earth, Moon: Your efforts and plans will have little effect, as the situation is not ripe for change. Turn inwards and work on yourself.
Air, Water, Moon: Expect a period of sadness and difficulty. Your perspective needs to adapt to the situation. More understanding and open-mindedness is needed.
Conclusion
I hope I have demonstrated just how versatile this oracle can be, and there are even more possibilities than what is written in this post. It has become my favourite method of divination, as the dice can be thrown and read quickly, while offering a precise and in-depth answer.
Please feel welcome to message me about the Elemental Dice Oracle for further discussion! Thanks for reading! 🌿

With apologies to the couple of asks currently in the inbox, I'm going to be spending the rest of today crocheting (pray for me), a task which requires regularly scheduled breaks. If you'd like to send me an ask about sorcery, witchcraft, spirit work, psychism, or divination, I would appreciate the chance to distract myself from my looming crochet deadline.

Jasper's Servitor/Thoughtform Resource Post
Tumblr media
last updated: December 23, 2024
Please note: The biggest difference between a servitor and thoughtform is the level of sentience (or perceived sentience). A servitor is not sentient, while a thoughtform is. Determine it as you will.
Also, a disclaimer! Even if I don't find a source particularly helpful, you might get more out of it than I did! I just like to categorize and sub-categorize things.
Tumblr Posts I Find Helpful
How to Make a Servitor by viadescioism: A rather straightforward guide on servitor creation.
Creating a Thoughtform by windvexer: A decently lengthy guide on thoughtform creation.
When Creating Thoughtforms by witchesalleyway: A little reminder about picking the shapes of your thoughtforms.
Technowitchcraft - Thoughtforms by aceswitch: A post with the idea of using a USB drive as the "body" of a servitor/thoughtform to allow for future edits.
Egregore by trustmepink: An extremely short post defining what an egregore is. Great for being introduced to the word and concept, though there's not much meat in the post and the sources/helpful links are a bit questionable.
Sigils: Scribbles to Forget or Spirits to Remember by witchofsouthernlight: While not about servitor creation, this is about reusing sigils for specific goals and how those can be spirits in an animist perspective. A really neat post overall and useful here because of the way that servitors are often tied to sigils.
Entity Creation Worksheet by jasper-pagan-witch: Adapted from Creating Magickal Entities, but altered to a decent extent so it's more helpful to me personally.
Servitor Design Template by ritual-and-chaos: Adapted from Servitor Magick, extremely straightforward with an explanation. A great alternative to my adaptation of the template from Creating Magickal Entities.
Chaos Magic: Servitors, Thoughtforms, and Godforms by trollkunnig: Incredibly in-depth and detailed when it comes to servitor creation, but since OP deactivated, the links in reference to the godform parts are broken. Damn the loss of information on the Internet!!!
Destroying Your Thoughtforms: by viadescioism: A fairly detailed (if a little wall-of-text-y) post on the destruction of the thoughtform, with a guide in case you didn't build a kill switch/phrase into your thoughtform to begin with.
Thoughtforms: Theory & Ethics by spiritvexer: A good companion post to the thoughtform destruction one above, giving a few alternatives to total destruction for the thoughtforms when you no longer need them.
Thoughts on Thoughtforms by spellsandwoo-woostuff: An insightful read into another approach to thoughtforms as OCs or writing muses given life rather than spells given sentience.
Basics of Servitor Creation and Implementation by majokkid: Part of majokkid's Magi Praxis series, this goes over the basic steps of servitor creation in a way that is straightforward, easy to understand, and works well even beyond magical girl-aligned practices.
Easy Ways to Charge Energyforms by windvexer: Goes over a bunch of different energy feeding and charging methods for servitors and provides resources for making this shit easier. And gods know we need to make this shit easier.
Books And Websites I Find Helpful
Condensed Chaos: An Introduction To Chaos Magic by Phil Hine: While this is a chaos magic 101 type book, it has an incredibly robust chapter on servitor/thoughtform creation. It also has the benefit of talking about chaos magic more broadly to give you more context for servitor/thoughtform creation. You can find my initial thoughts on it here. APPLICABLE PAGES: 106 to 125, under the chapter name "Chaos Servitors"
The Forty Servants, The Four Devils, and The Grimoire of The Forty Servants by Tommie Kelly: Two pre-made servitor systems that are incredibly in-depth and, in my opinion, quite fun to use. There's a little bit of plug-and-play applicable here.
Magickal Servitors: Create Your Own Spirits to Attract Pleasure, Power and Prosperity by Damon Brand: It is effective, straight to the point, and actionable. But interestingly, it's incredibly combative towards chaos magic, which is where servitor/thoughtform creation sprung up to begin with. You can find my initial thoughts about it here.
Tumblr Posts I Find Less Helpful
Creating a Servitor and Creating a Thoughtform by witchy-oates: These guides aren't bad, but they really seem to focus on the fear that a servitor will spontaneously develop sentience, which I generally disagree with.
Is Your Spirit A Thoughtform? by elysiumconjures: A lengthy questionnaire and list of red flags that an entity you're interacting with might be a thoughtform. Personally I found it frustrating to read, but the list can at least guide beginners who are still learning discernment techniques to figure out what to look for.
On Telling The Difference Between A Thoughtform And A "Real" Spirit by creature-wizard: The counter-post to the above one, though you kind of need to see both perspectives to fully appreciate creature-wizard's wonderful counterpoints.
Distinguishing Imaginary Friends, Thoughtforms, and Spirits by spiritconnect: Another post about deciphering whether what you're talking to is a thoughtform or some other kind of entity.
A Short Guide to Thoughtforms by thewitchofbucktown: Longer than it promises, and I personally don't feel like referring to all deities as thoughtforms is something that works with my understanding of things at this time, but not a bad post considering it was written 11 years ago. Plus, OP hasn't deactivated, which is really hard to find in servitor/thoughtform resources.
Servitors: A Basic Guide to Artificial Entities by tinyrosemarysparrows: While this is a very detailed guide with some interesting and unique approaches to servitor creation, the author dropping back to "destroy if it even blinks wrong" (not that much of an exaggeration) makes me hesitant to recommend it fully, hence its placement down here. The post even says you can reprogram servitors but still recommends immediate destruction for every little thing, so…it's not really how I roll.
Books And Websites I Find Less Helpful
Creating Magickal Entities: A Complete Guide to Entity Creation by David Michael Cunningham, Taylor Ellwood, and T Amanda R Wagener: I hated this book so much. Out of everything in here, I found only four things that were actionable and that I could use. Every single author here was pretentious as fuck and took forever to make their damn point. This could have been an email. You can read more of my complaints here. The three parts that I found most interesting can be read in these Tumblr posts of mine: Servitors as Links; Energy Store-House Entities (ESHEs); and Servitor Biographies.
Protection & Reversal Magick: A Witch's Defense Manual by Jason Miller: I can't fucking believe I'm putting a Jason Miller book here. And look, I can't say this entire book is helpful because I haven't yet finished it, but the section on artificial spirits created for magical offense and defense? Probably one of the best sections on servitors/thoughtforms I've read in a non-dedicated book in a while. Just be aware that his tone of speech is deeply annoying, and this book of his leans more Hekatean. But because I have not finished reading this book, I cannot recommend this book fully. APPLICABLE PAGES: 119 to 146, under the chapter name "Spirit Guardians and Servitors"
Hands-On Chaos Magic: Reality Manipulation through the Ovayki Current by Andrieh Vitimus: I hated this book. I hate this book. I will hate this book. It's deeply frustrating and there's only so many times I can keep writing "stop citing a white woman on hoodoo" in the book itself before I just start eating the pages. That, and many similar problems, are why I do not find this book helpful on the whole despite how in-depth it goes in its three chapters on servitor creation. The author also refers heavily back to Condensed Chaos by Phil Hine, so that's required reading before you even pick this up. Personally, I'm just not impressed. APPLICABLE PAGES: 287 to 339, under the chapter names "Creating Entities with Energy and Information", "Giving Form to Concepts and Ideas", and "Advanced Practicum on Entity Creation"
Jasper's Miscellaneous Bullshit
Jasper's Energyform Zine by jasper-pagan-witch: I suffered for two months to write this damn thing and by the gods I shall shill it.
Jasper's Guide To Energyforms by jasper-pagan-witch: A little glossary of how I, personally, use the terms you've seen speckled throughout this post.
The Modal Commander Servitor by jasper-pagan-witch: A Magic: The Gathering Commander format approach to creating a kickass servitor that can change and adapt as easily as swapping out cards.
Atronachs, Ash Guardians, and Quick Notes on the Less Common Atronachs on @the-college-of-whispers: Want a quick look at how Jasper from 3 years ago approached the idea of elemental Daedra as entities, both created and summoned? These three posts are for you.
@jasper-and-the-forty-servants: Remember how I was talking about the plug-and-play part of the Forty Servants above? Yeah, that's what I do over on this blog. My favorite two are, hands down, Falco Spara, Pactweaver as the Protector and Dina, Soul Steeper as the Healer.
GOFLOWOLFOG and Fotamecus: Two servitors/egregores that I and people close to me have had incredible experiences with. Hell yeah to both of them.
Mesperyian: Tumblr's very own Greek goddess egregore. An excellent study in the power of multiple people taking something and running with it. (Her original story can be found here, by the way!)

Bone readings sound lit af, how does that work?
Hey there Chicken! I should have put this on the post itself to clarify, but I have a few different options.
Firstly, I divine with a set of (oh gosh can't count right now) about 20 different bones. These either come forward as a singular spirit of the bone, or as an Archetypal spirit depending on the bone and who wishes to speak at the moment. They provide general advice or thoughts. Typically these come forward as a vision from the spirit's past that they find relevant to the reading, in addition to a "blurb" of sorts. These readings tend to be best suited for specific questions.
Secondly, I have a Caribou and a Fox spirit who prefer to do their readings individually for people. These are typically longer readings as the spirit themselves are very chatty, and include anywhere from one to three (or more!) tarot cards pulled at the spirit's request to clarify the messages. These readings tend to suited for either specific questions, or just general readings!
You can see examples of previous bone readings in my readings tag!

I think today was the first time I ever felt truly exhausted after divination. Divination has always been a part of my craft that I really love and enjoy to do, partly alone because it came to me quite easily after adapting it to my needs. I never felt particularly tired from it. But then I read a post by @windvexer about making up methods for tarot readings. I loved it and it made me realize I can literally do anything I want and decided to use my free will today.
So I spread out all of my cards and sorted them by what subgender archetype I would assign them if they lived in the omegaverse. Because I'm a bit obsessed with the omegaverse and possibly feel connected to the miscecanis-community. I assigned every card a subgender and defined the meaning and symbolism of every archetype plus three cards who didn't fit any of the three.
Then I used my new divination system to ask a few questions and it was so fucking amazing y'all. I need you to get wild with your cards. Ask yourself — if everything was allowed, how would you read your cards? Then go and do just that. The new insights I got were so different from what I usually get and I made some cool discoveries along the way. I can now use my card deck to find out people's archetype and the tendencies that define their personalities. I feel like a WITCH!
I was exhausted afterwards and wondered why, since I slept well last night (for fucking once). Then I remembered that I've heard from some people that they feel tired after practicing divination and figured that, yeah, working with your deck for two hours non-stop is probably draining 😅

A Kipper Grand Tableau reading for @windvexer. This was a special offer offered because of being friends/mutuals, 'cause I need to practice it. This is currently not offered on my shop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As a note, because the querent faces the right, so it's read left-to-right.
Kipper is also quite literal, so if this comes off more matter-of-factly than a Lenormand grand tableau, that'd be why.
⛤ ⚬ SIGNIFICATORS.
You are the Siren labeled 2, as seen in Row 1.
The significators are read in quite a few ways – First, let’s start with the row the Significator is in. This row is the most important to the Querent (That’s you!).
Occupation, Theft, Get Together, Prison, Siren, Gift, Good Gent, Deep Thoughts, Expectations.
Nearest you is the Prison and the Gift. Prison sits behind you so we can presume it's in the past, and the gift is that you're moving beyond the being stuck in place.
Occupation, theft, get together, and prison behind the querent can possibly imply moving past some difficulties with a workplace or working situation. Theft can also indicate someone being mean-spirited, which may continue to speak for the situation.
Before the querent is gift, good gent, deep thoughts, and expectation. Gift is a positive card that indicates, well, positive things - and the people on the gift card and the good gent face the querent, which imply a direct giving of something positive, even if not a literal gift. However, there are a lot of expectations during this time, and many thoughts about it going on.
Above you, we have your thoughts. But the placement of the siren is on the top row, so we get no insight into your thoughts.
Below you, your emotions. Parlor is the private place, where we keep our secrets and do not share with others. It is our sanctuary. This can imply that you're feeling quite safe as of late. Very good!
In front of you, we have what you're focusing on. Gift. Your focus is on the good things in life, or how you can improve things moving forward.
Behind, what you're struggling with. Prison. Do you feel stuck in place? Does something feel hopeless or otherwise dejected? This card highlights these struggles and calls them into attention.
As well, all cards near you are more important to you, and there is prison, change, parlor, long road, and gift. More neutral than anything else, with a drop of positive and negative each. The journey is more important than the destination, as is the change that the journey gifts upon you. Privacy is also important. And perhaps against your will, the shackles binding you have put themselves into the forefront.
In your row placement, you’re in the 1st Row. You have the most possible control over everything now.
In your column placement, you’re in the 5th column. The road will not be either particularly difficult or easy - but it is still a road.
Now, we consider your companion. I should note that the companion, while often seen to be a romantic partner, is not always. It can be a platonic partner, a friend, a coworker, a mentor, a guide, all sorts of things. This here signals down who it might be.
They sit in the third row of the first column. Surrounding them is house, odyssey, rich girl, letter, and court. They may be the "rich" person, a somewhat snooty figure who isn't always kind (and perhaps they don't need to be). But they are home, in a way, and they will bring you along on great journeys. Your communication is strong, and yet formal.
⛤ ⚬ CENTER CARDS.
The center cards represent the heart of the reading.
Thy are parlor and high honors. Privacy is at the forefront here, as is being well recognized and seen for the great person you are.
⛤ ⚬ HOUSES.
This is the longest part! The drawn card visits the House of the card that belongs there and “mirrors” them, but they’re louder than the House.
Occupation | Siren 1. As Siren 1 is your companion, we can take this to reflect something about your companion. They are someone you work deeply with, perhaps not necessarily in a traditional job. I mean, look towards mentors, spiritual guides, things like that.
Theft | Siren 2. As Siren 2 is you, this means more that something has been lost. You had it before, but something has happened, perhaps at the hands of another, and it's gone now. It's good to note the proximity to positive cards here, or at least leaning positive. So this loss may be one that is ultimately good in nature for you.
Get Together | Marriage. You are already with the companion lined out before you...
Prison | Get Together. ...and this bond is an unending, or at least very long, one. Not one that will just end haphazardly.
Siren | Good Gent. You are the good gent, the figure that guides, supports, leads, aids. That is the current role you fulfill...
Gift | Good Lady. ...and there are other figures out there who desire to help you, who desire to support you and provide for you. Figures in similar roles to you...
Good Gent | Letter. ...you just have to listen for them, seek them out, and let them provide for you. (Always fun when I get a long run-on sentence through the cards, but that's the end of that line.)
Deep Thoughts | False Person. Have you been dealing with someone or something recently that has been unpleasant or something akin to that? Are your thoughts marred and consumed by the thoughts of this?
Expectation | Change. In a simple way, this card indicates an expectation of change, but it also carries a deeper message on its wings: That what you expect to change will change.
House | Odyssey. House means as much house as it does speak of foundations and stability. There is a journey that you've been on that has founded a lot about you and who you are now. Not in the broad-speaking sense, but a more... specific sense. There is one specific journey here, I just don't know what it is...
Odyssey | Wealth. ...but this journey has provided so much flavor and abundance to your life. It fed you, it changed you, and that is good.
Brief Illness | Rich Girl. Return back to the companion for a moment. Has something been going on with the person highlighted by the companion cards? It won't stop you forever, and it will end. There will be peace once again.
Change | Rich Gent. I think in this case, the "rich gent" is more about the non-person factors. The transaction, the security of finance. Has something changed within your financial situation as of late? Or has some other security been threatened that money could fix?
Parlor | Woe. There is a change within your security, within your most personal life, that is causing some problems and some stress.
Long Road | Good Outcome. Your long road that you're on will end well, favorably, and good for you. There is no need to worry.
Marriage | Deep Thoughts. We return once again to the relationship with the companion, and now I must ask you to consider what you've been thinking about and of them as of late.
Endings | Gift. Things ending is so often sad, but it needn't always be. It can be a happy endeavor as well, it can bring something good and positive upon you. In this case, the ending is positive and good.
Hope | Child. I believe child here is indicating more non-person traits, being that of innocence, naivety, and something new. Something has changed and ended, and now something new will fill its place with hope and peace. There isn't something to worry about.
Siren 01 | Endings. We come back to your companion. Now, going by the cards earlier, I don't believe this is a full stop ending. I think this is saying more than something about your relationship is changing and morphing, but it might feel somewhat like something is ending.
Rich Girl | House. Still the companion. I think this is a simple repeat of the fact that this companion is really ground into your life at this point.
False Person | Parlor. Whoever is false to you is really near in your business. Whoever the person spoken of by this card, which isn't necessarily always a tricking person, sometimes we know all too well they are unpleasant and not to be trusted, is just... all up in there.
Child | Military. Both as a non-person card, with child still being innocence, naivety, and something new. Military, however, is more about blockages, constraints, a warning, duty, and discipline. To get into your new thing, you must have discipline enough to break through what blocks you from achieving it.
High Honors | Court. High honors talks a lot about being recognized, being seen for your success and abilities. Court can be about conflict and formalities. Your hard work thus far to resolve your problems is seen and recognized.
Murky Thoughts | Theft. Has something been lost that is causing your thoughts to be scattered and haphazard? Even if less than a direct loss, more metaphorical or metaphysical. This is a negative omen if not passed yet, and it sits afront the querent (albeit below) which can indicate such.
Unexpected Money | High Honors. Your capabilities will bring you positives. Even if not directly money per se, things will be brought to you as thanks to your hard work.
Woe | Good Fortune. But there's some difficulty here. Is something stopping you from doing the work you need to be doing to gain?
Wealth | Unexpected Money. A very auspicious omen! These two cards essentially translate into the same thing: Something positive is coming, and you don't really see it coming.
Letter | Expectation. Letter is all about correspondence and communication, whereas expectation is what we expect and are waiting for. Is there some communication you're waiting on now? Perhaps from your companion, even?
Court | Prison. All the struggles of prison are figured out when under the court. Court takes the tangled mess of ropes that is prison and slowly unravels it all to bring around peace and prosperity once again.
Great Fortune | Mediator. Good things come to those who are smart and know when to be kind and when not to be. Be mindful of yourself and when you need to be which.
Good Lady | Brief Illness. The good lady here is more about the non-person aspects: compassion, joy, and being experienced. These things won't get you out of every trouble, there's just some things that are learned the hard way for no good reason. But it shall be a brief lesson, at least.
Mediator | Sorrow. Sorrow is the "harsher" woe, typically indicating a greater pain and suffering. I think this relates to Great Fortune | Mediator, which says that the situation you need to be smart and act in is one that will bring great sorrow. It's perhaps also related to the card before this one, Good Lady | Brief Illness.
Military | Murky Thoughts. Your need for discipline will come at a time where you don't really want to have that discipline. It will be a pain in the butt.
Rich Gent | Occupation. Rich Gent is a supportive figure, so this can be taken to mean that within your work, a helpful figure will be found.
Sorrow | Long Road. What causes you the sorrow will be long, arduous, and kind of a pain. The sorrow may end quickly, but the situation persists and continues....
Good Outcome | Hope. ...but have hope. All will be well.
⛤ ⚬ THE FOUR CORNERS.
The left corners represent the past. Occupation and Letter. Some working relationship has ended and moved on past you now.
The right, the future. Expectation and Good Outcome. But a new one may blossom in its place and bring you positive and good.
The top corners represent things out of your control. Occupation and Expectation. You might be waiting for something new to come upon you in the working department.
The bottom represent things in your control. Letter and Good Outcome. But you can control how you behave about that something new and make it into something positive.
⛤ ⚬ ROWS.
The first row depicts future circumstances. Things will change in a work-related sector, with something lost and something gained. It might be a very difficult time, but resolved by working hard with others and not acting rashly without thought.
The second row depicts the present circumstances. Things are changing and new things are brewing, while still something ends with a hopeful glimmer. Home life brings a lot of privacy, but you're on a long road where you're perhaps the only one travelling.
The third row depicts past circumstances. You've had pains and struggles, but you have also been highly recognized and seen. There are many people who have been there, both supportive and not, and wealth has come upon you as thanks to all these factors highlighted.
The fourth row depicts your "bottom line". You know how to work things out and through. You can make things work for you. You have all the things you need to achieve it.
⛤ ⚬ COLUMNS.
Moving from left-to-right, we see the next 8 months of your life.
Starting with the present, you've got quite a lot going on. You're with your companion now, and communication is good and steady. Work is a big part of your life right now.
April: And here something is lost and then fought for. A friend comes to help, but the journey is ultimately yours alone, but it's not one you'll fail.
May: You can expect some unwellness, perhaps physical perhaps not. Someone is not your ally like you think they are, but you're alongside them now. It will all turn out okay.
June: With the help of another, things change. You break out of some shackles to just enter new ones.
July: Someone comes in to mediate. You are most present now. Your secrets are revealed to some, and yet they bring you honor and goodness.
August: Something good comes to you, and at the end of a long journey. It's hard to break out of the habits and discipline you developed as due to the journey, though.
September: You make new bonds here, and it brings you unexpected goods.
October: Lots of pain here. Something ended, and it consumes your thoughts.
November: Hope is back. You're finding peace with the pain, and it's allowed to come to peaceful end, and you can get back to things as before.

Note
do you think its possible for a witch who don't see/hear spirits to develop that ? Or is something you're either born with or not
I have heard that through spirit initiation you may be granted the ability if you were not born with it.
I don’t know if it is impossible to develop these abilities without some sort of initiation, but I am assuming it might be difficult since we all have some sort of affinity with certain abilities.
Think of it like people who are naturally more likely to understand math, or to be good with music, or to draw nicely: even when you’re naturally good with these things, you still have to work to make good use out of them, and if you decide to pursue something you’re not as naturally inclined to do you’ll probably have to work a bit harder to get where you want to.
I am yet to see a spirit with my own two eyes even though I’ve been initiated, but I do feel like my intuition/knowing has improved when interacting with spirits. I have also worked more magic since the initiation, and, like I said, we need to practice to make good use of our natural inclinations, so it most likely has more to do with the fact that I’m using my senses more then to the initiation itself.
I believe @windvexer has spoken quite a bit on this topic, so you might wanna read through their blog!
