When you have the time.Makes: 10 peoplePreparation Time: 8 hoursIngredient List:50 oz. chuck roast3 garlic cloves2 white onions4 celery stalks1 cup tomato sauce5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil ¼ cups red wine1 cup chicken broth1 tablespoon Italian seasoning2 tablespoons all purpose flour5 carrots 6 potatoesa pinch of salt and pepper
Preparation:1. Season the roast with salt and pepper and then fry it for a couple minuteson each side, on olive oil, in a large pot.2. When done, transfer the roast into a slow cooker or in another large pot.3. In the same hot oil, fry the chopped onions, chopped celery and garlic,until tender.4. When done, transfer the vegetables onto the roast.5. In a bowl, mix together the tomato sauce with the wine, chicken broth,Italian seasoning, flour and salt and pepper to taste.6.
